"I'm was born and partly raised in Monterrey, then my family moved to Phoenix like, 4 years ago. How 'bout you Ricardo, Where you from?" I replied, but while Ricardo was speaking, i realized i was holding Ricardo's guitar, i then interrupted him. "Yo! Do you play guitar? Oh man! My father always plays me the guitar when i was a kid! Oh man, oh man! Dude, you're always free to enter my room if you play me a song!"

Ricardo chuckled at Darius's enthusiasm upon realizing what he held in his hand. He moved just as they reach the help desk. "Well I'm from Mexico City, born and raised. Though I have been to the United States more than a few times in my life I do have family up here I visit from time to time." He was interrupted by the lady asking for his name again which he responded in a nice tone of voice. WHen he received his room assignment, he grabbed the guitar from Darius's hand, nodding to him. "How about later when all get settled in I'll play a song yeah?" He gave him a quick noded thanking him for the help with a smile as he walked to his room.

Ricardo arrived at his room door as he leaned against it for some air not realizing it was unlocked as he came tumbling backward his suitcase flying through the air, hitting the wall. "WAH-" was all he said as he had the wind knocked out of him, looked above he noticed someone else here. "Oh-hello--- didn't realize somebody was here already---" Extremely out of breath as he tried to sit up.

Marie got to her dorm, and saw another girl already there, she smiled sweetly, "Bonjour," she set down her stuff, "I am Marie-Christine Bourgeois, its a pleasure to make your acquaintice, Mademoiselle." She smiled again as she pulled out her phone and sent a text for her driver from earlier to bring the rest of her stuff there. "I hope can we become friends, Oui? And It seems we are on the same team as well, this all is so very exciting."

It didn't take long for the driver to be knocking at the door of the dorm, Marie walked over and opened it, "Marci, Jacques, j'espère que vous avez un bon retour, dis à Mère et Père que j'ai dit adieu et que je les aime, s'il te plait."
He nods and smiles, "Vous êtes la bienvenue, madame, et je ne manquerai pas de transmettre le message."
She smiles and dismisses him as she began to unpack.

"Du er nær meg. Så nær meg, Sommerdrøm kom hit. Du er nær meg, Så nær meg. Jeg er på veien di--" I was strumming my guitar whilst singing and i get interrupted by the door swinging open, i was startled, and i quickly gripped my guitar. "E-excuse me? Can i help you?" I ask the girl that opened the door.

"Bonjour! I'm sorry i disturbed you! Your singing was beautiful!"
Says the girl whilst she set her things down, "I am Marie-Christine Bourgeois, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mademoiselle." The girl- i meant Marie-Christine, pulled out her phone, and says "I hope can we become friends, Oui? And It seems we are on the same team as well, this all is so very exciting." "Uhm, sure... I'm Heather Tennfjord, it's... nice to meet you." I look her deep in the eyes and say "Look we need some rules on our room and i need you to cooperate, please." "Bien, what do you propose?" Christine replies, "Wellll, just the basic roommate stuff, should be common knowledge, and also don't touch my guitar without my permission, please?" Someone knocked on our door and i was startled a second time. Marie-Christine quickly opened the door and a man carrying baggage was outside the door, they conversed in french, so i didn't even try to eavesdrop.

After their conversation, she unpacked her things. I started to make conversation, and i asked "Hey Christine, yeah, i'll call you Christine, do you sing?"

Marie

Marie was still unpacking as Heather started a conversation, "I you are going to shorten my name, i would prefer you to use Marie, it is my Saints name," she smiled and held her rosary, "I am named after St. Mary, Mother of God." She giggled as she put her rosary on and finished unpacking. She thought on Heather's question as she did, "I know how to sing, Oui. I was taught from a young age, I can also play piano and violin. If that helps at all, why do you ask?" She gave the girl an inquisitive look as she put away the bags her stuff was in. She then started to put her bedding onto her mattress, she struggled slightly not being used to making her own bed. "Where are you from? And what is your family like?" She continued to smile as if she would never stop smiling.

"Let's see now... Ah, here we go, Finn Room 201." Tim opened the door to see Noah, inside. "Hey, Noah. Fancy seeing you here." Finn crawled over to the bed with Tim's name and proceeded to burrow under the covers. "Now that's just perfect, ya overgrown armadillo." Tim looked at the card. "What team did you get assigned to? "Oh boy, hear that Colmillo? Ricardo's going to play us a song!" Colmillo then laughs with enthusiasm and excitement. Since i already settled my things at my room, and i already got my key, i then head towards my room alongside Colmillo.

As i open the door to my room, i saw an Asian boy inside the room, with a white fox laying in one of the beds, i presumed he was my roommate, so i quickly introduced myself and Colmillo.

"Hey man! Name's Darius! And this cute bastard here, is Colmillo! So, we're apparently your roommate."

Room 202

Shifting a little as he heard someone enter the room, he laid there for a few seconds before turning around to face the ceiling. He would lie there for another 10 seconds as Yeowoodong began to slowly approach and sniff the Hyena and it's owner before growling a little. The moment he heard growling, he shot up as he dove over to pick her up. "Right, i'll introduce myself. My name is Himita, that is all you need for now. This fox is Yeowoodong. Just make sure that Calmillo doesn't mess with her and you won't have to get a crystal blade 1 inch of your throat." After getting up, he looked over at the boxes as he went over and began to unpack whatever he had then.

Segral wrote:"Nah, didn't see nothing in the woods, I also took the shuttle." Adrian sighed and lay down on his bed. "So." he said with some renewed energy, "I'm going to take a power nap if that's all right with you. I'm dead after that flight, and...other incidents." Oscar then jumped up beside him. He stroked Oscar's fur as he dove under the covers of the right bed, still in his street clothes. Oscar then snuggled beside him in his favorite spot. He was about ready to conk, but first said, "See ya in a couple hours, Barron." before drifting off.

Barron blinked curiously at the mention of 'other incidents'. There had been some kind of ruckus just before Adrian came in. Was he part of it? The teen shrugs, figuring it didn't involve himself nor must have been too bad considering Adrian looked perfectly unharmed. Probably just some settling in differences or something, likely unavoidable given the circumstances.
They were a bunch of teenagers in what he supposed would amount to a high school in the normal realm of things with magic no one would have believed was real and the rest of the world still did not know was real. And they were supposedly being trained in this magic by this school to be defenders/soldiers for humanity against a mystical enemy. Things were going to happen. His roommate seeming to want to sleep left Barron at a wonder of what to do with himself. He certainly was not tired yet, but wouldn't bother Adrian with more chatter and disrupt him.
"See you later." The young Aurawalker says back, deciding he could find something to do for the next few hours. "I'll be outside. Or at least as far as campus goes. I think we weren't suppose to go off the grounds yet. I hope we do soon. I want to-" Barron realized he was rambling and quieted, grabbing one of the books from his bed. He was disappointed that Adrian hadn't spotted anything on the trip either, but he had taken the shuttle way as well and so couldn't really be blamed. That didn't mean there wasn't anything there, they just had not yet seen them.
He most likely wouldn't be able to from the edge of campus either, but he could at least look for signs. That's what the book was for, all the information he would need.
"Come on, Fallax." He prompts, the vulture flapping up to his shoulder and finding its grip there as Barron headed out the door to search for his ever elusive forest creatures.

Marie keeps struggling, "I am very sure that I would prefer Marie, or M-C for short, one of the two please." She gives a nod and she finished her statement, after a little bit of her trying to get the bed sheet on she huffs, "Oui, some help would be very nice Mademoiselle Heather, you see I've never made a bed before." She blushes a little bit, "I have always had people to make my bed for me, you see my family gained wealth in the late 1600s from Caribbean sugar plantations and more in the 17 and 1800s from whaling, so we've always had money and servants." She give a shy smile.

Gaelle Rhyner

When the introduction was finally over, Gaelle returned to the area they'd entered at and picked up her bags, throwing one over her shoulder and holding the other one, almost straining her muscles as she tried to lift the thing. But despite her not that large stature, she was able to hold the two large bags up as she made her way to the hallway where the dorms were. She tried to remember her room number, and realized she hadn't met her roommate, Christine, yet. Christine was one of the ones who hadn't responded to her little stunt, either because of not hearing her or intentionally ignoring her.

She got the door open, and set her bags down with a thud when she got inside, panting. She wanted to pat herself on the back just for getting them up there. She started unpacking, but she only took her most important items out. Her clothes and other things could be unpacked later. And when she entered and started unpacking, she was followed by the ethereal being known as her spirit animal. Celine, the Bengal tigress that had been a part of her life recently.

The tiger sat down in the middle of the room, and after finally getting her first bag empty, Gaelle flopped down next to her. Almost a bit tired from what they'd already done this day, and definitely a bit jetlagged.

He tapped Finn on the head, and the ball loosened enough to extract the card. Tim offered it to Rochi to see if he was still interested.

Forest State wrote:---

Riding across the quad, Christine eventually reached the first building on the left, which was the girl's dorm, and began looking around for Room 104, the one she would be living in from now on... quite likely with someone else, seeing how she had noticed several girls walking into their rooms in pairs and such. Working under the assumption that she would be assigned a roommate, she began to wonder what the other girl would be like, and this wondering quickly devolved into her usual fantasizing: perhaps she would be a perfect and loyal sidekick, willing to follow her in her most daring adventures, or maybe a strong and mature girl that could serve as a mentor figure for her. Smiling to herself as she began to hum quietly, the blonde girl continued searching, very much looking forward to meeting that person.

Fortunately for her, the search came to an end quite shortly. Standing before the door to Room 104, she climbed down from the back of her spirit animal and fished into her pants' pocket for the key. "Well, this is it King Arthur! Sadly I don't think we'll fit through the door, you'll just have to walk in last." She stated, to which the lion simply responded with another grunt of indifference. Snickering at her companion's predictably blunt demeanor, the British girl turned the key and opened the door, walking into her room... or trying to, with the glaive slung across her back preventing entry. Muttering something that seemed to be about blood on her weapon but was in fact just a common expression for her, she took the glaive off her back and actually walked in this time, looking around the room, and especially at her roommate, a cute-looking European girl with black hair who was currently lying on the ground next to her spirit animal, a Bengal tiger.

"Oh my god you have a Bengal tiger as a spirit animal? That's so ace! We must have the coolest animals in the whole school!" The British girl spoke excitedly upon walking through the door, moving her arms in a very expressive fashion, though she took care not to hit anything with the glaive she was still holding. "You're my new roommate right? I'm Christine, I hope we'll be good friends!" She said afterwards, tossing her glaive and her duffel bag onto the one free bed in the room (taking care not to hit the few objects she had noticed on top of it) and then offering her hand to the girl with black hair, beaming at her.

"Royalty?!" Tim seemed floored by the idea. "No way. My mother worked at a post office! We'd never even heard of an Aurawalker before the school's representative showed up at our door." Tim pondered the idea for a while longer. "If there are Aruawalkers in the family, they failed to mention it at the reunions."

Tim started to unpack his duffle, putting his clothes in the dresser. "How about you? Did you know anything about the 'walker way before?"

Hothnia wrote:Anna Seikelmann, Monday, October 2nd, Colorado, United States of America

Anna finished her prayer quickly as the door to her room opened. She lifted her head to catch a glimpse of her new roommate. Anna immediately felt self-conscious. The girl was much larger and more imposing than her. Probably prettier as well, but Anna couldn't tell. As the girl spoke, Anna frowned. She hadn't heard her kind of accent before. It was almost as if it was a grotesque attempt at an Anglo-Saxon accent. " Hallo. I must ask, vhere are you from? I must say, I've never heard your kind of accent before. Are you English? By zhe vay, I'm Anna. Anna Seikelmann."

Anna looked down at Blitz. The dog looked disappointed at her, almost as if she had done something wrong. What did I do this time? Was I too inquisitive? Anna looked in fear at her roommate. Please don't get mad at me already. That would be bad.

October 2nd : Tanith Bettelheim: Room 102

Shuffling over towards her bed, Tanith sighed and sat down next to the bronze badge--or was it brass, metallurgy weren't her forte--and blaring orange schoolgirl uniform. The duffelbag and fender case were set onto the soft carpet. That wasn't quite the greeting she was looking for, but beggars can't be choosers.

"Tanith," she replied, flashing her a shaky smile. "Tanith Bettelheim. Born and raised in good ol' Texas. That's where the accent comes from, by the way."

She peeled her eyes away from Anna and carefully inspected the bronze badge. It had two words on it: Team Aurora. It had a nice ring to it. But it was too bad that Team Eclipse took all the good puns. The only feeling she could muster for them--their team name, that is, not necessarily the people on them--at the moment was utter loathing. Pure, unadulterated loathing for the missed opportunities. She would have to stay up the whole night just to think of an acceptable Aurora pun.

Tanith would ask what team Anna was on, but after one good look at the badge on her bedside, she could tell that she was on Team Eclipse. Neato. She paused to think of a question. "So how do you like it so far at Colorado? It's a bit colder here than what I'm used to, but overall, the people seem like decent folk." There's a reason she's wearing a scarf.

Wile's eyes were locked onto Blitz. Looks like a weird coyote! But doesn't smell like one. Must be 'dog.' Fascinating! Must investigate. He carefully approached him.

The Cyberiad Council wrote:"Royalty?!" Tim seemed floored by the idea.

Noah gazed at Tim, thinking on this answer. "Hmm...I'm not so sure." He gave a quick look up and down, before shrugging. "Maybe you're just in denial." As honest as this diagnosis was, a slight smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

"Nothing, to be honest...I just went to high school. My parents didn't have any idea, either. I didn't believe it, at first, but..well, it's kinda hard to not be convinced now."

Anna Seikelmann, Monday, October 2nd, Colorado, United States of America

Anna nodded as she listened intently to Tanith speak. " Glad to have met you Tanith. You're zhe first person from Amerika I've known. And Ja, it seems fine here in Amerika. A bit cooler than zhe part of Deutschland I lived in but, still pleasant. You said you came from Texas, in zhe south near Mexico? What's it like there compared to here?" Anna was truly fascinated by the girl. An actual American! From near-Mexico! What an experience that must be! I wonder if she's like those American soldiers that are always at the restaurant down the street. I hope so. They always seem so happy, so carefree, powerful but fun. Anna sighed happily.

Blitz on the other hand, wasn't enjoying himself nearly as much. The wolfhound lay on the floor, eyes closed and head tucked between his paws. Anna, this really isn't that exciting. It's quite normal. Anna, almost if she sensed the dog speaking to her, looked down at him and smiled. Blitz snorted. I swear, if anyone else lives her behind, someone's going to pay. She doesn't deserve this. Blitz's thoughts were short by his detection of movement. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the other spirit animal in the room slowly creeping towards him, unthreateningly. Blitz turned his gaze and regarded the wolf with large Amber eyes. Hmm... He doesn't look threatening. That's good. Very good. Blitz continued to watch the wolf with sharp eyes, making sure he didn't try anything funky.

I stood up and grabbed the other side of the blanket of Marie's bed sheet, and as i helped her, i replied to her statement. "Oh Marie, I've been there before, back home in Norway, our housemaids always fixes everything, but as soon as i moved into the United States, i learned to live by myself." As we finished fixing her bed, i looked at Marie and said, "Well that should be it." with a sweet smile.

Daniel van Breems,
Room 201

Daniel stared at his dorm with a mix of impish glee and complete dread. He never had to deal with roommates before, partially because most people were smart enough not to bunk with him lest they become casualties in his war against the administration of whichever school he was attending. His dog, Paul, on the other hand, couldn't be happier to have new friends to chase around and play with. But he needed to stake his claim on the room and set to unpacking his cloths, stuff, and his prized Remington Shotgun he got from his father. It surprised Daniel when the school allowed him to bring his hunting shotgun and all it's accessories, surprised his parents even more so. This caused quite a bit of late night arguing before they finally decided to let him attend St. Draefend, but he was most of all surprised the school allowed him to bring Paul as well. Most schools wouldn't allow him to bring Paul along and instead would force him to keep his beloved dog in either England or Belgium.

As he unpacked, Paul began to transform his part of the room into a psuedo-temple to both KNVB and the Queen's Park Rangers. Team flags were draped against the wall beside his bed, and signed posters from players adorned the empty spaces between his desk, dresser, and closet. By the time he was done, one would think that they were entering part of a museum as they stepped into the room.

October 2nd : Tanith Bettelheim : Room 102

"The very same for you," Tanith nodded. "That's..." She paused to scratch the back of her head. "...that's quite the question you have there! I couldn't even begin to tell you how many differences there are, but by gum are there a lot of them!"

Actually, Tanith was in the middle of telling her right now, but she was trying to make a point. "Well, first of all, it's not this stinkin' cold. In Texas, your ice cream would melt if you stayed still for just one minute, but back here... back here, you are the ice cream. And you only could wish you'd melt. I'm not kidding. Also, the food here sucks. Well, it doesn't really suck per se, but it's nothing like what I had at home. Not to mention that the people here are so stiff!" She shuddered. "Not a hello, not a nod, not a smile. Don't even look at you."

Tanith could write an entire essay on the differences between Colorado and Texas, but she had a school to explore and a sprucing to do. Essays just didn't fit into it. "So... how is it like in Deutschland?" She tilted her head. "I think that's Germany, right? Correct me if I'm wrong."

She hummed to the tune of a song she forgot the name of and immediately started "sprucing up" the place. It was not too long before Tanith's half of the room was covered in math notes, 90s' movie posters, and three rustic floating shelves with little knick-knacks on them. Mostly pictures, dolls, and odd figurines. The things that she'll never need. A small red toolbox sat on top of the dresser, and the fender case and backpack rested against the wall. Bits of paper were scattered about the floor.

That was okay, Tanith thought. I'll pick those up later.

Stepping backwards, Tanith inspected her work. A small smile crept onto her face. It felt just like home, except a little less messy!

Ignoring Blitz's stare, Wile went to do something productive, like make himself a pillow fort from the cushions on the chair. Despite not having opposable thumbs or enough cushions, he managed to create something akin to a tent, though it immediately collapsed the second his jaws left the fabric. He sighed with his nonexistent lungs. Making an acceptable fort would take a while.

"Pleasure to meet you Hunter." shaking his hand enthusiastically looking over at the slumbering polar bear "And you as well Aldwyn." Letting go of his hand he walked back to his bed. "And this is Avita." Gesturing to the golden eagle on top of the dresser pecking it for a few seconds. "She is eccentric sometimes." Avita chirped with some anger at Ricardo, who just tilted his head at her. He grabbed the card on his bed looking at it for a few seconds. "Very interesting school can't wait to see the rest of it." he chuckled.

Anna Seikelmann, Monday, October 2nd, Colorado, United States of America

Anna cocked her head. " Isn't zhat normal? People not saying hello? I mean, a few people alvays do but those people are few. Maybe I'm wrong. I personally haven't been outside of Deutschland, or really Bremen for zhat matter." Anna frowned. "Und Ja, Deutschland is Vhat you call Germany. From Vhat I can tell, it's a very beautiful and Efficent nation. Like I said, I rarely leave zhe orphanage in Bremen. I don't really have zhe option to."

Anna looked at all the decorations adorning her rommate's part of the room. She looked back towards her side, where just a crucifix hung above her bed. A spring of jealousy sprung inside her. Why does she seem so wealthy? I'll ask her later. Anna shook her head to clear her mind. " So, do you know Vhat zhey mean vhen zhey talk about us being descended from royalty, or zhe rich? I'm certainly not rich or have royal blood."

Blitz watched the other dog with curiosity. Once Blitz recognized he was building something, the dog turned his eyes back to the girls talking. As Anna brought up being descended from royalty, Blitz stiffened. The dog looked back towards the other girl, eager to see what she had to say. This could go very badly or very well.

October 2nd : Tanith Bettelheim : Room 102

"Geez," Tanith muttered under her breath. "Might be just a Texan thing, but I can't be the judge on that. Sounds--I'd say nice--but from the way you describe it, it's, well, not." It must be terrible having to spend most of your time in an orphanage. She twiddled her thumbs.

Though she was by no means a master of feelings and empathy, she could at least tell that she struck a chord with Anna, and not necessarily the right one, either.

She quickly diverted the subject.

"I think that's just an expression," Tanith replied awkwardly. "My brother's a blimp pilot. Ancestry.com said squat about royalty. But then again," her attention shifted to the mass of pillows on the floor. "Maybe they're talking about Aurawalker royalty! Who knows? Heh." She didn't, that's for sure.

From underneath the coarse pillows, a small coyote pretends to sleep. Pretending to sleep almost felt like actual sleeping. It felt great! Did spirit animals even sleep? Even he didn't know. His ear twitched as he felt a twinge of disappointed. Smooth, Tanith, smooth, he thought to himself.
