Prophet

As he continued his onslaught against the planes, Prophet could see as Novaya sent out planes of his own for God knows why.

"Goddamnit Novaya, get your planes back down now! With that amount of AA I'm cranking out, friendly fire is guaranteed!" He shouted, refusing to let up on the planes, since he knew that if he were to stop, he could very easily die.

Salvation

Tying the knot to keep the bandage in place, Salvation heard Stilly speak. He assumed that Amy was a repair vessel like him, but the question of whether or not he had a girlfriend caught him off guard. With a light pink tint in his cheeks, Salvation responded.

"No, I do not. And neither does Prophet, as far as I know." He replied.

Locust

Deep beneath the waters around the Kanmusu naval base, I was parked on the seafloor, my radar alerting me of the large amount of hostiles in the skies. I wasn't going to risk surfacing, since I didn't need to, and that they didn't see me, so I was invisible to them. Not like I could help anyways, considering that I had no air defense to speak of. So I simply chose to wait out the carnage until they turn tail for where ever they came from, and if they were from a carrier, then my Piranha Teams would show them how deep I can go.

HMBS Legate
Legate had, at heart, an old-fashioned view of warfare. The primary forces were of course, without question, the battleship line, with the escorts providing but auxiliary support. Legate herself, as a carrier, never honestly expected to be bombed herself. Perhaps it was a rather childish delusion, that she was going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb her. But it was the view she had held. Had held, until aircraft started streaking from the skies. Now, her anti-aircraft suite was by no means brilliant, but it was typically adequate. However, her fire directors were an entirely different matter. They were calibrated, and her gunners trained, to fire on aircraft similar to her own complement. Certainly not the aircraft of the late-war that swarmed her now. 4.5-inchers opened up, Pom-Poms opened up, even the Vickers .50 cals joined in. A rocket streaked right past Legate's face, causing her to recoil. She wasn't used to this, she was used to gunfire, war rockets were a thing of the most absurd science fiction!

What certifiably wasn't science fiction to Legate happened next. The worst possible thing, with the worst possible luck. A Swordfish on deck, which had been loaded down with 6 250 lb. bombs, received a rocket right into the engine. The Swordfish and its bomb load detonated, sending shrapnel, shards of plane, and faires all over the deck and into the air. The tightly-packed squadron of aircraft on deck went up like so much kindling, a blazing inferno right on her flight deck. "Bloody flight deck's bloody buggered, bloody hell!" She screamed, stumbling back frantically... right into a torpedo. It was sheer dumb luck she caught it in the torpedo bulge that had fitted onto her during her conversion into a carrier, leaving her hull mercifully intact. She found herself listing, the fire barely being contained by damage control parties.

"I'm bloody buggered..." Legate said into the radio, voice rather hoarse from screaming, "Me flight deck's a bloody bonfire, somebody needs to take the lads in the air..." She quickly switched frequencies to her squadrons. "Skipper, get yer arse back here and stop chasing bloody cabbage crates, we might need more air cover." "Roger that, breaking off." came the crisp reply. She switched to the Swordfish strike force that had been en route to the Island Princess. "Break off, lads, enemy well and intact. Support the bloody landlubbers, then hightail it back. One of the other carriers is gonna have to land ye."

"Aha, you really needn't worry, lass," Spartan reassured Rhi, still standing straight up, "in all likelihood the shells will never-" And then a 15 inch shell landed right next to the two of them, drenching Spartan in water. HLFFS Heavenforetrekker / HLTS Hazel
Unknown Sector
- Lost at Sea

O’ Grandseas, O’ Grandseas.
Farenout I sail the winds,
Farenout the glazensun,
In my glazenskip I sail,
Set to sea aloft and true.

O’ Grandseas, O’ Grandseas.
Here I was on the waves,
Far from friends’n’land ahoy.
Washed ‘way’n lost adrift,
But ne’er so much forgotten.

O’ Grandseas, O’ Grandseas.
Cast me the song of your winds,
For I must sail true and aloft,
Naught upon the storms,
But upon my way back home.

O’ Grandseas, O’ Grandseas.
Do not leave me adrift alone.
Do not let the waves engulf me.
Do not misguide me to my doom.
Nor shalt you smash me sails.

O’ Grandseas, O’ Grandseas.
If you’re listening to me,
Let me sprout my wings,
So I can take to the skies,
For I am the Heavenforetrekker.

Whona nodded tiredly to the tender, "Send them over, watch out for anything my crew are tossing over."
She then turned back over to Dia, "Load the Mark 8's, then you'll be punching at Yamato weight, blast that son of a bitch."

Dia nodded shakily, her crew unloading the lighter shells and loading the 16" cannons with 2,700-pound ballistic caps. She waited impatiently for the crew to finish, and after about a minute she was given the green signal.
"Cover your ears, please." She warned Amy, the blast would be nowhere near as loud as someone like Cathy, but it'd spook someone close who wasn't prepared.
She turned full to port, locking in the same firing coordinates, "Full broadside away!"
The guns let fly their payload, with a shattering crack.

Whona turned to Amy, "Now I hate to be rude, but beach myself where exactly?"
She motioned to the expanse of water around them.
"Once we get back I'll beach myself gladly, but not right now."
She smiled wickedly, "Unless you want me to beach myself on their side, give them a surprise!"

Locust

Waiting as my radar showed the planes turning tail and running, I got a lock on where they were coming from. Hugging as close to the seafloor as I possibly could, my engines started up, slowly picking up speed as I glided over the seafloor, headed in the direction of the fleeing planes. It would take a while to get where they were headed to, so I chose to surface as soon as they were out of my radar range to make the trip shorter. In any case, I most likely had a better use in potentially sinking a carrier than trying to defend the base. As the seafloor began to fall, I fell with it, and when it would rise, I'd rise, as if I was a boat on the waves. But I could go much deeper than this, and I was proud of that. Well, if I could feel pride anyways, that program wasn't in my emotional database yet. Suddenly, I could see the floor end, turning into a cliff adjacent to a much deeper depth, which I of course descended to, my sonar searching for any return signals on the surface.

Recon plane Khorak-4.
In the skies.

The lone pilot found herself looking down at a smokescreen for some carrier or something- only to hear the screech of Abyssal engines. The fairy frantically looked around, panicking as the fighters dove on her. Almost instantly, the cloth armored biplane was completely shredded, combusting and spiraling out of control, straight down towards the ocean. The fairy grabbed her parachute, standing up and jumping away from the plane. Miraculously, she wasn't critically wounded.

Empress Catherine
Open Ocean

Catherine's 6 inch guns would fall silent, allowing herself to hear both Rhiannon's orders, and her own crew alert her to a lost plane. Catherine would give her weaponry about 30 seconds to cool off before everything started to switch to explosive rounds. Her massive waterjet engines would fall silent, allowing her to slowly drift to a halt. This was her strongpoint. Oh yes, this would be the greatest thing Catherine's crew would ever witness. Every SINGLE gun, from 37mm to 914mm, all rotated towards the enemy airbase.

"Comrades, you are to load and fire these guns as fast as humanly possible. 6 inch raises to 20 degrees. 12 inch raises to 13 degrees. 36 inch raises to 9 degrees." Catherine held herself steady, gripping onto her own rig and pushing one foot back, preparing for the immense recoil she was about to go through. She grit her teeth tightly, smiling like a madwoman as her 36 inch guns finally exited the loading process, raising accordingly.

"All guns, obliterate target airfield princess!"

That was all her fairies needed to hear. Just like that, the primary, secondary, and tertiary armament all blasted away, knocking her back a few feet. The 6 inch guns were firing erratically, due to slightly various loading speeds [blame the fairies]. The 12 inch guns would fire apart from the 36 inch guns, just to not tear herself apart. Atleast, that's what she intended. The largest hailstorm of explosives ever created at once unleashed upon the princess. "WHERE ARE YOUR AIRCRAFT NOW, CYKA!?" The 9 mile shockwave would be sent out every time those earthquake guns fired. And she would keep firing. Her superstructure was actually rattling from all the gunpowder.
The union stands as strong as ever, planet after planet falling into our hands.
All who oppose us will fall!
For Borysyuk!
For the motherland!

When the shells, all of them, came down around Tsuki, she saw herself already going down... and when the world had stopped shaking, she knew, that she was going down.
Not painless, in one large explosion, like Riana, but slowly flooding to death, her damage control unable to do anything against it. She exhaled.
No, she wouldn't go down so pitifully. She would die fighting.
Ignoring the message bag, she powered her engines up, one last time, not even reaching cruise speed, as her guns fell silent - loading armour pierching shells one last time.
[Once more onto the breach...], she whispered to herself, seeing one of her torpedo launchers still operable as she took on more and more water, [...dear friends, once more...] She broke through her smoke, aiming by eyes and sheer luck, firing her guns at both the heavy cruiser she had battled not too long ago and the fresh lassie of a battleship, Coriolanus, as the identification chart said, without any hope of sinking the latter.
Moreover, she released a salvo of torpedoes, one last time.
[...or close up the walls with our honourable dead!], she finished her quote.
She was sure, that she would die, but she would be damned if she didn't die fighting.

SPN Sergei Malinokov,
Exhausted, physically and mentally

Sergei felt a pang of grief as he fired his main guns at the damaged light cruiser. She'd fought well and fought honorably during the course of the battle, giving back as much as she took, and had it been him, he would have let the light cruiser live, but it wasn't in the cards. Coriolanus was firing on the abyssal, and Rustyal was trying to kill her with a thousand cuts. Time seemed to slow as he watched the silver traces flew through the air before boring into the light cruisers hull, finishing her in one final strike. "Restul bine, tovarăș." He as he watched the last salvo of torpedoes rocket towards him, cutting through the water. He didn't try to maneuver around it or slow down to avoid the salvo, he felt an odd calm settle over him and was ready to accept his end with the dignity of a soldier, but due to some stroke of dumb luck, the torpedoes missed him completely. "Huh... how about that." He thought before the damage reports came rolling in. "Sir, the boiler is overheated and multiple bulkheads are flooded. Turrets three and four are heavily damaged and we can't clear them without returning to port..." Sergei began to fade in and out of consciousness, ignoring the report as he sailed up to Coriolanus under half-speed. "Coriolanus... I can't feel my leg and I can't see out of my left eye."

SPN Fyodor Volkov,
Open Waters, enjoying the skeet shoot

Fyodor was having too much fun as his AAA batteries thundered against the sky, sending their explosive complaints at the Abyssal strike groups overhead. Another plane went down and a cry went up from his fairies before the blanket of lead continued to thunder in defiance of the Abyssal attempts to sink them. Further out, Fyodor kept half an eye on his strike groups as the flew towards the renewed abyssal carrier. "She will not make it out alive." He thought, demanding a more than his fair share for the pilots he lost because of her and her damned fighters. "I will e the one to sink her, no one else." He watched the carrier's silhouette grow as his planes neared her.

"Torpedoes in the water, evasive maneuvers!" As Kaifu tried to weave through the torpedoes, 3 struck his hull as he laughed at the strikes, now burning on one hole as the pinging of his sonar got louder. "You know, maybe this wasn't the smartest idea for you hunks of metal. Now sink!" He sped forward at full speed, making the fire burst out from the front as his eyes now resembled that of Higashikawa, red with an aura almost flowing behind them as he began to fire another salvo of 8 depth charges towards their estimated location as he gave relentless chase, while Kaguya quickly sped back to the rear to evade the action.

As the rockets fell, a chunk suddenly crashed into the sea as Tokai winced. "Flight deck lost, launch capabilities lost!" As she radioed it, she continued her barrage of 10 cm shells as more and more began to fill the sky, relentlessly shooting anything that flew in the sky out of it as the shrapnel from the shells began to fill the sky over the shells themselves.

Naval base

As the fairies returned back from their failed interception, the extent of the damage on the base could be seen in a certain sector. Two buildings were set on fire as Himiko and Himito quickly ordered some of their fairies around, trying to put the fire out while also helping the others with putting the fires on the bases out.

I could watch in mute horror as the attacking planes did the simple thing: Drop the bombs and get the ruddy hell out. A few were shot down, a lot more were damaged, by the looks of it, but most got away, the few of our fighters, which got in the air, hot on their heels. As every aircraft had been needed to participate in the offense, those were not many.
The damages, though... I heard the howling of the fire engines belonging to the Base Fire Department, their sirens blaring as they went to work. Amongst the express delivery by our friends from Abyssal Dive Bombing Delivery Service had been several incendiary devices, which now threatened to make the damages even larger.
Small blessings as, apparently, none of the ammunition stores, freighters or fuel tanks had been hit.
That would have been catastrophic.
I reached up.
"Miuil, Flag.", I began to speak calmly over the airwaves, ignoring the screaming and yelling as I did so (especially the unbefitting comments of that Novaya-Person), as I walked towards the Admiralty, "The enemy conducted a successful air strike against the base, damage assessment has to wait for a bit. With your permission, I will take command of the situation and see to there being a base left when you return. Neither docks nor ammunition depots had been hit. Also..." I spotted something out of the corner of my eye, a wall blasted open revealing what looked like the Brig. And an Abyssal sitting there, behind her overturned bed in cover. "...Ma'am, do I want to ask why we have an Abyssal on base?"
Just around then, an Abyssal Dive Bomber crashed into the remains of the Brig before going up in an explosion as he apparently had still carried her bomb. Well, some problems solved themselves, but I would still love to know...

Cowering Re, Bombed Cell

So much for cover.

Aside from having its wall blasted in, a crashing Dive Bomber decided to go out with a bang and plow right into her, causing both to go up when its payload detonated. This caused what was left of the brig to collapse. Nothing stirred from the rubble for a few seconds, before a bit of debris shifted. "Owie...." A voice a bit softer than the deadpan and sarcastic Re could be heard, muffled by the rubble. "I-is anyone out there...?" The voice asked, definitely not the same voice as Re. "I....I'm in need of assistance..."

Two buildings were set on fire as Himiko and Himito quickly ordered some of their fairies around, trying to put the fire out while also helping the others with putting the fires on the bases out.

Miuil. Naval Base.
I grinned at the rocket cruiser from Germany, who seemed friendly enough.
"Perfect timing!", I said in slightly accented German, the same I used on Rosario and her girls, melodic and with rolling Rs and dropped vowels, much like my English sounded. "Oberth, I need you to check on the other frieghters. That this base is still standing is a good sign, because most of them have ammunition onboard. And a lot of it. Once you have them secured and checked, call me over radio. Their names are Bärenfels, Rauenfels, Alster, Kattegat and Neidenfels. They're Germans like you."
I put a hand on her shoulder, reminding myself of Rosario still being docked. They had sought cover, I knew as much, but where...? I did not know it, but they had hidden themselves in one of the warehouses, hoping to not be a target. It worked quite well.
"As for the other questions... I believe, that we'll have to have words with some people." I looked at her heavy anti-aircraft artillery. "Can I count on you?
Reports streamed in of two fellow auxilliary vessels coordinating some of the efforts around us, which was appreciated - the sooner we got everything under control, the better. The Abyssals targetted our dorms, after all, and as soon as our weary warriors would return, we needed the resting places and baths and showers.
"I'll go check if the Brig is still in one piece.", I finished. The reasoning was simple: There had been an Abyssal in there before the attack, now that I couldn't see it, it might have run off, which would be bad. "Off we go!"
With Oberth with orders, I ran off, towards the Brig and stopped shortly before the pile of rubble: There was someone calling for help.
"Hello?", I asked in English, "Someone there?"

Searc. Battle of the Carriers.
Finally, after what seemed like a veritable eternity, the onslaught of Abyssal Aircraft ended - not with the last of them plunging into the sea, but with them retreating, ammunition spent. Quite a lot of them had been shot down and none of them departed without at least medium damages, but they departed, despite our best efforts.
I knew the sentiment. The arrows with the pink fletching, the VT-shells, were almost spent and my AA-guns reported not much in the ways of ammunition left. My quiver was getting more and more empty.
That problem paled in comparison to what was in front of me. The carriers... they were battered. Damages all around, Rhiannon's boyfriend (a delectable piece of meat, one should add), had been hit the worst as it seemed from afar, but both Tokai and Legate were currently inoperable.
And all of that was my fault. I messed up. Big time. Shit.
There was no other was of putting it.
And as I stood there, tears welling up in my eyes, my fairies went to work: Boats and dinghies were lowered into the water to pick up crews and fairies, who had been washed into the water, the ERTs were getting ready for deployment onto other vessels, the fire-hoses were made ready, too, and I found myself reaching up to my radio.
"Searc, Carrier Group. Who needs assistance the most?", I asked over the airwaves, my eyes falling onto Legate, Prophet and Tokai.

Stilly. With Salvation.
I giggled at the repair ship's blush.
Lightly, but without any hacking - it suppose, that was a good sign? I am only a sloop, not a repair ship.
"You'd like her.", I told him, "She's pretty, gentle, brave, motherly... a true Star Lynx." People back home always said, that a female Selkie had the heart of a Star Lynx, an animal endemic to the Free Lands, beating in their chests... and there was much chest in case of Amy. "You'd really like her... and you'll make her acquaintance, even without me introducing you. She took care of us sloops, you know?"

Rhiannon. Landing Forces.
Channel 19 was full of reports about the positions of Abyssal Pockets, pillboxes and similar things, heavy guns firing at our poor landing forces. There were already quite a few losses amongst the fairies of 3 Horse.
They requested a lot of fire support and I was happy to help - but for me and my composite bow, it was simply far too much work. We needed help, more firepower.
And we needed that ruddy bitch of an Airfield Princess gone.
That Pale Skinned Freak.
The Swordfishes soon came in as well, adding their own volume of fire to our output onto the beaches, my lads and lassies waving at them with grins and cheers, I myself raising my hand in greeting as I had to pause for a moment to let my guns/bow cool down a bit. I would have to thank Legate for sending those planes, they were a real help.
And, as most of the enemy AA-weaponry was more occupied with firing on the landing forces, their losses should have been... not minimal, but not exactly high. No fighters were there as well, which might have helped.
Then a rather large shell swished past my head again and I began to fire at them again, the battle raging on, until something happened with the Airfield Princess...

Amy. With Whona.
I did not cover my ears, which, as I will freely admit, was a bit of a mistake - her guns were bloody loud, louder even then the guns of the Lutetiian battlecruisers. And those things had bang.
Either way, my ERTs were coming over to Whona, began to coordinate themselves with her own damage control teams and watched out, as instructed. I smiled at her, a comforting smile - everything would be alright, I wanted to assure her with that, she would come out of this to fight another day.
Maybe not tomorrow, but the day after that.
And she would show those blasted Abyssals, that it was a mistake to offend Whona of the Sterkistani Navy.
"Let's leave beaching as a last resort... but right on their doorstep is a good idea!", I admitted with my smile still in place.

As they waited, they sang a sea shanty*, though the shanty they sang was one translated into their native Kermanic, rather than its original language. Both Abyssals had their radars going, eagerly scanning the sky, and both had enough sense to sing off their radios.

Mary Read Kerman, by virtue of being the fastest of the group, alternated between leading and trailing the others of the main battlegroup as she used her sonar to hunt for subs, singing a different shanty* as she went.

Well behind the rest of the group, Kerriott ran as fast as she could across the water, panting like a dog on a hot July day in Phoenix, and worried sick about *her* destroyer. The other ships were big enough to look after themselves, but what would Mary Read Kerman, poor little Mary Read Kerman, do in the big, scary sea without her Kerriott to tend to her? What if she ran into that monster she'd heard about while looking for subs? What if she was alone and afraid and crying without her Kerriott to fix her and comfort her? What if she ran out of snacks? Those were the thoughts that spurred the destroyer-tender to wear herself out in a vain attempt to keep up, despite having lost sight of the others long since.

As the main battlegroup arrived at their intended coordinates, Hornissennest-hime radioed Bob-ouji, "This is Hornissennest. I'm in position, planning a few strikes. Anything other than that tub of lard with the giant guns you want to stop floating, over?". As she spoke, Hornissennest-hime thought over her plan of attack a little more. First priority in breaking the back of the enemy's attack would be to sink the siege battleship, hopefully in time to save Lamia and Comet, if no one else. To this end, 10 Fliegendewaffels took off, joined by 20 Maschinenteufels, the former with bombs and the latter with torpedoes, and set off immediately, with the hope that the Fliegendewaffels' jamming equipment would let them get close enough to get at least half of the torpedoes and a few bombs off. Hornissennest-hime was under no delusions: The losses of that strike group would be heavy, and that they'd get their armaments off was a gamble at best. Second step would be to crush their landing force, with another 10/20 group of fighters sent to see to that. The remaining 20 Fliegendewaffels waited, armed, to be assigned targets as the final 10 Maschinenteufels were sent to maintain a CAP over Baka-Prince's battlegroup.

I was worried. One of the vessels of the convoy I had escorted was gone, missing somewhere along the way. I, as natural for someone being missing, had no idea, where she was.
And I'll freely admit, I liked Hazel. Tall, enchantingly beautiful... she caught my eyes from the moment I met her. It was only when I got to know her a bit, that I began to like her more as one would like a comrade: To her enchanting beauty, she had an enchanting wit, a poetic sense rarely found in the world. I found myself blushing every time our eyes met... the only reason I was not out there looking for her was, that I would be alone and without support and that might not be of as much help to her as it seemed at first. Such situations required calm and steady operations, not gallivanting off, as much as I would have liked to.
I'm sounding a bit like a love-sick puppy, which might be the case, if I wouldn't be a worrying puppy, too. She was lost, somewhere in hostile waters... I would never forgive myself, if something had happened to her.
Oh, where're my manners? I forgot to introduce myself, Ladies... Blue hair, Gensai in Laois' Colours, red bandana, adventurer, testbed vessel, light cruiser - SDFS Lodan Lir, at your services.
(Please imagine me bowing at my introduction with a flourish.)

Heba. Basic He-class Abyssal Light Cruiser.
Other Abyssals didn't like her because she was... different.
For one, she loved her Reconnaissance Seaplanes, so much so, that she had applied several times to be remodelled as a seaplane tender, every time to be denied. At least here, she had the advantage of an understanding superior, who used her as she loved it: As a reconnaissance asset, together with her seaplanes.
The Inland Supply Depot Princess, had, just like her peers, mobilized all of their vessels for the battle and it had fallen onto Heba to patrol and keep surveillance up for the Sectors DN-15 and CN-15. Alone.
Becuase no one liked her.
The other reason, why no one liked her amongst her fellow Abyssals, was, that... her dry dock gates didn't swing the way the other's dry dock gates swung. In other words, she was a lesbian. The terms her fellow Abyssals used for people like her weren't exactly nice or for the ears of minors, so we will leave them unrepeated.
That was the reason why no one wanted to operate with her, out of fear, that her abnormality would be a contagious desease.
However, her musings were interrupted by a report from one of her reconnaissance planes: They had found something, a kanmusu, by the looks of it, and... Heba found herself very much floored at the beauty seen from far, far away.
Then, the world shook.

Chill.
The volume of fire coming towards her made the Airfield Princess Chill not shudder, not feel unease, not feel anger or hate.
Quite on the contrary, she felt strangely at peace, all of a sudden.
Was this what certain death felt like?, she wondered without an answer.
Then, her world was reduced to fire and sound for but a moment, then... nothing.
And the Airfield Princess Chill was no more, a shell having penetrated her ammunition bunkers, another having hit vital installations, another yet again landed right in the cluster of planes ready for take off, fully armed. The resulting bang was impressive.
It shook the earth, more then even Caty could ever hope to accomplish, it shook the sea, the tremor felt even by the Harbour Water Demon, who lowered her head in mourning. It shook the very foundations of the sky.
All around the battlefield, assets belonging to the Princess howled in pain, her last remaining aircraft and the coastal defenses, before falling silent, crashing into the sea, crumbling to dust.
None of the ships in the area were affected, but Yoanie and her fellow submarine felt... as if a million souls cried out as one and then fell silent again, while they were hunted by Kaifu. A gasp escaped both of them, the other submarine reaching for where her heart would be, stopping. Yoanie just kept swimming.
An eery, quiet calm fell over the Shipwreck Islands as, for but a moment, the world seemed to stop.
Silence, blessed silence descended upon the little forward islands and the seas around it.
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.

Josura, Convoy Rear Guard
Josura was pretty deep now. He could dive lower than any other sub in the Suojian navy, but his massive sonar return was a fair trade off. One of the ships in the rear guard had gone missing. Not that he really cared. She was an idiot for wandering off. Should’ve stayed with the group. It would’ve been at least a 75% greater chance of survival. Oh well, she seemed pretty boring anyway.

Josura sighed. His A90 mini subs were low on fuel now and he was desperate to get to a base. Jokosuka was there, right? He rarely talked to the cruiser in Suoji but he preferred him to any foreign kanmasu. The other ships (that hadn’t gone missing) were probably way ahead of him - he got distracted by the marine life. Josura found it pretty easy to get distracted, even during conversations. He wasn’t far away now, but even at full speed he was slow. Still, he didn’t want to surface. God forbid he would have talk to anyone today. Besides, being sunk by abyssals wasn’t on his plans today either.

Jokosuka
Jokosuka was nearing the frontlines now. The sound of cannons and explosions was getting more and more louder as he made his way there. He saw Catherine, who was now aided by a couple of other ships, who were, of course, nowhere near as large and heavy as her. He readied the 60mm anti-air guns, which had fallen silent for too long now, and prepared to go back into combat.

Catherine felt a huge load of stress come off her back as she saw that explosion. All of her guns fell silent, and she herself would pull up alongside the flagship- Coriolanus. She looked down at her, smiling as if nothing was wrong. Catherine's damage control and repair parties immediately went to full alert, doing their best to correct any mid-battle damages she sustained.

"S-So... What are orders now, my kommandier?"

That was basically all she had to say. Catherine would be fine 'no matter what happened to her', but she couldn't say the same about the others. Catherine's list was immediately starting to be corrected, albeit slowly. "Do we go out and kill more abyssal scum, or do we RTB?" She had gotten so far caught up in the battle that she had forgotten what the objective was again.

Meanwhile, ASW-Group 3, the dedicated ASW-force he had at his disposal, had dispersed, their sonars pinging for enemy submarines in regular intervals. So far, they didn't find anything, but the Baka-Prince was quite sure, that it wouldn't stay that way for too long.
[Armoured Cruiser Princess.], he called into his radio, asking for the eldest of the group, [How are you keeping up?]
[shnip]

Battlegroup Hornissennest

[We're fine, Bob. Seems some of my escort is a little overeager. Regardless, divert order is acknowledged. Those carriers will sink if I have to ram them myself, over.], Hornissennest-hime replied, ordering her remaining Fliegendewaffels to take off as she did. She would berate herself for allowing her frustration to supplant her reason another time. For now, there were some Kanmusu carriers that needed to be stored in Davy Kerman's locker, and she wasn't returning to port under her own power until they were.

[Ja, meine Dame.], came the simple, to the point response from Mary Read Kerman as she stopped her singing and focused on subhunting. While it was true that she was only one ship, Mary Read Kerman was not about to let any subs slip by her. Like she'd done until her makers neglected her, May Read Kerman would sink any sub that tried to get close. After all, what good was a Pirat that couldn't find sunken treasure? By contrast, the two light cruisers quieted their singing, but only enough that their princess, and, by extension, anyone on the other end of her radio, wouldn't hear (they hoped).

Turmfalke was panting heavily when she finally caught up.

[Funk. STILLE.5], came Hornissennest's terse, hissed reply. There was a time for such chiding and complaining, and now, in the middle of combat, was most definitely *not* it. Chill's death did nothing to better the carrier Princess's mood, and Hornissennest decided that her assault wasn't going to end with the enemy's carriers. [Bob. If your group were to engage, how long do you think you can hold Beauty Queen on station? I have an idea.], she asked, her tone suggesting her idea was nothing less than utterly spiteful.

Speer Ein/Null:

The fighters that were intended for the giant battleship fortress immediately altered their course, practically hugging the surface of the water as they went, for an intercept point to the south of the enemy carrier group. Halfway to said intercept point, half of the Maschinenteufels broke off, throttling up to ideally reach a third intercept point before the others, their mission to drop their torpedoes, prioritizing any carriers that still had usable fighters, then dance around for the enemy, hopefully straining resources that couldn't have been very plentiful by this point.

Speer Null
As the decoy group closed to within 20 km of the enemy, the formation split, the fighters picking out targets and lining up for torpedo runs.

Speer Ein:
As the remaining fighters closed to within 30km, the Fleigendewaffels turned on their jammers, remaining below the radar horizon as they waited to close further. At 20 km, the formation loosened, spreading out in anticipation of incoming anti-air fire and began picking out targets.

Speer Zwei:

As the fighters diverted from their original target, they, too hugged the surface of the water, though, as they made for an intercept point west of the enemy carriers, though there was no split at the halfway point. As the fighters closed to within 30km, the Fleigendewaffels turned on their jammers, remaining below the radar horizon as they waited to close further. At 20 km, the formation loosened, spreading out in anticipation of incoming anti-air fire and began picking out targets.

Speer Drei:

As soon as the Fleigendewaffels were airborne, they began flying, beneath the radar horizon, like all the other spears, for an intercept point northwest of the enemy carriers. As the fighters closed to within 30km, they turned on their jammers, remaining below the radar horizon as they waited to close further. At 20 km, the formation loosened, spreading out in anticipation of incoming anti-air fire and began picking out targets.

Translations:

1: All fighter attack groups, divert to enemy carrier group, and avoid the sea cow. If it floats, sink it. If it flies and isn't ours, shoot it down. Do not return until the enemy is crushed except for rearmament and refueling.

2: Mary Read Kerman, look for submarines, and stop that fucking singing. Same with you, Adelheid and Erika. We're here to aid in beating these scrap heaps down for their temerity, not to hold a damn concert. You two watch for enemy aircraft and keep quiet.

3: All due respect, but you do realise you make my job damn near impossible when you go storming off like that, right? Not to mention the whining fit Kerriott's going to pitch when she finally gets here.

4: I know we're late to the party, but leaving me behind is still going to leave you without much in the way of anti-ship cover.

5: Radio. SILENCE.

LNS Coriolanus

At Sea, Sector DN-17|Operational Sector Wide Sea- Southwest|1000 hours

Coriolanus sighed for a second. The objective had been completed, but.. at what cost? Half the fleet was wrecked, and there were still landing forces on the ground. She felt ashamed she hadn't taken any hits yet, but.. perhaps that was yet to change. She wrapped her arm around Sergei, holding him up.

"..Flag to landing forces and escorting warships. Begin to withdraw immediately, but scatter mines on the beachhead and mark where you put them. I want that area secure until we can come back for it, we cannot remain here."

Turning to Catherine, she gave a brief nod, continuing her transmissions. "Any carriers still flight capable, keep your fighters up in a screen about yourself and get back to base. Capital ships that are damaged, stay with them. Escort ships and are still covering the flanks. Begin to fallback immediately. Battlegroup Caty, form up alongside myself, we're the rear guard. Out."

She sighed. A retreat was not what she wanted, but what she had to do. Drawing her main guns about her portside, she aimed off at where she knew the battlegroup was. "I'll keep my antiair on alert. Sergei, go form up that way. You're too damaged to be on the front."

Prophet

Deciding not to focus down the remaining attackers, Prophet paused as the abyssals belonging to the Princess fell, and watched as the princess herself became no more. He was silent, taking in what just happened, before a small whisper escaped his lips.

"The Airfield Princess is dead..." He whispered, a wide grin slowly forming on his face until it took up most of his face. Prophet repeated what he said, shouting this time, his crew letting out a triumphant shout, until watchmen spotted abyssal planes headed for the carriers, prompting his crewmen to sound the air raid alarms. Prophet's grin disappeared, knowing that he couldn't take on three fronts of aircraft alone, especially in the state he was in, with his flight deck rendered inoperable. Acting quickly, he began the process which made the fog from combat practice the day before, replacing the water in his boilers with liquid nitrogen, which quickly evaporated and ejected itself from his smokestacks before cooling again into a fog, expanding due to the heat as it spread out, quickly enveloping Prophet and anything else near him, as the fog advanced toward his allies, creating the cover necessary to keep the fighters from being accurate.

"Prophet to Flag, I have multiple attacks incoming, my fog won't last forever, and most of us here are on AA reserves." He transmitted, turning and retreating at half pace to keep everyone in the fog.

Salvation

Salvation listened to Stilly speak, he was relieved to know that she didn't receive any severe internal injuries, while also imagining what Amy looked like based on her description.

"Well, proper introductions will have to wait until we get back, but I would very much like to meet her." Salvation replied, smiling slightly, before looking over in Prophet's direction as he covered himself in fog.

"Oh, that isn't good, the carriers might be getting overwhelmed. But I cant get over there because those damn torps busted my turbines." He added, replacing his smile with a scowl.

Locust

I eventually reached the battle, my sonar confirming that with multiple sonar returns, both allied and hostile. I noted some larger returns, obviously battleships and carriers, on the abyssal's side of the fight. Diving down as far as the seafloor let me, I began operating on silent running as I approached the capital ships, poised to kill them off one by one. In response, my combat module engaged, changing my personality to a much more serious one, as the top entrance of my vehicle bay opened, revealing the Type-A minisubs in my care, ready to sink anything they could. Of course, I was too deep to get any radio signals, so I didn't hear the flagship's order to withdraw.

WHU-BOOM!

The thunderous explosion on the surface was audible even below the waves, where Nevlamas was sneakily making her way back to the allied fleet after planting a salvo of torpedoes into that Airfield Princess (Lamia). Not that that did any good...maybe it caused some flooding, but the Sleetavian was sure that she hadn't killed her, only pissed her and all surrounding Abyssals off. That was the very reason she was running at 5 knots just underneath the thermal layer: She was, you know, trying to sneak away from the ASW ships that were probably hounding for her head on a pike.

As she breached the thermal layer when she thought it was safe to do so, torpedo tubes reloaded, her sonar picked up her comrades withdrawing. When the Sleetavian raised her periscope to investigate as to just why they were running, her eyes saw the reason for doing so:

Their task force, seemingly invincible at port, was for lack of better words, fucking hammered. Her 'scope could see their carriers battered, multiple capital ships and their escorts leaking oil and other debris, and the wreckage on the surface was seemingly everywhere. She spied various amounts of bodies in the sea too, floating lifelessly, never to walk the Earth again. Nevlamas was no stranger to war; Indeed, the Second World War that pitted her country against Japan had made too many of her countrymen make the ultimate sacrifice. Even now, swarms of Abyssal aircraft were either retreating or making last-ditch attacks on their ships

To make sure that her allies could get away without some underwater threat surprise-buttsecksing them, Nevlamas turned about 45 degrees to her port to clear her baffles, and threw out her passive sonar to detect any Abyssal submarines behind them. As the task force retreated more and more, the Sleetavian continually cleared her baffles, keeping pace with them and making sure that her comrades weren't blind from behind as most ships with sonar would be. If she detected anything, she would immediately turn to engage and cover her retreating friends....and give her life if she had to.

Sea Battle

"There goes that Abyssal! Maybe we're winning this after all!" Said Chrysantheme, remarking on Chill's demise while launching torpedoes at an Abyssal cruiser or two. "Ja. That will help demoralize the Palefreaks." Said Shiroiyuki, who have said a racist and derogatory term for Abyssals. "Isn't that racist, Shiro?" Shinosaki asked, hearing that term. "Yes, why?" Shiroiyuki asked. "You said something racist, which contradicts our narion's anti-duscrimination stance. Maybe being racist should work." Shinosaki replied. "Oi, do not call them Palefreaks. That was racist." Novaya said. "Our culture doesn't have any racism." He added just as a transmission from the Naval Basr reaches him.

"Stand by. Got a transmission from base." Said Novaya as he listens to what a fairy has to say. "What?! Roger that!" He replied to the fairy before reporting to Coriolanus via radio, "Rear Admiral! The Naval Base just got raided! I say again - Naval Base got raided by a few squadrons or so! You never told us about circumstances of the Naval Base getting raided! Shoulsd we withdraw?!"

Naval Base

"Get those aircraft up and running!" Said the Novayan major general Tohka as pilots rushed towards their aircraft to scramble and take out the Abyssal aircraft. The Novayan fairies continued firing at the Abyssal aircraft. Several Novayan fairies were firing at the Abyssal aircraft with their infantry weapons and machine guns that were placed on some ground vehicles. It's a major clusterfuck of a nightmare, though.

SPN Sergei Malinokov,
Barely hanging on

Sergei nodded but didn't say anything, he didn't have the strength or the energy to really do anything except sail home. All over his rig, his fairies had already begun rudimentary repairs, running around with patches of scrap metals and acetylene torches as the popcorn like crackling began slipping in between the very bad tinnitus that plagued Sergei's hearing. All around him, he could feel the waves begin slapping him in the face, the chilly, salty water stinging his face and seemingly burning his wounds as he sailed to regroup with the fleet. It was at this moment that he did his best to take stock of what he still had. Sergei still couldn't see out of his left eye, and for all he was concerned, either it was gone completely or something was stuck inside it. Remarkably, he still had both his hands, though upon further inspection, Sergei was missing two fingers, his left middle, and left ring finger were completely missing. When he looked down at his legs, he found both were still attached, though part of his rig was stuck in his knee. "Fuck... I wonder if I'd still be able to fight after this..." He muttered as the rest of the fleet came into view.

SPN Fyodor Volkov,
Satisfied with a battle well fought

Fyodor didn't see who delivered the killing blow to the Airfield Princess. He didn't even know if his bobs and rockets even had a target to hit, but it was a victory. He could hear his crew and is pilots singing as they awaited the pilots with hopes that this was but a small step towards drivingthe AAbyssal scourge back under the sea. Then he heard Coriolanus's message and smiled. "Comrades, we're going home." Fyodor said, smiling despite being soaked from head to toe from the sea.

Heba. Sector DN-15.
She had a sailing vessel in front of her, Heba realized. One, that sought a place to make landfall.
For whichever reason, she sought the protection of a mass of land. Damages? General confusion? Sea sickness?
Heba didn't know. She did know, though, that the sailing vessel was a kanmusu and a gorgeous one at that. She felt her heart beat faster in her chest every time she watched the feed of her reconnaissance plane.
This was more then just the mere will to do things and stuff with her, she was... liking to get to know her. Closer and ever closer...
She knew, that she sounded a bit creepy.
Still, her planes knew of her tendencies and they only meant the best for her as the recon plane dropped down and passed the beautiful kanmusu at low speed and altitude, wiggling its wings to signify, that she should follow it, to her master.

Miuil. Formerly Base Brig.
"I would say so.", I replied to the remark, standing at the pile of rubble a with a bit of a weird position. Just as the girl had punched her way out, I had been about to help her out. A moment passed, then I reached out to help her up. "Miuil, SDF-Navy. Welcome to Operational Sector Wide Sea South West. Don't worry, though, you're not under SDF-care, this is an international base. By any chance, is there an Abyssal with you down there?"
My AA-gun crews, although seeing, that the girl was a bit out of my weight-class, still looked at her with a bit of suspiciousness, after all, there had been an Abyssal with her down there.
"Don't worry about them.", I told the stranger and motioned to my fairies.

5: Radio. SILENCE.

Searc. With the carriers.
So far, no one jumped on my help-offer, which was not exactly fine with me. I was responsible for this, I wanted to help to fix this.
I... I... felt more then down. Depressed would be the wrong word, as I did not feel empty inside, but enraged. At myself, my own faults, the enemy for attacking them and... it was an ugly, ugly, black smoke belching fire, what roared inside of me.
And it wanted to consume.
Then, the orders to withdraw came, and with it the order for the escorts to move to the flanks. I nodded... I could do that. As much as I could do that when Prophet reported an incoming airstrike.
That would not fly on my watch! Not this time!
The smoke would help organize a counter, give us a few more moments.
"Searc, Carrier Group, please withdraw and provide CAP. That includes you, Prophet.", I spoke into my radio. "Searc, Chrysantheme, how about the two pretty lassies we are give those little buggers a little surprise to ruin their day?!"
With the last words, I let loose a salvo of VT-shells, my longbow swishing as the arrow was released. As much as they remained under the radar horizon, an unfair tactic (which we would exploit, too), the more vulnerable they were as they did not have space to dodge. I admit, that I fired in their general direction, the combination of being below the horizon and Prophet's smoke making it difficult for me to see and for my gunners to aim, but that would not detract us.
We were firing at them, both in the hopes of hitting them and in the hopes of drawing their fire.
I presented my boardside to them.

Base.
Orders to cease fire were given by the Base Air Defense Command, as, by the time Novayan AA-fire began in earnest, the enemy had long since left, their bombs dropped.
As fairies of all walks of service ran around, drove fire-engines to where they were needed and even had already begun filling in the craters left on the runway, the Novayans would be appreciated seeking places to air more effectively.
But all the same, getting up aircraft to be warned of a further attack and, as the order to withdraw was received by the base as well, to provide air cover for returning ships as well was important, too. The runway was built with conventional, large aircraft in mind, not with fairy piloted planes, so even with a few craters in it, a skilled pilot could take off and land. And, failing that, there were still enough stretches of straight road.
But the Abyssals themselves were long gone and the hands were needed elsewhere. The base was burning, after all.

Battlegroup Baka-Prince. Sector DN-15.
[Is that so...], the Prince mumbled into his radio, smiling at his Secretary and Adjutant, Taalke, an Elite Ta-class Battleship. She was pretty, her pale complexion and white hair flowing in the wind, but that was not why he had her as his Secretary. She was a hard-working individual, first and foremost.
And she had good instincts.
[Iantha, Ia, Iatiana.], she barked at the three Late-Model I-class Destroyers with the Flag-Group and had them perk up, [Begin an ASW-sweep around us. Wolftraud, I would appreciate you doing the same.]
The Wo-class Carrier nodded, her three Late-Model Elite I-classes, Ira, Iraia and Ireen, beginning the tedious work as well. The two leading vessels of Carrier Group 2, Wolftraud and her light carrier companion, soon began to launch aircraft as well, bolstering the CAP above them... and adding a few bombers to the mix. Depending on how the attack on the carrier group would go, they would take their targets either there or with the battleships.
A moment later, the dulcet sounds of sonar pings went out into the water... and returned something. Be it whale or submarine, a moment later, the first depth charges were projected into the general direction of the enemy.
But Baka-Prince was not done yet. [Hornissennest.], he spoke into his radio with a small smile. He liked it, when people got creative. [What is that idea you have and how can we help you?]

Rhiannon. Landing Forces.
I scowled as I heard Novaya's rambling about racism and other unimportat things.
"Rhiannon, Broadsword.", I told the LST, "Don't worry about them, we have more important work to do. Would you mind, if I were to divert the fairies of 3 Horse to you so that I can begin with mining this place? I mean, you're a dedicated landing ship and a lot of them need medical attention. Plus, I'm good at mining."
I grinned, I liked laying mines, before a radio transmission was received, from my landing forces, who had taken quite a beating along the way.
"Rhiannon, Flag.", I spoke into my own radio hailing Coriolanus, "Just a quick question, what's our policy regarding loot and plunder taken from the Abyssals? 3 Horse reports quite a few interesting finds, amongst them ressources and equipment..."

Stilly. With Salvation.
I felt tears welling up... if I hadn't been hit, he would be free to help the others, more important vessels then a little sloop, not even a full destroyer. He would ensure their survival.
But I had to get my blasted hand blown off.
"I'm sorry...", I whispered, looking away. Would Amy still be the kind and gentle soul to me after this, after I screwed up this much?, a traitorous part of my brain thought. Of course she would!, the rest shouted back. That did not stop me from tears flowing from my eyes.
His scowling didn't really help. I completely forgot, that while my hand was shit, that my power plant still worked.

Sleet Clans wrote:WHU-BOOM!

On the sea floor.
As Nevlamas passed the many corpses on the sea floor, one twitched.
The submarine of Yoanie's little force of submarines, the one sunken, was still alive, hanging onto life by the last thread. It was basically dead, but not quite yet.
It was no danger, all torpedoes spent.
And it knew that.
So, she gave a longing look after Nevlamas, her broken, unmasked face looking towards her as she passed, longing in her eyes... longing for life. She had been unworthy, though. She did not deserve to live. Only to die at this lonely place...

Sea Battle

"Dammit. This is why we NEED to step up our game, Rhiannon." Novaya said, displeased of Coeiolanus's battle plan, which is flawed thanks to the fact that the Naval Base got bombed. "Roger! Novayan landing fairies, it is time to pull return to me. We lost a lot of fairies, so we should try to rescue them as possible." Broadsword spoke to the fairies, as Molihua and Chrysantheme went to rescue any fairies in the water while Shinosaki loads Type 3 shells in case of any Abyssal aircraft that dares to come to Allied airspace. "Will do, but after I finish rescue fairies!" Chrysantheme replied, and, upon rescuing fairies, joins Searc in blasting the Abyssals. "Also, we should leave with the loot and the fairies rescued, bevause I felt that the Palefreaks might strike again." Said Shiroiyuki, who receives a warning from Novaya not to call them Palefreaks. "Sorry." Shiroiyuki replied.

Naval Base

"All fairies are to help clean the mess, but any fairies still manning tje AA guns will keep watch and guard on our airspace. We do not want another raid happening again." Said Tohka as much of the Novayan fairies went to clean up the mess the Abyssal squadrons caused. AA guns are still manned by Novayan fairies that will guard the base's airspace.

Speer Null
Speer Null had been the first group to arrive, the ones originally spotted, and, by the time they were, had made it close enough that, while the quickly rolling fog would certainly hamper the efforts of the strike force as a whole, their group were at least able to get close enough to drop torpedoes before the fog got too thick to see into, though none had gotten rockets off. Each fighter had chosen a different carrier, and the nimble aircraft, despite the low altitude, had had little trouble dodging the nearly-blind fire. It was when they rose up above the radar horizon that they began taking heavy losses. By the time the other spears were on-station, the decoy group had lost half their aircraft. As they danced in the sky, occasionally making halfhearted runs at Searc, they reported the situation to the other fighters.

Spears Ein and Zwei
the Fleigendewaffels of the groups made a command decision: Until the fog lifted, the enemy was out of ammo, or the escort were out of torpedoes, they would circle out of range, the fighters turning back at the edge of 20km and returning to formation at 40, flying as erratically as possible until they were sure they were out of range. At 45 km, they began flying a racetrack pattern, waiting for the all clear from their escort/sacrificial lambs that the enemy had run out of ammunition. As they flew, the fighters kept watch for enemy aircraft or surface threats.

As for the Maschinenteufels, they continued past the 20 km line, dodging fire as best they could now that multiple ships were firing on them, using the incoming fire to guide them to the escort for torpedo and rocket runs, though aiming more accurately than that, and, indeed, seeing rounds soon enough to dodge, got dicey once they were forced to close within the fog. Unlike the decoy group, which, by now, numbered two heavily damaged aircraft, the fresh fighters remained below the radar horizon for the duration, only briefly peeking above it to ward off enemy fighters, and so took fewer losses, but losses still, with only 20 of the 30 lasting long enough to run out of rockets and take over for the now-depleted decoy group in drawing enemy fire.

Speer Drei

As with the first and second spears, the third spear retreated to 45km upon reaching the 20km line and finding the fog too obscuring for bombing, and began flying a racetrack pattern while waiting for the all clear, keeping an eye out for enemy air power and surface threats as they flew.

Battlegroup Hornissennest
[Bob, my fighters are engaged with the enemy carrier group. The enemy seems to have put up a thick fog, so the dive bombers are hanging back until they can see properly for bombing. Maschinenteufels report heavy losses. Seems the enemy is relying heavily on radar and using those vexing VT rounds.], Hornissennest reported, [As to my idea, I thought it'd be a swell idea if, after the enemy carriers are gone, I could find a nice spot near the enemy base but out of their detection range, do a bit of fishing, have a few drinks, just enjoy myself a little. And wouldn't it just be a crying shame if, when they get back from raiding Chill's former post, the enemy had nowhere to put their new bounty? If that sounds like a good plan, I'll need someone to see to it that the big guns don't have a free hand to track me down. Turmfalke and the cheerleaders can handle a few cruisers, but a battleship would be... troublesome. This all assuming the losses from the carrier strike are low enough.], she continued.

That was another thing to curse her creators for. Had her dive bombers been equipped with marine radar, or even sonar, bombing the enemy ships blind would not have been an issue. But no. It would not be until later versions that her fighters would be given that tool. Perhaps an upgrade to look forward to. As she thought things over, Hornissennest began to move, this time careful to maintain a speed Turmfalke could easily keep pace with, for a position that would allow her to more easily support both her CAP over Battlegroup Bob-ouji and her airstrike against the enemy carriers as she waited for a response and for the results of her strike at the enemy carriers.
The Cross and Davids Star wrote:Locust

Mary Read Kerman

Off to the northwest of Battlegroup Hornissennest-hime, Mary Read Kerman quietly, dutifully kept watch for enemy subs, her sonar pinging to the tune of the sea shanty she'd been singing earlier as she searched, grinning when her little ditty got a return. A *big* return. Deep as it was, it almost seemed like it could have been a whale, but Mary Read Kerman had a duty. "You look thirsty, giant. Have some drinks!", she quipped as her Verkaufsautomat launched depth charges, the destroyer reloading as she brought herself about to follow the sonar contact until it disappeared or stopped moving. "Ye shan't be slippin' by me, ye scurvy dog!", she barked as she dropped more depth charges, reloading and repeating as she followed. She knew they probably could hear her talking, but that was fine.

Same as Selks. Up to you if she's chasing your sub or a whale.

Prophet

While it didn't exactly help the ships fire at the planes, the fog Prophet was providing prevented any aim for the abyssals as well, and he resolved it to be a fair, if not slightly advantageous trade. Listening to Searc, Prophet picked up speed as he retreated.

"Already on it Searc. All other carriers, stay as far into the fog as possible, we can't have anyone being bombed on the outskir-" He tried to say, but before he could finish, he was slammed on both sides by the torpedoes Speer Null let off. Thankfully, the full foot of armor on his belt prevented any major damage, it did shake his confidence, knowing that a lucky shot to his boilers will bring down his cover, leaving him and the other carriers at the mercy of the bombers circling overhead.

Salvation

Salvation looked back to Stilly, his expression softening immediately as he could see her cry. Crouching next to her, Salvation figured that some comforting was in order.

"Sorry for what? You saved my life, if it weren't for your depth charges, both of us would be quite literally dead in the water." He said before explaining how he used her depth charges to prevent a submarine ambush.

Locust

Unfortunately for me, I had engaged silent running too late, as indicated by the depth charges falling above me. In response, I launched my hands into the seafloor, pulling myself onto it and laying myself flat. The explosions from the charges did knock me around a little, but fortunately, I wasn't close enough to any of them. I had to get them off me before they start striking again, and I thought up a good plan. I released a large amount of crimson signal dye into the water, which floated up to the surface, making it appear that they either actually struck and killed me, or that they got a whale. Hopefully they'd take it, but if not, then I'd have to be prepared to go on the offensive.

Empress Catherine
Beside Coriolanus, Open Ocean

Catherine would swing herself to the flagship's portside- allowing her guns to be as far away from her allies as possible. It wouldn't help much at this kind of range, but in terms of noise, an atomic bomb might as well be going off when she fires off her guns. Too much gunpowder is involved there. However, Cath would be on standby, all her 37s, all her 152s, all her 305s, and all her 914s. The arsenal battleship was on combat alert, ready for any attack incoming.

This silence that fell over the ocean- apart from Catherine's offensively massive steam turbines and waterjets- allowed her to stand back and look at the situation. She didn't do her job of being a complete meatshield too well. Of course, she helped the destruction and crippling of multiple capital ships. She can take pride of that- and she evaporated that little cyka that hurt comrade little one. Stilly seemed in a condition that wouldn't result in death, so that was good by her. She sighed, her eyes beginning to reverse the insane shrunken pupils she had. The dose of destruction was of well supplemented for her. And she was happy with that. She did her part, and didn't take too much damage in the process.

Whona kept her mischievous grin, giving a weak fist into the air with the hopefully-painful death of the Airfield Princess.
"Hell... Yeah." She wheezed, bridging on unconsciousness as water flooded her lower boilers and fuel leaked from their tanks.

Dia turned over, slightly rattled by the extra shake through her structure, coming up on Whona's other side, holding her up.
"We need to go, we've completed the objectives haven't we?"
She started to turn Whona around, setting a course for the base.
"I hope nothing else comes up, or we're going to be in real trouble."
She began sailing toward base, keeping speed for the crippled warship and the tender, but she looked over, and saw a Heavy Cruiser limping along, slowly approaching.
"I'm sorry, but could you take her? There might be others who need my help."
She slowly released Whona, who slunk into the arms of Amy. And Dia sped over to Sergei, wordlessly wrapping his arm over her and taking them weight off him.
"It's going to be alright Sergei, you're going to be fine."

She slowly piloted them parallel with Whona and Amy, her fairies tossing a multitude of cables from her deck to the Whona, where they were pulled taut once Dia had shifted in front. Poor Amy couldn't carry Whona all the way home alone. She needed a little help at least.

Her boilers strained under the pressure, pulling for 2 and a half ships, seeing as Sergei was still chugging.
