I am not expecting any significant fleet assets beyond the Hellboat, as I'm figuring this is an easy first step before we get into hell trying to cross the Wide Sea later on. No lack for challenge, though.

One thing - when should the convoy with the new vessels be coming in? Would it be worth just writing them as having arrived in the early morning?

Posted assuming Re's complying. I'll be attempting to clear the Novaya situation up before moving back to Re. After that ties up, we'll be able to move onto offensive operations the next day.

In response to missions, I plan to begin rather major outward offensives so side missions aren't my priority. If anyone has ideas, feel free to submit them, though.

Alright, sounds like a plan - if you need anything from me, feel free to ask.

As for side mission, there is a supply convoy coming in on Day 3. Not sure, if that would count as a side mission, but... well.

Also, which might be of interest to everyone: The increase of the character limit to 6 characters, which I mentioned here, did so far not find any objection, but to add to that, I would like to add a few small things to that.

Amendment 2017-12-08: The Character Limit is lifted to six (6) characters. Of these six, at least two (2) must be escort vessels and one (1) a support vessel, all of any kind. All other rules concerning characters (including the ban on capital ships (capital ships being defined as Heavy Cruisers, Battlecruisers, Battleships, Aircraft Carriers (of any kind) or variations whereof) in the near future) are still in place.

Any objections?

Does that make the character limit lifted to seven? I'm confused, so correct me, please.

EDIT: Expect a replenishment/transport hybrid ship and a former-Novayan-turned-Formosan/Chinese destroyer who also happens to be a first-class LADY/LEHDI who's also friends with Novaya.

Special abilities: Replenishment - Broadsword has the ability to replenish her allies at any given battle, but the downside's that it's one time per sortie, so it's only used when fuel and ammo are below half full.
Technical Description of the vessel: This ship was a result of the Novayans wanting ships that can transport troops and supplies at the same time. Their construction involves installing hooks for easier supply movement and folding beds, allowing her to carry a lot of supplies or a contingent of troops, but can only transport half supplies and half a troop contingent at the same time. This hybrid ship can also perform landing ops.

Character: Sampaguita, or Molihua, is a Novayan-Chinese/Formosan warship who has the characteristics or a first-class LADY. Despite her being a first class lady, she's also skilled in combat, especially doing her naginata training (a naginata is the weapon of a first class LADY). She's friends with Novaya and his friends, of whom are flagship and part of the Novayan 3rd Fleet, a part of the Novayan Atelansia-Pacific Fleet, aka Novayan Asia-Pacific Fleet, of whom she was also part of during the Asia-Pacific Theatre of the Second Great World War.
Special abilities: Novayan Efficient Management - Molihua's fairies can repair her efficiently, cutting down repair time from thirty minutes to just fifteen minutes. Of course, her fairies liked this LADY/LEHDI.
Technical Description of the vessel: Sampaguita receives modifications provided to the Formosans provided by the Novayan government in 1921 in order for her to be combat capable. Built for the Republic of China, her class name was actually "Sampaguita-F", or Molihua, to distinguish her and her class, a subclass, from the actual Sampaguita-class destroyers the Morales Shipyards built for the Sovereignese Maritime Self-Defense Force. Modernization of the Molihua-class destroyers - involving installing new versions of the Molihua-class destroyers' equipment - was completed by 1927.

They essentially embody the souls of old warships, and can have their rigging, or equipment, strapped onto them through a really flashy anime scene that does not comply with the more we're leaving now style of the game.

During the Great Regional War, in which the Tetrarchy of Empires fought against the Alliance of Free States, Wargloria found itself at a standstill. Although Wargloria had arguably the most deadly and elite fighting force on land, it was very much outmatched when it came to the sea. As Warglorian Battleships, though very well built and equipped, proved too expensive to mass produce, so would be often outnumbered, Wargloria decided to turn to submarines as an alternative solution. The Type X Class U-Boat was a new production design: with higher grade technology (such as state of the art radar) and heavily armed enough to go against larger warships, it was to be the new future U-Boat replacement.

One such U-Boat was U-115, commanded by Erwin Von Stauffenberg, descended of famed war hero Heinrich Von Stauffenberg, claimed its name as one of the most successful U-Boats in the entire fleet, gaining the nickname Seeteuful. Throughout the war, the U-Boat would sink a total of 361,000 Tons worth of ships or around 60 ships, including one aircraft carrier and two battleships. The war would last until 1949, in which the Tetrarchy and Alliance would make peace. The peace treaty would be signed on December 25th, 1949. Only one day before, on December 24th, 1949, U-115 would be sunk when it experienced an engine malfunction, causing it to crash right into the ocean floor, no survivors. In the end, it wasn't enemy fire that destroyed it, it was nature.

Created during the dawn of 1940, Kaguya was designed specifically as a repair ship, equipped with the latest in ship repairing equipment that could be mounted on a ship along with some light weaponry in case it was needed. When she was drafted, she was the first of her kind with new cutting age technology and speedy repair crew that were unrivaled in their abilities. She had large amounts of horsepower that could compete with larger ships, but most were used in her machines, resulting in slow cannon turning speed and low overall speed.

(Character): At a height of 183cm (6ft) and retaining slightly pale complexion, short blonde hair, and blue eyes, Blake can be easily mistaken for a stereotypical German 'Aryan' boy; however, his English facial features otherwise differentiate him from the usual German shipboy/shipgirl. Unlike his fellow Kraician cruiser shipboys/shipgirls, Blake is a quiet and cold yet respectable and sympathetic individual - a stark contrast to his predecessors whom were often talkative/charismatic and/or rude. Blake is someone who doesn't speak that many words, even to the point of making newcomers think that he's a mute; however, whenever he does speak, Blake is poetic or direct - his speech is either cleverly cryptic or simple.
(Special abilities): Blakesheel is an advanced light cruiser of his type that wields extraordinary radar-guidance system and analogue computers to assist in precision/accurate salvos. Subsequently, Blakesheel and his brothers are infamous for their pinpoint accuracy. What the Brodenshire-Class Cruiser lacks in punch, they make up for amazing accuracy and target acquisition.

Designed and built as a new kind of cruiser for the Kraician Navy, Blakesheel was introduced into the Kraician Navy along with his fellow brothers as the most technologically advanced cruisers ever built at the time. Instead of wielding bigger guns, Blake and his brothers were instead built with accuracy and fire rate in mind - specifically taking a lesson from US-designed ships. Equipped with radar-guided guns and a pair of analogue computer-assisted rangefinders and directors, Blakesheel and his brothers essentially became the 'sharpshooters' of the naval world at the time; however, following the introduction of digital computers in the late 20th century, the technological marvels wielded by Blakesheel and the other Brodenshire-Class cruisers were rendered obsolete. Fortunately, following the advent of the Korean War, Blakesheel and Brodenshire saw action in coastal bombardments and anti-submarine duties, which made the Kraician Navy reconsider the Brodenshire-Class Cruiser's decommissioning date (originally 1952 to 1954 for all Brodenshire-Class Cruisers). Character: Spartan very much lives up to her name. Or, at least, she tries to. She tries to live on the absolute minimum, and devotes herself to the ideal of never surrendering and fighting to the death. Inexperienced, but confident in her abilities, she is practically dying to fight in a real battle. This is partly to compensate for her percieved lack of a true national identity, being the result of the Bermudians modifying a British design with American guns and IJN torpedo tubes.
Special abilities:[/b] While she may lack the sheer volume of fire of certain other light cruisers, she does mount powerful 6-inch dual-purpose guns that can fire up to 12 rounds per minute.
Technical Description of the vessel: The Spartan-class is an oddity in Bermudian naval history, a multinational effort without multinational cooperation. In the wake of the Second World War, Bermuda's navy had been bolstered with all sorts of ships, overwhelmingly cast-offs from the Allied navies or captured Axis ships. This made Bermudian naval logistics something of a nightmare, as ships such as the Portland-class and the Hipper-class did not use remotely the same parts or guns. It did, however, inadvertently give Bermudian naval engineers a large surplus of foreign designs. While the Spartan-class's only direct gain from this was her 24-inch torpedo tubes from ships from the Pacific, indirectly it is the very essence of the Spartan's design. Her class was intended to standardize the mess that was Bermuda's cruisers into a powerful but easy-on-logistics cruiser design. To this end, the British Neptune-class design, canceled at the end of WW2, was taken and modified. She was to be armed with the 6"/47 caliber guns from the latest American light cruisers, as well as the upgraded 5"/54 caliber Mark 16 intended to be used as secondaries on the canceled Montana-class super battleship. She was equipped with the latest fire control systems and RADAR, and even came with sonar despite her lack of ASW weapons. 2 ships of the type were ordered: Spartan and Amazon.

Spartan was commissioned in 1948, Amazon in 1949. Her first battle came when the Bermudian Revolution suddenly broke out. The crews of the light cruisers mutinied and joined the revolutionaries. Spartan served as then-Rear Admiral Lyle Eden's (later promoted to Grand Admiral before becoming Supreme Leader) flagship during the Revolution. The Spartan-classes were instrumental in crippling the British task force sent to reinforce the colonial loyalists on the small island, and thus proved vital in securing the new Republic of Bermuda's independence. She would later serve as Admiral Eden's flagship during the Civil War and later the Invasion of Hispaniola. She was decommissioned in 1979 and became a museum ship in Port Au Prince.

It also fits in pretty well with Hydrus' role as a long-range communications ship; she and the supply ship stick together for defense, Hydrus uses her comms to coordinate the 3 DDs in raiding/spotting, the CL acting as a response force as needed otherwise escorting Hydrus/the supply ship.

In the meantime, Novaya, the character limit is six (6). And your lassies have a weird obsession with that carrier of yours... I take your apps are WiP?

One thing - when should the convoy with the new vessels be coming in? Would it be worth just writing them as having arrived in the early morning?

We could make it so, that they arrive around 8, also giving Jokosuka a good excuse of why he sprinted ahead as a vanguard, while the attack force departs at 8:30 - does that sound like a plan?
And here I was, wanting to recreate the convoy battles of the North Atlantic... well, let's save that for another time!

(Character): At a height of 183cm (6ft) and retaining slightly pale complexion, short blonde hair, and blue eyes, Blake can be easily mistaken for a stereotypical German 'Aryan' boy; however, his English facial features otherwise differentiate him from the usual German shipboy/shipgirl. Unlike his fellow Kraician cruiser shipboys/shipgirls, Blake is a quiet and cold yet respectable and sympathetic individual - a stark contrast to his predecessors whom were often talkative/charismatic and/or rude. Designed and built as a new kind of cruiser for the Kraician Navy, Blakesheel was introduced into the Kraician Navy along with his fellow brothers as the most technologically advanced cruisers ever built at the time. Instead of wielding bigger guns, Blake and his brothers were instead built with accuracy and fire rate in mind - specifically taking a lesson from US-designed ships. Equipped with radar-guided guns and a pair of analogue computer-assisted rangefinders and directors, Blakesheel and his brothers essentially became the 'sharpshooters' of the naval world at the time; however, following the introduction of digital computers in the late 20th century, the technological marvels wielded by Blakesheel and the other Brodenshire-Class cruisers were rendered obsolete. Fortunately, following the advent of the Korean War, Blakesheel and Brodenshire saw action in coastal bombardments and anti-submarine duties, which made the Kraician Navy reconsider the Brodenshire-Class Cruiser's decommissioning date (originally 1952 to 1954 for all Brodenshire-Class Cruisers). Character: Spartan very much lives up to her name. Or, at least, she tries to. She tries to live on the absolute minimum, and devotes herself to the ideal of never surrendering and fighting to the death. Inexperienced, but confident in her abilities, she is practically dying to fight in a real battle. This is partly to compensate for her percieved lack of a true national identity, being the result of the Bermudians modifying a British design with American guns and IJN torpedo tubes.
Special abilities:[/b] While she may lack the sheer volume of fire of certain other light cruisers, she does mount powerful 6-inch dual-purpose guns that can fire up to 12 rounds per minute.
Technical Description of the vessel: The Spartan-class is an oddity in Bermudian naval history, a multinational effort without multinational cooperation. In the wake of the Second World War, Bermuda's navy had been bolstered with all sorts of ships, overwhelmingly cast-offs from the Allied navies or captured Axis ships. This made Bermudian naval logistics something of a nightmare, as ships such as the Portland-class and the Hipper-class did not use remotely the same parts or guns. It did, however, inadvertently give Bermudian naval engineers a large surplus of foreign designs. While the Spartan-class's only direct gain from this was her 24-inch torpedo tubes from ships from the Pacific, indirectly it is the very essence of the Spartan's design. Her class was intended to standardize the mess that was Bermuda's cruisers into a powerful but easy-on-logistics cruiser design. To this end, the British Neptune-class design, canceled at the end of WW2, was taken and modified. She was to be armed with the 6"/47 caliber guns from the latest American light cruisers, as well as the upgraded 5"/54 caliber Mark 16 intended to be used as secondaries on the canceled Montana-class super battleship. She was equipped with the latest fire control systems and RADAR, and even came with sonar despite her lack of ASW weapons. 2 ships of the type were ordered: Spartan and Amazon.

Spartan was commissioned in 1948, Amazon in 1949. Her first battle came when the Bermudian Revolution suddenly broke out. The crews of the light cruisers mutinied and joined the revolutionaries. Spartan served as then-Rear Admiral Lyle Eden's (later promoted to Grand Admiral before becoming Supreme Leader) flagship during the Revolution. The Spartan-classes were instrumental in crippling the British task force sent to reinforce the colonial loyalists on the small island, and thus proved vital in securing the new Republic of Bermuda's independence. She would later serve as Admiral Eden's flagship during the Civil War and later the Invasion of Hispaniola. She was decommissioned in 1979 and became a museum ship in Port Au Prince.

Created during the dawn of 1940, Kaguya was designed specifically as a repair ship, equipped with the latest in ship repairing equipment that could be mounted on a ship along with some light weaponry in case it was needed. When she was drafted, she was the first of her kind with new cutting age technology and speedy repair crew that were unrivaled in their abilities. She had large amounts of horsepower that could compete with larger ships, but most were used in her machines, resulting in slow cannon turning speed and low overall speed.
