Also ballistics may not be fancy looking or advance but they still get the job done. If you think ballistics are still primitive than stand in front of a gauss rifle and see if it does any damage to you and your little shield or better the Morgana's railguns." Hex was getting annoyed with the alien and while she isn't the type to order a purge of any anomalous species she was very tempted to break her own moral code just for this one time for this one species that shows nothing but hostility to humanity and has shown pride on destroying humanity's home world.

Elizabeth tried her best to contain her laughter at what Brynn said, especially since she got the reaction she wanted from the woman with that statement. "Yet something else we can agree on." Elizabeth almost drank her bourbon but thankfully stopped when she laughed again at what Brynn had to say about the new aliens in the hub. "Oh fuck now you got that thought in my head too." she said before continuing on with her laughter, falling on her side. Thankfully she made sure to get the bottle to stand up so it didn't spill on the bed but she was struggling on keeping it straight due to her laughter.

Soon Elizabeth calm down and got back up, taking another drink from her bottle. "Besides giving me some disturbing dreams for tonight do you have anyone back in your universe waiting for you?" the witch asked. "Before you ask I still have family members and friends who are both alive and care for me and would be glad to see that I'm back after disappearing from the face of the Earth." a look of dread came over Elizabeth when she realize something. "Oh bloody hell what am I going to tell Amelia when I get back?! I did her a favor and I was suppose to go back and meet her before I was taken to this place."

This human was getting very close to earning an energy dagger in the chest, her tone was not one the Zira was known to tolerate. "The humans possess these 'railguns', but they are a cumbersome weapon that takes time to charge up. A single cruiser crippled the defense guns around Reach before it was destroyed by Demons, though its success paved the way for the capture of the planet." The Ultras grumbled again, remembering the fight, it was a hard fought yet satisfying victory. The CNV Long Night of Solace earned a place in the Divine Beyond that day. "If the humans cannot even defend their home planet, then their weapons are no threat." Zira dismissed Hex with a wave of his hand and the two Ultras stepped between the captain and the Shipmaster.

Brynn laughed when Elizabeth did, but got quiet when asked if there was anyone at home for her. "Not really." she said. "I had a sister but... She was a researcher, like Mum was. She was doing work on a research station on a planet when the Militia attacked. The security forces managed to push them back, but a lot of the scientists were... executed, for working for the IMC." She shook her head, taking a big drink of the bourbon. "Who's Amelia, if you don't mind me asking?" she said, trying to change the subject.

Marie and Katya - Shitty Transition to the Conference Room

Two new figures appeared in the room - a young woman who seemed quite interested in what was happening around her, and a short girl. Marie had made her way down the halls after bumping into Humans, none of which were dressed in any familiar fashion...and aliens. She was already tired from just how much insanity she had run into.

She stepped in, and despite her unease, she carried herself with confidence. Her rifle was once again slung on her shoulder, so that was at least an improvement over keeping it at the ready to shoot anyone around her. Behind her, Katya slipped into a seat all by herself, looking as though she were analyzing everything around her.

The Hub

"The humans from your world may have failed to defend their home world but don't think that other human civilizations would fall so easily. My people for example dealt with invaders how have intentions of destroying or enslaving my people and we made them play dearly." However those words went to deaf ears as not only Zira dismissed but have two of his guards stand in front of her to send a not to subtle message for her to stay silent or else.

The woman glared at both the alien and at Revan for letting the aliens live instead of giving her and the others the chance to kill the aliens. Before she wouldn't have mind on letting the jedi act as a second authority figure in the hub but now she is starting to have her doubts on the jedi. The door open as two soldiers enter. "We need the captain to return to the Morgana. Something came up."

Elizabeth winced when she found out that she picked a terrible subject to talk about. "Sorry to hear that." When Brynn asked who is Amelia the witch can tell that the question was an attempt to move the topic away from her sister. "An old friend that I knew since high school. She is a nice and caring lass. No we aren't a couple if that is what you're thinking, she is married already. She is a doctor who sometimes works with a local homeless shelter in her part time. She asked me to find one of the residence of the home who vanished and I agreed to help her. The bloke OD on heroin in some abandoned factory that had a warehouse that contained a conduit that dragged me to the hub. Not a glorious way to join a multiverse saving mission."

Elizabeth pulled down her other leg and was now sitting cross legged. "So what were you and your marine friends doing before you two got dragged into the mess with the hub?"

Sloan paused at the alien's choice of words, and couldn't help but interject in a way that would probably just piss them off more than they already were.

"Hold the fuck up. Humanity's 'homeworld' isn't Reach, unless they call it something different in your world, it's Earth. And you're both wrong. I'm not even from an interplanetary time, let alone interstellar, and I can already tell you laser weapons are gonna be the future. And antimatter. But mostly lasers." Of course nobody's stupid enough to actually try antimatter Magic or whatever, that'd be crazy dangerous. And fucking stupid.

Shirou merely shook his head, neither noticing nor caring that the alien had decided to end the discussion - much like Saber and Ilya, he had determined the plasma sword to not be enough of a threat to warrant holding his tongue. "I doubt the humans of our world, let alone the vampires, Dead Apostles, True Ancestors, or Types would allow you to so casually destroy Earth if you proved to be that much of a threat. Hell if it came to that, the Mage's Association might even lift the statutes of secrecy for one last push - though I've heard studies that such a situation might 'kickstart' a new Age of Magic."

Zira turned towards the girl that called out. "There is not a planet called 'Earth', and the UNSC government and military buildings were all headquartered on the planet Reach. It was their home. Perhaps you should hold your tongue before you make further assumptions regarding things you know nothing about." Zira glared at this... juvenile. On Sanghelios, juveniles knew when not to speak, a discipline that humans clearly lacked judging by all the interjections. "Are all of the humans here so... abrasive?" Zira asked Revan. Perhaps they would be better off leaving them to fend for themselves and harboring their ignorance with each other.

Brynn listened to Elizabeth talk about how she ended up on the Hub. She remembered her mentioning an overdose on heroin back when they were outside of the tavern. "Yea, you told me some of that back on the mission." She asked her about what the IMC was doing, and Brynn was sure it wasn't a classified matter so she didn't care about talking. "We were on a planet, we raided and captured a Militia-held refinery. Then we check out the surrounding areas, and there's a cave with a bloody conduit in it." she said, laying back down on her stomach, propping her head up on her hands.

"Yep that is the full story. I guess it was going to be me or some other mage who finds it because us mages are both drawn to weird things and weird things are drawn to us. You just got lucky that the mage that came was me since I'm the fun loving type." she gave the woman a smile. When Brynn told Elizabeth how she and the marines found their conduit the witch asked. "How come the Milita didn't find it before you guys? How long were they in that refinery anyway? If they were there long enough than surely one person would have found the conduit before you guys?"

J.D. Lange (with his new "look")

Jraden wrote:"Geralt of Rivia, Witcher." He said, doing his best to smile as he shook the Man's hand. He was too used to being professional when he shook hands. "Before you ask, Witchers are mutated monster slayers for hire in my world. And relax, I doubt anything you do will offend me. Speaking of you, what's your name?"

Mutated monster slayers? Oh, this was going to be fun. Now that J.D. had this man's genetic sample in his file system, he could check out just how this mutation was made. And experiment for future use. Most times, mutations ended up horribly disfiguring and harming everyone. There had been that crackpot theory that the gutter trash used, the homeless and brain-dead. That theory went like this: somehow, we were all mutating and getting better! Ha! As if those folks weren't already mutants of some kind themselves. But it didn't make them better at all. So to see a mutation in the genes that actually made someone improve? J.D. began to smile. And it was not because of the conversation that he was in, even if that's the impression it might give off.

"Geralt of Rivia." He said, tasting the name. "The name's J.D. Lange. And while I don't have nearly that kind of exciting background that you have, well, let's just say I have skills that few others have." No others, really. No one else had his microtech. At least on his world of Dysten. J.D. wondered what some of the AEGIS goons might do with it if they had it. Not a good thought.

"I can prove it to you, too. I bet that I can surprise the daylights out of anyone on this space station. You get to pick whoever you want. And I'll shock them. We might even make a gentleman's wager on it..." J.D. let his words trail off. The hook was out there. Would the fish bite?

When she asked about why the Militia never found the Conduit, Brynn could only speculate. "I guess because it wasn't actually in the refinery itself, it was in a mountain range nearby. We just happened to go there to scout for more troops and found it. I imagine they found it by following our trail after they came to try to take it back when they realized it was abandoned."

Sloan raised an eyebrow, but it was Saber that stated what she had on her mind.

"As someone with extensive martial experience, I doubt this 'Reach' was the homeworld of your universe's humanity if they did not fight to the last drop of blood to keep it. It is entirely possible you destroyed a major military and industrial hub, yes, but unless you have fully conquered humanity or are days away from it, I doubt Reach is your universe's equivalent of Earth."

Ilya smirked at the 'humans are so abrasive' comment, as did Sloan. Boy, was this alien in for a whole new world of abrasiveness if this was all it took.

"That is a good theory to work with. I can ask the Milita on board how they got here. I'm sure I can easily charm some of them into telling me everything I want to know and if I can maybe I can use your help to get them to loosen their tongues."

Elizabeth finished off her bourbon and wiped her lips with her arm. "I know time is hard to measure in here but how long you think we've been here just talking?" Elizabeth took out the old wristwatch she had and cursed when she realize she didn't adjust the hands when she last used the watch, the witch put away the device as it was not going to help her now.

Elizabeth took off the amulet and put it in her pant's pocket along with the watch. "We had a demon join us and now a hostile race that wants humans dead for being heretics. What's next the Spanish Inquisition?" the exasperated mage said as she moved her head back and gently tapped the back of it on the wall as she sighed.

Zira lowered himself to just about Saber's eye level, and growled out in a low tone, "I was there. I saw how hard they fought. The desperation in their eyes. Like cornered rats. They didn't stop until the planet was purified. It was there, on Reach, where they bred their Demons, who fought harder than anyone else to defend their home. Now they have no government, their movements are erratic. You know nothing of my world, human. You know nothing of my people. Your ignorance removes what little value your opinions might hold." Zira stood up and walked away. Even in the multiverse, humans were a stubborn race of vermin. Hopefully these here were smart enough to be useful, or else they would have to be exterminated.

Brynn looked to her wrist, but realized her watch was with her suit, across the room. Of course, she didn't know what time it was when they got back so it wasn't any use to her either. "Don't know, hour or two, maybe?" She moved and sat next to Elizabeth, her head making a thud against the wall. "Whoever's next, you know it'll our job to keep 'em in line. Just like in Whiterun." Brynn said smiling. She looked down, her bottle was now empty too. "Ah sod it." she said tossing it away from her. "I'm dry, for now." she said looking over to the witch.

J.D Lange's introduction made Geralt deduce something was different about him, that he had ulterior motives. But Geralt wasn't going to interrogate him right here and now. Besides, J.D Lange, assuming that was his real name as it sounded much like an alias, had given him the opportunity to "Shock" someone. And this got Geralt thinking.

The only people he had interacted with were Spyglass and Ramon who were in the room near to him, Mordred, Maylin, Kauffman, Brynn, and Elizabeth, whom he had no idea where they were. And Revan, but he hadn't interacted with him yet. Also the Covenant, but Geralt didn't want to send J.D to his death. And Athena, the Goddess, and he doubted she'd take kindly to a prank.

"You see those two in there?" Geralt asked, crossing his arms but pointing a finger at Spyglass and Ramon in the room. "There's two solid choices in there, either the idiot who's about to get himself killed, or Spyglass. If you shock Spyglass I'll give you some currency and maybe some other valuable... minerals I might have on me.I doubt it's worth much here. Of course that's IF you can pull this off, which you probably can't, no offense. But you can always go after the lovable rapscallion. You'd probably get a better reaction out of him, and if you impress me enough I'll give you something anyway. And if you somehow shock both? Then let's just say I'll be VERY impressed."

If Zira had expected to intimidate Saber, he was gravely mistaken, as she did not so much as twitch in response. Instead, she merely shook her head as Zira walked away.

"I somehow doubt you have seen humanity at its most desperate, for if you had you would not be so willing to fight them again. If you wished to challenge my honor so badly, you should have come right out and said it."

It was odd, thought Saber, that her Charisma as a King had no effect on Zira. Perhaps his species's psychology was too alien for it to work, or perhaps he was too blindly devoted to his cause to be swayed, or perhaps he, like her, had very high Magic resistance. Regardless, his dismissive tone of humanity would have to be dealt with one way or another eventually, and Saber dearly wished that she would be the one to do it. Who knows, perhaps he would prove a sufficient challenge to require revealing her sword.

Sloan wisely decided that it was best not to pick a fight with these two.

Revan
The Hub
Conference Room

After showing Zira his lightsaber, Revan retracted the blade and returned the hilt to its place on his belt. The rest of the group seemed utterly determined to bicker over everything and nothing, from the use of plasma weaponry, to some planet called "Earth," while Revan just rubbed his eyes. The Jedi tasked with instructing younglings probably didn't even have to put up with this much nonsense. Since there was nothing to be gained from participating in the bickering, Revan just walked away and approached the central terminal in the Conference Room with Athena following close behind to prepare the briefing. After confirming with VICCI that most of the new arrivals were now in the Conference Room, Revan decided it was best to begin the briefing now before the arguments escalated into an all out brawl.

"To the new arrivals, if you would please take your seats we will begin the briefing now; to those who have already seen the briefing, you may stay and watch it again or leave if you wish. If you were with us in Skyrim, then I'd recommend taking this time to get some rest before some other disaster happens." After giving everyone sufficient time to seat themselves if they wished, Revan pressed a few buttons on the terminal to start up the briefing, and the questions asked and answers given once that had concluded. As the recording came to an end, Athena stood in the middle of the room and asked the new arrivals: "Do any of you have additional questions?"

Silverdale: The Conduit

“This room again?” The flamboyant redhaired boy in a dress complicated to the group. His moment was limbed, as bandages covered the inflicted wounds from a previous battle. “Crystal, we visited this trash room before, and still Akari isn’t here.”

The Crystal Rain Warrior shook her head. “There’s gotta be something here darling. After all, Aragi loved to place traps around this dusty old castle and Akari might have fallen into one of them.”

The silver haired half-dragon half-elf frowned. “True, but this is another dead end.”

“Patience Bronze Buster.” Crystal said. “We can find the reason why she disappears on us.”

Without the team combat medic, the night was a complete disaster for Crystal and the gang. Not only did the Lich go away with the info they need, but the horde of the dead risen caused a few party mates straight to the hospital. The Crystal Rain Warrior done her best to contain one side, but the rear lack her partner to handle the rest. It was only a miracle Crystal stop most of them as they retreat, and when they return at daylight, the floors were frozen over to make the zombies trip over.

Now Crystal, while keeping herself cool and doing her best to find her good friend, was hoping the worst did not happen. Yet Crystal can hear little voice from Miyuki’s growing anxiety and fear about the worst that came to Akari. Crystal kept her cool, as a nasty Lich had to leave some magical trick from the seemingly unimportant magical devices in this room. Obviously, she spotted the portals and the original one, tapping her foot and rubbing her chin. Suddenly, her entire body jumped when the voice in her head cried out in terror of the worst assumption ever.

“Calm down girl, the portal didn’t take Akari away. Now, what did I say about jumping into conclusions?” Crystal told her head.

“But Crystie.” The Voice got louder. “There’s something odd about that glowing one.”

The boy snickered a little, trying to control his inappropriate laughter while Crystal sighed and strolled over to the strange portal there. “The Lich attempted to replica the original, and what I can observe from its design, this portal is something out of this world. I’m not even sure this is extraterritorial technology or something from the heavens that we’re dealing with.” The voice told Crystal.

“Alien tech darling?” Crystal shrugged a little. “I suppose this is the case, but how in the world could Akari activate it?” Crystal waved her hand over the framework, gently allowing her fingers to feel the structure itself. Yet, the shock made her pull away and quickly realize what she has done.

“Crystal get back!” The half dragon exclaimed.

Crystal eyes widen as the portal open and started to pull her in. Her friends rush in to grab her arms, yet the force of portal sucked the awed magical girl inside. Just as it opened up, the portal quickly closed and seemingly loss of all power.

The Hub: Akari’s quarters

“Awww man, why can’t I get some good shut eye with something crazy happening.” Akari complained. The angelic magical girl quietly moves into the personal quarters after a long day not only from her world, but the cold realm of Skyrim. Strangely, she slept through poor Elizabeth’s nightmare freak out, and the clash between a dragon and a titan. Only getting glimpse of it, before drowsy walking back to her room when she returned to the Hub. She wasn’t sure if any spacey fashion would be provided in her room, or any skin-tight clothes like the one from Stardust. Or a goofy retro style outfit.

So, she strips down to her bare skin and covered herself in her beds blankets… but all that is ruin know that there are aliens attacking! Maybe? Who knows! Akari jumped out of bed, and quickly leap into action, calling out the sacred heavenly words to become the Prismatic Light Warrior.

As she rushed out of the room, her best friend fell into the same place Akari arrived at the Hub in the first place. Crystal, bewildered about the whole travel experience between time and space, looked around the location she found herself into. She tried to make sense of this place, but shook her head. Is this place even real, or a fixture of her imagination? Then it was clear, the portal is indeed alien technology, and this entire base is the real deal.

“Oh my.” Crystal eyes darted around, still confused about this place. “Perhaps poor Akari ended up here. Hopefully, she isn’t tied up with any strange alien plot.” Crystal remarked. Still, she began to tell that the design of this place was awfully a lot like human imagination, and have designs made for humanoid beings.

The Hub hallway
J.D. Lange (looking old and distinguished)

Jraden wrote:J.D Lange's introduction made Geralt deduce something was different about him, that he had ulterior motives.

Of course, Geralt of Rivia had to pick one guy who was a robot for the challenge. You can't shock a robot. I mean, without getting some kind of electricity involved, which wasn't what we were talking about. I had heard that mentioned the last time we were in the conference room, while everyone else was getting there. Didn't catch the guy's name, but heard enough to know that he was a synthetic. Plus, just looking at that well-oiled machinery on two legs with camera eyes kind of gave it away that he was robotic. So, great.

The other choice, the supposedly-easy mark, was a slobbering, dead drunk newcomer who was still downing his brew. While it might be easy to shock him while sober, who knew what kind of mental reaction he would have now while everything probably either made him laugh or try to pick a fight. Just great.

But, I opened my big mouth, and now I have to do my best. So I said, "Either of those, huh? The synthetic or the drunk. Good. I like a challenge." But before I could plan my move, all of a sudden, there was a commotion in that same room. A shot, deeper than what I'm used to, and a flash of light. And that's when the challenge got even more interesting...

The drunk was escorted out of the room by robots. And they must have been going the other way, because their noise got quieter as time went by. So I guess the choice was made. The robot it is.

"Seems like fate has made the choice for me. The drunk was just escorted out of the room by robots. So now, let me find a way to shock the unflappable Spyglass..." Just. Great.

"You can always back out now..." Geralt said with a smirk. "I don't think we ever agreed to a wager on your part, but if you lose you still owe me something. Of course IF you win, there will be something only a true gentleman like myself can provide." And so Geralt waited for J.D to either back out or try to continue his rather foolish challenge."

Either way it was going to be entertaining on his side.

Bloody perfect timing." she put it away. The witch rolled her bottle off the bed and turn to look at Brynn. " "I can go back and get us some more or we can call it a day on the drinks and finish our little chat here for now?" the witch said.

"Probably because we're more sensible than half that lot put together." Brynn said laughing. Elizabeth threw her bottle away too. "Aww shite. damn stuff runs out fast when you've got help." She looked back at Elizabeth, "I could go for some more, or we could see if they have space telly." she said. She pointed over towards the wall. "That thing there looks like a small replicator, I bet we can get more booze out of it, and you can make that change of clothes you wanted." she said.

"Yeah that has to be the reason. Kinda wish I made myself look crazy now just to dodge this unwanted responsibility. I already got to deal with my own issue without worrying over what a bunch of crazies and monsters are up too." unlike Brynn Elizabeth wasn't in a laughing mood about the new role that was thrusted upon her. "Yeah but you have to admit having some drinks with company is better than drinking alone." When she suggested on either getting more or seeing what was on the space telly Elizabeth gave her a grin. "Or we can do both. Those small replicators can make us more beer and we can watch whatever channels their space tellys have." Elizabeth however ponder on the change of clothing.

"As tempting as performing a stripetease in here is I think I will pass for now." Elizabeth got up and walked over to the replicator. "I will make us some new drinks while you figure out how to work that thing." Elizabeth pressed a few buttons and the replicator was making new drinks for the Welsh women.

Brynn noticed how unenthused Elizabeth was with their role. "Ah, cheer up lass. At least one of us went to Officer's Academy. Wrangling this lot is just part of the job." she said trying to reassure her. "Both is fine." Brynn looked the wall and found a small panel. "I guess this is the clicker." she said sitting back on the bed. She pressed a button on the panel and it turned on. "Would you look at that, I'm a natural." she said laughing. When Elizabeth said she'd pass on the striptease Brynn chuckled a little. "Aye, it was worth a try though." she said trying to find something she recognized.

After Ramon was escorted out of the conference room with his drink, he was dropped nearby his quarters where he first woke up. He was quite displeased, and with the last weapon he had on him seized, he had to do something. He felt a nasty pain in his stomach, so he went looking for the bathroom.

On his way he found a large door with a sign saying "Hanger." Automatically assuming that this was a place for hanging out where there'd be a bathroom instead of a spaceship hanger, he banged on the door.

"Hello, por favor, is this the bathroom? I need to go to the bathroom, please."
Now set in an alternate world where GS didn't go to war with Junkyard America for a second time because we lost a war against Mekishima and now in the canon lore we're Mekishiman clay, so treat us how you may.

The many people from AEGIS who were in the hangers ignored him save for those near the door. However one of the few that did was a woman in Goliath power armor for she ran towards him in incredible speed and grabbed the drunkard, pulling him away from the massive foot of a Jotun mecha-suit that almost stepped on him by mistake.

"Watch where you're going sir. This place is rather crazy now with activity." the woman noticed that the man was drunk. "Sir how much did you drink before coming here and where do you come from exactly because I never saw you here?" she asked as she guided Ramon to a chair for him to sit on.

"Now sir do you know where you are? Can you tell us your name?" a doctor said as he checked his eyes with a small flashlight. The doctor hmm as he took out a breathalyzer. "Please breath into this." the doctor requested.

"You're a natural of the clicker and I'm for the replicators." Elizabeth carried a few bottles and made sure to be careful as she walked to the bed and sat down. Once she was on the bed she put the bottles in a safe location and gave Brynn one. "Who knows dear, maybe one day you would be lucky to get that show. But for now let's see what's on tv." she open the bottle and began to drink from it.
