As much as it pains me to say so, I don't think this is RP for me. The concept is really interesting and I feel like it'd be a really fun time period to worldbuild in, I don't think it's fair to the other RP-ers for me to continue because I'm not in the same mindset as them, and to me because I won't be able to take Zhur in the creative direction I had envisioned.
I don't feel like this was a waste of my time, because I learned about my weaknesses as both a writer and a historian.
I do feel like it's time to remove my reservation.

Army Description : The Army of the Soviet Republic, formerly known as "The Red Army" is an all volunteer force. Historical Russian Cavalry has taken its place in the new Socialist Republic. Using their riding skills to police the country for Partisan Forces and other such criminals. The mainstay of the Soviet Forces are it's Infantry. Large units of the line are formed, predominantly armed with single service bolt action rifles, and supported by a mixture of flying artillery (horse-drawn light cannons) and heavier mule driven artillery. The Army boasts a large recruitment of dedicated Partisan forces, with many of the lowest privates being dedicated members of the Socialist Workers Party.
Army Weakness : The Army, while capable of fighting against most conventional armies, lacks in effective fighting strength against other European/Asian powers. It lacks dedicated officers, and the most recent Partisan officers are young and inexperienced. The Armies other detriment is its distance, the majority of the Armies bases and outposts are either in Petrograd and the Finnish North, or in the Immediate South in the Caucasus Region.
Naval Description : The former Imperial Navy has disintegrated after the fall of the Tsar. Defectors scuttled the largest ships and destroyed military harbors. The current navy is only a few schooners that survived the Naval Purge.
Naval Weakness : Practically non-existent, drydocks have been decimated and left to rot, no trained officers exist, and a government that isn't interested in rebuilding in Navy.
Further Military Description : Although the Party is loath to do so, Conscription could potentially be a powerful tool against invasion, millions of Russian natives, along with other ethnic groups, could be gathered and used to defend the onslaught of another foreign power.

1861-Tsar Alexander the Second decreed that the Russian Serfs of the Empire are to be reinstated as property of the Russian Nobility. Commoners across the Empire are outraged, and civil disobedience becomes common.
1865-The Great Strike immobilized the Empire in a National Strike in a show of solidarity to the now enslaved Serfs. In response the Tsar enacted Martial Law in much of the Empire, and decreed that any further strikes or disobedience will be punishable by death.
1866-Tsar Alexander the Second orders the burning of some universities. An intellectual evacuation begins as educated Russians flee the country.
1867-The Russian Senate, established by Peter the Great, rules against Tsar Alexander the Second and deems his actions unconstitutional. Tsar Alexander the Second responds by military occupation of the Senate in St.Petersburg, and decrees it abolished.
1869-St.Petersburg is placed under martial law do to growing unrest. The Tsar evacuates to the Finnish Provinces and proclaims Vyborg as the temporary capital. This move is met with joy by the Russian people, who take this as a victory.
1870-The Tsar withdraws much of the Imperial Army from the Eastern Provinces, leaving forts and towns with token defenses or none at all in the lowest population areas. Siberia descends into a state of effective anarchy, and is considered to be lost.
1875-The Tsar's health deteriorates, and he further secludes himself from the Nobility. Meeting only with Generals and Priests.
1877-The Noble Families of Moscovy are captured by rioting peasants. They are given a public trial, and found guilty in the exploitation and enslavement of the Russian People. Their Manors are looted and burned. The Tsar response is to send Imperial forces into Moscovy and capture the Peasants responsible. Widespread killing occurs in the city, and eventually the Imperial Forces reestablish martial law.
1880-A German intellectual with ties to the Russian nobility writes about the struggle of the peasantry in their revolts against the cruel Monarchy of Russia. Using previously developed Marxist thought to justify the rebellion and struggle of the people, the book becomes popular in the Russian Intellectuals who were previously forced out. Organizations begin to form to discuss the implications of the Peasant Rebellion and to develop Marxist thought.
1881-The Russian Socialist Party forms among the communities of displaced Russian Intellectuals. Anokhin Rustem Maximovich, a former chemist, is elected Party Chair. Tsar Alexander the Second dies of health complications in his home in Vyborg.
1882-Imperial Russia is thrown into a state of disarray as the direct heir to the throne abdicated due to his fear of assassination. Nicholas, his son, and the grand-son of the previous Emperor is next in line. But without a clear line of succession, due to his Father's abdication, the Noble families are splintered and the Monarchy is left without an heir. A vote is taken in the Russian Socialist Party on whether or not to exploit this weakness in the Russian State. The vote is tallied an unanimous victory for capitalizing on the weakness.
1885-Members of the Russian Socialist Party return to their homeland to fight against the Monarchy. Partisan Groups begin to form in the Russian countryside, the Russian Imperial Army begins to encounter resistance in the countryside.
1890-The Imperial Army is forced out of Moscow by armed Partisan Forces, Party Chair Maximovich leading the movement. A crude bomb was constructed from manure, sulfur, and phosphorus; this was used to blow open the Armory and arm the people. Noble families begin evacuation their evacuation of Russia, fearing for their lives and leaving their possessions behind. Many are caught in escape and executed as external threats to the growing People's Rebellion.
1891-The Socialist Republic of Moscovy and it's Socialist Satellites is formed in Moscow. The Imperial Army begins recalling troops from across the Empire, the Western Provinces are abandoned and Russia loses control of the Baltics, Ukraine, and Poland. The Russian Imperial Army reorganizes itself into the White Army, offering shelter to Nobles displaced and fearing for their lives, and promising to a restoration of the Russian Monarchy. Desperate efforts are made to secure St.Petersburg and the Finnish Provinces.
1892-Party Chair Maximovich is caught by a White Army Partisan group, he is executed once his role and importance is discovered. Mourning is had for the lost comrade in Moscow. The Russian Socialist Party quietly reorganizes itself into The Socialist Worker's Party, and the Party quietly elects Barinov Volgin, a self proclaimed Colonel, to lead the newly organized Russian Red Army.
1893-General Volgin orders a general mobilization of all loyal partisan forces into Novgorod, and begins moving the previously assembled peasant army North. The White Army begins to dig fortifications around St.Petersburg and stations the majority of their forces there.
1894-Novgorod is taken and fortified by the Red Army. Peasants from around Russia gathered with the Red Army to end the Tyranny of the Tsar. Tsar Nicholas the Second assumes the throne in Vyborg, elected by a small minority of Russian Nobility. General Volgin announces plans to march on St.Petersburg and remove the Tsar from power. 10,000 men from the White Army defect and flee St.Petersburg, they are captured by the Red Army.
1895-The Red Army engages White Army positions South of St.Petersburg, waves of men and women are lost to the fortified positions. General Volgin interrogates officers in the captured 10,000 soldiers. The Engineers within the POWs approach the General with a proposition, freedom for St.Petersburg, General Volgin agrees to their terms.
1896-The Siege of St.Petersburg begins in earnest, as the Southern defenses to the City are lost and the Red Army encircles the City. The Engineers plan begins as tunnels are dug under the city. Tsar Nicholas the Second decrees a hundred year reign over the Russian Empire, and a swift victory over the Communists is promised. By year end the tunnels are complete and waves of Red Army troops pour into the City. The Monarchy is thrown into disarray as the White Army's largest positions is overthrown. The Remanants of the White Army retreat into the Finnish North and become Partisan Forces.
1897-St.Petersburg is renamed Petrograd as celebrations in the city continue. Statues dedicated to Peter the Great and the Empire are toppled in Petrograd and Novgorod.The Socialist Worker's Party holds a drafting session throughout the year for the new government and it's constitution. Rifts begin to form between leaders rising to prominence in the post-revolution society. General Volgin and Assonova Valka Danilovna, a House Serf who rose to prominence by killing her master and leading an armed rebellion, arise as clear front runners to lead the new Republic.
1898-Political tensions boil into violence as groups supporting Volgin and Danilovna clash in the streets, only five deaths are reported. The Party forces a mandated ceasefire and separates the two by geographic location. General Volgin is redeployed into the Southern Regions, and Danilovna to the Finnish Provinces. Elections for Premier are pushed back into the Party can select a Chairperson. Emergency decrees are enacted by the Party to restore normalcy. Political infighting and Civil War reconstruction occupies the Party's time until the end of the 19th Century.

Lance was standing just aside the platform as the tubby union boss tried halfheartedly to get the crowd anticipated for his speech, he was nervous, sweating carefully contained under his suit he was roused from his thoughts when the union boss clasped him roughly on the shoulder, "Your on." he said as he passed by. Lance took large steps to the podium, wiped his brow, cleared his throat and began to speak. "H-H-Hello, as you know my name is Lance Faraday and I've been elected to serve you." He paused, the crowd silently stared at him, "I-um-I may not be the bold new ideas and so grand a scheme as my colleagues have, but I can promise you this, I will always be with the people. This means I support a healthy industrial environment, the blue collars are the backbone of our economy, so our are farmers, as well as our service based friends including government employees. This is why I support the formation of unions and the right of workers to strike, it is unreasonable to me that you would have to work hours and hours everyday only to take less pay from the owner, or to work overtime without compensation, just as the boss is the provider of jobs you the workers provide him with his." the crowd had warmed up a bit to this and seemed to like where this was heading.

"However, it is important that we not abuse our island without temperament, Mother Nature is kind to all of us but not if we abuse her. I believe it is possible to continue to have an industrial base as well as pursue environmentally friendly policies, this includes ending our dependency on oil and natural gas, I recognize the loss of jobs in the short term, but the amount of jobs from the construction of wind farms, solar plants, and nuclear fission will far outnumber the ones lost, and all save the last one require similar construction skills as building another derrick." Some in the crowd were paying full attention, others were at least being polite.

"I've gone over my time here, but if you would let me finish my last two or three points. As an island nation I think it would be prudent to maximize the efficiency of our Navy and Airforce, maybe some expansion of bases and dockyards, but we should primarily focus on having our troops at the smallest point with the largest rate of success. Secondly, much of the developed world suffers from a crisis of mental illness we need to invest in both pharmaceuticals and psychologists that can lessen the impact of these terrible diseases that effect many of us and our families, disproportionately so does it effect the lower class, inmates, and juveniles. The fight to treat this illnesses and to keep treatment affordable is one that we can fight in the capitol. Lastly, while some developed countries struggle with substance abuse, we should not let this scare us away from the largely 'harmless' cannabis plant, while every drug has negative side effects this includes tobacco and alcohol, but with no-one calling for an end to the use of those why should we continue to enforce penalties for such a similar drug? It would also be my hope to expand the agricultural base in the country, both for cannabis and other crops, to return to our more sustainable roots. To clarify allowing or passing a law that allows limited agricultural practices to be preformed both in urban and rural properties, people can save a dime or two by growing their own garden or by being an entrepreneur and starting a locally grown food place in the middle of downtown wherever."

The crowd clapped for the end of the speech, whether genuinely impressed or just trying to be courteous was unknown. "Thank you all for being here, and have a good day." he stepped off the stage smile growing upon his face, "That went rather well I think."

Economic Description :
Prussia has historically been a very agricultural society where half of the food of Germany came from as well some reserves of coal and steel though not as plentiful that there was in the west. For a good while after the Saxe-Prusso Hegemony war of 1865,a lot of the established industrial power that Prussia had was lost to the Saxons though the army was smart enough to take most of the industrial equipment with them as the fled to Berlin. Prussia would lag behind in terms of Industrial strength for a few years before springing back into the fold with the establishment of a new industrial heart land base in East Prussia.

Prussias economy strongly resembles that of its Western neighbor but has far less Coal fields. Agricultural Prussia does very well having taken parts of Poland in 1869. It gained more Industrial potential when it invaded the Baltic states until they Reached Riga,taking control of the factories in those areas.

Tech Group : Western European

Army Description : The Prussian army has large standing army of about 750,000 men with 250,000 of them being professional fighting men with other 500,000 being conscripts serving their mandatory 3 years of service before being put in the reserve which numbers at approximately 2.3 million. They fight in the typical European Fashion but have a very flexible chain of command. While Generals still make key decisions in battles,the lower ranked officers are expected to change the battle plan on the fly without The High Command ordering. This gives the Prussian army more flexibility on the battlefield then most nations that still used a centralized command structure.

The Prussian Uniform is the same design used in the RL Franco-Prussian War but in this timeline they didn't collide. The Prussian Infantry were issued Grewehr 98 rifles. The Infantry did make up the single most populace branch of the military. The army was also equipped with machine guns.

The Prussian Calvary was also a fundamental part of the Prussian Military. They were armed with sabers and laces for open battle but if need to dismount was needed they would use their Russian made 1895 Calvary Gun.

The Prussian Artillery Corps was also well equipped with mobile field guns as well as big artillery peices.

Army Weakness :The biggest weakness to the army is that its officers are very distant from their own soldiers. In the typical Prussian fashion the higher ranks are not to mingle with the common soldier.

Another weakness is a war of attrition,The Prussian Empire is incapable of sustaining long drawn out conflicts as it's access to trade and natural resources would dwindle if it ever got in a long drawn out conflict.

Naval Description : By the order of the Kaiser,Prussia has vastly extended its naval presence in the world as it aims to grab future colonies in Africa,and Asia as well as possible American colonies if the state their presents an opportunity.

National Ambition/Aspirations : voiding

History :
Most of Prussian history follows the same path it took until 1860 when King Frederick William IV who had survived his stroke from a few years ago and had a son in this timeline,proclaimed he had divine mission from God to unify the German States under him. Though the newly formed Saxony-Westphalians had also the same ambitions as he did.

Proclaiming himself Kasier on December 12,1859, Frederick would launched a war of unification of Germany ,later know as the German Hegemony War, on New Year's Day in 1865. He gave the task of subduing the the other German states to General Bruno von Menke who planned a Great War Plan that would conquer the German States in what he called the Menke Plan.

On the 21 of January the Menke Plan ,as it was then know, was put into effect. Army Group Leitner was able to take its immediate objective of Rostock and routing a Hannover army on their way to Lübeck which surrendered as its garrison had fled south to Hamburg.

Army Groups Kromer and Oldenburg however were having trouble in Saxony as the Saxons had caught wind of the Prussian plan and put in heavy defenses at Magdeburg. Though the city finally was captured by March 21,the Menke time table had been severally set back with Saxony able to draw in more troops as well as Westfalen mobilizing its own armies to help Saxony and Hannover.

Bruno von Menke how ever ordered to continuation of the plan and Army Group Leitner marched on Hamburg while Oldenburg laid siege to Göttingen and Kromer Dresden. Leitner's forces how ever where shocked when they reached Hamburg on June 1st. Approximately 20 miles from the city they were meet by a unified Germnia Army consisting of Saxons,Westfalenians,and Hannovers all waving the same colors.

The resulting Battle of Hamburg was devastating to the numerically inferior Prussian forces as well as the Needle Guns that the Germanian forces carried at the battle. Army Group Leitner would retreat back to Lübeck where their token garrisons at Rostock and Keil were ordered to take Industrial equipment from the cities. This Event would be later known as the Prussian Theft.

With Army Group Leitner now in a full scale retreat,Oldenburg was now in a central bulge as their lines stretch far deep into enemy territory. Facing being surrounded by the United German Forces,Oldenburg abandoned his siege at Göttingen to fall back to Magdeburg to cover Kromer's flank from the approaching armies.

As the Germanian Forces attacked the occupied Cities of Rostock and Magdeburg,Kromer soon abandoned his siege of Dresden after 2 long months of successful victories against lone Saxon armies and the long siege at Dresden. Kromer quickly moved his army north where he helped drive back Germanian forces away from Magdeburg in a mid day assault on the besiegers. Yet further trouble in the north at Rostock would force the Prussians to fall back from Magdeburg as Leitner lost Rostock to the Germanians on the 1st of August.

The Prussian armies now became the defenders as the Germanian forces now attacked Brandenburg,creating the Brandenburg Parameter,a huge line of trenches and forts that dotted the country side to halt the Germanian Forces from getting further into Prussia.

Though on May 18,1866 on Armistice was finally signed between Prussia and Germanian and the subsequent Treaty of Berlin ended the German Hegemony War. The Prussian Kaiser had to abdicate to his 16 year old son,Frederick William IV,Prussian lands that were currently occupied by Germanian forces annexed,and Prussia had to pay reparations for The Prussian Theft.

Though in a weird way you can say that Prussia got what it wanted,after all this war was aimed to unify Germany and in a way it did as it unified against it.

The results of the war was lost of Prussian territory,the Creation of Prussian Constitution,the lost of approximately 100,000 Prussian men,stolen industrial equipment and dashes for a unfied Germany under Prussian rule.

Ok well for the record this marriage woukf have happened between 1870-1880 and I would love for their to be a reason why the two married,political gains,love,or to just too marry off a daughter to continue the linage.
