Before anything major happens with this app... few things:
1) Your post was created AFTER my extension. I am just about had it enough with folks not responding even when I gave 48 hours lockout, so I am just about ready to drop the reserve... but technically Muscovite Khanate of all things should occupy north of your territory. So you may be dropped if Western Imperial shows up. Doubt it, he doesn't have long to do so, but he might... so a fair warning
2) Communism in One State... or Communism in One Country... is a Stalinist ideology that didn't appear in IRL until 1924-ish. Your history would have to explain why Stalinism... WHICH WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME SINCE IT ISN'T STALIN WHO INVENTS IT... will have risen so much earlier in our AltDiv timeline. Communist Manifesto was 1848 publication, so it isn't wildly speculative for Communist state to arise with right paths, but Stalinist Communism wouldn't be here for at least 20 or so years, so a fair warning here.

I'll keep an eye out for the return, I'll still work on the app because I'm personally interested in this idea.
I'll make ample history and new people to justify Communist ideology, Communism in One State was chosen so as to appear non-combative to other powers. In short I'm not advocating for the global revolution currently.

You mean socialism in one country. Stalin never claimed that the USSR was a functioning communist society, nor that communism was achievable in a single country without a global revolution.

Yes I do mean that, I was just talking in the context of my fictional country.

History : For centuries, the land now controlled by the Zhur Kingdom was passed from foreign power to foreign power, with its local puppet regime being the only common factor. Beyond the extraction and refinement of minerals, this left the nation in turmoil and chaos, with bandits and warlords roaming freely, with a semi-feudal system in place up until the Great Revolution. In a state of limbo caused by the lack of a clear foreign controlling power, the local puppet regime was left in a weakened state. The corrupt government forces struggled to maintain control of the populace, as the situation became more and more turbulent. Revolutionary groups began rising up in greater numbers, but most were quelled eventually. In 1870, two brothers, Menx and Tzun Zhurong, led a successful uprising in the north, taking huge swathes of land from both government forces and local warlords. They called for all able-bodied men of the homeland to join the cause of their ideological crusade. Many Zhurese men, educated in the great Oriental and European universities, answered the call and became officers under the brothers. Miners, hunters, farmers, wives, fishermen, children, the elderly, and all in between found themselves swept up on the tide of revolution, each helping in what ways they could. The brothers led the revolution to victory after victory, absorbing other movements, warlords, even disgruntled government troops. In a matter of months, they rid the country of its oppressive regime, and began a purge of corruption. Mass public executions of corrupt government officials were commonplace. In a matter of months, the brothers brutally but effectively swept clean of corruption their new kingdom. Full Nation Name : Kingdom/Empire of Mauretania | Numidia | Mazica
Native Nation Name : Tamazgha ⵜⴰⵎⴰⵣⵗⴰ
Majority/Official Culture : Berber (Imazighen)
Territorial Core : Comprising most Berber homelands minus Taureg Sahara + Libya
Territorial Claim : In Light Blue
Capital City : Qacentina
Population : 15,375,000
Government Type : Monarchy
Government Ideology/Policies : Imperialist, expansionist, anti-colonialist (i.e. Europeans thinking about colonising it)
Government Focus : Military, in terms of consolidating control over the region and expanding control, and legitimacy, in establishing the Bagayids to European powers as good Christian monarchs worthy of recognition.
Head of State : Empress Thiyya Urtien (Tamazight: Tagellidt Tigellidin Thiyya Ult Urtiyen Tajrawt
Head of Government : Amalway Aktula Afellah
Government Description : Theoretically all power rests in the monarch, with much of this power granted to the Parliament, and by extension the Amalway. Modelled on European systems, the leader of the largest party is appointed the Amalway, who then appoints a cabinet to run the executive on behalf of the empress. The Parliament is 400 strong, with 2/3rds elected by a small franchise of 11% of the population, while the rest is selected by the empress, though certain seats are reserved for nobles and religious leaders.
Majority/State Religion : Church of Africa
Religious Description : The Carthaginian Church (officially the Church of Africa) is the largest religious body in Mauretania. Its is often considered a Protestant church, as during the Reformation many of the ideas spread took a hold in the already puritanical and schismatic Donatist sect, though some argue that these Protestant ideals (based upon early church structure and traditions, like the Church of Africa) always existed and were merely brought to European attention after the Reformation. There is also a minority of Catholics, Orthodox, Muslims, Pagans, and Jews, the latter of whom currently hold a protected status under the church (though this has not always been the case)
Economic Ideologies : State Capitalism
Major Production : Grain, minerals, fish
Economic Description : Mauretania is primarily agricultural, with large parts of the population employed in this industry. Mauretania is rich in minerals and the country has many iron, lead, zinc, copper, calamine, antimony and mercury mines. The most productive are those of iron and zinc. Lignite is found in Algiers; immense phosphate beds were discovered near Tébessa in 1891. Phosphate beds are also worked near Sétif, Guelma and Aïn Beïda. There are more than 300 quarries which produce, amongst other stones, onyx and white and red marbles. The country has also industrialised akin to its European neighbours, though lagging behind some in terms of technological innovation and scale of industrialisation.
Tech Group : Without the Islamic conquests, it would have never left the European/Mediterranean sphere, so European? If not N/A will be fine.
Army Description : The standing army is around 150,000, divided into a variety of regiments, and modelled significantly on the French/European model. During the 19th century the Bagayids hired European veterans to change their primarily tribal force into a proper institution capable of waging war. The only remnant of the tribal army are the Blue Turbans, officially the Imperial Guard, who number around 10,000 and are generally the most well-trained, have their officer corps filled with members of the Bagayid, and related, tribes, and are the only force allowed to enter the capital in peacetime.
Army Weakness : The officer corp is not very meritocratic, especially with the Blue Turbans, and therefore sometimes suffers from a lack of experienced leadership, though efforts to counteract this through extensive training for officers has helped a bit.
Naval Description : Around 5 battleships, and 32 other kinds of warships.
Naval Weakness : A lack of experienced sailors, shipyards, and funding hinders the navy at the moment.
Further Military Description : I may expand on this later, though it depends, I'm not really a milsperger.
National Goals : Establish control over the tribes of the interior, protect against outsiders, convert Libya
National Issues : Removing the last vestiges of the Bagayid tribal past, and ensuring that revolutionaries, liberals, and Arab agitators do not cause conflict amongst the majority of the population
National Figures of Interest : King Kusail - Queen Dihya - Bagay - Musa Ibn Nasr
National Ambition/Aspirations : Unite all Tamazight speaking lands, ensure the empire's stability, colonise parts of Africa and generally act European.
History :-690 - North African history proceeds normally until 690, upon the death of King Kusail by encroaching Arab armies.
690-703 - Dihya, one of the more powerful Berber monarchs, defeats another Muslim army and captures one of the officers, Musa ibn Nasr, who she later adopts as her son. Her defeat of Hasan allows the Eastern Romans to quickly reclaim Carthage. In 703 she defeats Hasan once again, with Roman help, and he returns permanently to Libya, while she consolidates her realm.
706 - Dihya is assassinated by Musa, and her realm invaded by a small Arab force joined by Muslim Berbers. Her biological sons, Bagay and Khanchla, divide her realm in two and successfully defeat the invaders. Musa leads his forces west, conquering Constantine from the small Romano-Berber militia and establishing the Nasrid dynasty.. Bagay, in the Aures Mountains, becomes a Donatist, and establishes it as the dominant faith there, while Khanchla continues his mothers Judeo-Christian syncretism.
706-752 - The Nasrids push into Tunisia, finding little resistance as the Romans retreat back to Carthage, while the Tahirids, a Muslim Arabo-Libyan dynasty, conquer the south. They are defeated decisively in an attempt to conquer the Aures region.
752-781 - The Nasrids are slowly pushed out of Tunisia, and the Tahirids attempt to take Carthage twice but fail. The Nasrids focus their efforts west, conquering the divided Christian and pagan Berber realms. The Berber realm created by Khanchla collapses due to internal strife, and raids from neighbouring Berber tribes. -Map-
781-841 - Sultan Salih expands the Nasrid realm into Morocco over six years, conquering most of the north. His successor Umar is able to bring the southern areas under his control. After his death the Nasrid realm fractures into three parts, and the most eastern part is swiftly conquered by the Bagayids, who quickly establish Constantine as their capital. -Map-
841-905 - In 862 a joint Byzantine-Mauretanian force defeats the Tahirids, and Rome regains more of the coastline. By 885 the Moroccan Nasrids have finished reconquering their Algerian kin, and push southwards into the Sahel. By 905 under Sultan Yahya they are at their greatest extent. -Map-
905-967 - In 913 a large Mauretanian force is decisively defeated by the Nasrids, who promptly invade their lands, but are unsuccessful and withdraw in 914. The Romans occupy the abandoned Tunisian lands, and after a few skirmishes with the Mauretanians a treaty is made recognising the annexation for a sum of gold. In 919 the Mauretanians attack the Nasrids, and are able to gain a few victories, largely thanks to Roman mercenaries. They are defeated in 924 in a close defeat, and withdraw. The invasion causes the Nasrids to quickly decline, and the governors of their eastern territories revolt, creating the coastal Harbids, and the Farisids based in Algiers. In 956 the Nasrids face revolts in the north, from the Christian Jilassids, and from the south from the Muslim Dustids, and by 967 are reduced to a small rump in Morocco. -Map-
967-1015 - In 967 the Jilassids conquer Fes, and force the Nasrids south, and by 975 all Nasrids territories are conquered, and the Sultan executed, and his children converted and kept as captives. Ibrahim Banu Nasr, the son of the sultan, becomes a general under the Jilassids and in the 980s conquers the Dustids, and becomes the governor of that region. He is assassinated in 992 after rumours reach the Jilassid king of a potential rebellion, though the now Christian Nasrids remain prominent in Morocco. After a crushing defeat by the Farisids, the Bagayids are driven from Constantine to the Aures mountains, and the Izemids take charge. -Map-
1015-1126 - In 1044 the Izemids conquer the Harbids, and attempt an invasion of the Farisids in 1046 but this is repelled. In 1120 a small Muslim Berber tribe, the Banu Aitbrahim, rise up in Tunisia and take advantage of a lack of Roman development there to conquer most of it except Carthage, the Izemids also conquer some northern coastal territory, ostensibly in the name of the Roman emperor. -Map-
1126-1285 - In 1135 Algiers is conquered by a foreign power, and the Farisids collapse. The Izemids conquer their former territories between 1138 to 1165. They begin a military campaign to conquer the Aures Mountains in 1174, and after three campaigns take it in 1177. The Bagayids flee south, and establish a new realm, though it is much depleted in power. In 1233 the Izemids defeat the Banu Aitbrahim, and conquer Tunisia by 1240. Their incursions into Libya and Morocco are unsuccessful, and they siege Carthage three times. They unsuccessfully siege Carthage for a year in 1284, before purchasing the costly and declining colony from the Romans. -Map-
1285-1360 - In 1312 the Jilassids face severe internal strife as several governors rebel, and two Jilassid kings are killed in quick succession, one assassinated and another killed in battle. The Catholic Dahmanids in Casablanca achieve independence in 1315, and the Donatist Mokranids in 1318. The Jilassids stabilise, and defeat rebel governors in the north, but are devastated by an Izemid invasion in 1326. They lose what they regained in the north, but manage to inflict a severe defeat on the Izemids as they besiege Fes in 1331. The Izemids are unable to take Fes, and eventually make peace with the rump Jilassid state, in return for tribute. They expand eastwards slightly, as the Bagayids dominate and convert some of the tribes of the interior. -Map-
1360-1455 - In 1392 the Izemid king is assassinated, and the realm splits in two as his brother claims the throne now held by a minor. In 1395 the Western Izemids are decisively defeated in battle by a joint rebel-Eastern Izemid force. The Eastern Izemids are unable to take advantage of the chaos, due to wars in the east, and the Muslim Alimids are able to exert control over most of Algeria, though they are unable to hold the interior due to rebellious Berber tribes. In 1410 the Dahmanids defeat the Mokranids, and go on to conquer southern Morocco. They attempt an invasion of Fes in 1432, but are rebuffed by a joint Jilassid-Western Izemid force. -Map-
1455-1533 - In 1452 the Eastern Izemid line dies out, and the throne falls to the Catholic Italian de Lisoni (n Lešen) dynasty, with the Western Izemids unable to contest. The Catholic Dahmanids find themselves continually opposed by the zealous Donatist tribes of the south, and by 1474 are reduced to their holdings in Casablanca. The Donatist Jilassids are able to capitalise on the zeal of these tribes, and successfully depose the Mokranids, founding what is later called the Southern Jilassids, who later send an expedition which cements their control over the Canary Islands. By 1490 the Alimids collapse under pressure from the interior tribes, the de Lisoni, and the Western Izemids. The Western Izemids are able to take the majority of their land, though it soon becomes autonomous under the Mezianid branch of the family. -Map-
1533-1650 - Over this period the de Lisoni expand, conquering the Mezianids in 1566, and then the Western Izemids in 1572. In the 1580s they push eastwards, forcing the Bagayids further south, and establishing control over the rest of Tunisia. Their strict Catholicism, and desire to convert all their provinces, proves unpopular and they spend a great deal of time putting down revolts. After two failed invasions, in 1632 they manage to get the Southern Jilassids to accept them as their overlords, and convert to Catholicism. -Map-
1650-1750 - The Bagayids spend much on the late 17th century establishing control over the tribes of the interior, who share a common Donatist faith. In the early 18th century the Jilassids face a series of revolts in the south after being forced by their overlords to attempt to convert the populace, and soon their power extends no further than the Fes province. The Lisonid armies sent to restore order are routed, prompting a series of rebellion over their provinces. In 1721 the Bagayids launch their invasion of the crumbling Lisoni realm, and by the 1730s have forced them back to the coasts. King Izemrasen campaigns in the west, bringing the various Donatist kingdoms in southern Morocco to heel, though he is unable to take the northern coast, and dies in 1737 besieging Fes. His successor, Warmaksan, campaigns extensively in Algeria and Tunisia, and by 1750 the Lisoni have been reduced to the coast of Morocco, Tunisia, and the city of Algiers. -Map-
1750-1850 - In 1762 King Wararni embarks upon the ambitious undertaking to remove the remaining resistance to his rule. He retakes Algeria in that year, and sweeps through northern Morocco, consolidating it by 1765. He besieges Fes but is unable to to take it for a year, and considers abandoning the siege to defend against Lisonid attacks in the east, until the commander of the garrison of Fes, a Nasrid, offers his service in opening the gates in return for governorship of the city and surrounding region, which is accepted. The city falls, and the Jilassid king is taken as captive, and his family converted. Wararni defeats the Lisonid incursions, and reduces the Lisoni to the city of Carthage. He dies of illness besieging them in 1771, and his successor Yimlul completes the siege in 1772, capturing most of the Lisoni family, bar the crown prince who fled back to the Italian peninsula. The king is executed, while the family is converted, while the Jilassid king converts and renounces any titles, but is confined to an estate in Algiers, where he dies six years later, possibly assassinated. Both families are confined to Constantine, where they build up their power and influence and become influential, with the restrictions being lifted from them in 1810. The Bagayids lose control over the interior tribes as they consolidate their rule over their new, civilised territories. Though they are Donatist, and the Church of Africa is the official state religion, they tolerate various religions and sects, including Orthodox, Jews, Catholics and Muslims, though the latter three are occasionally repressed, and face a stigma from the population at large. -Map-
1850 - present - The Bagayids reform their administration several times, attempting to reduce the power of the large feudal families that had made their positions essentially hereditary, and are successful in this regard in most places, though in Morocco they are forced to rely upon the family Nasrid family to make the changes for them, and the Nasrids comply, though the Bagayid reliance on them ensures that their position is essentially hereditary. The Nasrids send expeditions south, with Bagayid approval, and establish control over what we know as the Western Sahara region and coastal Mauritania. In 1875 King Amastan is severely reduced in power, as the powers delegated to the position similar to what Europeans would call a Prime Minister, or just Minister, (Tazmarten in Tamazight, meaning 'One with power'). In 1891 Thiyya becomes the monarch, and is able to wrest a few powers from the Tazmarten, as well as cripple the Lisoni stranglehold over the position. Though it weakens her own power, she establishes a unicameral parliament, of which two thirds is elected by a small franchise, and the last third selected by queen-in-counsel, and establishes her right to select the Tazmarten, no matter which party wins the election. -Map-

Australian Colonial Flag. Newfoundland Colonial Flag. South Africa Colonial Flag.
Majority/Official Culture: Scandinavian/Nordic.
Territorial Core: The Purple. Nytfundetjord (Newfoundland), Sydafrika (South Africa), and Australien (Australia) are colonies, but are considered member-states.
Territorial Claim: More of Africa/Canada; the Rest of Australia.
Capital City: København (Copenhagen).
Population: Approx. 14 Million (Homeland Scandinavia + Greenland/Iceland); Approx. 19 Million (Homeland Scandinavia, Greenland/Iceland + Colonial).
Government Type: Constitutional Federal Parliamentary Republic.
Government Ideology/Policies: Democratic, pro-integration, semi-expansionist.
Government Focus: The Union focuses primarily on the economy and military.
Head of State: Chancellor Mikael Wolff
Head of Government: See above.
Government Description: While the individual member-states of the Union may have their own constitutions or governments and focuses, the Union is the overall agreed upon government. The Union government is formed primarily by the Parliament of States, the legislative branch of the Union. It passes federal laws that apply to all Union states, as well as overseeing general governance to make sure everyone is treated equally and fairly in accord with the Constitution of the Nordic Union.
The Parliament of States has two houses: the House of Representatives, where many major laws and edicts are passed through and get judged, and the High Council, who reviews laws, gives them the final pass, or makes constitutional amendments which must be passed through the House and approved of by the Chancellor. The Chancellor is an elected member of the High Council, selected by the House, that acts as the de facto and de jure "executive branch" and has supreme executive power. Thus, the Chancellery is the most powerful position in the Union government; at least, executively.
Majority/State Religion: No State Religion; Majority Protestant Christian.
Religious Description: See IRL Protestantism.
Economic Ideologies: Capitalism with mercantile influences.
Major Production: General industrial goods, strong seafood market, gold from South Africa.
Economic Description: Corporations are given mostly free reign, but they still answer to some governmental policy. Colonies are expected to return goods and profits to the Union, but do get their share in time.
Tech Group: European.
Army Description: The Nordic Armed Forces are primarily formed up of well-equipped soldiers with elite training. The NAF has some top-of-the-line weaponry, and generally is looked upon as one of the most well disciplined militaries in Europe.
Army Weakness: One failing of the NAF is that while the weapons and training are of higher quality, because of various factors, many officers are corrupt or otherwise have some improper training level that makes them almost unfit for the position. Also, the NAF requires there to be trains and such to deploy easily to places throughout Scandinavia, Greenland and Iceland. Newfoundland has less railroads or transportation, causing a delay in deployment. Places like South Africa and Australia are more autonomous than most colonies owned by European nations, if only because local militaries are better-enabled to deploy than that of the government.
Naval Description: The Union Naval Forces are formed up of extremely well built ships, with decent weaponry and sailors that tend to be well trained and disciplined. The UNF is extremely prevalent in Scandinavia, near and around Greenland or Iceland, and has a presence around Newfoundland. Various divisions or fleets can be found, in lower quantities, near South Africa and Australia. Officers here tend to be more disciplined than in the NAF.
Naval Weakness: Corruption and inept or improperly trained officers, while in lesser numbers, are more common in the UNF presence around South Africa and Australia. The UNF also tends to save its newest, strongest ships for defense of its homeland and more easily accessed territories, meaning ships near South Africa and Australia tend to be somewhat outdated. This, again, makes them a bit more autonomous than normal colonies since they have to put up their own navies in some cases.
Further Military Description: The Nordic Defense Association runs both the NAF and the UNF, and it is primarily controlled by the High Council or Chancellor more directly than the individual branches of military themselves. Usually, the NDA operates almost as a separate branch of government; only united under the High Council/Chancellery. This allows it to respond more quickly if the High Council or Chancellor proves unavailable or otherwise compromised.
National Goals: Integrate colonies further, whether through full state membership or otherwise finding a way to keep hold of them. Perhaps expand colonies slightly.
National Issues: The question of South African and Australian Independence/Membership in the Union; the question of corruption in the NDA and its branches.
National Figures of Interest: Adrian Mikaelsen, a known proponent of the Unionist Movement; a movement that wishes to not only force membership upon the colonies, but expand those colonies further.
National Ambition/Aspirations: Total unity, expansion of colonies.
History: The Union of Nordic States finds its beginnings at the turn of the century, the year 1800. That is when the Union was founded, but more as a treaty and agreement between the various independent Scandinavian/Nordic states to help themselves not only remain independent, but in times of war or otherwise. At this time, the High Council was the only branch of 'government,' and it simply legislated on trade agreements and other economic issues that the Union faced. However, as time went on, and trade increased understanding and want for unity among the Nordic people, while decreasing the language barrier... that changed.
In the year of 1840, the Union of Nordic States proposed something to its various member states - which because of increasing Scandinavism (pro-unity movements) managed to pass nigh-unanimously - and that was the creation of an official federal government. A Constitution was drafted, and eventually accepted by the various member states. The Parliament of States was formed, primarily the House of Representatives, and the High Council formed the position of the Chancellery. The Nordic Defense Association grew in power and strength as its funding increased, and it became the de facto - and eventually de jure - military of the UNS.
The Union's first major debate was in 1853; the question of whether Newfoundland, South Africa, and Australia belonged to Denmark, a member-state, or to the Union as a whole for governorship. Eventually, it was decided by the Colonial Bill of 1855 that the Union would govern all colonies of Nordic States, and eventually those colonies would become States themselves if they so wished it. The Union of Nordic States has been mostly at peace for the last few decades, but it has a strong focus on military because the UNS wishes to not only expand its colonies, but defend itself from any imperialist forces which would try to invade it.
The Union of Nordic States stands strong in the year of 1900, and looks to a future in which it is much stronger.
