Much to the trade convoy's dismay, they would be kindly informed that the Island of Okinawa it self would not fall under the direct Rule of the Shogun of Tokyo, rather while still being a territory of Japan, they would actually fall under Parcian Control (think Honk Kong and the British) As evidence to this, the diplomats would be pointed to the Parcian Governor situated at the small armed fort that also held the small squadron of 5 armed Schooners and 150 Parcian Army troops.

The "Bai ren" The portly man spoke too would not be Anglish, to his misfortune, rather a Parcian Merchantman, one Roberto Clemencia II, who answered in a equally drunken tone. "Better then the pisswater your Ilk brews, Chinamen." He would be a young merchantmen, with only a few small ships under his command but having his wealth built upon a family legacy of wealth. He carried a Modello 1850 revolver on his hip.

Shocked at the man’s reply, Lei slammed his fist into the table and stood up with his men watching. The force knocking the table a enough to topple a few drinks and the screech of his stool clumsily falling over. His flushed faces revealed bloodshot eyes, and now the blood circulation flowing cause the alchohol to take full effect in impairing his speech and motor skills. He waddled to Roberto’s table placing his hands down and approaching his face, studying the revolver and turning to make eye contact.

His thick accent rolling out his words in a hushed but firm tone, “then you wont mind me...” reaching to snatch the Parcian’s cup, he accidently tips it knocking it over to spill onto the man. Disregarding his mistake however he cheekily sneers and simply says “oops...”. Maintaining his proximity into Roberto’s space.

The diplomat however would make way to the Parcian fort to commune with the Romans to discuss establishing consistent trade between the two nations. Surprised that the Japanese were subject to alternative rule, this would surely be in the report to the convent heads. The trade front was unaware of this change and need be informed.

He would wear a traditional Sailor's garb, rather quaint and bland, with the exception of his coat. It would be a standard Parican Greatcoat, that of old Imperial tradition and would none other then the same Coat Clemencia the first wore during the colonial war, and the battle of Gibraltar it self. This would cause a rage to form in the young man, and in a swift motion, drew the revolver, lodge the barrel under the fat man's chin, and snarl. "I have killed men for touching this coat, and now you spill...bloody rice wine on it..."

The 4 other men at his table, officers under his commend, each drew their own revolvers. The room would go quiet with the drawing of guns, with the waitresses hiding in the kitchen, and the bar keep to reach for the hidden Shotgun he kept under the counter.

The sargent being the only one with an issued pistol, he straightens up and stumbles a half step backwards placing his hand on his own revolver, a model 3. The 3 other tables of men hoist their rifles up and point to the men. For a brief moment the parcians would be outnumbered until the silence was broken by a single shot. As the alien began to approach the town, her appearance would draw much attention. Adult Anubians usually stand between 6-8 Feet Tall on average, while a man was around 5'7. The bright green eyes were a trait that stuck out rather sharply in the community, as much of the inhabitants have Gold or Violet eyes, with the rare sight of a Light Gray eye colour. Many of the inhabitants would take the opportunity to take a look at the gem as she approached, but otherwise paid not much attention by the adults, assuming her to be a Human passing through the settlement. The Pups of the settlement are significantly more curious that the adults, as they would stop from their current activities to approach and take a closer look at the Gem before being brought back to their home by their respective parental figure(s).

In the centre of the establishment there was a wide open area roughly circular in shape, where much of the "social gathering" appears to occur in this area. The natives appear to stay within a large group of around 10-12, where they partake in various activities, whether it be some of the games involving some form of physical activity or simply conversing with each other, a "Pack mentality" is prevalent among what can be perceived as friend groups within the beings.

Out of curiosity, and with her general mission of sorts to do exactly such, she decides to approach and view the games. Genuinely curious, not just out of her mission to watch, as well: The society she comes from doesn't have any physical activity for her type of gemstone, notably because their race don't need any physical activity, as well as how she's not any kind of warrior, leaving her to be quite amused at whatever games they played, as well as deciphering what they spoke with their records of languages in the areas. And to lower suspicions to herself, she dictated her notes in a quiet tone in their language, to keep it so she was looking a lot less...alien.

The smallest of the three leads them ahead, with the two much larger ones shifting into robes from head to toe as before, but the smaller one, dollike in size, and decides to stray away a bit, with the two others keeping watch on her.

Hoh Xil is a beautiful and beautiful settlement on the outskirts of western Qinghai, the high plateus of Shen China and surrounded by beautiful large lakes and a bustling town-city thats just quite minimal to the central based mega cities. The new standard school is filled with both middle and upper class children who enrolled in the convent reformed educational program.

Pi Ar was a small boy compared to the rest of the kids, and his parents farmers who work the centralized plots. They had saved money to purchase his school uniform and supplies but due to the segregated nature of society, it was well known where young Pi Ar’s roots came from. On his walk home after school he was alone on the rudimentary road where a small gang of the older kids waited in ambush to chuck rocks and call him names.

“Stick boy and porridge” were the nicknames given to him because of his upbringing. When the rocks descended he attempted to shield himself until a medium sized pebble clobbered him upside the left of his forehead and he crouched down in agony. Cutting slightly and bleeding a bit he cletched his head until the kids circles him chanting “Hong Zhou” (red porridge) over and over. He bolted to make a run for it through the tall grass field where the bullies pursued. After his dash, little Pi Ar would trip over a branch hidden within the grass and fall only to be concealed by the brush. The bullies spent the better half of 20 minutes calling out “qu nar, xiao pi”, where are you little pi?!

In pain and afraid of what they might do, he was frozen and decided not to move from his hiding place. Not until he was sure they got bored and left, Pi Ar waited a whole 2 hours in stillness before standing up. The slight breeze and motion of grass blowing in the wind... it was just him. He would walk off of the roadside along the thicket alone, kicking grass aside in misplaced anger... why didnt he have friends like the other kids? Why was he alone? ... or so he thought.

After that commotion had been done and over with, the two larger gems hide away as best as they can from anyone's view. This let the smallest of the three, only 2 feet tall, to slowly step on over and follow the badly beaten boy. He must have some issue if he had been dealt with so harshly. She kept to following him about a few feet away, hiding around the brush to not get spotted. But however, after a little while, she begun reading off the language and how to speak it, her gem intellect pretty much allowing her to absorb the info. "How...are you?" She said it aloud, but not directly asking him. However, it most likely would have gotten his attention, being at least audible and in his own language.

The men took it the only way they thought the could take it. The portly man launched him self at Roberto, his larger mass knocking him off his feet. He held his grip on his gun though as the man tried to wrestle it from his grip. Roberto was not as gentlemanly as his father, and like most real men, he fought dirty. He brought his knee up and slammed it in to the man's crotch twice, then slammed his own forehead in to the Sergeant's. Then, using the weight of the revolver, he pistol whipped the fat man over the head.

Meanwhile, his men did what they saw as a natural response. In drunken pride, they knew their captain could handle the pig of a man for now, and so 2 of the three flipped the table on its side and promptly returned fire, using the quick rate of fire and 9 round capacity of the guns to good use, while the third man slummed behind the table, his shoulder bleeding.

The barkeep, having kept track of who fire first, drew and leveled that large bore double barrel shotgun on the Chinamen and fire both buckshot shells in to the group before ducking behind the counter to reload. "This fourth time you shoot up my bar, Clemencia, you pay for it this time!" The man yelled out in broken Parcian. The shooting would cause the people outside to scatter, with a boy running off towards the police station.

The Okinawa police were an odd Sort of constable. Dressing in the traditional garb of the now defunct Samurai class, as many of them were once Samurai, they toted their swords along side a revolver and a billy club, with the pistol being show in their belts, while the club replaced the traditional Wakizashi in placement. A squad of the police were notified by the boy and came running down the street.

The one that has drawn the most interest out of the locals is to the right, where it appears there is a dedicated area for the game. Two "packs" of the canids appear to be participating, as they look to be separated by different coloured clothing for each pack. They appear to be chasing after and kicking a medium sized ball made out of a dense material wrapped in animal hide and twine, where the objective appears to be to hit a member of the opposing team with the ball. Once that happens, the ball is under the control of the team who was just hit, but it can be kicked away from the individual targeted by the punter in an act of defence. On the side a scorekeeper can be seen watching the ball and placing down a tally mark whenever an individual is hit. The score cap would seem to be in a base ten numbering system unlike the others on earth. Despite the painful appearance of this game, it draws much laughter and playful shouts from those involved in the game. There are quite a few onlookers who are either cheering or simply watching for entertainment.

Quickly describing the said activity in quite the exact detailed manner, due to having no honest understanding it, she begins to approach and enter further into the group of spectators, quite curious on, well, how'd they feel around her, as she moves a hand to her head to adjust her hood. "Interesting people, interesting training... Is watching these trainings a normal patriotic act for the denizens to know of their power?"

The individual in question would look quite confused on the gem's statement, switching their view from the sport to the Gem from time to time.
"This isn't training, my friend. It's simply a game! We watch and play Pyr for the enjoyment of the sport. If we'd want to prove our strength to each other, we'd do so by seeing who can acquire the most kills in a hunt or who can lift one of those stone slabs used for housing the longest"
The crowd would be a mix of excitement and leisurely observance, as those closest to the court would be standing up and actively jumping and shouting in the mood of the sport, while those farther back would be sitting on the ground and discussing with others, taking a look at the score or the teams from time to time.

She watched on with the sport, acting like all she said was perfectly normal. To her, it was. Meanwhile, away from the researcher in Egypt and such, and the small visiting party nearby in Qingnan, another pod begins to streak through, viewing the oceans below it, flowing over the seas, a few hundred feet in the air: around it, light distorted off, allowing it to blend nicely into the sky around it: however, the noticible distorting would, well, be able to be noticed by anyone with a keen enough eye. Seas seem clear, life all about... However, it seems that there's someone in the oncoming vicinity, as the pod slowly moves across the air, with at least the pilot keeping note of the ship up north.

Southern Togeria
The regions of Togerian have always shown to be at least somewhat influenced by their neighbors. The northwest being more Germanic, the South east and west being more Romantic. However, the biggest influences to the old nation and young republic have been its neighbors within Iberia and the Deutschland.

Recent extensions to the Togerian rail line south have seen a revitalization in many old towns of yesteryear, seeing an internal cultural exchange between the northern city folk and Agrarian southerners. This has been welcomed by many especially those within coastal cities Marseilles and Pierreux.

Vase Art
The southern and central regions of Togeria often prized by the inhabitants for their unique arts and craftsmanship have seen a resurgence. Within the city of Pierreux a new style has been adopted by some craftsmen for the design of their vases. Abandoning old styles of painting they look to use the soft clay of the vase itself as their canvas, to use the process itself as paint and to create new eye popping designs before painting. Some designs below:

City Developments
Within Antoineville a professor known as Edward Nuageaux as published a set of papers known as the "The Study of Structure", a brief paper detailing a family he had the privileged of staying with for a year. Within in he talks about his time within the Autonomous Vakhétat. Spending time with a local Vakhtali family he noticed their unique familial structure and more importantly what he believed to be a better emotional support system as compared to his home province of Jayau-de-Aeriz.

Taking such studies he's decided to open a small office within the city of Antoineville, one of the most industrial cities within Togeria and Europe, and notable for many crimes and frequent worker strife. It is also notable for the largest Plan-de-Acier, with often overcrowded living accommodations, and lastly one of the most multicultural cities within Europe. Often said to home at least one person from around the world. In order to test his theory, Edward looks to open his office to try and give the people of the city positive, constructive, and reinforceful support. Often in sessions where he talks to the person or within a group of five.

Accompanied by a group of colleagues they name their office the "Centre d'Secour".

Pierreux
On the opposite spectrum the city of Pierreux today as of March/4/1873 have voted to ban the teaching of Charles Darwin's "Theory of Evolution". Stating that such teachings go against religious tolerance within the constitution and as quoted by Mayor Trombe:

"In its very nature teaches our young to go against the beliefs of our fair republic in encouraging a radical and militant agnostic stance against religion.

Joyame
As testing of the Joyame continues a notable Arcane specialist Richard Nuageux, has made an observation within the Joyame. Noting that it requires the energy of living organisms to power the jewel he has come up with the hypothesis that any creature or being with a living essence can power the jewel, and as such avoid such measures as siphoning the energy from the populace. As such he has began to conduct test upon a series of objects ranging from a living tree, dog, bear, elephant, woman, grass, river, cannabis, and gecko.

Flag Change
As the flag of Togeria flies around the world in every corner so does the ideals of the republic. Brought on by a vote from the Legislature and approved by the Executive, a flag design contest has been opened to citizens of the Republic. Their only qualifications being that they're either citizens of the Mainland or Verranzia.

The Offer is gratefully accepted by the Royal Government, as the offered resources are in increasing demand by the Empire, and re building the relationship between Parcia and Egypt is seem as something that can promote a peaceful Mediterranean.

The Privateer Frigates are quick to be spotted by the Cypriot-Levant Fleet, which was currently conducting drills with the newly added Torpedo Boats and Protected Cruisers recently launched from the Dockyards of Aegyptus, as 4 Armoured Frigates are sent off to intercept the Avestanian Ships, believing them to be Frigates of their Own that exited the drill outside of higher command. As the Egyptian Ships begin to approach, the crew keep a steady eye on the Avestanian Frigates as the grow larger on the horizon, some features appearing distinct compared to the rest of the fleet on these rogue ships.
Arabia
The Two Great Empire of the East have been cold to each other for centuries, leading to a significant military presence in the Border Area of Arabia from both sides. The Vulnerability of the Egyptian Territories in the Levant and Arabia has led to a great build up of defensive capacities along the border of Avestan, and a number of military personnel stationed well over double that of the entire Egyptian military in the early 19th century. From Cyprus to the edges of Egyptian Arabia, the total combined Defensive Assets and Personnel add up to 700,000 out of the 2.3 Million total Egyptian Guard individuals. The Stationed Personnel are associated with the Eastern Army Group which encompasses territory east of the Sinai up to Cyprus, and are divided between Cypriot-Levant and Arabian Nomes as follows: Within the Arabian Defences there are approximately 300,000 Personnel stationed, and within the Cypriot-Levant Defences there are 400,000 Individuals stationed within the territory.

The Sheer number stationed within the Eastern Territories has been a hot topic of discussion for quite some time within the ministries of the Royal Government, but due to the war scare of the early 19th Century, and the fact that Avestan has been and is the only land-based threat to Egypt for quite some time has resulted in the debates to be calmed for the time being. Due to this fact, extensive defensive measures have been constructed over the decades of fragile peace on the borders of Egypt and Avestan, as they are routinely patrolled and manned through sun rise and sun down.

Under the late afternoon sun of Arabia, various scouts along the border watch the Avestanian Armies perform their movements, thought to be the regular "performance" the Avestanian Military regularly execute along the borders, anxiously awaiting the call to action.

The privateer ships, seeing the others approach, begin to raise signal flags requesting aid, and men on the decks start to run about frantically, acting as if something has gone horribly wrong. Below the deck, privateers begin to ready weapons for close combat and boarding action, boarding spikes being readied for fire as well.

All over Avestan, from the North to the South, the border forces simply ready and await the signal to begin the land invasion, making sure everything is ready and in place. The Aegean and Red Sea Fleets continue on course, the Aegean fleet moving towards Cyprus and the Red Sea Fleet to prepare the Blockade. They make sure to keep their distance from patrols and coastlines as well, while the distraction begins to unfold. Soon the time will come for the full strike, but for now all forces bide their time for the optimal moment.

In the East, the incursion by the visitors to the pass had not gone unnoticed. This place had become one of the few remaining havens for outlaws, deserters, bandits, and rebels in all of Avestan, and they cared little for unwanted visitors. Reports had already come in to the "Bandit King" of Kulma Pass from concealed observation posts, and a plan had been devised.

"We'll head them off here." he gestured to a location on the map. "The Avestanians have driven us all the way across the country, and this is our last refuge. I'm not about to let someone else take it from us either. We're going to show them what we're made of, men, and we're going to make them realize that ours is not the most profitable place to be butting into. Jamshed, Rustam, Dozan, and Ferzan, take your men up the sides of the pass and get your marksmen in position. Bring up the bombs with you and wait for the signal. Hevraz, Merxas, meet up with the scouts and hide yourselves in the valley itself. Don't attack the intruders, you know what to do. Shaho, and Yadgar, take the horsemen up the front. That leaves Zorav to make the introduction. Are we all clear?"

The bandit leaders mumbled their affirmatives.
"Then get to it! I expect to be ahead of them, and above all else, don't let them get dug in or we'll never be free of them!"

Avestanian Boarder, Former Balkans Federation

With the recent acquisition of the lands of the Former Balkans Federation, the USP has been quick to fully claim and fortify its new lands, as well as bringing the new modern commendations to the rather...strange natives. Due to their heritage, and the good will between the former DBF and the Republic, their ways and magics have been allowed to remain as is with little change.

The major port cities and naval foundries of the BDF, more importantly the Port city of "Split" (Look it up, its in Croatia), were the famed Kraken was built, as well as its mysterious bigger brother. None the less, the machinery, both conventional and Magical, is converted for use in proper ship building and its talented and skilled craftsmen are put to work designing a new type of ship, one that would, if worked out correctly, could prove to revolutionize Naval warfare.

All in all, 45,000 men would be deployed to the Former DBF, mostly combat engineers and standard infantry to help build and modernize the ancient lands,a s well as to begin the construction of a new line of boarder fortifications to ward off possible incursions.

Imperial Arsenal, Rome

The Black gift of Acerbez has, after many years of twisting and reforming, been turned in to a usable, weaponized toxin that, when deployed, would cause mass damage to those it is used on. Using it magical properties, the Gas is turned from one meant to cause insanity, to one that simply kills...painfully. Mean to imitate the Black Death, by way of causing boils and blackened skin, the toxin is found to cause excruciating pain as it also eats away at the lungs of its victims. A means of deployment have also been found: A specialized version of the 102mm shell used in the M65/73 Beretta multi-purpose Artillery gun. The shell would be made of a rather thin layer of brass, meant to burst on impact, spreading the sickly green gas in a set area. Due to the possibility of wind conditions, the gas is designed to linger in an area, being just lighter then air.

The Black Shells are, for now, kept a highly guarded secret, with the small stores of pre-production units being stored at St. Mortiz.

[TL;DR ]
DBF lands begin fortification and modernization
Captures expansive and sprawling naval foundries and production centers
Started producing "Black Shells"

Pi Ar and the little emerald fairy

treading through the thicket for some time, Pi Ar's hearing lowered to pick up the sound of the surrounding environment. The breeze, the blowing grass, and the suddenly in "Qinghai-Hua", the dialect of the region "How... are you"? The tone of the sentence was a bit offset and quaint to hear. But immediately assuming it was someone Pi didn't want to see, he turned around and crouched. Waiting a few moments to look up, the grass quite tall but the breeze spread out enough to make out a shiny blue girl. His eye's widened in astonishment! Never having seen anybody look so... "weird" before in his life- and her features were clearly not Shen-Chinese.

He stood up and hadn't noticed the 2 larger gems tucked away. The bleeding had ceased and dried leaving only a thin line of hardened blood only a few cm long down his face. Perhaps one of the few times he was larger than somebody else- atleast who wasnt clearly a toddler. He pointed down at the gem and said "You don't say "Ni hao ma" first. (How Are you)... First you have to say hello... (Just Ni Hao). i will say hello back thennn you ask how am i." He said in a lecturing tone thoroughly enunciating the "Then". He stared briefly and dropped his arms to his shoulders and looked up at the sky, "Im ok..." letting out a small sigh. He began to walk slowly towards the gem cautiously, leaving his small school bag behind. "You're... Are you even Chinese??" he questioned. "Ni Kan Qilai yi ge "Cui Xiannu" (You look like an emerald fairy). He sat down but a few steps away from the gem in the grass to better look at the Gem closely.

Waiting around for the bullies, time had flew by and dusk was upon them...

The Hanoi Incident

Liu Fei was aboard "SDS Cao Ren" monitor among a convoy of merchant vessels, in his cabin alone rehearsing his "Guqin" or Chinese slide guitar. This was customary of most upper officials who took great pride in understanding music, and most if not all Officials in Shen-China knew their way around one instrument or another. The Vice-Chancellor being a re-known Guzheng Harpist.

Mid-Day the the ship's sentry would take notice of the 2 Togerian armored trade-ships upon their arrival to Hanoi's port, Hamlet and Arc.
In a Guangdong Accent he exclaimed "Ni dou ah! Togerians spotted here in the port!" The call would echo throughout the ship and another servicemen would burst into the cabin, unaware of Liu Fei's wrath when interrupted. "SIR! There's Toge-" abruptly cut off, Liu Fei speedily grabbed a cup from nearby and slung it at the man whilst still seated with his instrument laid against him, clanking against the wall. "I AM BUSY, YOU IDIOT!" Suddenly another Serviceman would be near the door saying something about Togerians to another quite loudly. Flushed and angered, Liu Fei shoved past the first man and stepped onto the deck to see the Togerian Jacks blowing in the wind into port. Having held his own sentiments on the trade front and his own involvement with attempting to best the Togerian's in the Asian Pacific, his eyes gleemed at the opportunity to harass the elves. Strutting down the deck he commanded the security garrison aboard a call to assembly, to prepare a security check of the Togerian Vessels.

To finagle and irritate the Togerians, Liu Fei planned to stall them out from docking and unloading on schedule- as was protocol for the Dominion to undermine their trade efforts. Standing at the bow and clearly out of cannon range, he ordered the turret mounted cannon to fire low and intentionally miss; but allowing the spinning cannon ball to skim across the water. As a show of force and blunder despite being outnumbered, the Singled SDS Cao Ren and the 2 armored trade boats.

Using the ship horn to communicate across the distance, with no knowledge of the Togerian language he commanded purely in Chinese firstly and then in a broken english. His harsh accent echoing across the water. "HALT! TOGERIAN TRADE VESSELS. UNDER THE COVENANT AUTHORITY OF THE SHEN DOMINION , YOU ARE TO SUBMIT YOUR VESSEL TO UNDERGO SEARCH BEFORE DOCKING AND UNLOADING". He looked to the men on deck and nodded, today they would be boarding Togerian ships- Certain they would submit to the boarding and investigation of their cargo.

The Okinawa Incident

The frail soldier who fired took the shot directly to the stomach with enough force to flip him head first into the ground, dropping like a bad habit. After the bar keep took his shot, the other soldiers followed suit in flipping the table for cover. 2 of the soldiers unfortunately would take hits from the firing Parcians. The first taking to much time to drop into cover would take a skimming bullet on the outside of his neck non-fatally wounding him but bad enough to cause hysteria in the 2 men beside him and the second taking a hit through the table itself, splintering the wood and piercing the left of his back below the shoulder blade.

Sargent Lei was a brawler sure, but no man takes to blows to the balls and feels the same. After the 2 hits his face flushed further red, unknown to Roberto however, Lei was also a head-butter and his frame complimented it. Like 2 rocks cracking together with nothing but a bounce, their foreheads recoiled. Lei weighing down Roberto's wrist but unable to move from the cheap shots, he let out a lurching "Urgh" and spit up saliva onto the floor next to Roberto ear. Lei was a portly man, and idling on top of Roberto to gain his second wind would take moments. The Ascending pain from groin to stomach was abrupt and the adrenaline would take over shortly, and after it did he kept his left arm and hand on Roberto's right arm/hand and jolted up wards to bring down and crushing elbow across Roberto's face.

Behind one of the tables, outcries could be heard. "ZHANG! ZHANG!" one man yelled. Zhang would be holding his neck with one hand and his eyes attempting to glare at his wound despite it being physically impossible. "Wai Min, you have to run back to the Ship! You have to get the others!" the soldier drunkenly yelled while shaking the unhurt soldier. Wai Min leered at Zhang's wound and Zhang's eyes. Panic. Both object and observer were frightened. "ZOU BA!" (GO NOW). Wai Min nodded ferociously, and looked to another soldier behind the table who gestured for them to both make a break together to get help. So the both stood up and jolted for the door. The 1 soldier attended to the Shang and attempted to comfort him, Propping the soldier up and sitting behind him with his Rifle aimed at the bar while the other wounded man rolled over from the flipped table and let of a round into the Parcian's make-shift barricade along with the remaining 3 soldiers from the last and farthest table. 1 Soldier, drunk as piss thought he would pull a move on the Parcians by not firing and waiting for a hand or head to poke out and take a drunk shot at whatever moved from behind... Beer goggle focus, waiting to..... CRACK!.

Kulma Pass

Advancing after the completion of the fort on the Shen side, the 58th would advance to rendezvous with the 2 reconnaissance teams sent out in the mid way to determine the length of the Pass. Both groups treading along opposite ends and breaking apart in any paths to search for water sources or anything of the like within the mountains. The right hand group would fall back in distance compared to the left group due to the discovery of a lake within the mountains somewhat nearer to the beginning of the pass (The Corner Lake) would be relayed back to Colonel Tiang Wei by 3 men, leaving the other 7 to continue to tread a bit further. Upon recieiving word from the men, the Colonel devised alternative measures. Water supplies from both Xinjian and this lake would be used in case difficulties arise from either source, an addition fort will begin constructing and they will make camp in the ridge of the mountains here until the completion of this fort. Colonel Tiang Wei was a patient man and no word from ahead of any problems have come back. The plan was now to fortify the Shen-end, the lake, a bit ahead in the middle with an outpost to send communication back and forth, and lastly the opening into the "West-land".

The engineers would begin construction at the lake side, the majority of the artillery detachment would remain at the Shen side fort along with the 200 men stationed until further notice, bringing along only the 2 "9cm" cannons. The infantry would be stationed up front with the cavalry at the rear. Sentries would post on the ground in groups of 3 and on the mountain sides with "Gong alarms" should anything happen.

The Left group advancing far beyond the other recon group would make considerable headway through the 80km pass, Unaware of the lake discovery and how far ahead they were. 6 men trailing through the valley while the other 4 traversed the mountain side. Hailing from Xinjian, they were well capable of traversing mountains and their expertise in hunting and climbing complimented their ability to conceal themselves. However, going days without contact, the valley walkers would get careless while the mountain walkers trailed a bit far behind. They were nearing the ending quarter of the pass. The 4 mountaineers would make camp behind in the mountains above over-seeing the valley, ready to break back to the main contingent should something happen while the valley men would simultaneously watch above and await the go-ahead on the day to day. The Valley men would continue, eyes vigilant but rather careless of their own detection while the mountaineers were better suited to spotting anything with an almost bird's eye view of the valley and direct vision of the sides. The Right sight Recon would cover back ground and make their way towards the Left group, a full day behind.

Accidentally having misspoke aloud the words she was testing in her head, she had paused and went silent for quite a moment, staring at the boy before he finally looked to her, where she took a step back, not wanting to be well noticed. The details to mostly note, was her weird hairstyle, the hairtie that seemed to be attached to it by a cling, and the quite ornate dress; she looked like a small doll made for a young girl in the west, especially one that was quite rich: because under one of her eyes, a tiny gemstone in a teardrop shape laid right on it.

But now, he had noticed her, and begun to ask quite a bit of questions. Best to respond now and avoid conflict with the locals. It's a kid, after all. Gaining back her inner posture, she felt much more jovial, and gave him a nod. "Hello! I believe I already did say how are you, so... We'll skip that part. I, am an Aquamarine...fairy, I guess if that's what you call gems here. I do know an Emerald, but that's not the main thing here. What is, is that you look pretty hurt. Whatever happened to you, boy?"

Pi Ar’s eyebrow raised up, “Aqua...Marine? So you live at the lakes??” He began to scratch the back of his head. “Well... i got banged with a rock you see. The other kids, they dont really like me. I was walking home and... bang! Right in my head” he said with a saddened face. Lightly kicking the ground, he muttered “its cuz my family are farmers...”

Taking notice to her surreal features however and the shine of her “skin” and how smooth it looked. Pi Ar was young, but he wasnt stupid. This was not a toy...

“Where are gems from? I only know Shen-China and Anglia. Is there like... Gem-China? Or Gem-lia?” He let out a small giggle, rehearsing Gem-lia. Most chinese have never seen a foreigner before, and know very little of other than what is taught at school.

The sun began to set and the sky pink-orange in the highlands, unknown to the young boy and the gem was the fact that there were others coming in their direction. 2 groups, one some what near and one far. Catching sight of the boy’s head in the grass, 4 men were creeping towards him slowly from the side. The second group not close enough to appear yet.

Meanwhile, besides the 4 men ready to pounce, there were watchers watching the other watchers: the Topazes begin to move on after the ones they could see, ready to defend at least their superior gem, and in return, the boy as well.

An Alien?? What... is an Alien? “Errr... im sorry. I dont know where or what that is.” Having beliefs in astronomy and planets was something for the older folk of Shen-China, but even then for the most part “Aliens” were a foreign concept. If she would have said spirit or something similar then the boy would understand, and in reality he was already thinking of her to be one. “Dont worry... nobody really talks to me except my mama and baba... and popo. But shes crazy! Haha... i wont tell anybody. What’s your name? My name is Pi Ar! Im 11 years ol-“.

One of the men pounced on Pi Ar, snatching him from the thicket. “You talking to yourself, you little shit?! Hahaha” the man exclaimed. The second man would walk up from the grass and kneel down and say “Wheres your family, little one? We wanna get home and your gonna help us. Just point the wa-“. “Holyyyyyyy shiiii, look at that!” The 3 chinese man noticed the small gem but the stillness of it and texture made him believe it was a real doll. “This kid must be loaded to have a toy like this!” Pi Ar began kicking and yelling. The 3 men began to approach what they believed to be a doll while the man restraining Pi struggled with the squirmy youth. “We gotta hurry up before the seers catch up to us! They wont take us back to working on that damn wall, they’ll make us one of the Ba-ren or something worse!”

The men were wearing a tattered get up, but a singular common uniform clearly. Unaware of the other gems or the liveliness of the Aqua, the escapees meant to ransom Pi, but now they thought they’d make a fortune off of this little doll.

Tibet was the neighboring region, and the high wall hadnt been completed yet. Life committed prisoners were the only residents of the neighbour region and these 4 had escaped and were running for their lives. The seers- the Kaoda monks, never let anyone go after a life sentence and would be on their trail.

One of the man reached out to grab the Aqua and then.....

Quickly pulling the tie from her hair, she snaps it like a whip, causing it to go straight like a wand, and aiming it to their direction. All of the group, even Pi Ar, were caught into a stasis, and slowly lifted. "Quite rude to interrupt a lady like that, talking to a young gentleman of sort. Unhand him, and I won't have you sent into space like the dusty vagrants you are."

And now, the two Topazes begin to arise from the brush, the two other aliens standing around 9 feet tall, still covered by the robes. However, they both raise a hand to the sides of their head, as two large, heavy maces with giant, golden gemstones for the blunt part are summoned, beginning to move behind Aquamarine to aid her in dealing with the thieves.

The closest man frozen but his mouth let out an unnaturally piercing scream despite being a full grown man, in the distance it could be heard. His eyes huge, he stuttered “W-w-what the F*#%!!” Being in mid stasis however, the subduer was unable to let Pi Ar go, the young boy silent just staring at the gem. The first time somebody was actually around to stick up for him.

The Topaz’s cloaked figures spawning Maces added to the dread of the convicts, one wetting himself while frozen, his eyes staring below at his own wet pants. Another man closed his eyes, praying for the first time in ages, as prayer was useless in the Tibet Penal Region, he had hoped that somehow prayer would abate these mystical beings assuming they were some sort of super naturals.

“PLEASE! we- we didnt know!” One man begged. Unfortunately the last man had pulled a make shift knife just before getting frozen making the pleading seem disenguine. Then at the that fleeting moment an odd call from a creature in the distance was heard. Kong! Kong! Kong! 3 full grown Velociraptors, larger than men were calling into the air with 2 men mounted on 2 others. The eve couldnt conceal their palid skin complexion which stuck out like white light in the darkening horizon. The Kaoda monks were only across the field. The raptors beginning to take off towards the group.

Lowering the group, the Aquamarine spawn a little pair of wings and hover upward, and on over atop one of the Topazes' heads. "Now, as I have no intent on harming any organics purposely today, you get a free ticket away from being clobbered and tossed into the atmosphere. I bet your constables here riding on those mounts can help you into a nicer place then here, okay?" The Topazes walk up to the thieves, and pulls Pi Ar out of their grasps, freeing him of the violent criminals. The others in stasis are stuck floating there until those approaching monks say otherwise.

The Kaoda seers were of lower standing compared to the other houses. Typically seers play the role of the 2nd class to the higher ranks. Similar in appearance and attitude nonetheless, the seers too doused their skin in the cosmetic ointment that decays the skin to give a “pleasingly grim” appearance and maintained a chalky white glow of the skin. The Kaoda’s eyes were black beads resembling tiger eye while the raptors orbs were enormous and en goldened. The stared at the frozen convicts and then shifted to the gems, especially the two Topaz, with their maces in hand.

The tracking raptors approached the convicts, blowing through their nostrils and clicking at the men. They surrounded the farther isolated man standing, his eyes were ripe with fear as a tear rolled down his face. “Ah no, please! I’ll go back to work, i swear it. It wasn’t m-“. One of the Seers made a clicking noise with his tounge to the roof of his mouth and the raptors perked up towards the man. “NO! I DIDN- ARGHHHHHHH!!” He screamed in anguish as one of the raptors pounced on him with its taloned feet, veiling his face with its razor sharp teeth. The others diving on to partake in the meal. “They need to eat.” one of the seers stated in a much different dialect of Chinese. Pi Ar covered his eyes with his arm, overwhelmed never having seen such a savage event unfold.

The other 3 men began to shutter, the man who wet himself weeping. The second seer, appearing a bit more decorated then the speaker observed the gems with his peircing eyes. Pulling his shouldered rifle down but rested near his lap. The sound of flesh and sinew being ripped apart in the background. The speaker clicking again in a different tone, causing the raptors to cease their devouring and turn to attention. The raptors were blackened green scale, with red feathers atop their heads, while the 2 larger mounts were more purpleish scale. The trackers began to call, Kong... Kong. Clearly dissatisfied with the small meal.

“You... ” The overseer would say with a hiss like voice and pointing to the Gems with his sharp blackened elongated nails. The other would ready his rifle. “Magic...?” The overseer said in a questioning manner.

Two Bridges:
The island of Saint Joan separated by a large lake fed into by the river Seine has now been connected by two twin bridges. Connecting the island to the full territory of Aeriz and the mainland:

The twin bridges are called the Tour d'Roi (King's Bridge).

Aeriz State Fair
The bridges both taking an estimated 20yrs in construction due to both financial and legislative difficulties were unveiled in the starting exhibit of the semi-national Aeriz State Fair. Among many of the exhibits was one featuring a unique technique of mimicking live like movement via cleverly placed drawings and lighting.

Hooked by a machine that rapidly spins a series of photographs are shown each slightly different than the other, a light shined from a torch being directed through a special room and shining on slight holes in the machine, illuminating the drawings and in combination with the rapidly moving machine give the drawings movement.

The inventor Jacqui Larmes d'Etoiles (her name neaning Jacqui Tears of the Stars). Taking roughly two years of near constant and dedicated drawing, Jacqui was able to draft enough drawings to create a roughly 30min story, taking time in between each wind up of the machine and switching the photographs to create a small "mobile novel" in which she titles:
l'Conducteur

A simple story of a conductor of a man named Peu who becomes a conductor of a train named the Envie de la Lune( Envy of the Moon). After a bet with a fellow conductor named Nappe, Peu looks to fly his train into the moon. Making a wish the night before on a shooting star a map flows down from the night sky and lands on his lap. Showing a route of a train track that leads to a cliff called the Fée Express. The next day traveling along the track, Peu's train increases in speed before each hour before meeting the end of the track (The ride taking 12 hours). On the twelvth hour the train finally crosses the Fée flying into the air before traveling to the moon, the last show being of Nappe looking at the train flying over Aeriz.

"Well, for all intentions and thoughts about the matter, I believe that you can say that. However, I'll do make this clear: whatever you try, and especially with those beasts, will call down the wrath of the... gods from above. So don't, unless you want me and this one to really make you feeling quite the amount of pain after you click your tongues at us." She turns the wand to them, cracking it to the side a bit to toss the men away with some momentum.

The Topazes, however, still cloaked in their garbs, grab each others hands tightly. Not out of any sense of fear or anxiety, but however, of a technique. They begin to lightly glow gold, as they squeeze together to become one Topaz, doubling her already human-dwarfing height. Respawning the mace, it had become one giant two sided mace, spinning it about in her hands, moving as fast as a windmill in gale force winds. "As I said." The Aquamarine reminds the seers. "Try it and we'll end you." She already has it aimed to grip each of them in a giant stasis wave, readying to slaughter.
