The order is given to allow no survivors, as the need for secrecy in the Flotilla's actions is high. As for as the Germans go, Parcia has yet to enter the war.
The Northern boarder is reinforced considerably, and for the first time in decades, all trade flawing north is stopped and rerouted, with only a single city, Keskmect, just south of Budapest, remaining open. The rangers on the Volkstradi boarder patrols are pulled back and replaced with regimental militiamen. With the extra men from the various small ranger units formed up in to one force, a column of 3,000 men march north.
A call is put out across the land: All artisans, craftsmen, bakers, stone masons, blacksmiths and workers of all types are called to produce more resources for the nation and her army, with a promise of decreased taxation for the time being.
The Army of 34,000 marching north arrive at their destination: Salzburg, right on the boarder between the new German Reich, and the Imperium. The group makes camp for a single night, as the commissioned General Marius Voltaire plans his course of action. His first target lay just down the road: Freilassing. From here, one to Munich the army would march. It contained roughly 23, 15 pounder long guns, modified naval cannon used for long range, siege warfare, 38 10 Pounder field guns, and 11 3 pounder field guns, totaling 72 guns. The Force was due to be reinforced by a unit of 2300 mounted troops in the morning, with that and the supply train fallowing close behind, he would be set to regain the glory of his great Empire.

With no direct land access to anyone other than Anglia, and with a relatively small strategic area of water surrounding it, they would be easy to starve out and harass in the event of the war. Strategically speaking, Wales was simply a larger version of Liverpool. Thus, the Admiralty set in motion a plan to aggressively blockade Wales while also ensuring that no retaliation comes by sea from Ireland or Scotland should they decide to intervene. This blockade will consist of three layers of vessels:
The layer closest to the coast of Wales will harass and prevent Welsh merchanmen from reaching any destination, essentially holding the entire maritime trade of Wales hostage in return for their submission to being an Anglian vassal. In the event of war (which the Admiralty deemed likely), this naval blockade layer was to provide shore bombardment where necessary, and would also be reinforced with marine detachments to seize Welsh naval craft and invade certain areas of the coast to allow for support of land units.
The intermediate layer would have the most vessels within it and would act as the supply line for the outer layers as well as a reserve force in case any one area of the blockade required reinforcement.
The outer layer would be the first line of defense should an Irish or Scottish fleet move against Anglian vessels.
With this plan in mind, the Admiralty mobilizes the required firepower, and leaves the rest of the military to approve a land invasion plan of Wales. Meanwhile, a formal request is sent to the Welsh leadership asking them to terminate any military or special economic relationship they have with Scotland and Ireland, and to instead prefer to trade and make alliances with Anglia.
Never,
King Rees.

In the face of a growing blockade the Welsh kingdom debated its options, though smaller than the Kingdom of Anglia the geography of the nation allowed for harsh mountain terrain that when utilized correctly at the very worst at least slow down the Anglians enough for them to abandon their campaigns. Ships not in the way of the blockade were returned to their harbors and then those harbors destroyed seemingly in a fit of ill will against their likely attackers. Further warships were scrapped themselves, the wood being used to develop fences to defend the city of Cardiff, while the King of Wales himself would move to the more easily defended city of Newtown which to the west was surrounded by the expansive Welsh mountains and hills leaving only point of attack along the border with Anglia.
The cannons from the warships would be placed along inland within forts and mountain passages to slow down the incoming Anglians. The population of 587,000 were informed of the looming threat as weapons were handed and merchants informed of the blockade, trade with Anglians cut off and supplies rerouted to the urban centers and cities.
The Welsh flag was to be flown at full mast in all cities to be seen as a sign of solidarity and culturalism against the threats of the east, the only flags allowed under them being from the Kingdom of Scotland.
Lastly the king having received the letter would immediately banish the English messenger from his lands and simply write back to the Anglian prince,Never,
King Rees.

The Vakhtali ships are already arrayed in a curved line around the city themselves, their broadsides facing outward. The ships take the incoming shots and through the screaming and smoke a number of sailors are joyously smiling; finally, their salt has been tested in the scopes of not just a true battle, but one of the largest sea battles in history. The Vakhtali ships surprisingly stay in line, letting the French tear at their rigging and sails. Infact under enemy fire brave sailors climb up to furl their sails and take down the rigging to minimize the damage.
Though they may be immobile, the fleet concentrates on unleashing raw firepower. The entire broadside of the 73 ships unleashes their cannon, all aiming at the French sails, rigging, and masts. Thousands of cannon fire in a staggered line; every projectile fire is chainshot, specially designed to rip apart enemy ships' masts and rigging.
From within the city, thousands climb onto the walls to witness the cataclysmic battle taking place below.
A convoy of a dozen thick-hulled barques, emblazoned with the flag of Spain and the Spanish cross upon their sails, departs from Broekvaal harbor, seemingly spooked by the actual outbreak of hostilities. They throw up naval flags signalling "please let pass; trade convoy; wish to depart before battle."

He came on behalf of orders from the Shahanshah, as his armies marched close behind him.
