Nah, no need yet. The Imperium does comparably little external trade in sheer scale.

Shame... what are you? Some renaissance country?

Hah. Kinda. It is more a matter of the scale of the Imperial economy as compared to the states/polities around it. Take the example of, say, the Roman Empire and Judea. Trade with Rome may make up most of Judea's merchantile economy, but trade to Judea makes up a relatively minor part of Rome's economy.

I know, using metals and stuff severely limits a economies potential... :(

*shrug*

If another large economy to trade with starts developing, I may bother with paper money. As it is much of the Imperium's trade is conducted with comparatively primitive polities, so having hard metal currency lends faith to the system and expedited trade links.

Fairly fluidly, within reason. Stick to a low timescale per-post (a month or so maximum), and there are large multi-decade timeskips that will come down the pike from me upon occasion.

No idea. The Imperium has a developed police system in the Tower of Law and the Lawkeepers/Fatebinders, so there's that in its favor, and it is still a fairly nascent economy with uncommonly good ID tracking and recidivism policies. But I'm not an expert on crime and punishment, so I can't really speak to the matter.

Oh, and Skarten? I'm going to unfortunately be returning to that question it seems I've been asking you all RP: how is all that Yaroshima is doing being accomplished? How is he motivating the villagers to spend the hours or days searching for copper ore that would be necessary to forge tools? How are these tools helping with rice farming in a significant way? How is Yaroshima converting the villagers to Christianity? (Just quoting a book they've never read at them, even if it is accurate, is unlikely to bear fruit.)

That's one of the most important parts of this RP, description of the how. I'm going to need you to start doing it.

Aw nuts. Well, don't worry too much about it. I'll just retcon your character, and you can rejoin when you feel up to it again.

The other way around, actually. A Fatebinder is combination of a fanatically loyal domestic security agent, areligious inquisitor, and judge. They interpret the Common Law where its meaning might be lost to an untrained mind, seek out wrongdoers of a high caliber like the heads of smuggling rings or murderers, and prescribe punishment. In the pursuit of their duties they are entrusted with the full faith of the Imperium, able to command any man from the lowest citizen to a Brightlord, and the punishments they mete our range from fines, corporal punishment, imprisonment, or even summary execution.

Needless to say there are few men or women who hold such a powerful position, but those who do pursue the rule of law with a zeal that is unmatched.

More commonly large cities or regions will have a band of Lawkeepers who operate out of a courthouse, rounding up common criminals, aiding the Greycloaks in putting down banditry or lawlessness, and investigating malicious sweetroll theft. They are less militantly inclined than Greycloaks, more of community liaisons and detectives than military police, but vital to maintaining the public peace in larger settlements.

Still wonder how the Imperium view Ego other than pagan force that must be subjugated.
