You can have stryker or Quill meet you halfway, and confirm that you are the one they were supposed to be looking for. (If the Vanguard reached out to you, they would have told you where to go, and would be waiting for you.)

You could always appoint others to handle CADMUS if you got too much going on. Cruxa volunteered...

I am going to stick with it for the moment with the attack. The vanguard are going to get a new home, and then we can start having more of a mission-esque atmosphere.

Slow the kill just a bit with the mutants. Most of the vanguard have been trained to use their powers. They won't go down as easy as untrained mutants or humans.
