Name: Valarr "The Feeble"
House: Targaryen
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Titles: None
House Seat: None
Personal Sigil:
Image

Allegiance paid to: House Targaryen
Appearance (Picture appreciated):
Image

Personality: An ambitious man, Valarr has always seeks to improve where his father failed. Valarr feels the need to prove his worth to his House, and wants to become a warrior in the same area as Duncan the Tall and Aemon The Dragonknight. Valarr is also a very honorable person, and hopes to prove his worth by helping quell the rebellion.
Skills:
  • Trained Fighter-Valarr has been trained in the art of combat by Willem Darry and is currently squiring under Rhaegar. Valarr has yet to defeat Rhaegar in a duel.
  • Helmet Smiting-Valarr knows how to create some excellent helmets, and has been comissioned by many knights and warriors.
Weaponry (If any): Castle forged straight sword, dirk.
Military Strength (How many men can your lands call upon, eg. The Reach could likely muster 100,000 men.): None
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Born to Duncan "The Small" and Jenny of Oldstones a few months before the Tragedy at Sumerhall that would claim both of their lives. When Valarr was born, a white comet was reported flying over but was seen for a minute.

Valarr like his father, Valarr was disinherited from the Iron Throne. However, Aegon V embraced the child and allowed him to remain in the Red Keep. Eventually, later that same year the Tragedy at Summerhall took place killing his parents. Valarr was saved due to the efforts of Ser Duncan The Tall. Following the tragic event, Valarr continued to grow up in the Red Keep, however Valarr was a very weak child and many mocked him in the royal court. He would gain the nickname, "The Feeble". Once Valarr had reached the age of eight and ten, Valarr traveled with Lord Steffon Baratheon on his travels to Essos. At their stop at Tyrosh, Valarr decided to remain and would return to Westeros at a later time. In Tyrosh, Valarr learned many things such as helmet smiting. Here he created a great Dragon helmet for himself, as well as dyed his hair blue. Once word had reached him of Steffon's death, Valarr returned to King's Landing where he was ridiculed by Aerys for not assisting Lord Steffon. In the next year, Valarr would be taken under Rhaegar's wing as his squire and would become a good friend. On many occasions did Rhaegar offer to knight Valarr, yet he continues to refuse until he has reached a martial prowess worthy of a knight.

Several days before the tourney at Harrenhal, Valarr decided to make his own personal sigil. He made the Targaryen sigil blue, and added a shooting star. At the Tourney of Harrenhal, Valarr would partake in the jousting, but in the first bout was defeated by Rhaegar who would go on to win the Tourney. Valarr would also dance with Ashara Dayne, but failed to court her. Valarr returned home to King's Landing where he joined the Gold Cloaks, hoping to learn some experience, which he remained in for the rest of the year.

Now, with word of Jon Arryn and Robert's Rebellion Valarr has been recalled by Aerys to the Red Keep. What he has planned for him, only the Mad King knows.

I'll throw in my custom house as well. Either in the Riverlands or Crownlands.

Edit: Or Vale.. or West.. tbh, I'm not sure. Custom House somewhere in the middle portion of the Kingdom...

Edit2: Vale/Riverlands area. South of the Bloody Gates along the High Road.

House Name: Bloodfyre
House Sigil:
Image

House Words: The Darkest Flame
Allegiance Paid to: Arryn
House Seat (Map location required, picture of Castle/town appreciated): Dragonspire, Mountains of the Moon
Approx Number of military at command: 3000
History of the House: The House finds its origins during the reign of Aegon IV. One of his lesser bastards, a man whom his mother named Aegon, after his father, was born as a bastard of Aegon IV and a woman of House Royce. Upon his father's death, and subsequent legitimization of all his bastards, Aegon took the name Bloodfyre as a surname and removed himself from any possible chance to claim his father's lands or titles. He watched his siblings fight over the throne and wanted none of it. Instead, serving as a knight in the Vale and eventually being granted a valley in the southern part of the Mountains of the Moon. He would build a simple tower there before his death. His successive children and grandchildren would eventually raise a larger keep until the modern castle was being constructed.

While incomplete, the castle is well enough built to live in and function as a full castle. The last tower being put up will still take several years to complete, but upon its completion the original plan was to start work on a new iron mine in a nearby mountain to supplement the wealth of the valley which the house holds as its own. The fertility of the valley shows as it is able to provide both for the castle as well as for the nearby villages with some left over to sell at market.

The current inhabitants of the castle include the Young Lord Ixidor Bloodfyre and his siblings, Naerys, Artys, Rhaenys, and Aryca. The death of Ixidor's father, Daemon, came only two years ago when he and his lady wife were slain alongside their guard en route to the Eyrie to visit Lord Paramount Jon Arryn. Ixidor was not married, nor were any of his siblings betrothed. He felt that the mission his father was on was to have his daughter, Aryca, betrothed to Denys the Daring. Shortly after, Denys would marry a member of House Arryn and then be named as Jon's heir apparent. Ixidor was watching as his family had for a century and decided it was time to take action.

If this is accepted, I'll make character apps for the family.

Name: Ixidor Bloodfyre
House: House Bloodfyre
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Titles: Lord of The Dragonspire, Lord Bloodfyre
House: House Bloodfyre
House Seat: The Dragonspire, Southern Mountains of the Moon.
House Sigil:
Image

Allegiance paid to: House Arryn
Appearance (Picture appreciated): Lord Ixidor Bloodfyre
Personality: Ambitious and Proud, Ixidor knows of his family's roots and wishes to put them to use somehow. He is however, a bit over confident in his abilities despite lack of experience.
Skills: Good Warrior - Can stand toe to toe with most foes for a significant period of time
Great Strategist - Has studied military strategy and can formulate plans on a campaign wide level
Good Tactician - Can exploit weaknesses in enemy formations, can protect his own men from being overrun by a superior foe
Decent Diplomat - Extensive military training has left much to be wanted regarding diplomatic skills
Average Administrator - Can do the basics required to keep his family affairs in order, should he not be otherwise distracted

Weaponry (If any): Castle Forged Steel Longsword and Shield, Lance and Shield, or Longsword and shortsword.
Military Strength: 3000 men( 50 Knights (can be mounted), 650 Men-at-arms (200 can be mounted), 2300 levies. Weapons for those levies to be 70% spear, 30% archer)
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Born to Lord Daemon Bloodfyre and his wife, a member of House Corbray in the year 257 AC. The castle was just starting new renovations again. It was the third time the family was adding to their castle. They were prospering and the birth of a new heir sent Daemon's younger brother, Aenys, to the wall. Their other brother, Aenar, had gone to the Citadel when he turned 14. As Ixidor grew up, he corresponded with his Uncles. As his siblings were born, he was being taught how to run the family castle and after the birth of his second sister, his mother suddenly died. A fever took her in the night, within a few years, his father married again.

This woman despised him, she was a member of a merchant family somehow related to the extinct House Reyne. She gave birth to a daughter, however, the birth left her barren and too weak to give birth again. Training for Ixidor's martial prowess continued, however, his calling was soon found to be his intelligence for military strategy and became an expert on military strategy and aided his father in planning the defenses of the castle's new renovations. Two years ago, Daemon and his wife were on their way to meet with Jon Arryn and his two wards. They were, however, set upon by members of the Moon Brothers Mountain Clan. Ixidor led several expeditions into the mountains and burned down several mountain clan villages in revenge. His brother, Artys, also aided in the last few raids leading him to be knighted as well.

The lands have now grown dark with a possible Civil War with Jon Arryn's wards being the center of it all. Unsure as to what he should do, Ixidor has chosen to bide his time. His castle's position near the High Road leading up to the Bloody Gate would be a boon to whichever side he took. Additionally, his castle could easily permit him from sending his troops into the Riverlands to aid either side. He had a very important decision before him, one that could very well shape the future of his house.

RP Example: House app accepted previously
Notes: Other Character apps

Name: Artys Bloodfyre
House: House Bloodfyre
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Titles: Ser, Heir of the Dragonspire
House: Bloodfyre
House Seat: The Dragonspire
House Sigil:
Image

Allegiance paid to: House Bloodfyre
Appearance (Picture appreciated): Artys Bloodfyre
Personality: Artys is straightforward and militant. He enjoys combat and is a great warrior. He has little patience for long winded speeches, though himself is fairly well read.
Skills: Excellent Warrior: One of the best knights in the Vale
Poor Strategist: Too impatient to be able to plan a campaign or battle
Poor Administrator: He is not permitted to even sniff around the financial affairs of House Bloodfyre
Poor Diplomat: Too impatient to hold talks instead preferring combat
Fair Tactician: While poor in planning, his instincts are very well tuned into battle and he knows when and where to fight an enemy on the field of battle.
Weaponry (If any): Steel Longsword and Shield, Lance and Shield
Military Strength: 5 Men-at-arms
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): The second son born, and third child, born to Daemon Bloodfyre. Artys was named for the legendary Andal Hero who founded the Arryn Dynasty. While Artys has proven to be as skilled of a warrior as the legendary king, the rest of his skills have been found lacking. As a boy he was mean and often bullied others. It wasn't until some time later that he would find that the best life for him would be in service to his own family. He poured his entire being into becoming a great knight. This never came until after his father's death however.

Joining his brother in the fight against the Mountain Clans, Artys proved time after time that his skill with a sword and lance were top tier, a contender for best in the Vale. However, his mistakes while leading proved how his brother could not trust him to lead independent missions and thus, was given the task of commanding a flank or charging with the cavalry. Even after Ixidor returned to the Dragonspire, Artys continued to fight the mountain clans with a few other knights and men-at-arms from the castle. This eventually created a zone in which the mountain clans did not go and permitted the peasants living there a sense of security. He has recently been called back to the Dragonspire by Ixidor to discuss something of family importance.

Name: Naerys Bloodfyre
House: House Bloodfyre
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Titles: Lady of the Dragonspire
House: Bloodfyre
House Seat: the Dragonspire
House Sigil:
Image

Allegiance paid to: (Eg. Bolton's to Starks, Starks to Targaryens)
Appearance (Picture appreciated): Naerys Bloodfyre
Personality: Kind and compassionate, she has a charming aura about her that can only get people to work together.
Skills:Excellent Administrator - Highly skilled administrator of the family assets
Abyssmal Warrior - Zero military training
Great Diplomat - Her natural charm combined with a bit of experience negotiating with merchants has given her confidence in her own diplomatic ability
Average Logistican - While not the best at coordinating supplies across the landscape, her compassion prevents her from turning a blind eye to the various villages and the region prospers due to crop sharing between villages and the castle ensuring that there is rarely a shortage.
Good Spymaster - She maintains a network of informants in the southern vale and mouth of the trident.
Military Strength: 2 Sworn Shields
Biography: Born three years after Ixidor, Naerys quickly became a favorite among the people of the castle and its surrounding villages. As she grew up, her beauty became a bit more well known and there were several merchant princes seeking her hand in exchange for a large sum of money, something her father Daemon needed to continue adding to the nearly continual building projects he was starting on the castle in which they lived. However, he denied all of them, he had a more ambitious plan. While going to put that plan into effect, he and his second wife were ambushed by Mountain Clansmen and were slain.

Naerys was left behind at the Dragonspire while Ixidor and Artys went to attack the various mountain clans they could find. For the better part of a year she was the oldest member of House Bloodfyre at the castle. She was crucial in keeping her sister Rhaenys at the castle to aid in its defense. Two months after her brothers left the castle, she was rewarded when Rhaenys was able to lead a siege defense and then rally the men-at-arms of the castle to rout the mountain clans besieging them.
Once she heard that the King called for the heads of Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon, she knew there would be a major war. She sought her brother's ear to try and reach out to both sides to come to a compromise.

Name: Rhaenys Bloodfyre
House: House Bloodfyre
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Titles: Lady of the Dragonspire
House: House Bloodfyre
House Seat: the Dragonspire
House Sigil:
Image

Allegiance paid to: House Bloodfyre
Appearance (Picture appreciated): Rhaenys Bloodfyre
Personality: Loyal and Dutiful. Rhaenys has a more martial education than her older Sister Naerys. She does however have a short temper.
Skills: Good Warrior - She learned to fight with sword and shield as well as the bow
Good Quartermaster- Experience with a siege has taught Rhaenys how to properly arm and maintain a fighting force
Poor Diplomat - Her short temper makes it very difficult for her to reach any compromise with someone she does not have a common goal with.
Poor Administrator - Her martial education and short temper prevent her from being a successful administrator, but she has some knowledge due to her experience as a quarter master.
Weaponry (If any): Longsword and Shield, Longbow
Military Strength: 2 Sworn Shields.
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Rhaenys was born into the world on a bed covered in blood. Her mother, not minutes after giving birth to her,
died. Her father, saddened by this, did not blame her or hate her for it. The beautiful girl was named Rhaenys, it was the couple's fourth child and second daughter.
Rhaenys grew up without her mother, however, she did have a mother. A common woman, the daughter of a merchantman out of Lannisport. He claimed he was a bastard of House Reyne, but there was no proof of it aside from the hair of him and his daughter being the particular red the Reynes had. Regardless, this woman helped to raise Rhaenys.

As she grew older, Rhaenys learned what happened to her mother and how she came to have a new mother a few years later. She pressed herself into learning to be loyal to the family that she feels she had broken, and to this day remains dutiful to whatever the house needs done. She learned to fight with sword and shield as well as the bow. Her father, while at first nervous about it, saw that it made her happy and that she was becoming rather good at it as well, and thus: he permitted it.
As the years passed and Rhaenys grew older, she was as much a warrior as either of her brothers and once her father died she wanted to go and get revenge with her brothers. However, she was convinced by Naerys to remain at the Dragonspire.

A couple months into the campaign against the mountain clans, a large host of clansmen arrived at the Dragonspire. Rhaenys commanded the defense so spectacularly,
the men within the castle even followed her out one night to rout the encampment saving the castle and ridding the region of a major host of clansmen. Upon her brother's return the men notified him of what she did and he promised he would do everything he could to keep her around the Dragonspire for as long as she wished.
The family reunion was cut short after news that King Aerys called for the heads of both Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon, wards of Jon Arryn. Rhaenys looked to Ixidor to make the decision. She was loyal to her House, but her house owed loyalty to both the Targaryens and the Arryns and it was up to Ixidor to decide.

Name: Aryca Bloodfyre
House: House Bloodfyre
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Titles: Lady of the Dragonspire
House: House Bloodfyre
House Seat: the Dragonspire
House Sigil:
Image

Allegiance paid to: House Bloodfyre
Appearance: Aryca Bloodfyre
Personality: Shy and introverted. Prefers to spend her time alone. She is however, very knowledgeable and often spends time in the Castle Library or with the Maester.
Skills: Good Historian - She has learned a great deal from the histories and is nearly an expert on many subjects
Fair Administrator - She has been learning to handle the financial side of running a castle and estate from Naerys
Fair Diplomat - she has read some treaties and how each side compromised to reach an agreement
Abysmal Warrior - Never showing interest in the Martial education Rhaenys took up, Aryca never has learned to fight with sword or bow
Poor Spymaster - despite having a small network of friends in surrounding villages, they usually send messages regarding which book they just read instead of information useful to a lord of a castle
Poor Maester - No where near the skill of a trained maester, but she knows how to read, write, and even how to handle the castle ravens
Weaponry (If any): none
Military Strength: 2 Sworn Shields, typically dismissed by Aryca. Considered the easiest job in the Dragonspire
Biography: Aryca is the only child born of Daemon's second marriage. She was left out of a great deal when she was young, being only a half-sibling to the other Bloodfyre family members. She was also too young to be of much help after her parents died, since then she has done everything she can to learn and become more useful to the family. However, her two sisters only see her as part Bloodfyre, not a full member of the family. Ixidor, her oldest brother, views her as if she were still a baby. Only Artys seems to have any respect for her. While he does not care for the learning she is fond of, he seems to wish to keep her safe and generally supports everything she wants to do.

Her favorite activities, to her sisters, seems to be brooding about the castle ignoring everyone else. She is in fact reading many of the books that the Maester has in his possession. She became so interested in the Ravens following her parent's murder that Maester Oswain has trained her how to handle the ravens and to act as an assistant if she wishes to.

Now, however, she awaits Ixidor's decision like the rest of the family on the recent events. She has been reading the Ravens and knows that the realm is about to break out into a major civil war once again. She has already tried talking to Ixidor about it and he only said, "I will take your thoughts into consideration sister."

I had all of the sisters done, as well as the Artys Bio.. then I hit the damnable red X

I'll redo them tomorrow..

Sisters are essentially as follows: Also for my own reference.

Naerys: age 22, admin/spymaster. Level headed of the group. Black Hair, Purple Eyes.
Rhaenys: age 18, last of Lady Corbray's children. Loyal and dutiful. Martial daughter, protected keep during her brother's revenge spree. Silver Hair, Purple Eyes.
Aryca: age 14, youngest of the family. Intelligent and very knowledgeable regarding a variety of topics. Only daughter of Merchant class wife of Daemon. Possible connection to House Reyne. Red Hair, Blue Eyes.

Edit: Completed!

Personality: Roose Bolton is a cunning and sly man, relatively unknown by the people. He himself once said, ”You are mistaken. It is not good. No tales were ever told of me. Do you think I would be sitting here if it were otherwise? Your amusements are your own, I will not chide you on that count, but you must be more discreet. A peaceful land, a quiet people. That has always been my rule. Make it yours” He takes up an incredibly Machiavellian approach to his governance, ruling through fear and cunning, rather than the devotion of his people.
Skills: Roose Bolton is a quiet and sinister man, with a knowledge of intrigue both on the battlefield and at court - He administers effectively from the shadows and has a very low tolerance for dissent, making him incredibly efficient in more administrative tasks.
Weaponry: He wields a standard castle-forged steel longsword, nothing overly special.
Military Strength: 4,500 Men - With the Boltons as one of House Stark's more powerful vassals.
Biography: Roose Bolton’s history is often clouded, he’s known to have wed twice prior to Robert’s rebellion, once to Bethany Ryswell with whom he’s had a child named Domeric, who’s currently incredibly young and currently residing with his mother's family, the Ryswells - later, on the brink of the war, Roose had his second son, a bastard named Ramsay. (I’m struggling to find additional information about Roose prior to Robert’s ascension and the Clash of Kings).
RP Example: Recent example.
Notes: Ramsay Snow, Domeric Bolton & Bethany Bolton.

Not a co-OP, but I think it looks fine. I do think that the OP had preset the North to a total of 45,000 men though.

House Name: Clipper
House Sigil:
Image

House Words: Holding On
Allegiance Paid to: Karstarks, to Starks
House Seat: The southernmost tip of the Grey Cliffs, Now imagine it much more in pristine condition and more covered in snow, and boom, Cliffside.
Approx Number of military at command: 100 men, and a single large boat.
History of the House: The house's lore states, that a cynical Andal, just before the invasion, was driven out of Andalos by some zealots, and on the way to Westeros on some Braavosi boat, a storm struck, and he was thrown to the sea. The black haired tall man would wash up by the Grey Cliffs, and hid for some time in a cave, eating and savouring what nutrients the crabs and other shelled edibles that he could find near his humble abode. The man would then, a bag of large crabs on his back, visit the nearby villages, selling crabs, and getting enough money for tools to expand his cave. The Andal set to work, building himself an underground castle. He would get married to a beautiful village youth, and have numerous children, who helped him expand his home and his crab business. Then, Andals!

The Andal Invasion gave him an opportunity to get the Grey Cliffs under him through faithful service, and that he did, hoarding up his gold and using that gold to support the King, Theon "the Hungry Wolf" Stark. Buying a small sellsword company, he joined the main army and went to battle. Victory after victory was won, with his small force usually raiding enemy supply lines and giving the supplies to the army. His sellsword company of 1,200 then met a Andal force of 2,500 while they were raiding a supply line, and this was where he showed his brilliance. This was occuring when they were raiding the Andal mainland, and using the slightly forested hillside, he managed to entice the enemy to move into the woods, where he made hit-and-runs on the enemy, eventually depleting them, then he crushed them thoroughly.

After the war, the king granted him the Grey Cliffs, and made him a Lord(Count(I like calling those Lordships such as Karhold High Lordships)). Now with enough funds, he began building a castle to call his own, and after he finished it, he called it Cliffside. Four towers dotted the edges of the castle, which was on where the man made his business of crabs, a cliff beginning to turn into a stack, as it was cut off from the main body of the cliffs by a marshy valley full of all sorts of creatures, like crabs. The small valley would be flooded on the daily during high tide, and so the castle was connected to the main area by a stone bridge. His old cave, now a sprawling underground bunker, and whose lower layers were flooded during high tide, were turned into the castle's sewage and dungeon. Prisoners would be chained to the ground, in a chamber. The water would be as high as their necks, and so they were contained in feces and bacteria infested waters up to their necks, their life was not guaranteed. The upper layers were turned into kitchens, servant's and lord's quarters, as well as storage and war rooms, this was to ensure total security of the ruler and servants in a siege, there were also exits to the sea that could be used via boat as to escape. The top was the council and court room, plus the barracks.

The founder's name is not known, but he was called by his alias "The Cliffman", the house's name was "Cliffer", but changed to "Clipper" over the centuries.

Fast forward to the founding of Karl's Hold and the High Lordship of Karl's Hold under Karlon Stark, Lord Clint Clipper was put under Karlon as a vassal, and they have been loyal to them ever since. Clint had a reputation as a builder, and this is evidenced by his expansions of the underground network, where they began building more rooms and mines to extract the small amount of resources in the cliffs. As Cliffside was a center of the local crab trade, a small town formed, at the time of Clint's rule, it was already a good sized town. As it was built on a large level area on the cliffs near the sea, it was called Seaspray.

Another fast forward, this time to today, we have Lord Carl Clipper, a young lad of 18, and already showing considerable strategic talent as well as proficiency in administration as well as some experience in intrigue. Already has the Lord have an heir and spare, with his male twins, Lothar and Craig Clipper, with Lothar heir apparent.

Due to my need to do something, I'm going to try and fill in a map of westeros a bit better for the thread.. and then if I feel like wasting another week I'll get the map out of the AGOT mod for Crusader Kings and create separate borders for each territory so that it can be used to show territory exchanging hands.
