Due to my need to do something, I'm going to try and fill in a map of westeros a bit better for the thread.. and then if I feel like wasting another week I'll get the map out of the AGOT mod for Crusader Kings and create separate borders for each territory so that it can be used to show territory exchanging hands.

Going to add a custom app to my application for House Bolton, I always prefer to have more than one character going in more than one place, just so I can keep my posting up.

Approx Number of military at command: Total: Two hundred and fifty. One hundred and fifty men at arms, fifty longbowmen and fifty light-cavalrymen.

History of the House: The History of House Clarifont finds its roots way back during the Andal invasion - coming across with them, landing among the first waves of settlers. Their dynasty has bred generations of skilled fighters, even before they arrived on our shores. And their name finds its origins in a story from their initial arrival, it’s said that where the Clarifort now stands was once a small pond with water of the highest clarity, hence the Clari and they’d built one of the first Septs to the seven right beside it, it was at this Sept that the Clarifonts took it upon themselves to replace the fonts on oil lamps regularly, as to ensure that the Sept never sat in darkness. And from that, derived the name Clari (clear water) font (oil lamp). It’s said that they took up this role for generations and during the numerous conflicts between the First Nen and the Andals, many of them were raised into their local lords’ armies to fight.

Around three, perhaps four generations later, one of their ranks were Knighted by a Septon for his righteous and noble conduct during a war between the Dusklands and the surrounding territories and were given permission, as well as some funding to establish a small manor on the grounds that they tended to. Then, in the following decades, they built up the Clarifort. And when the Targaryens arrived, they were among the first to make contact, and rather than wait for the Hoare’s to surrender, or as they would later be, burned alive. They bent the knee to Aegon and his sisters. And in exchange, they allowed them to maintain their title, raising them from Landed Knights to full members of the lesser nobility. Ever since, they’ve stood loyal to House Targaryen and fought bravely alongside them, even in their darker moments. Including now, as the Mad King’s depravity and tyranny reaches its worst.

Name: Lanard Clarifont.

Age: Twenty-Four.

Gender: Male.

Titles: Lord of the Clarifort.

Allegiance paid to: House Targaryen.

Appearance: As per.

Personality: Lanard is a fair and Just man, he believes in the rightful line of succession and although he’s totally disgusted and repulsed by the actions of Mad King Aerys, he swore an oath to stand by and to protect House Targaryen, until his death. He’s also known for his sense of kindness, although he’s far from wealthy by noble standards, he does have more than most and does his part for the little people. Making sure that the ancient sept which inhabits their land is well maintained and that the granaries are always as full as possible. Even as a young boy, he showed these virtues and now, as lord of Clarifort, he’s only become more pious and caring, especially for those in his inner circle.

Skills: Although an excellent swordsman, talented administrator and small-scale commander, he lacks the head for large-scale battle doctrine and for commanding larger armies, believing that a commander should know all of his men, makes it difficult to command men in their thousands. He also struggles with courtly intrigue, not having a mind for scheming himself, generally just joining or following the schemes of others instead.

Weaponry: A castle-forged steel longsword and a steel dagger, both with beautiful steel decorations - passed down for almost seven generations. He also keeps a longbow and a few javelins in his home as to allow him to enjoy the occasional hunt.

Military Strength: Total: Two hundred and fifty. One hundred and fifty men at arms, fifty longbowmen and fifty light-cavalrymen.

Biography: Lanard was born into a time of relative peace to his father Mercer and mother Elissa, Elissa being the daughter of a Crownlander Knight of rather little significant and one of the few minor-nobles willing to marry into the Clarifonts. As they were known for little more than their loyalty - having no real prestigious titles or feats to speak of. He was fortunate enough to live in the shadows of the wider public and to receive a relatively decent education - his father having used their family's funds and lands wisely to generate revenue and to create contacts in the free cities willing to do trade. Shipping extra grain, maize and the likes to cities across the Narrow Sea and to King’s Landing. While utilizing his contacts to get silks at a cheaper price from the free-cities, only to sell them off at a significantly inflated price in King’s Landing or other major settlements.

He took up the seat of the Clarifort at only Twenty-Two after his father perished due to poor-health. But he was quick to take up the role, as his father had often left many tasks to him while he was off on business trips or attending feasts. From the moment he’d come of age, he’d been announced as his father’s designated regent for such times, knowing that sooner or later, Lanard would need to take up the seat, whether he liked it or not. And he’d much rather perish in the knowledge that Lanard had some experience, rather than none.

Notes: Most likely a few minor supporting characters will appear, such as a Septon, Maester and things like that. He also has a sister, slightly younger than himself at twenty-one named Laura.

Personality: Laura’s gentle by nature, as is expected of most women of high-birth in the Crownlands. She’s highly family orientated by nature and devoted to her household, doing anything she can to support her Brother’s reign. And has a strong appeal among the common folk due to her soft-spokenness and beauty.

Skills: Laura has a sharp mind and an incredible aptitude for business and general courtly administration. Though lacking in combat and scheming abilities, she makes up for it in her talented fields. Her soft touch often leading people to underestimate her in negotiations. A mistake they soon come to realise when she’s leaving with more coin than she probably should.

Weaponry: She keeps a small dagger on her at all times, gifted to her by her mother for personal protection, in the knowledge that - the King’s road, or any road for that matter, isn’t exactly safe for women. And that should her escort ever be overwhelmed, she may need to defend herself.

Biography: Just like her brother, Laura was brought up without too much attention from outsiders, coming from a rather insignificant family in the larger picture. Meaning she could keep her attention nearly entirely on her studies, without too many requests for their presence at feasts or courtly meetings. But unlike her brother, her teachings went more into things like business, administrating the household and surrounding properties, caring for children and various activities of that kind. Given the more in-depth approach to her education in these fields, and her being there when their father had left Lanard in charge, she was often delegated tasks by her brother, who saw the potential in her and wished to utilize it to the best of his abilities.

Because of this recognition, the duo grew incredibly close in their younger years and as they grew up, their bonds only grew. Following the death of their father, she’s been quick to take up a key role in the governance of their minor territories. Tending to take up most tasks involving trade or the smooth lining of day-to-day activities.

History of the House: House Ilder was founded, like many Houses, centuries before Aegon's Conquest. The story goes that the founder of House Ilder was a lowborn First Man named Daryn whom was a keeper of ferrets for House Tully, and whom served as a secret-keeper and confidant for its younger members throughout his time with them, fell into the Green Fork while hunting with his Lord. Swept down the river, Daryn eventually found himself on a small island where the Blue Fork and Green Fork met and, thinking that he would die in front of a weirwood tree, prayed to the Old Gods to let him live; if they did, he would build a fine castle on that island, one that would stand for centuries to come.

Daryn was found not long after by his liege's hunting party, and after a significant amount of trial and error in which he was nearly killed by the river's current, he rejoined them, saving the life of the Lord Tully's son from drowning in the process. Eager to reward his faithful servant, Lord Tully agreed to give Daryn supplies, funds, and a title in order to fulfill his oath to the gods.

This oath would not be fulfilled for many years, but once it was done, Daryn took the surname Ilder, and was declared the lord of this new holding, which he dubbed "Rivendale". Never forgetting his old station, Daryn took the humble, overlooked ferret for his sigil, and set about creating a river crossing that would not be matched until House Frey was founded and the Twins built. During this time, as House Ilder gradually accumulated wealth and expanded their influence around the Blue and Green Forks, occasionally coming into conflict with neighboring Houses (such as House Darry), Daryn's descendants have shown their own steadfast loyalty toward House Tully even when the Tullys were not their liege lords. And much like their founder, and metaphorically the animal they have on their banners, they are often quite skilled with gathering and keeping information secret, preferring humility and wordplay over showiness and fighting skill-- though several knights in the family's history certainly did not lack those, either.

The Ilders, despite being relatively minor, have sided with the Tullys in every war the Riverlords have fought in, from the wars with the Stormlanders and the Ironborn, to the destruction of House Hoare in Aegon's Conquest, and throughout the nearly three hundred years of Targaryen hegemony up to now. This rebellion against the Targaryens is no different. Currently headed by Lord Godfrey, no matter the outcome the Ilders will stand by their liege lords in the fight against the Mad King or for him, whether they use swords or subterfuge to help the Tullys. They seek no reward should they be victorious, but only to do their duty-- and to one-up the Freys, whom the Ilders have grown to despise due to the Frey patriarch Walder and his descendants giving weasels a bad name in their eyes.
