Contrary to popular belief, Imperial Korea in AD never had mercantilism. So no, unless Roman and Persian merchants are incompetent, I doubt they would be hurt from trade.

In a relative terms... other nations had equally large empires. Just that Korea had more focal interest in keeping Southeast Asia their's and didn't want Europeans to have more than they already "ruined," so it fought with arms and legs for that. Other powers had their colonies spread out, but ultimately they had colonies just as large ^^

We have considered it, but Discord chats tend to kill OOC's, and not everyone has a Discord account.

There is a player who has expressed an interest in creating a state in northern Russia - Novgorod and Arkhangelsk, but without any details. It also seems unlikely that Sanabel will return with his Novgorod Russia. So for now, there is no history for Russia.

I mean, if you really want it, I could perhaps allow you to play Trebizond, but it would be uncomfortable for us. You'd be small and sandwiched between Rome and the Persian allies, and I'm not feeling all that well about allowing a state that would be like a spear piercing my Asia Minor

So Georgia and something like Novorossiya would indeed be the best.

A player expressed interest in taking the western bank of the Dniepr, but then again, he also has Czechoslovakia, so I'm inclined towards only giving him land up till the Teteriv.

If there is a German outpost in Skåne (and a Hanseatic port will be seen as a German outpost, no matter what it does), that could be a great boon to Scandinavian nationalism. Normally when I apply for Scandinavia I apply as some kind of a left-leaning social-democratic state, but a national-revanchist, autocratic Scandinavia could be interesting to roleplay as well. I certainly look forwards to it.
