"Actually the second test was figuring out what the first test was so you failed that one." Buck says grinning then laughs.

"Don't worry about that one. Anyways something you'll learn real quick if you start spending time around the Congressmen and the bureaucrats and all the Washington people is that they can just get so incredible boring! All the suits have something that they can talk on for hours on end that their own mother doesn't even care about but if you try to rush them or get them onto something important then they'll get offended, especially if they're more important than you. If you're gonna do communications in this city you've got to be able to handle the boring one way or another and whale dentistry might be the most interesting thing you have to deal with. So I tested you for how long you would last me going off topic into the completely random and useless and you stuck up through the whole thing one way or another and even humored me when I was doing it. I'll give that an A any day of the week." Buck praises.

"Now..." Buck starts to say before he is interrupted by a man quickly rushing into the room with a worried expression on his face.

"Mr. Vice President you need to turn on the television. Right now." Without waiting for an answer the man picks up the remote and turns it on quickly going from MTV to a news station where a Breaking News banner flashes over the bottom of the screen as the footage from the National March for Equality is shown live.

"Now..." Buck starts to say before he is interrupted by a man quickly rushing into the room with a worried expression on his face.

"Mr. Vice President you need to turn on the television. Right now." Without waiting for an answer the man picks up the remote and turns it on quickly going from MTV to a news station where a Breaking News banner flashes over the bottom of the screen as the footage from the National March for Equality is shown live.

Kyle turns and views the story as it unfolds across the screen, a look of grim shock and surprise plastered on his face as it is revealed things spiraled out of control. He glances at the Vice President a few times, but watches quietly, sipping his second beer.

Buck's face becomes much more serious than it had been through the interview as he leans forward with his hands pressed together and watches what is happening.

Buck stands up. "Looks like I'm needed elsewhere. One of the men can show you out, and drive you wherever you need to be. Drop off your contact information with them and someone will get back to you. Pleasure meeting you Kyle. You'll make a good part of the team."

Buck gestures to one of the Secret Service agents who follows him out the door as he makes for the reinforced car. Another comes over to wait on Kyle.

"I can't imagine." Simon said leading him inside "It helps you deal with the pressure of the job when you know just how small the world is" Simon heads straight to the Roosevelt room leading the VP, the room was a bit big for his purposes but it was free at the moment.

After another day in Congress Ella is where she usually is in the afternoons just home alone in her apartment but with the depressive mood swings that had been hitting sometimes not on her at the moment. She is still having trouble getting connected in Washington but she can tell she is making progress with Senator Alphonsey starting to be nicer to her and maybe someone who could be a friend with Senator Amaras and his children. She eagerly awaits the dinner with Alphonsey but right now she is just playing online chess on her laptop in bed passing the time when her phone chimes over on her dresser. She puts the laptop on the bed and goes over to check it.

She needs to take a minute to figure out who it is from. Ella had handed out her phone number to other Senators but does not know all of them by first names.She goes back to the laptop and after a little bit of searching decides it must be Senator Bylthe and looks at the message again.

Ella has never been horseback riding but likes the idea and is always excited to get out and try something new. She does not have any plans so she decides to accept and texts back.

That sounds great! What time? Do I need to bring anything?"

Theresa was buying some groceries when she received Ella's text and she wrote back:

"I'm very glad you like the idea! You should probably bring some comfortable clothes, snacks and water and some bug repellent. We'll meet on 1st of April at 11 am in front of the stables.

The next day Ella is dressed up in what she thinks is the best riding clothes that she has without any experience with a long sleeved shirt and jacket with a hood on top and jeans on bottom with a bum bag with the snacks and a water bottle that Theresa recommended around her waist. She had decided to spend some time that morning braiding her hair back for riding and is pleased with how it turned out. She has gotten a Lyft to get her there and after getting out takes a look around.

There aren't many people at the stables and Ella can quickly spot three people that are walking between the stable partitions scratching the horses behind the ears and chatting. Theresa is one of them, dressed in green riding suit, her insanely long hair braided into a crown braid on top of her head. She is accompanied by a solemn looking man who cannot be more different than her.His hair is combed back tidily and his mustache cut carefully and precisely. The girl is, on the other hand obviously carved in her mother's image- her hair is long, blond and wild and the first thing Ella can hear is the loud, piercing laughter reminiscent of Theresa's.

Theresa heads towards Ella waving at her and she shakes her hand:

"Hey, how are you? I love what you done with your hair! Meet my family, this is Harold and this young beauty is Harmony..."

Harold shook Ella's hand and murmured a greeting that could have as well be an expression of boredom or grumpyness if it wasn't accompanied by a handshake. The girl smiled widely and said:

"Hey, Senator Enchanted! I' am very pleased to meet you, you know. I've read your latest book and I absolutely loved it."

"Har har!" Ella puns and giggles as she shakes the hand.

"I'm so glad you liked the book! It's great to meet all of you!" She says to Harmony and then all of them.

Harmony giggles at a pun that seemed to have flew over Theresa's and Harold's head. Theresa at least smiles politely. Harmony speaks out:

"Do you like horses, Senator? I always thought they were a bit scary as a kid, but then I went riding while going through a rough patch in life and I grew to love them."

She petted one reddish brown horse affectionately.

"Oh I never got to ever be around horses. I don't think I've ever been this close before." Ella says. She very tentatively holds her hand out in the direction of one of them.

Horse snorts at Ella, but soon it extends its head towards her, tilting her sideways looking curiously at the Senator.

"Looks to me like she's interested in you." Theresa commented.
