The people of Maine stand in solidarity with the people of Dillon during this tragic time. We must make sure that Diana Noble and Alois Kramer are held accountable for their roles in the execution of what can only be described as an act of malicious violence in our President's hometown.

Following the release of the above tweet, Patton placed a call to the President's Chief of Staff, and upon his failure to answer, left the following message: "Governor, this is Governor Patton of Maine. I would like you to pass along my sincerest condolences to the President and the First Lady for all that has happened, nobody should be made to endure what he has had to withstand in recent days. I wish them well and would like to let them know that I'm praying for them."

Senator Kramer was being driven through Dillon keeping hidden in the back by the tinted windows Kramer was apprehensive about getting out at the station in fear of being mobbed.
A short while later the car stopped Kramer waited at the door for a few seconds holding back on opening the door before eventually he opened it wheeled himself to the station desk.

"I'm here to pay the bail for Dianna Noble." Kramer said directly to the bondmaster.

The bondmaster looked at Kramer with a expression of pure shock at the politician who was indirectly involved in the shooting before responding."

"If you just sign the cheque here Senator and that will pay the bail." The bondmaster said pointing to the area for Kramer to sign.

After a brief moment Kramer signed the cheque for Noble's bail.

"If you could tell Ms Noble that I will be waiting in the back of the black 2016 Chrysler 300 for me please?" Kramer asked the bondmaster.

"I will get that message to Ms Noble now Senator." The bondmaster responded.

"Much obliged." Kramer finished before wheeling himself into the back of the car again.

To her surprise, the police began to lead her out of the cell and back into freedom. It hadn't been long, a day or so. Alois Kramer had come on top, paying completely for the bail for Dianna Noble. An ecstatic grin grew on her face as she walked out of the complex. She was notified that Kramer was waiting in the back of the car, and made her way to the Chrysler. Opening the door, she burst out with these words: "You are a legend. Senator Kramer, you are a very moral and honourable man." Noble sat on the back seat, going to give him a quick hug in appreciation. "Now, I've heard rumours against me that, and I've heard that some have called for me to die. We'll show them. At her home María Antonieta finishes reaching over the glass wall to return the young rosy boa into its habitat. The guides she had been reading talked about it being important to handle them often. Clavelina was very snippy right now and María Antonieta wonders if she will grow out of it.

She goes over to read through her emails again before preparing to do her nightly prayers and go to bed. She sees a couple of emails that catch her eye and almost moves one of them that says An Invitation in the subject to spam with the way it seemed written but noticed that it said Senator and so it must have been a good spambot at least writing it and when she opens it she discovers that it is an actual email in fact and she reads it over.

María Antonieta has some personal thoughts on the categories of people who make nonprofits and name them after themselves. There is Ellen Walton and the Walton Family Foundation on one side. Then there is Calvin Reed and American Dream on the other. She thinks those examples cover the difference between the two well. But she still reads through the email.

When she finishes reading she writes back.

Reed stood on the mound of the little diamond not far outside the town, alone. It was a simple thing, without any special flair to it, a diamond cut out of the plains, dirt for the infield, prairie grass for the outfield, and some chain-link fencing behind the backstop and for the dugouts.

At the back of that fence behind the plate was a small, unassuming bronze plaque that gave the name, "Reed Park." Someone in the town had had the idea of naming it after a few years ago. A little claiming of the big MLB star, that this was the diamond where he'd gotten his start, where his teenage pitches were thrown. It had always felt a little uncomfortable to him, actually, which was strange. 'Aw, shucks' country boy or not, he had never had too much of a problem with recognition. This one though, just felt different. He didn't like the elevation back home that way. It was something he could not quite put his finger on. Being idolized as athletes were in Baltimore or in Denver seemed entirely normal to him there, just the same as they would do, and did do, for any other star. For it to happen here, or at least in this way, it just felt...it didn't feel right.

He wasn't standing here to reflect on the name, though. It was funny how coming to a place to think and remember, even with that purpose, could spiral off as it had. He had heard of the death toll, saw Rob's name, and added another mark to his conscience. Maybe it wasn't as hard a blow, with his father's death already known. Maybe it was hitting tissue that was already scarred. It didn't change things, didn't shake his foundations like losing Pa had-it just sank him a little bit further.

The two of them had done some big things here. Well, not here. No tournament was ever held at their podunk field if it could be helped. But it started here, the tryouts, the practices. No matter how much of a team sport baseball was, every play always came down to the battery. Nothing started without them, nothing finished without them, and in the years he and Rob had been that pair, they'd started something pretty great.

They had gone in different directions for college, or perhaps not so much. The same direction, different routes. It was the MLB to which they were both headed, and to the MLB that they'd both arrived.

Their stories once there were not quite the same. Reed had his first-round selection, had his call-up after a year in his team's farm, got his Rookie of the Year when he took to the mound for the first time, and then got the support of the higher-ups in the team when he came crashing down to earth in that awful second season, keeping him playing when they could have sent him packing. For Rob, he had gone in the fourth, spent four years working his way up before getting his first swing, five before finally making it to the lineup, and then was right back down again. They'd been traded in the same year, in fact. Reed's was a blockbuster, a deal that stunned the league, made headlines across the nation. Johnson had been shipped down the coast for a stack of bills.

Cal wasn't sure why he was going over their pasts like that. It certainly wasn't out of any feeling of guilt for their careers. They'd faced each other a handful of times, 2009 was the first, and they were against each other the year after, in the game where Reed passed Palmer for strikeouts. Neither of them had held anything back, neither of them expected the other to. Cal had sent him packing the three times they came up in that game, and if Rob could have gotten a hold of one of Cal's pitches and smacked it, he would have without a solitary doubt. There was nothing lost between them when they met up after that game, an off day before Cal had to fly back with the team to Boston. It was like old times, and it was like old times again when they met the next year, Johnson then a Padre, Reed then a Rockie. That would prove to be the last time they faced each other on the field, as Johnson had drifted again, to the Mets, and then the Cardinals, as Rob tried to give pitching a try, put himself back together. They'd spoken on that, actually, and Cal had given him what tips he could. No matter how good they were, though the tips couldn't keep Rob's tendons together. He tore his UCL, and it was over for him. He left the game a year before Reed would hang up his own cleats.

It wasn't guilt, then, and it wasn't regret. As well as Hernandez and Weiters had done for Reed, he would have dumped them in a moment to set up the battery with Rob again, but that was outside of his control. He didn't know what he was doing here really was, besides just a reflection.

Maybe he was wondering why it was that the road had left him standing on this mound, and left Rob lying on bier, his mourning wife and child around him. He could not decide if it was something expected, or something reversed, if Reed's successes meant that he was set for a fall, or if Johnson's tougher passage was well in line with his fate.

Success. He didn't feel like much of a success story at the moment.

He was paying for the funeral. He way paying for every funeral, actually, each of the eight victims, and the uncovered medical expenses of the two survivors. It was the least he could do. It still didn't feel like much. Sometimes the least you could do was all you could do.

Weighing the white sphere in his hand, Cal set himself. Gently, just going through the motions, he wound up, and tossed it over the plate, as he'd done so many times before on this diamond, with Rob always there to catch it.

The ball clattered against the chain-link backstop, and Reed turned and walked away.

Mae could sense that what was happening to Matteos was beyond the death of those 10 people. she thought over the past week, these past few months. he's been going through a lot of stuff in the Senate, moreso than before he actually ran for the presidency. he was a strong man, always has been and a little ruffling of feathers wouldn't do nothing to him. But lately he's been much more down, especially in regards to legislation being passed. Matteos has always been a caring guy, loved his fellow Rhode Islanders, but this wasnt always a good characteristic. he hated politicians who took money from special interests, or only followed or reinforced partisan lines. he was quick to judge and thus held standards to certain people. Reed, Fowler........ McGareth, he was already biased when they spoke due to his "care" for the people. I knew this, everybody close to him did, but they knew not to change his ways. for he was a great man, but emotions often got the best of him.

Meanwhile, after walking in the black of darkness with only a t-shirt and jeans on, Egazarian reached the Middle of Nowhere Dinner, a favorite spot of his that only locals really knew about. Despite his many years in Washington, Egazarian kept up his title as the "Bar Guy" of Exeter, part of the old "Local Bubs". When he walked inside, all the usual guys were in. No one else was.

Jack worked for the Diner during the nightshifts. He was Egazarian's best friend since freshman year in High School after the two with a few friend climbed on top of the school and dropped random items on people they didn't like. The other guys there were Tim, Jason, Wally, and Chuck. The six of them went through high school together, worked on the same farm; they were were inseparable until college came around. Only Egazarian went.

*they continued to talk for another hour, going way past the Diner's closing. it was times like these that Egazarian yearned for. to be himself, his old true self. he hated phonies and being a phony himself, but if he acted like he normally did in Washington they'd hand his ass out of Congress fast. he loved the bubs, all the adventures and times they had, and wanted to protect that. he wasnt in politics for himself, if he could have it any other way he'd own a large dairy farm. but he knew early on that things would not last as they were, so he would need to preserve it as best he can.......*
