María Antonieta runs her hands through her hair in frustration, and closes the door, again, locking it.

"Now you're just spouting nonsense. Great. Going to call-you know what, no. I don't even know what you're trying to pull, but I'm done with it."

She turns around to leave and realizes that she just locked the door. Muttering how stupid she is to herself, she unlocks it to leave.

Green walked through the halls of the Senate Office Building, carrying stuff from his fomer Office. He turned a corner to see a fuming Senator De Pena. He stared at the enraged Senator.

Green locked eyes with María Antonieta for a second and screeched, hustling down the hallway and dropping his stuff.

Overstein was just planning on discussing an agricultural subsidy bill for small rice farmers with the Senate Majority Leader, a rather unplanned visit, when he noticed such a commotion happening outside of Senator's office with De Pena storming out of the room. Curious Overstein decided to pay Carter a little visit.

"Excuse me Senator, do you mind telling me what happened?"

Leaving the office, María Antonieta realizes after the fact how much simpler it would have been to be sure on all of it by just asking Carter to confirm the plan and perjure himself because of it, but it was too late now, and she is not coming back.

She stops and waits at the doors, really, really, not wanting to go back outside in the cold. She hates winter. She hates the cold. She is sick of all of this. She grits her teeth and makes her way out, rushing to the subway system to get out of it as quickly as possible.

Senator Breckenridge's office was comfortable above all else. Seen as an elitist by some of those to his right, and indeed his left, he took up the mantle, at least in regard to decoration. He sat behind his overly expensive wooden desk, sipping on something dated and even more expensive when a young female staffer knocked three times on his door to signify the Senator's Arrival. He agreed with a lot this man had to say it seemed, but he'd heard nasty rumors. Unflattering rumors. Regardless, it was time to get started. He put the glass on the desk to his left and positioned himself so he could be out of his seat as soon as the door opened.

Council Chairman Lockett sits in his office glancing at this year proposals, a reporter for CBS walks in. "Mr. Chairman, care for a question?" Kenneth looks up quite aggravated he glances out the door seeing nobody out there. He sighs deeply, "One question." He responds standing to put his files away. "According to the state election system, you haven't registered for reelection this year yet, any reason for this?" The reporter asks turning on a recording. "In the divorce, I got the Washington Townhouse, I came back hoping to stay, but I realized that staying here isn't going to push my career. I haven't registered because I'm not for reelection. I'm hoping to get an aid ship at the capital but if not I'll go back to working for the State Department. That's all I have to say today, thank you." He quickly grabs his bag and jacket making a beeline for the door. Once he leaves the building he breathes deeply and shakes his head trying to clear it.

He walks to his loft down the road seeing the towers of boxes surrounding the place. He opens his laptop and goes to the capital website, hoping to see an aid opening for a senator.

It was an eagerness to return home for the holidays that dominated Fowler's thinking but one last meeting would have to take priority. Arriving only 5 minutes early instead of his customary 15 Fowler introduced himself politely to the staffers in Breckenridge's office as a young woman knocked 3 threes times on Breckenridge's door.

Finally being let in, Fowler spied Breckenridge behind a large desk "Hello its a pleasure to meet you" Fowler crossed the room to shake the hand of his last meeting before the new year.

As Fowler opened the door, Breckenridge was out of his seat and crossing the room, meeting him halfway and gripping his hand in a manner that was somehow both firm and lax. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Senator-Elect, feel free to have a seat in one of the chairs." Breckenridge broke the handshake and got back behind his desk, sitting down in a somewhat casual manner. "Help yourself to the Cognac if you like."
