The Nomination of Anna Rossi to the Supreme Court of the United States is the most damaging action taken by the Reed Administration so far. Her complete inexperience on the bench, disregard for the 1st Amendment, hatred for our brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ+ Community, and disrespect for judicial precedent under Roe V. Wade disqualify her to the maximum degree.

Nominating an elected member of your political party to the Supreme Court is a violation of every institutional norm in this country. This is a blatantly partisan move in the selection of a completely unqualified nominee that is shocking to see from President Reed.

Whilst I do applaud the President for choosing such a fine nominee for the Supreme Court I do have concerns regarding Dr. Rossi's difficulty in public specifically confined to the advice and consent confirmation in the Senate.

Anna Rossi has never served a minute on any federal bench. With this nomination, The President of the United States has declared to the nation that he intends to shape the Supreme Court into a partisan institution. A 30 year old Congresswoman does not belong on the Supreme Court of the United States, and neither does any other naked partisan. I call on the Senate to reject this reckless nomination, and I urge my opponents to do the same.

I speak as Anna Rossi's colleauge and as a man who has had a chance to conduct a dialogue with her on more than one occasion. She is completely and utterly unfit for a seat on the Supreme Court, and her nomination is a clear indicator that the President is willing to choose a blind partisan over someone judicially proficient. Someone with no prior experience and a toxic interpretation of founding documents shouldn't be within 500 feet of the court, let alone on it.

I have serious concerns about the nomination of Anna Rossi to the Supreme Court, and I have to wonder if the President considered that there are far more experienced and appropriate choices for the seat left vacant by the late Justice Keegan. I look forward to the confirmation hearing.

Rep. Rossi has never served on the bench nor even privately practiced law. The Supreme Court is not an entry-level job, it is for people who have spent their entire lives in the legal profession. I think all Americans can agree on that fact. An extra few years of education is no replacement for a lifetime of legal experience.

Her nomination also sets a dangerous precedent for future years. America has always prided itself with an independent judiciary that upheld the constitution, never since the 50s has any President nominated a sitting member of Congress. President Reed appointed an openly partisan member of Congress to that position. This nomination will destroy the independence of the judiciary, period.

Rep. Rossi's history indicate that she will overturn Roe vs Wade, and Obergefell vs Hodges. Both rulings that empowered previously unheard groups. Rossi's nomination to the Supreme Court threatens both of the rulings.

Justice Alana Keegan was a brilliant woman of enormous intelligence and great strength. Her commitment to the values enshrined in our nation's founding documents was unrivalled, and her vow to serve as an independent non-partisan voice on the court was never broken in her years of rulings. I am concerned that with this nomination, that long tradition of neutrality and independence that she held dear is threatened. I sincerely hope that Ms. Rossi will prove me wrong.
