Rock-solid conservative, good woman, strong spine. I think she's our next Supreme Court Justice."

Simon thought for a bit "She's crimson red isn't she? And in her 30s? I definitely read her file during the search. We nominate her the left will wish they had Rossi on the bench. We can get her on, the base will love it moderates not so much but we can confirm her easily with this majority."

Simon writes down the name on a notepad "I would recommend you get 2 more and then we do extensive background checks on all of them. Make sure they are ready for the fight, interview and pick. I have no problem with Walker just like to consider our options, and showing the nation who we are looking at can be almost as helpful as the pick itself."

"The background checks, I would definitely like to start those now, while the investigation is still going on. I don't think we need a finalists list for media-if they confirm she is clean, we can move forward, if there's a problem, we can cast our gaze elsewhere. After what just happened, spectacle is the last thing I care about."

I don't think we need a finalists list for media-if they confirm she is clean, we can move forward, if there's a problem, we can cast our gaze elsewhere. After what just happened, spectacle is the last thing I care about."

Simon nods "Just spitballing Mr. President, its going to be a spectacle regardless. I'll get started with the FBI check right away, she would have had to pass one or two already considering her positions so thats a positive."

Simon turns to a nearby staffer "Amelia can you get me Carter Roberts number? Thank you." Returning to the First lady "I can get you the Roberts on the phone tonight, I can get a quick a dirty poll in maybe 3 days. But off the top of my head.... You could head to New London to talk about the President wanting to expand the navy , that a lot of jobs in the City. Hartford has a bunch of early education concerns right now, you could talk about support for education there..." Simon snaps his fingers having a new idea "Derby, Derby has a big crime issue you could lean on your experience there plus it undercuts Schmidt."

"If you want to lean more into special interests you should visit the American Israel Public Affairs Committee there, or the Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen. All this comes off the top of my head though, I can get a few state contacts together see what they can come up with. Any thoughts?"
