"Without objection, the motion passes. Lacking a Senate sponsor, the floor will be opened to motion and debate immediately upon the clerk's reading of the bill. The clerk shall read the bill."

Official Name: Ending Honoring the Confederacy

Overview: Rejects the hateful, racist, bigoted, and white supremacist ideology of the Confederate States of America and tears down the monuments honoring that ideology.

Section 1: One hundred and fifty years ago Abraham Lincoln led the war to end slavery and freed millions from that evil institution, but many today are stuck in past and keep on glorifying the Confederate slave states. This is unacceptable.

Section 2: No monument in the United States glorifying, promoting, favoring, positively remembering, honoring, or in any way making a positive description of the Confederate States of America and/or the system of slavery may be created or maintained by an government institution in the United States or public institutions or any institution receiving tax dollars or tax breaks.

Section 3: The FBI is empowered to remove any monuments in violation.

Section 4: No government institution or public institution or any institution receiving tax dollars or tax breaks in the United States may fly any flag of the Confederate States of America.

Section 5: The FBI is empowered to remove any flags in violation.

"The floor is open to motion and debate."
