"To clarify the possible confusion I what Representative is quoting is a meta-study published in 2015. that used data from various studies that very done prior to the 2015. Those studies, as such, could and have been disproved in 2009 paper that I've got here. Also all of these studies were controlled laboratory studies, that dealt with attitudes. None of them dealt with prevalence of domestic and sexual abuse and its possible connections to pornography. Representative Rossi is probably mistaken because she thinks that meta-study must use data compiled from research done in the same year which is far from accurate. She also obviously doesn't know research between controlled and epidemiological study, and the fact that second kind of studies actually observe people as social beings and not lab-rats." Prazek said. " I was always nothing than honest, as a Representative and as a scholar. I tried to use arguments on Representative Rossi, we all have, but she answered our questions with insults and now continues to answer our arguments with petty attack on our character. I believe it is time we stand up to her pettiness and tell it like it is." Prazek said.

“I have not abandoned the claim that I have the preponderance of the evidence, it’s obvious that the evidence for her position is far from conclusive, and I urge this body to not make hasty decisions with negative consequences based on inconclusive data. Rather, the facts are clear. This bill does nothing to reduce demand for adult media, rather it just moves it into the black market, where it has no regulations in regards to the age, consent, and compensation of adult actors and actresses. I repeat, if this sorry excuse for legislation passes, it will allow the black market to take control of pornographic film production, allowing greater risks of sex trafficking, forced participation in sexual acts, and increase the likelihood that underage people will be forced into adult film production by the criminal organizations who will jump on the opportunity to fill their pockets with money that can’t be earned profitably by legal businesses.”

Smith: “I never denied that in some very limited circumstances sex trafficking is tied to pornography. Again, the Representative from Indiana would like to portray any argument that debunks hers in a false light. If she wants to talk about blatant falsehoods, she should maybe stop and listen to her own arguments. One thing is clear: when legitimate businesses considered ‘vices’ are prohibited or heavily taxed, whether it’s porn, marijuana, prostitution, or alcohol, they are incorporated into the work of underground organizations, gangs, the Mob, the cartels, etc. if pornography is given this same treatment, it will surely be handled by those with little concern for the law, opening the door for increased sex trafficking, coercion into porn production, underground strip clubs where anything goes and women are treated like commodities, and in general, greater mistreatment of those who participate in the adult media industry. You’d have to be a damn fool to not see that, and my friends, I believe a certain Representative fits the bill.

“In her pursuit of so-called morality, thousands of women will be victimized. Whatever gains her inconclusive studies believe could be made by taxing porn into oblivion, will be overwhelmed by forever making porn part of the criminal underworld. Porn isn’t going away with this bill, just safety for pornographic actors and actresses. It’s too bad someone like Representative Rossi would rather force a moral agenda than look out for the safety of these individuals.”
