I'm probably also going to make a few new characters so I can throw them around a little bit more and make some more decent interactions.
But only probably. Maybe I won't need any new ones. I am at what...4 right now? Hm, yeah, could maybe continue to work with that quite well. Just need to move the bloody vampire and her servant out of the mansion...
Although there are problems with that...she has two...Klötze an den Beinen...?

I have a vague idea for a character, because I need a protagonist/true antagonist to oppose Pride, one of the Seven Heroes.

Also, Thrace, this is the first time I see you messing up the code. Something wrong?
My bad, I just wasn't careful about the links. I normally just directly copy the images here, so I chose the forum links out of reflex.
Like Pride? How so?

Don't worry about the delay, not much has happened ever since anyway - but the preparations for the reboot/new thread are in full swing.
I like the app though!
We've never had a member of two separate sins before, but it's not impossible, it's actually interesting.
And the appearance, that's Camilla from Fire Emblem, right?

Indeed. Fire Emblem appearances/Personalities make good templates for characters sometimes. I thought about another character to offset my villainous one, using Hinoka's appearance as a 'righteous' warrior of sorts, but if I did so it'd likely be later. Took me long enough to do this one.

Cuz school begins again tomorrow.
Not intentionally.
As usually, when I start writing lore stuff, I end up doing a lot more than what I had initially planned.
I'm also slightly stuck on certain graphical and design issues, and add that to me not being able to sleep too well this week, and you have the perfect recipe for a delayed launch.

When it is these kinds of reasons then it is excuseable.
Just a heads up though, if the reboot will come, expect a fairly low initial activity from my side...cuz my school ends in about 1,5 months and they need to cram all their exams into the remaining time.

I'm probably trying to do too much in terms of lore, but oh well.
And I'm still not sure about the launch. I'll be able to manage it, but I have been thinking about pushing the reboot to March -April, it's just that it would be too late by then.

Character Application
Name: Etheltryth Todesglanz
Age: ...eh...if this still were the girl she was before, then she would be around 19. But she was ICly created not even a year ago so...age 0?
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Lesbian
Race: This too counts as undead human creature I suppose.
Appearance: Lisbeth gets more henchmen, eh, women of course!
Position/Status/Affiliation: Loyal creature of Lisbeth Unsterb thus also to the Unsterb Pact
Skills/Powers//Magic:
-Undead: She is not affected by age, sickness, lack of air, water in her lungs, lack of food etc.
-Undead Abomination: She is definitely stronger than mortals in terms of raw physical power
-Experimental: She can actually remove her head. Both body and head can function without being attached to each other.
Equipment: Big bad Scythe cuz why not?
Personality: In all honesty, she is pretty cold and emotionless, almost like a robot. But well, aren't zombies and other undead marionettes not much more than magical, biological robots? Eh, well, I think this will be a custom one with some personality fragments left. Hm, so what to give her? Of course she is ruthless, heartless, pragmatic and almost completely devoid of all emotion. But there are moments when her old personality shows. The personality of a young girl, hardened by battle and war throughout and actually not entirely unpleased with her current predicament. Sometimes her old self might resurface, but the differences would be marginal, mainly displaying a tad bit of additional sadism.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Evil
Biography: As with Elina Bittersee, Etheltryth Todesglanz was not always Etheltryth Todesglanz. No, she was just a child living in Achisia, rural Achisia to be a tad bit more precise. And of course she was a child born into the war. As she grew up, she saw the able bodied men of her village being recruited. Then came the able bodied women. Then the able bodied elders. As the war situation worsened, so did the situation in the village as more and more people were required for the war effort. People which had been essential in keeping the village alife. Houses were falling apart and people were starving. The conditions became miserable. She was robbed of her father, her mother and her big brother and forced to live with other small and young children or those unable to fight. And she hated that life.
But the war was not going in Achisia's favour, despite all the efforts, despite the many people working towards victory, despite the use of dark magic and necromancy. The first sign she saw of the worsened war situation, apart from the less and less indiscriminate recruiting, was the Black Band. Few refugees or Achisian deserters had already told them of enemy forces coming fromt he west, brutally plundering and razing whatever they came across. Smoke pillars in the west gave credibility and in the night, the glow of the fires raging westwards was enough to convince even the most sceptical of the truth. Achisia was losing the war and the enemy was closeby. In a way, the young girl welcomed this. She was sick of the life back here in the rotten village. She wanted to die fighting, her fingers clutched around the handle of a weapon and a war cry on her lips.
And the day came, when the enemy was finally there. It was none other than the Black Band, brutal mercenaries, well acquainted with war and in a force more than capable of dealing with the threat that any village posed. They came riding in on their high steeds, setting fire to some of the houses. Some soldiers dismounted, searched the houses which looked like they were still inhabited. The people living inside, if they hadn't fled yet, were brutally murdered, and in some rare cases even raped. All valuables were taken by the mercenaries, sometimes even with parts of their owners on them. They were a cruel bunch, playing games with the survivors and torturing them. Few people survived and were kicked out of the village, mainly to spread the tale and cause further terror. The mercenaries then occupied their homes and prepared to spend the night in the village before moving on to the next one in the next morning.
As for her? Well, she also didn't escape the mercenaries. But she also didn't intend to. She had expected them, battle ready with a scythe on the main square of the village. She didn't flinch when they rode into the village and started setting parts of it alight and butchering its people. She just stood there, untill they noticed her. Then she challenged them to battle. And they all just laughed. No one took her seriously. No one. So she decided to do something that would force them to take her seriously. She was fairly experienced with the scythe. She had had to work the fields when the people who had worked them before were all gone. She knew how to handle this tool and how to use it like a weapon. She charged the man closest to her on his high steed and brough down her scythe, the weight of the tool and momentum of her charge giving her enough force to chop off the head of his horse. The horse collapsed, dead, burying its rider beneath it. The man could only helplessly watch, as she climbed atop the body of his dead horse and then brought the scythe down onto him, killing him too.
But this was not her end. Although the grins had faded from the faces of the mercenaries and the laughs had subsided, a certain degree of amusement was still in their eyes. The one of them then finally dismounted and limped towards her. He was pretty ugly but she didn't care. It would only make her job so much easier. He introduced himself as Dietrich Haegler and accepted her challenge. She was sure that she could take him down as well. Well, think again! When she charged him, making a wide swing with her scythe, he quickly ducked with a swiftness she had not expected from someone such as him. Next she felt a fist in her stomach and and let go off her weapon, falling onto the ground. It hurt so bad. And there he was, standing above her. He told her, that she reminded him of himself back when he was in her age. Although just a little. Then he kicked her in the face and darkness surrounded her.
Following her knockout, she would eventually and after some unconventional arguments employed by Haegler, join the Black Band and fight through the remaining year of the great war with Achisia. She kept her scythe, improved upon it and always used it to get better with it. She thought it would bring her luck, since this was the weapon she had first killed with. The time she spent with the mercenaries both during and after the war killed the last pieces of the fairly innocent achisian farmgirl she had been before. She become vicious, cruel and would exploit every oppotunity to cause harm. Any harm to foes, atleast emotional harm to allies. Partly probably because as mercenaries yesterday's allies could be todays foes.
But her luck did last. She was finally assigned to guarding a village near the Merckburger fen. She had no idea why but she took pleasure in fulfilling the order of annihilating all intelligent local life. Sadly, she took a bit too much pleasure in it, organising a little hunt into the fen. She hunted fleeing civilians deep into the fen and that was her demise. Lisbeth's creatures ambushed her and although she fought valiantly, some undead finally snuck up from behind and cut her head clean off with a single swing of a massive blade buried deep in his arm. Of course the undead took her back to the mansion and she ended up in the pile of bodies ready for use by Lisbeth for her dark experiments. And eventually she too landed on the operating table, shortly thereafter being reborn into the world as another undead creature to serve her new mistress' will.
Goals: Serve the Mistress, obey all her commands, make her happy.
Theme Song:(Optional, a song could be nice, but many people don't like it.)
RP Sample: I already have 4 accepted apps. I presume I did.
Did you read the Rules?: Totally yes

Character Application
[b]Name: Actually unknown. He is commonly referred to as Black Knight
Age: 36
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Asexual
Race: Presumable human.
Appearance: Dietrich also gets a minion!
Position/Status/Affiliation: The Black Knight is a mercenary...but with close ties to the Colonel of the Black Band, Dietrich, who currently holds him under a long term contract with a very generous salary.
Skills/Powers//Magic: Anything particular? Apart from being great at riding something, great at fighting with a great variety of close combat weapons and damn good shot with crossbow? Nah, nothing magical, no.
Equipment: The armour he wears, the crossbow he sports as well as a Longsword and a black horse.
Personality: A very taciturn character. It is unknown if he ever actually spoke. His actions are ruthless and he does go over piles of bodies to reach his goals. But he is not exactly cruel. He may often prefer the dark/evil/cruel route as it often brings him quicker towards his goals but he doesn't do so because he likes to. He just values efficiency a lot. And if he is ordered to interrogate and break some idealistic upstart hero knight and it would speed up the process of doing so by executing or torturing his entire family before his eyes, then he will do so without hesitation.
Biography: WIP or sekrit? Don't know yet. For now it is definitely WIP as it is getting late and I have school early tomorrow.
Goals: Tied into the nonexistant bio. For now his goals will be fulfilling his contracts and seeking out more contracts which supply him with goals in his life.
Theme Song:(Optional, a song could be nice, but many people don't like it.)
RP Sample: Hey, this is my potentially sixth character for this!
Did you read the Rules?: Indeed.

It really depends. We have some really strong and some really weak characters.

Rafal does just fine. Or maybe I'm biased. XDTracian Empire wrote:As long as they are balanced, I have no particular problem with having stronger characters, but I tend to judge each character individually. As an example, my (former) main character, the Archbishop of Envy, is quite powerful, but he finds it difficult to control magic - his spells can get out of control, and he has less mana than a mage of his caliber should have. The Archbishop of Wrath is well, too impulsive and while her offensive skills are great, rage can easily make her lose sight of what's important in a battle. Pride is well, blind, and also very indecisive and hesitant. Rafal has a relic, his sword, but he has no idea how to properly use it. And so on.

Meanwhile, in contrast with him, Alina is very physically weak and not much use in a fight if all she has is a conventional weapon, but her magic could be terrifyingly strong if she learned to control it correctly... (However, since it's not human magic, I like to think that the only way for her to really master it would involve slowly giving up more and more of her humanity until she can no longer be called truly human... because that sounds interesting. Yes, I have put some thought into this.)
