for the Korvash Psionic Beams what i was thinking was like this.

The Beam comes in three forms, there is the abse form. It can damage energy shields ad the like, but it is meant to disorient the minds of the people within the ship.

Then there is the Plasma Beam. Each beam utilizes Plasma in some form, The First uses Fire and extreme heat to melt through armor and all that lays in its way, it is more useful against armor than shields. The Second Uses Electricity and can pass through shields, in most cases and can damge ships systems, assumign it doesnt dissipate against thick armor.

Thoughts?

No, they operate much like Biotics from AMss effect, they do this by amplifying the body's natural electrical and heat fields.
