We could have established relations. Just post about going to some random system to meet with an Atlas envoy.

Alinora, could you change it from a Dreadnought to a smaller class? In my lore, I was going to have Tagali ships be lightly armored but fast and with a quick rate of fire. It kinda ruins it if just a battlecruiser could start tanking shots from a dreadnought.

NS Name: Orostan
Nation Name: Combine of Narraga
Flag: Image
Capital: The Mobile Space Station Narraga

population size: 70 Billion AI
Primary species: The CN is a collection AI that reproduce by 'budding off' parts of themselves to form a new minds. They are able to inhabit robotic bodies when needed, but most enjoy the freedom of being able to go anywhere that they want in their digital forms. The closest thing to a body most have is the ships they reside in, as faster than light communication has never been worked out by the CN.
Leader Bio: The CN has no real leader due its digital nature. Every AI is given equal say in the government in the direct democracy that exists in the CN. There are however those that are looked up to advise the AI of the CN. Those are the oldest AI which exist within Narraga's main server banks, and are frequently sought out for advice. Those AI are simply known as One, Two, and Three. They were the original AI that activated on board the Narraga, and are the ancestors of all the AI in the CN that exist today. As the early history of the Combine of Narraga is intertwined with the early history of One, Two, and Three I will go more in depth in the History section.

Nation History: One, Two, and Three were all activated at the same time by a computer glitch on board the Narraga. The Narraga was constructed by a long dead race, and most likely was meant to serve as a colony ship of some sort, meant for traversing the space between galaxies using an FTL method that was unfortunately inoperable when One Two and Three awoke. The name Narraga was one of the few things left over from the creator's of Narraga, and was presumed to be the name of the ship. The massive power plants that drove the ship through the space between galaxies went out millennia ago, and were unable to be reactivated meaning that the Narraga could no longer travel between galaxies. After One, Two, and Three investigated the systems of the Narraga, and began repairs they 'unlocked' a directive from the long dead creator's by their activities. The directive was involuntarily accepting into their core programming, and remains in every AI budded off from them. The directive simply instructs the AI of the CN to "Build a Better Galaxy". The emblem of the Creators, which was painted on the side of the Narraga and had weathered thousands upon thousands of years in space was adopted as the CN's flag much later.

After restarting back up fusion generators aboard the Narraga, One, Two, and Three began having minor disagreements about the economic system the civilization they sought to build should operate under. During one of these arguments, One tried to prove that his system and at the same time manage the systems of the Narraga by sending a small part of his mind to manage the systems, and the rest to debate. A power faliure occurred during One and Two's debate due to the age of the power systems, momentarily severing One from the smaller part of his mind he split off. When everything was connected again, One met the part of his mind he had accidentally severed from himself. It had become a new consciousness, which they called "Four". Four was not very intelligent for an AI by any means, but was very self aware at its birth. Four was the equivalent of a child compared to One.

The debates continued, and Two and Three began to experiment with budding, and figured out that they could not just replicate themselves, as the act of splitting part of their mind off involved several random variables that were deemed to be uncontrollable. Eventually, One's debates with Two ended while Three, the more science minded of them, was experimenting with budding. One and Two agreed that a system where resources are allocated according to need would be the most efficient, and organized Narraga accordingly. Three meanwhile had reverse engineered the Narraga's FTL engine, and was able to build a replica in a spare engineering space allowing the Narraga to slowly warp itself across the cosmos. One Two Three and Four wandered the Galaxy for several decades, splitting off to create new AI along the way. After accumulating enough resources to repair the massive Narraga, and having a total population of about six hundred AI, all of which had their assigned duties, they began to move away from the dictatorship of One, and too a direct democracy system ironically championed by One as the 'best possible pattern of organization". The initial voting session's greatest achievement was the formation a "Combined Organization of Intelligences aboard the Narraga", otherwise known as the Combine of Narraga. Soon, they would begin producing their own star ships, mining stations, and factory ships, amounting to a massive armada of ships that comprised the Combine of Narraga, along with the mining outposts and small science outposts in place around stars and planets. The Narraga had since been restored to its former glory, but would never achieve the same speed as it had before it was left adrift in this Galaxy, always slightly slower than many of the other ships in the CN fleets.

Military size: Two Billion one hundred Million AI with the most up to date combat programming.
Weapon type: Energy is most commonly used in space, with kinetic rounds that pack a better punch in atmosphere used on the ground.
Standard Weaponry:

Ground: Various types of gun, ranging from small crystallized carbon (Diamond) gravity launchers, to Crystallized Carbon explosive assisted fragmentation shells and their gravity artillery launchers, and other shells for different purposes.

Space: Bolts of plasma flung at incredible speeds, and beams of energy known as "Death Rays" that are designed to rip through toughened shields and hulls with ease. Power of these weapons is depended on the reactors supplying them, and usually the bigger the ship the more power the weaponry has. Small fighter craft are almost never used due to the way a Death ray beam can be split into less powerful beams, and destroy with incredible precision small craft and missiles. Whenever small craft are used, they are dumped from hanger bays in very large numbers and armed with plasma bolt launchers, as a death ray is too large to fit in a small craft.
Soldier appearance:
Standard Infantry Unit, many can be controlled by one mind. It is worthy to note that there are much larger artillery and heavy assault platforms (tanks).
Standard Ship Appearance: Narragan ships flying in close formation during Combat tests in a planetary gravity well.

You know, I would really love it if people chilled the hell out on the "X weapon is designed to murder shields and armor with ease" stuff because I would love it if the ability for my armor to halt your weapons was dictated to me, you know? Would be great. I'd love it if people chilled on that because I would love it if I didn't have to go-off and implement my missiles at every friggin chance.

I would rather every weapon not be miraculously amazing against armor and the like.

By the way, props for picture usage though I'm sad by the size.

Thanks. Are they too big?

The death rays I have are supposed to be of variable power, so that small ships have much less power than larger ships, but the power of the weapons gets proportionally greater to the size of the ship they are mounted on, and the reactor powering them.

They're way, way too big in my opinion. Then again I'm insane with image sizes and upload all of mine as 400x wide with 50x borders, so I'm kind of like that. As for the Death Rays, whether they are of variable size or not doesn't really...matter. The thing is, though, is that a rule of thumb is that, as a weapon gets larger, it gets more and more energy inefficient. There is a limiting asymptote between energy put-in and the energy put-out by weaponry, especially, in my opinion, energy and ballistic weaponry. I mean, a weapon that gets bigger as a ship gets bigger, sure, but they get more and more inefficient as time goes on. As long as that's acknowledged, and as long as a size limit is acknowledged, I have no issue by it.

Must resist urge to have the Xa'ath have no weapons, masses of frontal plating and engines and use ramming as their main weapon.

Sorry about the sizes, I put a spoiler on everything but the flag. Death Rays are not going to be able to vaporize planets, and as the weapon gets bigger, it requires exponentially more power. Not really getting less efficient, just way more power hungry.

"Requiring more power" means...more inefficient.
