Veritch science vessel has been dispatched to a random system. I believe Shadowwell and Lunas Legion expressed interest in a first contact, so feel free to respond! I mentioned firing out a bunch of drones and science vessels, so whoever wants to encounter one, let me know.

Also let me know if you're interested in blowing up one or two randomly, so I can have mentions of 'missing' science vessels that fail to report back.

I wouldn't mind first contact, unless Shadowwell or Lunas Legion want to do it first.

I'm fine with first contact with multiple people at once. The science vessels are cut-off from the Faruka system and the Star League until they report back, so different vessels could run into different species at the same rough time.

If they were normal citizen, nothing would really happen. However if their loss of faith translates to loss of loyalty to the Enclave, they would be dealt with immediately. Either through re-indoctrination or execution. If they were of the Zaron Priesthood, they would be asked to go on a retreat and visit a superior for questions of their doubts. If they begin to openly challenge the practices of Zaron, they would be expelled from the Priesthood. If they were to preach a different set of beliefs that are contrary or antagonistic to the established beliefs and practices of Zaron, they would be executed for they are the worst kind of heathens. If they were to begin to show disloyalty to the Enclave, they would be executed.

Whether a citizen is atheist or a practitioner of Zaron, they must be absolutely loyal to the Enclave. If they are not, they are executed. And it doesn't matter how many are killed, as long as the rest fall in line. Every species is simply a tool to be used. If they are no longer useful to the Enclave, they are discarded. This status of "discarded" can translated to menial tasks or genocide. Of course the exception to this rule are the Exodites and the Mogh'Keigh who enforce it.

Since you brought up this certain policy, I will also like to say that in the beginning of every battle, the Enclave commander will tell the opposing forces that those who wish accept the mercy of the Exalted Ones (surrender to the Enclave) may do so within two hours. After two hours, no one will be spared from the coming judgement. The Enclave rarely takes prisoners. They believe that those who refuse to surrender are heathens. And even if they surrender, they will not do so from faith but to save their own lives. As soon as the Enclave leaves, they would continue their heathen-like ways. If the Enclave is attacked before two hours, they will start the battle and leave no prisoners. If an entire planet surrenders to the Enclave without resistance, a force will be left on the planet and the fleet will move along. However the planet will now of course be subject to Enclave rule and massive indoctrination.

The word Zaron is a Mogh'Keigh word meaning life. However if one were to ask a Zaron follower, they would call it either the truth or the true path.

Basically, Zaron is the worship of the Exalted Ones. To worship them is to follow their teachings from the Kirnleth, obey the Mogh'Keigh, and obey the Prophets (Exodites). While there are many Exalted Ones, there is one primary Exalted One that everyone worships and follows. That is Emweh who is the eldest and the most powerful of the Exalted Ones. Zaron is a pantheon but with a monotheistic core. The other Exalted Ones are Drelix (The Vigilant Sentry), Xledna (The Fearless Warrior), Nodmica (The Surveyor of Lands), Veldum (The Forger of Stars), Naktrui (The Great Botanist), and much more. The pantheon can expand or contract based upon the Prophet's newest revelation.

The most common and most encouraged way to glorify the Exalted Ones is military and government service. To expand the Enclave and to ensure its continuation. The Enclave is the Exalted One's own special nation created to be an example to the rest of the nations and to assert their authority in the Universe. In military service, one can be responsible for the conversion of entire systems or the cleansing of entire systems.

An enemy of Zaron is a heathen. And heathens are dangerous to be around and to be associated with. Heathens will always try to lead the faithful astray and will always be aggressive to it. As such they must be destroyed. Even the Exalted Ones will shed no tears for the heathen for they refuse to acknowledge the sovereignty of the Exalted Ones and the extended offer of salvation that the Exalted Ones offer.

The idea of salvation is simply to accept that the Exalted Ones are the true living malevolent and benevolent gods of the universe and they have the right to rule over the lives of their children. The Exalted Ones always have the best intentions for their children since they have foresight and will always be just in their proceedings. If something seems unjust, it is merely from the perspective of the child since the Exalted Ones can see both the past and the future order of things. To deny such rights is to deny the existence of the Exalted Ones.

If one should be around heathens, they must be careful in their interactions with them and know that they could either be misguided or a heathen. The misguided is a category which means that the person would chose to follow Zaron if convinced by its teachings. Basically a future follower of Zaron. If they still refuse to follow Zaron despite the evidence for it, they will be classified as a heathen.

The priests of Zaron encourage their followers to avoid heathens wherever they are. Since the heathens don't care about spiritual things and even if they do care, they will refuse to follow Zaron. Heathens will be purged eventually and be isolated from the rest of the faithful. Whether by natural causes or by the hands of the holy warriors.

If a faithful person were to die, they would ascend to the spiritual plane where the Exalted Ones now reside in. If a heathen were to die, they will be reborn in another body. This cycle continues until the heathen is eventually converted or the Exalted Ones begin their final judgement on creation. In which the Heathen will be sentenced to be isolated from creation and eventually wither away into nothing and madness.

There are many types of priests in Zaron, but the most important and highest are the Prophets. Prophets are the direct messengers of the Exalted Ones themselves. They incorporate new teachings into the Kirnleth or clarify older texts.

Ooh, an evagelistic theocratic space empire? Color me interested in contact. Maybe once I finish the application for the Ki'Irruk Liszaw, I'll get around to doing stuff.

It's interesting to think of what the Enclave would be like upon encountering Masters of Ki'Irruk Liszaw, given that Ki'Irruk Liszaw acts more like a set of philosophical beliefs that accept other views, but at the cost of not enabling them in higher practice.

Given the inherent power of the Dirin and their psionic abilities granted upon their Avatars and Champions (ARA the Masters of Ki'Irruk Liszaw), the strength of the Four High Houses of the Liszaw, coupled with the strength of the rest of the Crests would probably stand as a potent force against the Enclave. It'd also be interesting to see if the Enclave would back down from a fight with such forces if no advance could be made.

Would it be okay if the Enclave "tests" the lengths of this agreement? AKA, attempt to invade the ceding territories and claim that they wanted to be part of the Enclave (Kinda like Crimea in a way). Basically they would try to test the strength of the agreement and whether or not the Tagali would intervene. I think it would make an interesting intergalatic incident. Also it is in the nature of the Enclave is expand into easily exploitable territories if they arise.

Is the Ki'Irruk Liszaw made up of many more species? I'm just wondering. Because from your bio they seem more like a religious sect. In any case, if the Enclave were to invade your nation, they would use a mixture of tactics. The main military forces would employ conventional tactics and take planet after planet. The Mogh'Keigh forces would conduct raids into your territory as the main force approaches. Their goal would be to soften, to weaken, and to assess the strengths of each system for the main force. The Mogh'Keigh rarely deploy enmass, and would only do so if they feel that the situation is permissible.

Keep in mind that the entire Mogh'Keigh species is psionic and will put up a fight. Moreover, the Exodites may before the invasion infiltrate your nation but taking over the positions and bodies of your fellow persons. My post talked about it once, but the Exodites can mimic the body structures of other species just by consuming their brain. They can mimic the person down to the genetic level. Once they have eaten the brain of their target, they can assume the target's personality and memories. They cannot inherit the psionic abilities of the target, but since your bio says that your genes are capable of doing it, then the Exodites will try to incorporate that gene into their DNA. It would be like invasion of the body snatchers pretty much.

It will be an interesting war if it were to occur. But as my bio says, the Enclave will not stop being aggressive. If they are defeated they will return. The Mogh'Keigh and the Exodites are convinced that they have the right to rule the universe and the rest of the species must abide by them. Any defeat is seen as a delay of the inevitable.

In all seriousness, I think it would be a good first challenge to the new human government. It would be an indicator if they are a push over or not. Just sign the treaty, pull out your troops and the Enclave will be there.

Yes, the idea behind the Ki'Irruk Liszaw is that they incorporate the enlightenment and freedom of all species into their philosophical charter, it's my plan to have them not only harboring the native Irruki, but also the many dozens of other species present in the galaxy that are exiles, pilgrims, or travelers from their home spheres of influence. Conventional military tactics would work as the Ki'Irruk Liszaw have no formal military, militia, or even a security force present save beyond the fanatics of the Irruki and the members of the House of Kjor.

The Dirin directly would conflict with Exodite infiltration. The Dirin are not an actually known, or easily discovered race, which is the reason behind their existence as the ultimate race in the Ki'Irruk Liszaw.

"it is unknown what their true form is, though some records have them as being a demi-fluidic race that holds no set shape. It is assumed that Ki-Irruk Liszaw practicioners and members take on the role of host to the pseudo-fluidic beings"

Invading the brain of a host for a Dirin would likely result in catastrophic breakdown of the entity. Exodites sound like they'd be some form of similarly evolved demi-fluidic race, so their presence would probably be recognized immediately. Dirin, being highly psionic beings in nature, would begin initiating in combat against the Exodite threat on all fronts and attempt to destroy the unknown before it could inflict damage to the host. If the host takes fatal damage, it would move on to engaging in full combat with the Exodite, destroying the host body in the process. Because the psionic nature of the Dirin manifests as an extreme form of gravitic manipulation in addition to thermal radiation manipulation, it would probably try to trap the Exodite and then burn it after interrogating it, if at all possible.

Dirin also have the interesting ability to telepathically engage in communication across large distances, so if a threat was perceived, then it would immediately be broadcast. Because, however, of the low known population of the Dirin outside of the inner territories, it's probably safe to say that such an encounter would not immediately occur and initially all that would happen would be the documentation of an extremely hostile race. Furthermore, psionic acolytes suddenly losing their ability to act in a psionic nature would also be deemed as highly suspicious and probably would again, result in Exodite revelation. Dirin are usually not involved in the process of full psionic release until high-tier hosts are made available. Again, that would take a lot of preparation given that its a test of psionic power which summons the Dirin forth to be made one with its host.
