Welcome to the world of Imperium Aeternum. In this world, the Roman Empire did not fall; nor did Christianity, Constantinople or the Byzantium. They stand tall and strong in the Year of Our Lord 1820. Islam remains relatively small, only dominant in select regions; Judaism has faded almost completely into memory. There have been many centuries of Roman rule over much of Europe, with Roman dominance only questioned by the Persians, the eternal rivals of the Romans.
The Roman Empire has spread its influence throughout much of the world; it has grown stronger, more unified. There are many railroad systems; and all railroads lead to Rome. The Roman Empire is suffering minor tensions with countries it influences, with some desiring more power and wanting to be like Rome: strong, powerful. Although Rome has progressed much technologically and indeed, economically; socially, and politically, it clings to its centuries-old traditions with zeal, as do their eastern counterparts, the Byzantines. Rome stands tall and many hope it never falls.
