He was floating in the swamp when he saw a human, who he later came to know as Jude. Jude offered him travel fighting, and best of all, companionship. But Krokus wanted to be sure that he would be in strong company so there was a battle. In the end, it took two pokémon to bring him down, but that was good enough. Now Krokus travels with Jude and his other friends.

I believe I mentioned this before, but it wasn't answered. Should there be a starting level cap? I don't think it would be fair for most applicants to realistically have level 15s while a troll comes in with a level 100 something or other. As we continue, we can level up more, but still...

We're not using levels at all. Instead, any new moves learned or evolutions have to be approved by myself or a co-op. Obviously, I'll be keeping track so that pokémon evolve when they should. Also, I'm checking every starting pokémon that is apped for, and I did say that it has to be at its first form, so no fully-evolved pokémon will be let through.
