I feel like it is a mixture of the DPRK and the Handmaidens Tale. Authoritarian, oppressive, nightmarish, and endlessly religious.
Pretty much, except the vast majority of the people owe their lives and general prosperity to Isidora and as a result really do worship her. And they burn people at the stake.

Bio: Rather than being ancient and all-powerful, Coyote is a rather young god and brimming with passion and desire. He is born from the frustrations faced by the native Navajo and Hopi peoples who experienced hardship and struggle in the face of white settlement. Their confines of the reservation further empowered the divine soul within him, making his debut in the Golden Morning along with several other ancient deities. Coyote, however, was never as strong or as powerful as most Gods, but he was divine nonetheless. He held dominion over the reservations of the Navajo and Hopi, ruling and empowering them.
As there are precious few natives, and even less after the Golden Morning, Coyote's power has been slipping rapidly - His worshipers growing fewer and their faith in him dwindling. In order to preserve himself and his following, though, Coyote opted to share his immense, divine potential with his warriors, amplifying their abilities and potential to that of metahumans and some to the point of demigods at the cost of his own. As several metahuman factions began to migrate to the Four Corners region and establish territory, Mankiller embarked on what's now known as the Four Corners' War, where he laid waste to encroachment by interlopers and secured his vast, deserted area, raising his prestige and power among other Gods.
Powers: He grows more powerful with worshipers as all Gods do, but also draws ambient significant energy from his surroundings so long as he's on his peoples native homeland. Sadly, however, the barren landscape his followers call home is not exactly teaming with bountiful and ample energy. Beyond that, Coyote has nothing special beyond the supernatural condition granted to him by virtue of godhood, but that is nothing to scoff at, he is physically impressive and nearly insurmountable in human terms.

Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Appearance: (Image)
Bio: Since at least the beginnings of humanity, the Watcher has taken interest in the planet of Earth. Over the millennia, the Watcher has visited a few select figures, but sightings of the Watcher have increased since 1958.
Unbeknownst to many, the Watcher lives in his Observatory, which is located in another dimension. Only he can access it, but he can give others special permission to enter and exit.
The Watcher is not benevolent, nor his he malevolent. His very nature is a mystery.
Powers: He can teleport anywhere instantenously, and can cause someone to have visions which can be anywhere from pleasant to incomprehensibly terrifying. He can also levitate. He is invunerable to any kind of attack.
Note: The Watcher won't really take any action. The only thing he will do is descend down and visit one of the other characters, giving them visions. The players can chose how to react, or what to do.

Age: 23
Gender: Female
Appearance: Add a long scar going above and below her left eye, and a burn scar on her lower right jaw.(Image)
Bio: Ashley was born and raised in Arizona during the height of the superhuman controversy. Times were uncertain and tensions were high, so when Ashley started exhibiting powers her parents worked hard to try and hide them. At first it was small things, a cup flying across the room or Ashley picking up surprisingly heavy objects, but it was easy to either explain away or cover up. Her powers grew though, and it soon became apparent that she would need more aid than they could provide in controlling and hiding her powers. Her mother wanted to find a super who was willing to quietly mentor Ashley so she could learn to use and expand her powers, but her father just wished they would go away. Eventually her mother won out when it became clear she would need at least a basic understanding of her powers if she wanted to keep them under control.
It didn't take them long to find Damon, an older super who had since given up his hero ways in order to live a quieter life. The man lived alone and away form most people in order to avoid confrontation with anti-super groups, and that suited the Martin family just fine. Damon taught Ashley for years, giving her guidance as she learned how to use her powers with greater proficiency. Over time she became adept at manipulating gravity for her own purposes, and started using it to help around town in subtle ways. While the ability to better conceal her powers was appreciated, Ashley's father disapproved of the heroic notions Damon sometimes gave Ashley and eventually started trying to limit their contact. Ashley was determined though, and continued to go to Damon without her father's permission.
Then the Golden Morning came. As gods fought supers Ashley and her family worked to stay out of the commotion, hoping that they could avoid the brunt of the conflict by not showing an allegiance to either side. Their town started adopting a heavy anti-super sentiment though, and suspicion was rampant. It all came to a head when one of the more fanatical members of the town spotted Ashley and Damon practicing together. The word spread quickly, and eventually the followers of Isidora that were in the area caught wind and moved on the town. When they reached it they demanded that the townspeople hand over Ashley and Damon for execution, but Damon fought them to try and buy time for Ashley and her family to escape. The ensuing brawl was devastating, as their were two demi-gods of Isidora in the group, and only Ashley and her father managed to get out alive. Ashley and her dad soon grew distant, with Ashley blaming the gods for her mother's death and her father blaming Damon and other supers. After wandering from settlement to settlement for a couple years the two had a heated argument that led to Ashley going off on her own. Now she goes from town to town, only staying in those willing to shelter a super and doing odd jobs for food before moving on to avoid detection.
Powers: Gravity Manipulation (Not powerful enough to create black holes or fly, but can enhance her strength considerably and jump very long distances)

Bio: The discovery of his power was when a primary conductor from a power pole fell on him. May people ran away leaving him alone. He was surprised when the wire producing many volts were being absorbed. From that day he knew he was a superhuman living on Earth. At first, he was surprised that he had this incredible power. That soon ended. He was there when the Golden morning happened. At first, he was playing games as usual. Then all of the sudden there was screaming going all over the place. He went to check it out and saw another superhuman causing terror to the human beings. He took his stuff and went into hiding as he knew that the gods would not be happy. Well, he was right, he stayed out of the war. In 2010 he saw it as a good time to come out of hiding as the war has calmed down. Many cities were being built back and new came to life. This day would change everything.

Quintessence Force - generates whitish-blue lightning that also contains pure life energy.
