Well, I can already think of a quick, simple, and easy solution: You could actually change what YOUR characters do for once, instead of demanding that I change mine. I've had you berate what I post over and over and over again, constantly complaining about everything I write and demanding that I change it. Pretty much every single time I've ever posted in the IC, I've had you go on and on and on about how you hate what I'm writing and think that I should write something completely different for the sole purpose of accommodating what you want.
Even when it has nothing to do with your characters, you complain endlessly. The Diamondgrad plot was between me, Turmenista, and, now, Nocturniica, and all three of us have been absolutely, 100% fine with having a war with the diamond dogs. They're Turmenista's characters, so, by all rights, he should be able to decide what happens to them, but you just can't stand the sight of a conflict, and here you are demanding that I cancel months worth of plans (that had been accepted by everybody here) regardless of what Turmenista wants, regardless of what I want, regardless of what anyone else wants.
This has been a recurring theme throughout this whole thread; you've been endlessly attacking my work, and demanding that I change it, even going so far as to threaten to leave if I don't. It really hasn't been giving a lot of motivation for me to post; in fact, your attitude has been actively sapping my motivation to keep posting, to the point where I barely want to continue anymore. Nobody else has had a problem with the plots I've been writing; nobody else has asked me to change it. You are, so far, the only person who objects to my conflicts. Why can't you change what your characters do for once, or just let other people enjoy writing a conflict without demanding that they end it?
It's very rare that I complain about another person's behavior, but I feel like I don't have much of a choice here. Flutterlands' attitude has been completely draining my desire to participate for weeks now; it's been entirely unwelcome, and all it's done is make me want to use my time to do something else. He has telegrammed me, or posted here, after almost every single IC post I've made, complaining about my writing, and it's never once been anything constructive; all it's ever been is him telling me about how much he hates having conflict in a story and him insisting that I wave a magic wand and turn everything into peace and harmony. Just early today, out of absolutely nowhere, he sent me a series of telegrams demanding that I cancel the Diamondgrad plot because his characters would start a big war over it and he doesn't want war. I was in the middle of writing a response to Nocturniica; it was a rare occasion, when I actually had both the time and motivation to post. I completely lost the motivation to keep writing after hearing him; something that has happened on more than one occasion in the past.
"I don't want this war, FRE, finish this with Discord and be done with it please..."
To quote Flutterlands' telegram.
"Why? What part of the Diamondgrad war could possibly make it such a terrible plot point that you want me to go "poof, peace and harmony, no more conflict"? It's a perfectly reasonable plot that nobody but you seems to have even the slightest bit of objection to.
Besides, Diamondgrad's characters belong to Turmenista, and he has seemed to be absolutely fine with war. Why should he and I completely cancel a plot that nobody has objected to? What's the point of having a story if we aren't allowed to have conflict in it?"
To quote my response telegram.
"Because I don't want Equestria getting involved (Celestia would support Diamondgrad because I hate All Maker) and make this exactly the sort of War I want to avoid."
To quote his response telegram.
He has literally demanded that I completely change everything I've established about my characters, and totally cancel my plans, to accommodate his characters and what he wants. Why should I have to change everything I've written because of how he would write his characters to react? It's completely unreasonable, especially when he's acting like I'm the one causing a problem when, by his own admission, he's the one at fault because he would write his characters to respond in a way that would create a plot he doesn't want. It's rapidly dwindling away every ounce of desire I have to post to have my writing berated over and over and over again, and never in a remotely constructive way. Something needs to change, here, because I don't know if I'm going to be willing to continue my involvement when every single post I make, no matter how much time or effort I put into it, is met with fuck you, I hate your plots, change it because I don't like it.

That way it's not an all-out war across the land, right?

It's already an isolated conflict; Flutterlands is the one who intends to elevate it to something bigger, and he thinks that I should totally hack apart everything I've established about my characters and what they would do all because he would write his characters to react in a way that would create a big war that he doesn't want. It's outrageous. I shouldn't have to burn away the months-worth of writing that I've spent on my characters, all because he would write his characters to respond in a way that he doesn't want. He could just, oh, I don't know, change the way his characters react, instead of spitting on everything I've written.

If it's going to be isolated, fine then. I don't know why Fren implied otherwise in his tg to me, but whatever. The reason why I'm so on edge with you is because you affectively highjacked my last rp without consultance. At least that's how I feel about the all-maker insurrection. I just want actual discussion about important plot points for now on...

Frenequesta wrote:I apologize; I overstated the extent of the Lethe's reaction, though arresting masses of foreign citizens and seizing foreign corporate assets are almost acts of war. Celestia does need to address the fact that her own citizens are being arrested by Lethe for no other reason except for being Equestrian citizens.
For that matter, FRE, I have a sort of hyper-technical legal question about the All-Maker's order. When you say "Celestial," do you include those companies that are incorporated in Equestria but nonetheless do business in Lethe directly, or are you also talking about those companies that, though formally incorporated as Lethean companies, have Equestrian parents? And if the former, does the All-Maker intend to seize the assets located in Equestria, or do you just limit yourself to those assets physically in Equestria? (Unless for some reason Lethe doesn't really have an incorporation system, Long Prospect is operating under Foal Mountain Mining Co.'s Lethean subsidiary.)
