Any urgent things that would matter to Persia specifically?

There's an uprising in the British Raj among the Pakistani / Bangladeshi communities in favour of Socialism and the British are now saying enough is enough and are about to blast them back to the stone-age. And uh, Britain isn't happy that it had to pull out of Persia's oil industry because of Revolution.

I'm sadly going to have to drop this. I have overextended myself in terms of what all I need and want to do, and cannot find the motivation to continue to post. I was in the middle of writing a USA post, but found myself suffering through it and that's not the attitude I want to have in this RP. My sincerest apologies.

Full Nation Name : Hungarian Socialist Republic
Short Nation Name : Hungary
Flag / National Symbols: Flag. | Emblem.

Government Type : Oligarchy
Official Political Ideology : Marxist-Leninism
Head of State : President/Chairman of the Hungarian Communist Party Béla Kun
Head of Government : Prime Minister Sándor Garbai
Government Description : What was once perhaps a noble movement to bring democracy to an oppressed people has long since changed from that. The Hungarian People's Republic is in fact ruled entirely by the council that leads the HCP. It is impossible to tell where the State ends and the Party begins. Democracy is only practiced at the most local levels, and even then the outcomes are usually predetermined (those that aren't and do go the Party's way are quickly corrected by the Red Guard). The Party's elites are chosen by their predecessors, and control all elements of Hungary's government.

Territory : On the map. You may recognize it as... normal Hungary.
Territorial Ambitions : The Party line does not claim any territory beyond its current borders. Monarchist Claims. Pan-Hungarian Claims.
Capital City : Budapest
Population : 9,129,000

Majority/Official Culture : Hungarian

Majority/State Religion : majority Roman Catholicism (officially State Atheist)

Major Industries / Economic sectors: Arms manufacturing is a major state-supported industry. Bauxite mining and agriculture are also extremely prominent in Hungary.
Amount of Industrialization : A decade of peace and growing militarism has left Hungary's industry roaring. Hungary's industrial base is extremely strong, if largely based on imports of raw materials.
Economic Description: Hungary's economy is a mixture of collectivized (state-run) agriculture and state-run industry. Both are funded by the state, managed by loyal Party managers, and follow state-made quotas. While unemployment is low, wages are pitiful, and (perhaps ironically) unions, being seen as anti-communist since the Party is communist, are banned.

Military Description

Army: 250,000 men
300 38M Toldi IIa light tanks
200 40M Turán I medium tanks
100 41M Turán II medium tanks
100 43M Zrínyi II assault guns
50 40M Zrínyi I tank destroyers
80 40M Nimród self-propelled anti-aircraft guns

Navy: Are you kidding me?! We're landlocked!

Air Force: 50 Héja fighters
400 Polikarpov I-15 biplane fighters
200 Levente II light biplane bombers

National Goals : Force Communism on the Hungarian people. Keep the Party rich and in power.

History : The collapse of Austria-Hungary at the end of World War One brought with it great turmoil. Hungary fell into chaos, suddenly free and crippled after centuries of existing under the Austrian Hapsburg monarchy. In the 1920 Treaty of Trianon, Hungary had been carved up, bits given to the new Yugoslavia, massive concessions in Transylvania given to the Romanians, and the carving off of Slovakia for the new Czechoslovak state. Support for the Hungarian People's Republic, the moderate democracy that had signed the treaty, waned, allowing the Hungarian Red Army, a radical Communist group that had briefly seized power in 1919, to topple the government and seize power. Both times the movement was headed by Béla Kun. Shortly after seizing power, Kun's new government sparked a terror, purging hundreds of supposed "counter-revolutionaries". The Red Terror of Hungary lasted from 1921-1922, and left the Hungarian people rattled and its new army deprived of experienced officers. At this time, Miklós Horthy, the former commander-in-chief of the Austro-Hungarian Navy, surfaced again and offered his loyalty to the Hungarian government. Despite Kun's desire to shoot any conservatives, Antonín Janoušek, an ethnic Czech who had fled from Czechoslovakia after his limited military actions in establishing an independent "Slovak Soviet Republic" had been crushed, urged Kun to keep Horthy solely because Horthy was only a moderate with a love for his country, and was an experienced officer, which Hungary sorely needed. Kun relented and made Horthy a General- but not People's Commissar of Defense, as Janoušek had originally urged. József Pogány, the idealistic but inexperienced People's Commissar of Defense, was angered by Horthy's sudden commission as General, claiming it was undoing his progress in dismissing all "non-proletarian elements" from the military. Pogány, however, was a moderate communist as opposed to his more radical counterparts, and eventually grew to tolerate Horthy's presence. On his part, Janoušek returned to Prague after the creation of the WUSR.

The decade that followed was largely marked by a rapid re-militarization of Hungary in direct violation of the Treaty of Trianon. Industry in the new communist nation- which insisted it was the direct successor to the 1919 Hungarian Soviet Republic (and thus the second communist nation ever, after the RSFSR)- soared to new heights. Unemployment fell to record lows, arms manufacturing rose to record highs. Foreign tank designs, on Pogány's order and Horthy's insistence, were acquired, assessed, and (if successful) modified and adopted. Hungary would not fall for a static war again. The next war would be a war of movement, and doctrine was designed as such. Motorized infantry were experimented with, then introduced. Plans to fully motorize the infantry, anti-tank guns, and artillery were put forward, but those plans failed to be fully recognized. On the political front, things were far darker than Hungary's economy and military. The population's opinion of the Hungarian Communist Party fell to record lows as more and more people realized that they were not going to go beyond the Hungarian border dictated by Trianon. In response, the Party began to centralize power to itself, the limited democracy of Hungary evaporating in favor of a political system where the Party and the state became one. In opposition, several factions with varying degrees of overlap have evolved behind closed doors. From those that seek to restore a monarchy to the Pan-Hungarians who seek to unify all ethnic Hungarians to those that want a Russian-style union of Soviets, the Party was beginning to lose power. And now, on the brink of a second Great War, with an aging Party elite and increasingly numerous oppositions, it seems Hungary is on the edge of a major political shift.

MLs are more like Luxemburgists in this RP.
“It is difficult for me to imagine what “personal liberty” is enjoyed by an unemployed hungry person. True freedom can only be where there is no exploitation and oppression of one person by another; where there is not unemployment, and where a person is not living in fear of losing his job, his home and his bread. Only in such a society personal and any other freedom can exist for real and not on paper.” -J. V. STALIN
Ernest Hemingway wrote:Anyone who loves freedom owes such a debt to the Red Army that it can never be repaid.

Quite. However, in the absence of mentions to the contrary, I take the precedent of actual history. Antonín Janoušek was an actual figure of the 1919 Hungarian Soviet Republic (which I really didn't plan on changing at much or at all, as the situation seemed to be more or less the same). Now, if you want me to remove any mention of failed Slovak Soviet Republic (as going by your nation idea any attempt to do such would have failed ITTL or OTL either way), then I'll do that, and if you've mentioned Antonín Janoušek previously at all profuse apologies from me are in order. Point is that he's a minor character with military experience who is really only a device to get Horthy into the military and cause tension between Hungary and surrounding states.

EDIT: Just so we're cool, I can remove him if you want and replace him with somebody or another. Just outlining my argument and reasoning.

I mean, personally, I never took the Slovak SR into consideration as a thing that happened in this AH.

Honestly tho, you can keep Janoušek at the beginning (until my country becomes Communist), and then... "return" him. Because with a communist state in Czechoslovakia, Janoušek would have come back.

Thanks fam. I'll make some edit or another.

EDIT: done. Slovak SR really wasn't all that much worth considering, just a puppet of a short-lived Hungarian commie state that was crushed by the Czechoslovaks, Romanians, and Yugoslavs in mid-1919. The Slovak SR lasted literally 1 month.

Probably gonna have my post up tomorrow ^-^
Firstly: Don't use me as a weapon. Secondly: Be careful, or I'll give ya a hug. Also, I'm, like, really bored. If you have an RP you might think I'd be even remotely interested in, please send me a PM so I can write posts instead of stalking threads! It'd be much appreciated.

You might wanna try this (shamelessly peddles his own RP): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=414732

There's room to play CNT or socialist Spain here too.
