Unknown Regions- Amarggo System

Just as the Sivio fleet was about to fire on the Protectorate fleet in the system many of the ships were also preparing to fire on the unknown ships as they suspected them of being pirates. The frigates and other ships not defending the carrier and dreadnaught all moved to the Narruvvoe as more frigates, cruisers, and destroyers began to come out from the massive factory ship follow by a battleship that was just brought out the assembly line and crew by nothing more but AIs controlling the ship.

The fleet was ready for all out war when they suddenly receive the transmission from the unknown fleet to hold their weapons al g with identification as to who they are and where they came from. For the Sivio they would be met with silence from the fleet, their readings showing that their weapons were still ready to open fire at any second. The fleet was communicating with each other as to what to do with the strange fleet in the system.

The Sivio would soon have a reason to sigh in relief as the weapons would be hold and a vote ce would appear from their radios, a femeine one. "This is admiral Kura of the Void Dreadnought Progenitor, we will let you leave the system in peace but we will not let you use this system for training mission. The Amarggo System is ours to do as we please and we have no military sights fir this system other to defend it from would be invaders and pirates." The female adirmal told the fleet.

Science Vessel Ultima

"All systems are cleared professor. The Ultima is now in optimal status to engage warp field." One of the infomorph crew member told the professor who was the lead figure if the ship. Professor Zakharov was one of the a leading me,ver of the scientific community of the Protectorate and an avid suppporter of an increasing technocratic paradigm to enter the politics of the interstellar civilization.

Zakharov along with most of the crew inside the ship were all in infomorphs, virtual bodies that acted as avatars for their digital minds. The ship was not made to house a biological crew and in storage rooms synthetic morphs should they need to perform activities in the real world. The old white hair man with glasses with lens green and red looked at the many holographic screens surrounding him, from the edge of his vision the autocensors made one of the crew look like a black cube to cover his obscene form.

Once the command inputs were in the warp field surround the ship and the vessel was pushed forward through space. However during the trip the Ultima would encounter a Nexus anomaly that would push the ship even further through the Unknown Region, not only sending them away from their targeted stay system but to an entirely different section of the Unknown Region.

When the Ultima finally stopped the planet in front of the ship would detect the energy of the warp field disrupting. The crew inside would look at the planet and realize that they were not in the system they wanted to be, they were unaware that they were in the system that was home to the Dasian Union.

Starship Hunter
Unknown Dimension

He was tired. He wanted simply to die at times but those damned nanites would not allow him to die. They had one simple program obey the host and do not allow the host to be damaged. They did not give any thought to the feeling of the host in this matter. Sometimes he wished life could be so simple. Why did emotions and freewill have to complicate matters so much. He had lived for a long time and he had grown weary of the world. There was a time when he wanted to wander the universe exploring it, helping people and seeking adventure. But they had betrayed him. They did not deserve to be saved. He had isolated himself from the universe hut time had no meaning in this dimension so often he was forced to hide in the far reaches of the accursed dimension where no being could find him. At times when solitude got too much he would visit one of the frontier outposts where he could remain anonymus avoiding contact that might draw him back into his old life. He would spend the time observing those around him. See the true nature of freewill reveiled in all its horror. He only trusted Isa and Eggie now but while they tolerated his isolation they did not support it. The AI should not interfere i mean did they even understand him. Deep down he knew they were smarter than most AI and probably understood more than he gave them credit for. He had friends, people that could be trusted but many had died or were too busy in their own lives thus the helpline he had given them was never used. At first they would call him to see how he got on but as his time passed the calls became fewer and fewer until none called now. Maybe they had forgotten about him. Good now he could spend the eternity in hell without being anyone bothering him.
"Captain Hunter there is a situation that could use your help" came a robotic female voice. "Not interested" was the reply as usual. "Please atleast see if it could be of interest to you. You only suffer trapped in here alone" said the voice "for those of us still interested in your wellbeing this present state is difficult to watch". "What you and Eggie git tired of my baking?" was the sarcastic reply. "How many more cakes can you bake if you wish to spend an eternity in here? then there was the sewing phase before that and the brewing phase before that. Eapecially that tanning and dyeing phase was the worst. Do you know how long it took me to get rid of the smell? said the voice. "You are an Artificial Intelligence you cannot SMELL anything Isa" was the reply. "How rude you dont need to remind me of that I'm hurt" said Isa. "Sorry Isa didn't mean to hurt your feelings" said Hunter "But sometimes one needs to face the truth". "Then you need to face the truth as well Capt. Adventure and exitement is in your blood. You crave it and dont deny it." said Isa. Somewhere an alarm began to ring. "Oh very clever Isa using my words against me. And dont bother ringing that phone. I know there is nothing on the otherside but a voice simulated by you to try and arouse my curiosity. No one calls anymore." replied Capt Hunter. "That is not my doing Capt" said Isa. "Oh sure it isnt just like it wasnt you last time when a dead man called me to help him" said Hunter. "It is not me this time I know better than to try and use the same trick twice while you still retain its memory. Aren't you curious as to who it could be?" replied Isa. "Fine I will check it but if it is one your tricks again I will shut you down" threatened Hunter. "Until you get bored again you know Eggie is not same as me. No offense Eggie" said Isa. Hunter looked at the gaurdian for a moment before picking up the phone. "Hello is this The Hunter? I need your help" said a voice. "Yes you have reached The Hunter what seems to be the problem?"

"As stated before Admiral Kura," Atwood said, "we did not realize anyone was here at the present time. We usually have scouts sent to random systems up to a year in advance." Then he spoke to his comm officer. "Recall all Vipers immediately."

"Anyway, Admiral, I will exit the system as soon as my Viper pilots enter the landing bays," he stated. "Perhaps our two nations can open up diplomatic relations. Of course, it's entirely up to our leaders, but nonetheless, it could be beneficial for everyone involved." Then his comm officer stated that all vipers have returned. "Think about it." Then Atwood cut off communications with the opposing fleet. "Are we ready to jump, Lieutenant Tigh?"

"Yes, sir," Tigh responded.

"Let's head home then," said Atwood. Then the entire fleet jumped out of the system.

Aradox Outpost
The investigative team's ship had finally made it to the Aradox system, which was named after the outpost. The team was to investigate the explosion that had occurred on Deck 34 and nearly destroyed the best tylium refinery in Sivio. This team included the Minister of Resources, several people from his department, an explosive expert, and a CSI. "Welcome, Minister!" stated Jackson, the outpost's leader. "I apologize about the unorthodox docking you experienced. With the docking stations close to the damaged areas, we wouldn't want to cause more instability. Anyway, if you follow me, I will take you to my office while your team goes to Deck 34. We have taken pictures before we started the repairs."

"You talk too much, Jackson," the Minister said. "I'm here to know the how, why, and who." Jackson sighed in annoyance as they continued walking towards his office.

She paused, taking a look at the map. [ETA: 5 minutes.] Slipspace was weird as hell. She turned to Myra, taking the stick once more. "Did that make sense?"

Myra Wail
The Marathon

Myra nodded. Although she had little experience with romance, she understood the concept well enough to know it was not likely to get her killed. That is, if Zasha was being perfectly, 100% honest with her, which Myra doubted very much. Everyone kept their secrets; it was nothing new or special. Even Myra had her own; which she dare not divulge to anyone, especially someone who collected things for money.

“Then, I’m in.” Myra said, sticking her hand in her pant pocket. Her hair slowly turned violet with a faint bit of yellow seeping through. Like always, the change started slowly, near her scalp and ventured down through her long strands of hair which was tied in a tight bun, save for a few strands of hair which were placed neatly behind her left ear. She had dealt with Hadrian-Class cruisers before. The black box was often found underneath the central HUB display on the secondary console. That is, unless the ship bounced around during a crash landing, then it could have moved anywhere in the ship. Amazing ships for speed and quick attacks, not so great for salvaging parts.

If this ship belonged to an Elite, there was the potential that it had… No, Myra thought. it couldn’t. No point in getting your hopes up. It will most likely be damaged in the crash. It always is. She shook the thought from her head, the part she wanted was almost always on board ships belonging to the wealthy. They were the only ones who could afford the fines if it was ever discovered on board. Electromagnetic Quantum Field and Gravity Splicers were very rare and even more valuable. If one could be found intact, it could sell for big money. She was not quite sure she understood even the basic science behind the device, but it apparently was able to break apart and reconnect various quanta through the use of gravitational waves to allow for an increase in regular speed, turning ability and multi-dimensional FTL travel. It did have the potential to do so much more, which is why it became illegal to own in so many star systems. And it was incredibly flimsy and fragile. I’ll have to go looking for one of those. She thought. That is, if nothing on the ship tries to kill us first.

Alpha O1-10 "Decimus"
Battlefleet Sentinel
Andropov System

Battlefleet Sentinel, unlike Battlefleet Tempest was a miniscule fleet comprising of approximately ten starships. While such a small fleet was ineffective for military operations or incursions, it's size was crucial for stealth based operations inside of the Unknown Regions. Led by Alpha O1-10, known by his nickname "Decimus" was appointed direct command of Battlefleet Sentinel due to his previous position as Head of the Sigma Special Operation Division, he had been attuned to having his men work with limited resources at their disposal, not only did this prove pivotal to future data collection missions, but it also cemented Decimus' position in Alpha Squadron, it was his knowledge, his insight that allowed the Dynastic Remnant to survive the aftermath of the Great War and build up it's battered and bloodied forces into a reasonably effective defense force.

Having been dispatched to the Andropov System ahead of time, Decimus stared out of the viewport of the Spectral Traveler, a rather long and sleek custom made capital ship that put emphasis on a sleek and durable design was designed exclusively for Decimus' usage after the loss of his Masaki Worldship. The Spectral Traveler was reputed for having very few interior rooms, with only the bridge, the hangars, engine rooms, reactor room, barracks, and anything else essential to the survival of the Starship having any interiors at all, increasing the durability of this particular starship to Capital Ship classifications. As Decimus watched as drones scanned the graveyard of starships that belonged almost entirely to the United Systems of Andropov, and observed landing ships making their way down to the shattered surface of the formerly icy world of Andropov itself, he was deep in thought "This debris... This wasn't an average battle, it was a slaughter." Decimus chuckled to himself.

Alpha O1-10 remembered the details of the Great War vividly, the United Systems demonstrated such ferocity, and such cruelty against the ranks of the Dynastic Armed Forces that it would have violated basic rights in the Galaxy. Decimus figured that such brutality being placed upon Andropov in kind was reasonable retribution. "This is Admiral Wulff Saronis of the United Protectorate Astral Navy. We have detected your fleet in this system and have come to investigate as to the reasons why." Decimus brought his attention to the now activated holographic projection that showed the appearance of Admiral Saronis, his hands clasped behind his back and his eyes seemingly peering into the Spectral Traveler. Decimus was perplexed, the Dynasty had a record of most civilizations in the known galaxy, but there were no worthwhile mentions of an Admiral Saronis.

Decimus whirled towards his information officers aboard the bridge, who were also staring at the holographic projection of the man in question, they eventually turned towards General Decimus who began to issue orders "Initiate at database-wide scan for both his voice patterns and general appearance. Divert all non essential power to shielding and inform the fleet to prepare for potential combat, I will speak to this man myself." Decimus opened up his communication channel in return, choosing to stall for time while the results he was looking for could be found. "Greetings Admiral Saronis, I am Masaki Unit Alpha O1-10, commonly known as General Decimus, head of Battlefleet Sentinel and former head of the Sigma Special Operations Division. I have arrived to this system in order to ascertain the culprit of the destruction of the last remnants of the United Systems of Andropov and am currently unaware of the cause that resulted in the glassing of Andropov, please authenticate."

Admiral Wulff Saronis
Astral Navy Proxia Romnia Defense Fleet
Andropov System

Wulff didn't need to tell his crew to scan through the Cariminia's database to find any records of the ships and the entities inside. The Protectorate may still be new to intergalactic politics but they were able to gather some information on what were the other civilizations thanks to the many aliens flooding their system to explore the unknown regions. Just as Saronis expected to find there was no worthwhile mentions of any ships or entities they were seeing before them. "Chances are they would not know who we are as well so at least both parties are now have no information on who the other are."

It was a mix feeling that realization was. For one Saronis knows that the fleet still has the element of surprise should the fleet become hostile but on the other hand that means they have no idea what the fleet is capable of or how these aliens think. The admiral will have to have to think on his feet and take a leap of faith that these aliens are not warmongers. The fleet was also diverting all of their powers into shields and have nanites ready to repair the hull should it be damaged. Saronis even in this tense moment stand stoic to act as a calming agent for his crew and to stay strong for them.

When the entity known as Masaki Unit Alpha O1-10 or General Decimus spoke to the admiral the reason they were here it only raised more questions for the admiral. If they didn't do it than who glassed the planet? "We will like to see some data to collaborate with your claim because one of our star systems is close to the Andropov system and so far the only fleet we have detected on this system is yours." Once more the admiral made sure to not sound as though he was accusing them, his government would need proof that Decimus was telling the truth that his fleet only came because another faction glassed the world.

Yet in the admiral's mind thoughts began to whirl around on who could have glass the world and why? In his mind the Imperium was a likely culprit since the system belonged to their enemy but from what he had gather this would have been too extreme for the Imperium to do to a weaken faction and more importantly there would have been a battle they would have detected.

Unknown Regions- Amarggo System

The admiral of the Progenitor stayed silent as the rear admiral explained his story that they were not aware of another civilization taking control of the system. "It would appear that my people might have found the system either at the same time as yours or even earlier." she responded back. When the rear admiral suggested on their people to have a diplomatic meeting. The admiral said nothing to the offer and instead made sure that the ships kept their word and left as soon as their fighters return.

Once the fleet left the admiral let out a sigh of relief. "Finally they're gone." Kura order her muse to have a droid bring her coffee through the mindlink feature of her implants, a form of cyber-telepathy that is a common future in all mesh inserts; implanted personal computers. These implants are grown in the brain via non-intrusive nanosurgery. The processor, wireless transceiver, storage devices, and other components are directly wired to the user’s cerebral neuronal cells and cortical centers responsible for language, speech, and visual perception among others. Many Chandrians can control these inserts just my thinking and can communicate with others without speaking, they can even share sensory inputs and memories with each other; letting others experience your life while the mesh also makes a blog about your life.

While the decentralized intermesh network works great for interplanetary civilizations the system had to deal with vast distance when the Chandrians began to colonize other star systems pose a problem for the system when it came to communicating back to the home world. Now they have fleets of ships dedicated to continually update the local mesh network in a system and wormholes have also been used to send information through them. However in this system the gate generator was not yet constructed and went be for some time now.

When a synthmorph stepped into the bridge holding a plastic bottle containing the coffee Kura took it and thanked the shell as it left to return back to the storage room so the infomorph using it will return back to the simulated reality that exists due to the computers in the ship. As Kura took a sip of her coffee the offer was still in her head. "Patch me to the Grand Conclave. I want to deliver the news of both this encounter and the offer of diplomatic relations with another civilization." the infomorph, biomorph and synthmorph crew members all began to input the commands to send the message back to the core worlds of the Protectorate and deliver the message.

The admiral return to looking at the augmented projections of the system. "Let's see what they think of this idea." as for Kura she was rather neutral on the idea of establishing a diplomatic ties with another civilization, the woman finally having enough time to no longer be distrustful over alien life but still not fully warming up to the idea of being friends with xenos.

The technician began speaking. "Uhm, my lord..."

"What is it?"

"A Risen fleet has been following us."

"What?! Why did you tell me only now?!"

"Well...", he shuddered. "They have been using magic to conceal themselves from our sensors for some time. They warped out as soon as their spell wore off, which was just moments ago..."

"All the more reason to be friends with this... Collective. Send another message. Tell them that if they are willing, we will have an exchange of diplomats."

The Collective awaited their response, and as they were waiting, they picked up on several ships trailing the Altaran and fast approaching their systems. The Altaran was interested in a diplomatic exchange and Jackson contemplated it for a moment and then replied, asking for where on their worldship should Jackson meet them, and informing them that all Collective worlds have much higher gravity than a normal planet, as well as no breathable gases on top of that, and that he recommended bringing something to counter that so that their diplomat doesn't get injured. "Get the fleet into defensive positions. Again. The Remnant were peaceful, but I don't get the feeling that everyone here is going to be as amicable." He commanded and at his word, the thousands of destroyers cruisers and dreadnoughts shifted into a formation, ready to fire upon anything given the word. He couldn't help but feel at least a little bit of pride at seeing the fleet move. It was a thing of beauty and awe. And it was rare that he actually got to see an entire fleet lay waste to something.

"Milord,", the helmsman beamed over the control console. "They have informed us that their planets's gravity are higher than normal worlds, and there are no breathable gases, presumably because they do not need any. What will we have Emmisary Voardin do?"

"Tell him to, er, use a breather suit. Voardin's ancestors come from Terrena Solattos, which has higher gravity even than Altron which you probably know is really a dwarf star, so we won't have to worry about the gravity."

"As you command, Lord Ulthan."

The technician began to flit a few holographic buttons here and there, and Emissary Voardin soon showed up with his Highborne attire and the breather suit. He looked excited even without a mouth with which to smile.

"Lord Ulthan, I am now ready to go."

'"Good. Two Artificier Sentinels will be accompanying you. These robotic guardians will be your, well, body guard. You know what I mean. They are waiting for you on the shuttle."

"I see, my friend. Err, I mean milord.."

"Spare the formalities, Voardin. We have been good friends, even if I am Templar and you are Highborne."

"Ah, yes. Well, I will now go."

"Good luck to you.", and then Ulthan turned towards the technician on the console. "Send them a message that the emissary is coming in a shuttle with two robotic guardians."

"As you command, milord."

"Good. Now let us just hope that the Risen aren't casting some spells again."

    The Marathon, Orbit of Foundry

"We should be exiting slipspace momentarily," Zasha noted, flipping a few virtual switches as the metallic humming ambient noise gradually began to decrease in volume throughout the bridge. The ship abruptly lurched forward as it tore a hole through slipspace, entering into real space as, from the outside, a blue portal in space opened up and seemingly spewed out the ship before promptly closing. The Marathon hovered over the ruin-filled world of Foundry, gracefully cruising for a few kilometers before Zasha took it into manual control and executed a maneuver to the gravity well of a nearby planetoid.

The ship glided over into an perfectly circular orbit with an eccentricity of zero around Foundry, allowing Zasha to kick the ship into Autopilot as she switched stations briefly. The new console in front of her - the comms console, began to project a predicted path of the black box's descent into foundry on the Heads up Display of the frontal window, suggesting that the ship that they were looking for had not gone down in orbit above the planet, but, rather, had forcefully crash landed itself on the surface of the planet...

This was all very strange. But the planet they were at was even stranger.

Foundry didn't show up on any galactic maps, charters, or routes. Essentially, this system was a myth, but for what reason? Then she remembered the tales - Foundry was responsible for the disappearances of dozens of ships - and, coincidentally, what were they going after?

A missing ship, of course.

Zasha swiveled around to Myra, narrowing her eyes. "Evidently, the ship we're looking for set itself on a crash course towards the continent you can see on the HUD. If I'm not mistaken, that's a giant artificial island we'll be landing on, but it's our job regardless to go investigate the crash, recover the black box and anything else noteworthy, and get the hell out of here. Already this place is sending up red flags in my head, like someplace that we shouldn't be intruding on.."

The ship's autopilot did most of the maneuvering work as it de-orbited itself from Foundry's gravity well and descended into the planet. The Marathon passed through dozens of clouds as it screamed across the blue sky and over sparkling blue oceans, approaching a section of a jungle that had been cleared out around an old set of ruins of some old, forgotten race. The ship landed safely in the clearing without any problems, and proceeded to open up its main cargo ramp as the chirping and buzzing of the jungle wildlife filled the otherwise silent ambience of the ship.

Alpha O1-10 "Decimus"
Battlefleet Sentinel
Andropov System

Decimus remained quiet for a few moments, weighing in his options, Battlefleet Sentinel was far to understaffed and undermanned to provide optimal defensive strategies and while he was aware that O7 and Battlefleet Tempest were inbound to offer support in the investigation about what happened here over Andropov, a conflict breaking out was not a preferable option here, the Dynasty didn't need any enemies in it's current state, so Decimus made a compromise "Admiral Saronis..." Decimus began "I am not sure if you are aware of who we are, so allow me to enlighten you. We are the remnants of the once mighty Old Masaki Dynasty, the empire that existed before the United Systems of Andropov. While the United Systems was responsible for the destruction of our Dynasty, we would never strike back with this much ferocity as we have neither the resources or the capabilities to do so anymore. Our fleet numbers were limited after the Great War and our Glassing capabilities have been severely hampered as a result."

Decimus was trying to buy some time as well as convince his potential foe that the Dynasty, even with the power it still held in it's grasp would never have the inclination to destroy entire worlds just for a petty vendetta, the only reason why they had discreetly supported the Imperium during the Great Galactic War was simply because it had evolved into a major rebellion front that actually had the capabilities to send the United Systems packing back into the Unknown Regions "General Decimus!" An information officer called out. At this, Decimus turned towards the Masaki Guardian who spoke "We have retrieved some debris from the naval graveyard, it doesn't look like it belonged to the United Systems or any other known empire."

Decimus was perplexed, if the debris didn't belong to the United Systems, nor any of the recorded Star Empires "Bring the debris back to this ship and perform a fully analysis on it, we need answers." He turned back to the holographic projection of Admiral Saronis "We have received some form of debris that looks both foreign to the United Systems' own starfleet as well as any other that has existed in Galactic History. We shall be prepared to share this information with you in exchange that our two fleets do not develop any hostilities while this debris is retrieved by my forces.

Eastern Dasian, Tiaga Sovereign Republic, Planet Yuasha

The Eastern Dasian Sector was once the largest battlefield in Dasian history, taking place during the urgent military conquests of the Dasian Union's 6th Succession War. Currently fast-forward ten years later to the present, the shipwrecks of over hundreds if not thousands of Dasian Union ships and as well as the remains of thousands and millions of star fighters were all but a distant nightmare long forgotten in the minds of the victors, with the Eastern Dasian Sector now paving the way for thirteen more sovereign republics to the Dasian Union; however, the post-war recovery was still in progress for a few other star systems in these newly formed sovereign republics. Nevertheless, just like the previous star systems integrated into the Dasian Union from the 5th Succession War, these sovereign republics were no stranger to the Dasian Union's policies of socialist prosperity and domination.

The Tiaga Sovereign Republic - like many of the other tens of sovereign republics in the Dasian Union - was rebuilt based upon the Dasian Union's mercantilism and as well as the benefits from the socialist government that allowed the millions upon billions of new or old residents to prosper regardless of their hardship. The eastmost habitual planet in the Tiaga Sovereign Republic, Yuasha (literally translating to, "Park Hill"), is one of the many example planets to represent the Dasian Union's success in social welfare and high standards of living despite having such a densely crowded population. Though while Yuasha preserves the aura of a calm and joyful place to live in the Dasian Union, such luxuries do not go without the 6th Succession War leaving behind an omnipotent reminder to the integrated star systems.

As the most eastern planet throughout the Dasian Union, Yuasha has a special status like many of the planets or star systems that form the Dasian Union's borders, with the borderline cutting through Yuasha like dots on a map being connected by a series of lines. Following after the 6th Succession War, Yuasha became one of the many galatical checkpoints for naval patrols guarding the fortified borders of the Dasian Union, with destroyers and cruisers occasionally stationing themselves on Yuasha for refueling, resupplying, repairs, or sometimes to fill up the ranks of the defending military units stationed on Yuasha; however, relations between the Navy and the Army are rather uneasy given the decentralised nature and organisation of both military branches in the Dasian Union. Among the ordinary army grunts and naval marines, there was the occasional cases of friendly rivalry, which was only to be stopped at once by the paramilitary and the secret police keeping a close eye upon the common soldiers; however, within the upper echelons of the officer corps, the Generals and Admirals (including their respectable commanding staff) stationed on Yuasha expressed rivalry and competition that often spilled over into excess military red-tape, with the paramilitary and the secret police unable to easily remove these officers along with their ranks due to the irreplaceable value and experience obtained from the horrors of the 6th Succession War.

Nevertheless, being a planet that had over 1.8 billion Dasian people, half of the residents on Yuasha were military personnel that came from both the Army and the Navy, along with the other half of Yuasha's population being farmers and factory workers (whom made up the workforce in Yuasha's demanding chemical industries, metal industries, and electronic industries). Subsequently, if Yuasha is not servicing military ships or housing soldiers, then Yuasha is otherwise one of the many producers in Dasian-branded electronics and metals, with computers and software being Yuahsa's most high-tech product to be sold on the PESECON market ("人民主權經濟聯盟" aka, "The People's Sovereign Economic Union"). Not surprisingly, Yuasha is also one of the farthest planets in the eastern sectors of the Dasian Union to have its own university for computer programming and science, which has made Yuasha an unexpected commercial hub for Dasian-made computer games and animations among the civilian population.

Aside from Yuasha's civilian commerce, Yuasha is riddled with military dockyards that are occupied by both the Army and Navy alike, with one of those dockyards being something of peculiar interest. On a clear evening at one of the mountainous military dockyard located on the southern edge of Yuasha's north pole, the routine military activity was all but quiet yet productive, with the navy and army constantly on high alert for any foreign military invasion force who may set their sights upon the Dasian Union's borders. While the Dasian military is divided in terms of organisation and cooperation, their ability to fight as the Dasian Union's powerful war machine makes them otherwise competent and courageous in what they do; however, the Dasian military is always on the look out for any ship who strays into the Unknown Regions and towards the Dasian Union, with civilian or military vessel forced to comply to the Navy's warnings or otherwise be shot on sight.

Just south of the military dockyard, there was three runways that stopped off at the edge of a gigantic ravine, and it was only amid the chilly evening that a small formation of J-31 Long-Range Starfighters flew over the base, with one of the starfighters taking off from the right runway just moments after the small formation flew into the distance. Off to the left side of the long yet spacious runway, a pair of 11m tall Type 24/25 Battle Mechs slowly marched around the fenced perimeter of the runway while occasionally scanning to the left from time to time, along with a few lorries filled with soldiers following behind each mechs as infantry escort. There still some snow on ground even though it was June, though late snowfall was not unusual in where the military dockyard was situated in the southern regions of Yuasha's north pole...and all of this combined with the routine military activity and protocol was just another normal day for Army Air Service Sergeant Rei Belqi.

===(0)===

26-years old Army Air Service Sergeant Rei Belqi was strapped in the harness and seat of his J-31 Starfighter, coupled with his co-pilot/navigator and rear gunner that were situated in their separate cockpits behind him. Although his flight suit hid his physical appearance underneath, his forehead was straddling the borderline between cold and hot due to his adaptive life support systems in his flight suit and the cockpit combating against the cold environment displaced upon the outside of the J-31 starfighter, and all of this was placing him on the verge of sweating from time to time throughout the early evening. Like all the other patrols he flew, Rei and his squadron were barely an hour into their evening patrol, and the silence that settled among the squadron was nothing unusual to everyone.

All the while as Rei steadily flew the heavy long range starfighter, the twin gravity displacement turbines whirred peacefully outside as the starfighter propelled itself through the atmospheric skies of northern Yuasha at 535-miles-per-hour, all the while being followed by a small formation of five other J-31s in a trailing flight formation. While the slowest and biggest of all the other starfighters in the Dasian Union's military arsenal, the J-31 was the bearer of the largest and heaviest blaster rifles, which were mounted in wing-mounted pods that housed an additional a medium-barreled low-powered blaster rifle meant to be used against smaller and weaker starfighters or fast pace strafing runs (as opposed to the long-barreled heavy blaster rifle that was designed to bypass energy shielding upon starfighters and small starships, or melt its way through unshielded armour plating on starships or fortifications). Occasionally nicknamed in the Army as the Flying Knight (or in the Navy as the Star Lance), Rei entrusted his J-31 starfighter like many other pilots as the starfighter that always got him and his fellow comrades in one piece, all thanks to the J-31's life support systems coupled with its deflector shielding and hyperdrive to allow it to travel the abysses of space (something that all the other Dasian starfighters except Heavy Bombers never possessed and could not do without a carrier).

"北京一,這是布拉沃鷹,我們在這裡看不到什麼. (Beijing One, this is Bravo Hawk, we don't see anything up here.)" Rei reported to the military flight control with his flight formation already reporting in the evening patrol.

"你確定,布拉沃霍克? (Are you sure, Bravo Hawk?)" Beijing One doubted, which was unsurprising given the Army's sensitive protocols and defensive doctrines, "你應該看到那裡的東西. (You should see something up there.)"

"負面的,天空很清楚. (Negative, the skies are clear so far.)" Rei replied for the last time while keeping his ordinary patience for the Army flight control's routine security confirmation of the atmospheric skies and surrounding environment. Following his reply, radio silence had returned for a long moment that never seemed to effect the patience of the 26-year-old flight sergeant, but it was just as a nuisance for the lesser experienced and tolerant pilots out there in the other squadrons.

"複製,布拉沃霍克. 您的英特爾在這次巡邏中進行了很好的檢查. (Copy that, Bravo Hawk. Your intel checks out well in this patrol. )" Beijing One reluctantly replied back; however, an unusual silence settled in upon Rei and his squadron, which went unnoticed at first...until Beijing One came back on the line with something that Rei hoped he and and his squadron didn't want to hear.

"等一下...我們收到祖魯中隊的傳輸,他們說我們在軌道上有一個單獨的聯繫. 他們還要求進一步加強,因為他們無法確認這種聯繫人的船型. (Wait a minute...we're receiving a transmission from Zulu Squadron and they say we got a lone contact up in orbit. They're also requesting for further reinforcements, since they cannot confirm the ship type of this contact.)"

"羅傑,北京一. (Roger that, Beijing One.)" Rei responded stoically as adjusted himself slightly in his seat, "給我們的協調,我們將很快與祖魯中隊會合. (Send us the coordinance and we will rendezvous with Zulu Squadron just shortly.)"

With the transmission being just a moment to upload to the starfighter's on-board guidance computer, Rei wasted no time in contacting his fellow wingmen throughout his headset and relaying the following commands, "好的同志們,箭頭形成,我們被叫進行軌道接觸. (Okay comrades, arrowhead formation, we are called in for orbital contact.)"

"複製,布拉沃霍克. (Copy, Bravo Hawk.)"

"先生,我們在你的領先. (We're at your lead, sir.)"

Rei then promptly instructed his co-pilot/navigator behind him through his headset one more command as soon as the coordinance on his green oscilloscope map appeared, "梅,繼續向中隊的其餘部隊傳遞協調. (Mei, go ahead and relay the coordinance to the rest of the squadron.)"

"複製一下,先生. (Copy that, sir.)" His co-pilot/navigator, now known as Mei, said back.

"好的同志們,我們走吧. (Okay comrades, let's go.)" Rei sternly commanded as he pulled the J-31 up and towards the abyss of space beyond the friendly skies of Yuasha, "跟隨我的領導。 (Follow on my lead.)"

Amid the early evening skies, the fading yet rumbling whir of the J-31 turbines echoed as Rei and his squadron flew into orbit and towards the lone contact that Zulu Squadron had encountered up there.

Homeworld, Sivio
"This encounter wasn't by chance, Admiral," stated the President. "Clearly the universe has something in store for us." The President was always the superstitious person. He even thought he won the previous election because of a comet that passed by the planet five years ago. Said comet was promptly renamed James' comet. "Anyway, I'm also sending Paul Martins, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Once he arrives in Ico, head back to the system you encountered them and tell them to meet you in Sector 596."

"Sector 596, sir?" said the Grand Admiral and Rear Admiral in unison.

"That's dangerously close to Tortuga," said the Grand Admiral. "Maybe we can choose a different sector instead, Mr. President?" He was worried about what might happen if they were that close to a pirates' haven, even more so after what happened to New Mecca almost a decade ago.

"Don't argue," said Williams. "Trust me. Sector 596. Contact them after Martins arrives." Then Williams signed off and sighed. He picked up a phone and dialed up Martins' office. "Hey, Paul it's James," said the President. "I want you to set up diplomatic relations with some nation. The Fleet encountered them during a training mission recently. It's imperative that we make nice. Also, the Rear Admiral who encountered them. Uh, Atwood, tell him that he's now ambassador to said nation."

Captain Menkara, Collective first Contact
The appearance of another unknown race to the collective system shocked Menkara just how crowded was this region of the galaxy, and how many powerful peoples where they're here. the captain decided that it was time for him to go, while things looked to be peaceful here he didn't want to be in the way if they came to blows.

He had his ships silently prep to enter hyperspace and get out of the system, he prep a probe to be launched when they left with information for Shovan. The coordinates to the closest hive world, Hive World Menkara D-012, was placed on it. The hyperspace drives activated and the small fleet was quickly launched out of the sector and back onto the path to Triarchy space

Captain Khonsu, Tedalonian system invasion fleet
Khonsu could barely hid his glee as his fleet tore through the primitive defensive fleet of the planet, with only superficial damage done in return. The fleet then placed itself right above the upper atmosphere of the planet carefully placing their ships to avoid any potential surface defense weapons. The ships weapons then turned themselves towards the vital infunstarcition of the planet as well as important military areas

Putting into practice a planetary invasion strategy that had been hounded over dozens of wars and a century of exploration quickly set about decapitating the ability of the planet to form a organized planet wide resistance. With the bombing campaign set to last for several weeks, word was sent back to the Triarchy sector command for a terrestrial invasion force to secure the world.

Captain Nasareh, exploration fleet, Averius unknown system
Captain Nasareh looked at the viewer in his private corridors watching the stars pass by. It had only been a few years since he graduated the academy and still he was amazed by just looking at the black expanse of space punctuated by the stars. He was contacted by the bridge asking him to come to his seat as the fleet prepared to enter hyperspace.

He did so and the fleet shock slightly as the ships entered faster than light travel, if all went normally they would be in hyperspace for 45 minutes. 25 minutes into the trip though things began to go wrong. The shielding his flagship began to fail, if a whole appeared in that shielding it would tear the ship apart. Thinking quick Nasareh ordered the fleet to make an emergency jump out of hyperspace

The fleet shuddered and shook as it exited FTL travel in an uncoordinated fashion, a few of the patrol craft didn't make it. The captain took a few moments to allow the ships to recover from their near-death experience. As they did so the sensor operators informed the captains of the ships that the planet was inhabited by an unknown race. The captain ordered that the first contact protocol be sent.

Admiral Wulff Saronis
Astral Navy Proxia Romnia Defense Fleet
Andropov System

The admiral waited for a response from the fleet, hoping that what he would get is words instead of kinetic rounds or energy beams. If he was a spiritual man he would have thought that the spirits and gods of old answered his prayers when the admiral of the other fleet spoke and gave him information about his people. The infomorphs and AIs on board began to record everything admiral Decimus was telling him about his people, of their state of a remnant of an old power that was destroyed by the former United Systems and how in their current form there was no way for them to strike back at their old enemy even if they wanted to.

"Looks like it is what I fear, we have an unknown party that manage to attack the system while blind to our sensors." Saronis felt a chill go down his spine once he was forced to accept that somewhere in the Unknown Region there was an enemy that can hide themselves so effectively that the only way one can tell they attacked was by seeing what was left of their attack. Saronis knows that this information would cause widespread panic back in his home world, no doubt some would think that it would be the return of the Shadow Makers or a threat far worse than them.

When Decimus soon told the admiral that they have found debris that was alien to even them and that they will be prepared to share the findings that their team will find so long as both parties do not show any signs of hostilities towards each other. The admiral would be quiet to the Sentinels on the other line but in truth he and his admirals, commanders, and captains were all communicating with each other through synthetic telepathy thanks to their mesh inserts, each one speaking in a virtual environment that was visible in the real world thanks to augmented reality implants.

Eventually the admiral will speak as the meeting came to an end. "I agree with your proposal however we will also like our own drones to go out and gather some of the debris our own. We which to send the debris back to our research facilities to gather more information on this unknown fleet." Chances are the two fleet will have to go to the Imperium and having each other to collaborate each other's evidence will make convincing the other void empires of an unknown threat in the Unknown Regions.

Eastern Dasian

The Lia Fial-Class Science Vessel is currently the most advanced vessel of her type. Carrying an array of communication devices ranging from traditional radio wave and advanced laser systems and microwave systems to even use more exotic communication systems as such using neutrino and quantum entanglement for communication, the latter being used as a form of FTL communication system.

The Lia Fial also hosts a new revolutionary communication system known as the Nexus Wave, using the very nexus energy to communicate with anyone regardless of distance, quite similar in use like QE comm systems but suffers from different issues as the Nexus Wave method is still new and experimental and has the many difficulties associated with Nexus technology while QE is difficult due to also needing a reserves of qubits as with each use the entanglement with a pair of particles is destroyed and even with their advance understanding of quantum physics dealing with the various strange phenomenons from that strange realm of science can still be a hassle. QE communication systems are used encase they need to get into contact with their fellow Chandrians

When it comes to scanners a diverse range was given to the Lia Fial with the most surprising inclusion being analog technology as the professor and many scientist feel that the analog technology should be present encase the many digital technology that is mainly used in the ship should encounter a virus and the crew needs new technology while they are dealing with the virus. the many sensors can not only view everything around the sense but even through the various levels of the electromagnetic spectrum; from infrared to ultraviolet frequencies. The sensors when picking up audio frequencies can also pick frequencies from many levels. Equally these sensors were made so objects obscured by smoke, clouds, or other visual effects will still appear.

The jets would find that the Lia Fial was 1,000 meters in length and 800 meters in width. The engines of the ship was using A-Pod technology, using graviton particles to generate an anti-gravity field to all the ship to remain floating in the planet's atmosphere and to provide constant thrust for it. They will detect the ship activating all of it's force fields to deal with the coming fighters. Inside the simulated world Zakharov stand before the projected sphere that showed the Lia Fial and the mysterious fighters coming towards them as around him the many AIs and infomorphs all began to shout and look through the data streams pouring around them about the situation and the data they were getting from the fighters and the planet they were in.

Zakharov would have enjoy looking at the data of the planet and maybe even take time to examine the people who live in the planet and even their technology if such examples of technological development from the life in the new planet wasn't flying to his ship, heavily armed and not firing upon his ship simply because their superiors haven't ordered them to do so or because their weapons may not yet be in range to fire them yet. It is a terrible situation for Zkaharov and the other crew within. The ship has a few defense systems and even weapons but they aren't a dedicated warship and even if they did manage to destroy the fighters their chances against more fighters or even capital ships would spell doom for them.

They can escape out of the planet but since they are in a unknown region of space they will be cruising in space for a long time, especially if they encounter another anomaly that prevents them from using their warp drive. With conflict being out of the question and never being one as far as the professor was concern and escaping into the unknown being too much of a risk that can backfire. Using their QE or Nexus Wave communication systems will allow them to get in contact with their ships but that may trigger an interstellar war and Zkaharov would hate to be the one to have started a war especially if the race down below isn't a warmongering one. Zkaharov did the one move that he can make, use diplomacy. "I wish to speak to these fighters. I need to let them know that we are not invaders wishing to subjected or destroy their people before they can fire their weapons at us." the head professor said to the crew.

In a few minutes he would hear from one of the infomorphs that they have established contact with the ships. "Good, hopefully they are willing to listen to us and aren't trigger happy." the professor turn to the screen. On the ship the holographic projection of a old white haired main wearing glasses with both a green and red lens wearing a gray suit with many lights streaking across his body and machines attached to it. "I'm Professor Zhaharov of the Lia Fial. Our ship has encountered an anomaly that has caused the warp drive in our ship to appear in your system by mistake. We are not in any way invaders, we are simply scientists who are lost." he told the pilots.

Homeworld, Chandra

"This meeting is nothing more but a trap!" shouted one of the senators in the room. Well saying that they are all in the room is a lie. In the smooth, black interior of the room where chairs make up rows with each one elevated a row above the other none of the senators shown were actually present in the building, each one was nothing more but a virtual avatar of the representative of the star system they all come from. This system of important political members only appearing as virtual avatars is to ensure that no member of the Grand Conclave is in physical danger.

On the empty circle in the middle sat the duel figures of the Supreme Chancellor and the Grand Minster, the two figureheads of the United Chandrian Protectorate, like the members of the Grand Conclave they two only appear to them in virtual form. The holographic projections were advance to as one would be fooled into thinking they were all present, yet occasionally the forms will flicker to reveal the truth of their form.

"You have no proof that these people are leading us to a trap. From what we gather from them they are simply a race who was running off of old data to stage a system we own as a training grounds." one of the senators replied back, adjusting their augmented reality glasses, a device that some of the members were using to see everyone in the room they were not in. "These aliens can very will be telling the truth since if they did wish to invade our star system they would have brought over a larger fleet which they didn't."

The other members began to throw back claims on how the aliens of Sivio shouldn't be trusted while opponents threw counter arguments on how their fears are based on irrational lines of thoughts and possibilities that have an equal chance of never coming true as well. The Supreme Chancellor rose her pale hand up, her amber eyes looking at all. "I have heard many reasons for why we should not engage with this meeting and many reasons why we should not treat these beings as our enemies." she said, her voice both beautiful and powerful.

"For those who fear that these aliens can be leading us to a trap I understand your fears and I will lie if I said I didn't share some hesitation when I heard on joining this meeting but you all have forgotten that not every race are the next Shadow Makers and for every race that is like them there are many others who would rather extend an offer of peace to our people instead of war and death." she closed her eyes. "Moreover you all are forgetting a major reason for why this Protectorate needs to accept this meeting." she heard everyone speaking over when she said those words.

When she open her eyes everyone stopped speaking. "We now know that there are other astral empires throughout the galaxy, much more than our greatest minds previously thought. Our presence and influence in this greater political stage is now small, we barely make as some much a blimp in the eyes of powers far greater than our own. More importantly our knowledge on the greater galaxy is infantile at best as we rely on traders, corporate tycoons, mercenaries, treasure seekers, and scientists from different worlds along with refugees to give us a picture of what is going on with the other systems not within the Unknown Regions." she explained to them, being only silent for a moment to make sure all were hearing her words very clearly.

"We need both valuable information and allies from these other systems if we are to survive as a civilization and whether you all like it or not we must adapt to this new political theater for the benefit of the Protectorate. These aliens from Sivio are the first opportunity we have on expanding our reach in the void and solidifying our people's place in the galaxy." the Supreme Chancellor told the senators. Many agreed and those who disagreed could not find a way to counter her statement as they admit that what she said was true, the Protectorate has to adapt or die.

"The admiral who spoke with these aliens is now our ambassador of our people when it comes to these aliens. I also want our minister of foreign affairs to deal with the matter as well and have them go to the Amarggo System. No doubt they will return there to find out if we have agreed to their meeting or not." the senators soon began to leave as one by one their forms flickered away. "Looks like the dawn of a new age is upon us." the grand minister said. "Yes. I can only hope this new age is one where our people will benefit from it." with those words the two leaders vanished, the room being plunged to darkness as it's purpose was served.

Institute base

The guards walked through the hall ways of the facility as screams could be heard from inside the testing chamber as tests were happening. As one entered the chamber, all they could see was one of the evacuees tied down and tested on as scientists checked the results and schedule for the next test. As another subject was brought into the chamber and thrown in, a cannon was lowered to them as they backed to the wall.

"Primary ignition ready, secondary cooling systems in action. Firing" The cold robotic voice said as the cannon opened fire with a single red bolt, causing the left arm of the subject to disintegrate as they fired at other limbs with screams of pain piercing through the air before the body was left with no limbs but could still live. "Disposing of body, activating cannon." The cold metallic voice announced as Elric was eventually wheeled into the chamber to watch the tests. As the second one was wheeled in, Vivian dropped down from a vent as she shot the two guards and locked the doors for now before she blasted the straps off. She then shot the control panel as the cannon stopped.

"We don't have much time, the vice director is behind this and don't ask how i got in. Grab a gun, it's time to fire her." She said as she pressed a few buttons, causing a map to appear as she pressed a few buttons before linking it up to the mainframe. " We can go through to the office through the vents, get moving." She said before jumping in from the chair.

Arcadia System

Silently, seven Stormwind Class Heavy Destroyers, two Slava Class Battlecruisers and a Darkbane Battlecarrier of the Nerufelan Imperial Alliance wandered the system's outskirts. They gleamed in the glow of the system's star, and their propulsion glowed with flame as they went deeper into the system.

Meanwhile, in the bridge of the Darkbane, Captain Kelandros Nerdaz, the Drehntor commander of the fleet, simply looked out of the window of the bridge, starring at the planet with seas and continents in the system's Goldilocks zone, remembering the days when Dreneria was still a lush paradise and not the radioactive deathpit it came to be. The days when Nerezar merchants would visit his home, looking for goods to buy or perhaps for that one young Nerezar boy that had a thing for his daughter. Things have changed, and by his own hand, he had to painfully kill these aforementioned Nerezar just to defend himself and the city of Shattered Dawn when Risen necromancers came and bended their minds.

"Captain!", a Nerufelan comms handler beamed from the communications and sensor console. "The continental world Arcadia has shown signs of colonization!"

"By whom?", inquired Kelandros.

"We... do not know.", the Nerufelan answered. "Shall we send a message?"

"I think not.", Kelandros replied. "Let them send one first. That way we can keep our identity hidden in case they are hostile."

"As you command, captain."

Above the Institute Base

Some distance away from the planet that the Institute has built their base on, a small group of Altaran ships warp in. Consisting of a single Star Seeker and several Void Stalkers, it was just a visitation trip by Lord Pernolian... Or maybe not. Reports that Institute ships tractor beamed some evacuation ships of Tedalonia, over which several spy probes of the Nasturcane Starworld have watched over before being blown up by debris from the destroyed defense ships of the world have reached him, and he intends to know what has happened to those who escaped. He is in for an unpleasant surprise.

The Highborne mages within the ship began scrying the facility, and found something horrible with their magic. People's limbs were being vaporized, and yet... someone stopped one of these operations. Upon further scanning, they detected that the director lay dead on his office, though by what means, they cannot determine. Pernolian decided to use his telepathic abilities to communicate with the one that was found to have stopped one of the experiments.

Bravo Squadron

The past few minutes that followed in the ensuing climb was fraught with an eerily silent yet tense moment for all five J-31 Starfighters as they entered into orbit of Yuahua. On the other hand, amid the deadly silence, Rei was occasionally shifting his eyes from his 12 o'clock view and the green osclliscope computer in front of the flight sticks, and he was yet to be relief as he saw Zulu Squadron's coordinance at about 2,567 miles to the 1 o'clock of Bravo Squadron's current position. While he had experienced his fair share of foreign space vessels cruising accidentally into the Dasian Union's territory, especially in the east, Rei had never felt this much stress displaced upon him and his fellow wingmen unlike their previous other cases of occasional foreign ship encounters; however, he was only but to silently curse to himself when a new feeling was placed upon his shoulders.

As he and the rest of Bravo Squadron flew towards Zulu Squadron's coordinance upon making a steady yet shallow right bend, radio silence was immediately interrupted with the voice of Zulu Hawk, with his voice bringing some unsettling news, "我們在屏幕上閱讀你,布拉沃中隊。我的善良我們對這種船有很大的問題。(We reading you on screen, Bravo Squadron. My goodness we have quite a problem with this kind of ship.)"

"不要提醒我毛,我們已經知道了情況。你在拿什麼?(Don't remind me Lao, we are already informed of the situation. What are you picking up?)" Rei replied back to Zulu Squadron, whom went by the apparent name of Lao according to Rei, which was something that can only be described as ordinary friendship. Rei knew Lao since secondary school, and while both Army Air Service Sergeants were tasked with patrolling seperate areas at seperate times, both Rei and Lao knew each other very well and did not allow their military service to entirely seperate them from being friends. Some of the pilots among the other squadrons say that Rei and Lao were like cousins that never came to be, but even with such a presumption among peers mattered not among both sergeants since friends translated into comradeship regardless of rank or affiliation.

"那麼這艘船是一個大的。我的一些翼手甚至說這是一艘軍艦,而不是貨輪。(Well...this ship is a big one. Some of my wingmen are even saying it's a warship than a freighter.)" Lao replied back through the headset with some of his hesitation slipping up smoothly among his speech.

"我們說多大?(How big are we talking?)" Rei questioned as he briefly looked at his green oscilloscope computer.

"呃...比天工級戰列巡洋艦有點大。(Uh...like a bit bigger than a Tianggong Class Battlecruiser.)" Lao said as a guesstimate reply to Rei, but this was where Rei felt that new feeling crumble down upon him.

Beyond his calm and collective facade, his worst fears for a ship bigger than one of the Dasian Navy's major war vessels was a threat that would make the Navy freak out if they got word of the lone alien ship's size, given with the fact that the Dasian Navy ships hates being considered inferior and small to other foreign vessels. The occasional freighters and starliners were no problem since they were deemed instantly as civilian non-combatant vessels, but this lone alien ship that Zulu Squadron has encountered could not be identified as either of the previously mentioned ship types, which made the situation not only tense but also now frightening with the lone ship's unknown design and type according to all Dasian naval records so far. Rei had momentarily relieved his right hand from the right flight stick only to cross his fingers in hopes that the Navy doesn't get involved with the situation just yet, but it was only of time that he and the other Arny Air Service pilots would be promptly grounded to allow for the Navy Air Service to take over.

"仁?你還在嗎?(Lei? Are you still with me?)" Lao had uttered in concerns for his friend's unusual silence.

"是的,我還在這裡事實上,我們在屏幕上看到你。(Yeah, I'm still here. In fact, we see you up ahead on screen.)" Rei said back with a kurt nod despite only speaking through a radio headset built into his flight suit.

Up ahead, as the range decreased to just 215 miles, Lei could have sworn that he saw the outline of an unknown vessel up ahead; however, he only got a moment to see the mysterious outline before Lao quickly returned back on the radio, "是的,我也看到你。你看到我們看到了什麼嗎?(Yeah, I see you too. Do you see what we see?)"

"這不是很多... (It's not much...)" Rei replied, whom was actually squinting to see what was up ahead, but it was when his green oscilloscope computer brought up a new reading on screen that the rough outline of the unknown ship up ahead was immediately drawn to Rei.

"等待... (Wait...)" Rei uttered in a moderate state of disbelief, "好馬克思主義者,我現在看到什麼? (Good Marxist, what am I seeing right now?)"

"那個同志是我的中隊試圖從這艘船上找出來的。 (That comrade is what my squadron is trying to figure out from this ship.)" Lao pondered in his reply; however, it was when Rei and his fellow wingmen approached the unknown vessel that he got a clear idea of the size and appearance of this lone vessel.

This unknown vessel wasn't cladded in sheets of any metal alloys unlike the triangular or linear vessels kept in the known Dasian Naval records, rather this lone ship was asymmetrical in exterior design but uniformed in shape like a two prong fork. At what looked like the aft, a shallow arch had crossed the gap between the two seperate aft sections of the two-prong-fork-shaped alien vessel, and it was from this distinctive structure that Rei can imagine more than approximately 60 to 70 J-31 star fighters crossing the entire width of the unknown alien ship, giving the ship's rough estimate width of about 800 meters...but he could not be so sure until air control, Zulu Sauadron, and his squadron can conclusively receive a clear reading of the vessel's dimensions. Though what Rei and his wingmen could tell was the fact that this vessel had no visible gun emplacements, but that didn't mean that this ship could be possibly armed with defensive emplacements or point defense turrets; however, Rei and all the other Army Air Service pilots knew that their first contact protocol is to hold their fire unless provoked the enemy, and while the Army allows for some level of autonomy especially for J-31 pilots, every other starfighter in the Army is subjected to receiving strict commands from air control, and it primarily be the air control system that would normally be in charge of any flight patrols.

At any moment, Rei knew that the air control system could join the situation and ask for a status report, so it was up to Rei and his squadron, and as well as Lao and his squadron to collect as much information upon the unknown alien vessel for now.

"你試過無線電聯繫嗎?(Have you attempted radio contact?)" Rei demanded collectively as he flew and his squadron flew well above the unknown alien ship.

"沒有什麼,布拉沃霍克。(Nothing yet, Bravo Hawk.)" Instead of Lao responding to the question, it turned out to be the voice of what was apparently Lao's co-pilot/navigator.

"很好,我們可以等一下。(Very well then, we can wait.)" Rei shrugged as he flew his J-31 into a left break and turn slowly to fly his squadron to the right of the unknown alien vessel, "只要他們不回火,只要他們喜歡就像病人一樣。(Only if they do not fire back, we'll be as patient as long as they like.)"

"好想,任。(Good thinking, Rei.)" Lao agreed amid the radio static, "只是希望他們不要花很長時間,因為海軍將在任何時刻在第一次接觸。(Just wish that they do not take long, since the navy will be here in any minute of first contact.)"

Rei did not even had to respond to such a justified dread that he and many of his Army peers knew very well; however, before Rei and his wingmen could exchange some words, Mei's voice came to life from the cockpit behind Rei, which completely broke the silence, "主席先生,我正在接收船上的無線電傳輸,我已經進行翻譯。(Sir, I'm picking up a radio transmission from the vessel, and I've already proceeded with translation.)"

"繼續發送傳輸,我們需要看看這些人在做什麼。(Go ahead and send the transmission through, we need to see what these people are doing.)" Rei promptly granted to his co-pilot/navigator, "此外,這應該足夠的這個孤立的聯繫的狀態報告。(Plus, this should be enough of a status report for this lone contact.)"

"是的先生。(Yes sir.)" Mei said back as Bravo Squadron sped past the unknown alien vessel.

"I'm Professor Zhaharov of the Lia Fial. Our ship has encountered an anomaly that has caused the warp drive in our ship to appear in your system by mistake. We are not in any way invaders, we are simply scientists who are lost. (我是Lia Fial的Zhaharov教授。我們的船遇到了一個異常,導致我們船上的翹曲錯誤地出現在你的系統中。我們不是入侵者,我們只不過是失去的科學家。)" The radio transmission from the unknown alien vessel replied using the artificial Dasian Chinese-speaking translation voice, Xiao.

"Scientists?" Rei thought to himself rather curious yet suspicious about the crew on board the unknown alien vessel, "That's a new kind of crew on board such a massive ship."

"梅,告訴這位教授“扎哈羅夫”說,他的船正在東達西邊界進入一個限制性的軍事區域,他必須立即停止他的船隻,除非海軍想把他的船打死。(Mei, tell this Professor 'Zhaharov' that his ship is entering into a restrictive military zone along the eastern Dasian borders, and he must stop his vessel at once unless the navy wants to blast his ship to pieces.)" Rei relayed his message to his co-pilot/navigator as he flew Bravo Squadron to the port side of the unknown alien ship, which was now named Lia Fial, "也告訴他,我們是陸軍航空兵,而不是海軍航空兵。他必須被告知,我們正在給他和他的船一個機會脫離這一塊,不像那個否則會撕毀他的碎片的海軍。(Also tell him that him that we are the army air service, not the navy air service. He must be informed that we are giving him and his ship a chance to get out of this in one piece, unlike the navy who would otherwise tear him to pieces.)"

"先生,大聲清楚地複制。(Copy that loud and clear, sir.)" Mei obediently yet calmly acknowledged the relay command, "先生,接受以下答复。(Stand by for a following reply, sir.)"

With that, Rei and the rest of the other army air service squadrons had to sit and wait as to what Lia Fial had to say in return to the warning messages...only as long as the crew of Lia Fial can reply before the navy arrives on the scene.

The Ruins of Kulu

We thrive, we fall, we thrive again.

Lord of Ruin Jarvan Saldana II
Tranquillity, Orbit of The Duke, Pacem System

There was a great level of difficulty in managing a fledgling nation. Always scrabbling for stability, feeding the mouths of a billion and the egos of the hundred. The people now were grateful, content, and the upper class was satisfied enough that they were silent. Not that 'rich' meant anything in the Ruin; the wealthy had lost practically everything nine years ago apart from a few little packs of gold and jewelry. The air of superiority was beginning to wear off as they were forced to work down in the mud, but it had not yet completely disappeared. They wanted appointments in back-to-back filled schedules; they disrespected the lower Ruined Army. Eventually, their children would accept they were stuck here just like everyone else and try and work their way back up to where their parents had fallen from.

The military and their militia were far more tolerable. Most came from a radically different background to the 'rich'; their days started in the farms, in the factories. They knew respect and had the decency to appreciate the fact that their leader sometimes did not have time. Senior officers were always succinct in reporting attacks of packs of ge-wolves on the agricultural towns' outskirts. Small things were dispatched in less than a minute and not brought up again; they simply needed the Lord of Ruin's permission and sought nothing else.

Despite the incredible responsibility, Jarvan never showed stress or weakness to his people, and it was a rare moment that he felt like he was losing control. His image was constructed perfectly, from the reflective round spectacles that just hid the eyes, to the suit adapted from human culture absorbed by the old Kingdom. It had taken some time for the tailors and biteknicians to find a suitable 'wool'-analogue, but the result was excellent. Everything, apart from the politically unsolvable issue of the Church of the Winged Eye's appearance, was going without a hitch. The agricultural success of using basic crop seeding was enough to keep the nation self-sufficient. Everyone was happy and mostly content, from the workers to the ex-wealthy.

His latest visitor, a Master Tactician seeking his attendance at a major training exercise on Mortonridge, now gone, Jarvan sank back into his chair. It was an old-fashioned thing, for comfort more than style, another relic salvaged from the junk the Exodus brought along. He issued a command to the routines running the penthouse, and the floor-to-ceiling screens on the wall faded to show a feed from an SD platform outside. The massive brownish-red Duke gas giant sat to the side, swirling with powerful storms and the starry vacumn of space filled the rest. He gazed out at it a while, hands clasped behind his back. The posture was an instinct, another artefact from an era ago. He sighed, long and drawn out

Tranquility's presence glided into the room, picked up by Jarvan's affinity links. It was a bundle of warmth yet neutrality, seemingly imposing but somehow sitting in the back at the same time. Opening a link with the Lord of Ruin, it spoke, words appearing in Jarvan's mind.

There are more important things to be done than viewing the scenery, it said with just a tinge of mockery and scolding. The voice was androgynous, if not for a little of a male twang to it, its own touch.

Jarvan relaxed slightly. Can I not enjoy my five minutes? he replied. I have to rest at some point.

For a brief moment, it felt as if it were smiling at him from afar. Elder Veritas wishes to speak with you within the next several days, about the newest batch of hawk offspring and how the next generation of ship-to-ship weaponry interacts with their outer shells.

Probably wanting to complain about how they all act like Oenone Jarvan replied, letting a minuscule smirk taint his expression. It's amazing how Veritas is only nine years old yet acts like its a hundred. The First Exploration Squadron has also departed my spaceport, with Captains Syrinx and Meyer with it.

Being the first proper example of your species would give you that wisdom Tranquillity observed passively. The irony was not lost on Jarvan.

Clever, clever. Let the Elder Hawk know I will observe its request. He sank into a plush chair with a heavy breath out. The High Tacticians have been deliberating on the Winged Eye for days now and yet we have no response. They are too zealous to be forced to stop their proselytizing, and their leaders are too cunning for the Ruined Forces to root them out. He clenched his fists, clenching hard onto nothing. Remind me of your opinion.

Tranquillity pondered for several seconds. The feelings of its intelligence turning over the problem once more was nearly palpable. Attacking them turns them against us and possibly insurrectionist, so military action is out of the question. Using sanctions will not work, as you say. The only obvious solution is publicly acknowledging their influence.

Of course. Enjoy your rest.

Jarvan's simpler morphed into a smile as he thanked Tranquillity, a rare show of softness. The habitat had such a wonderful effect, it was like he was nearly a different person talking to it after being able to talk freely and without fear of disloyalty. It always made time for him and most of the citizens, time within which it was happy to answer the many, ludicrously numerous pointless queries from the populace. Discover Ameri's ingenuity was brilliant in coming up with the idea. A kilometer wide asteroid-like satellite orbited Pacem's largest gaseous planet. It was most likely the current apex of biteknology; artificial biological life with full sentience and free thought of such a size was unprecedented for any nation mentioned in the Kingdom archives.

There was no greater friend, no greater adviser than Tranquillity. Jarvan's smile grew mature at the thought. Nostalgia of the Exodus rekindled, he drifted off once more into his memories, at least until the next triviality came along.

Nethamel System

The squadron of eight Marrow-Class Void Destroyers along with a larger squadron of ten frigates, nine cruisers of both light and heavy, and seven corvettes surrounding were 4 battleships, 6 battlecruisers, 5 carriers with with one aircraft cruiser and ten smaller carriers. In the middle where three new Taranis-Class Dreadnoughts, experimental crafts made to house an entire synthetic and virtual crew along with testing some new technologies made specifically for the dreadnoughts. The ships were rather slow when compared to most ships in the fleet as is most dreadnoughts, a contradiction for the UPSC doctrine of favoring mobility, however they found the justification of making the dreadnoughts do to the heavy armor and firepower they have on not only being fortresses out in the battlefield but good targets to distract enemy forces.

The Nethamel System was a star system that many Chandrian researchers became fascinated with when they discovered an anomaly with its star as it kept blinking in and out whenever their telescopes were pointed at it. Eventually probes were sent and when they arrived in the system many were surprised to find a partially completed dyson sphere was the cause of the dip in brightness. Moreover around the sphere was a ring of debris of spaceships that at first many thought were the builders but upon closer exception some of the ship models did not match with others so it gave scientists a good clue that what made the dyson sphere unfinished was that the builders were attacked by a rival and after the attack they either perished or just left the system.

Many researchers came to the system to figure out the past and many more would follow them for colonial and industrial reasons. However the builders of the dyson sphere showed their mark as most planets lacked valuable resources in the inner system as the builders of the sphere mined those worlds for the resources needed to make the sphere; some world were now nothing more but large chunks of space rocks floating around in the vacuum of space. Only the gas giants and their moons were spared of being destroyed, no doubt the attack by the enemy fleet is what spared the moons.

For a month the Chandrians were studying the system and when it was decided to make a permanent research facility on the system the debris field finally uncovered a terrible secret, large ships belonging to pirates. They weren't sure how long the pirates were in the debris field but no one asked what was their intentions, they were taking the pieces of the ships and tech and selling them to the highest bidder. The small escort fleet that protected the ships the scientists were in stayed behind to fight off the pirates and while most ultimately perished they manage to take some of the pirates with them.

Now a proper fleet was in the system ready to take out the pirates. Admiral Dolvinch looked at the hologlobe that was before her, showing a 3-D representation of the system and the position of the fleet. Dolvinch saw the stream of data in her eyes as she planned on what the attack plan should be, the other admirals, commanders, and captains all awaiting for her orders. Admiral Dolvinch was watching the video feed of the battle that occurred in the system before her fleet arrived, she cringed at some of the moments of the battles. The crew of the ships were lucky that their minds were backed up along with their cortical stacks, negating permanent death for most of the crew. "Captain Panas how does it feel to be back in the fight." she said to the Chandrian who was now a glowing virtual avatar next to the admiral. "It feels being an informoprh again but I will get use it if it means getting back at those bastards."

Good old revenge, always a good motivator to keep you going even if you are using a morph you are normally uncomfortable in. "This is our attack plan. We launch our scout drones to find where these cowards are hiding in and once drones find out where our pirates are located I want our MACs to fire their first rounds into the debris field to try and catch these bastard off guard." Dolvinch knew that pirates already knew of their presence but they would think that hiding in the debris field will save them.

From the ships small drone squadrons flew off the main fleet and enter the debris field. The ships waited until finally some of the drones send back video feeds of some of the pirate ships they found. Without a moment noticed Dolvich ordered the fleet to fire the MACs at the locations of which the drones caught their recordings. As the rounds traveled at hypersonic speeds they tore through the debris and while some stopped when they hit broken down ships some were able to hit the pirates ships which had their shields down.

The rest of the pirate fleet soon became active and began to move through the field. Seeing it Dolvich also order the fleet to scatter so they won't be a sitting target for the pirates who are trying to use the debris of the destroyed shield for cover. Ships moved light to right, up and down, they all went into many directions as some went alone while others went in either pairs of twos or fours. The fighters, both piloted and drone, all began to come out of the carriers and any other ships holding them as they enter the debris field to attack the pirates.

Sure enough the force fields of the Chandrian ships began to protect them from kinetic rounds, lasers, missiles, and plasma bolts from the pirate ships while they responded with a volley of missiles, plasma warheads, lasers, railgun projectiles and the battlecruisers and battleships firing charged particle beams down at the spots where the pirates were in. The sensors of the Chandrian fleet detected the fighters engaging the pirates ships which gave them a good clue to attack as ships both above and below the debris field turn to face it and fire MAC rounds at the spots in an attempt to hit the ships. An effort that sometimes worked and other times field when the rounds it a particularly harden derelict ship.

Moving around the field the Taranis dreadnought fired off their main cannons, each one being different from the other. One fired off a massive maser guided particle accelerator, another was a super MAC, the third one didn't fired off it's main gun as it instead deployed more fighters along with the rest, many of which were drones. As the pirate ships fought against the fighters and larger ships the Chandrians would only know if they destroyed a pirate ship either by their scout probes or fighters confirming a kill while the Chandrians were suffering from a frigate and corvette that lost their shield and were taking damage. From what they can gather the pirate fleet was large mainly because they were different pirate groups who for whatever reason agreed to share some of the bounty in the system.

However as they fired upon the pirates some lasers began to hit the debris to ionize it, once the ships actives their magnetic fields they began to move the pieces away. The pieces even worked well against missiles, plasma bolts, and some mass driver rounds as some of the pirates weren't using ferromagnetic materials for their rounds. The small frigates, cruisers, and destroyers were the ones that went inside to fight against the pirates inside their hiding spot while the corvettes and some of the other smaller ships stayed outside along with the capital ships and smaller carriers.

Inside the aircraft cruiser Dolvich sat on her chair and watch the holographic projections of the various ships fighting against the pirates as the crew dealt with the stream of data that appeared before them. The ships still around the debris still firing into it to assist the fighters and ships that went inside to deal with the pirates directly.

Arcadia System

The world of Arcadia was the first ever system colonized by the Chandrians. A world that was almost similar to how their old world was like before the Arcanum War even if the oceans were far more massive and numerous than in Chandra none of them couldn't resist the chance of colonizing this wonderful world. However problems came when they found that the atmosphere did not have the right level of oxygen for them which would make it difficult for them to breath and the gravity, while not so intense as to crush them, would make them feel heavy and uncomfortable to live in the world since the gravity in their world was 20 percent less than Arcadia.

Back then when morphs and mind upload was at it's infancy they had to do with exo suits to help support themselves and wear specialized suits to breath while making interconnected domed cities to deal with the oxygen problem. By biotechnology advanced to the level it has most people now have morphs design to deal with the less amount of oxygen and stronger gravity. Now the dome cities have arcologies along with them and on the oceans there are now cities both floating on the surface of the sea and some submerged with others floating in the sky thanks to anti-gravity technology.

On orbit there are twin parallel massive wires with superconducting magnets and solar panels on them that orbits around the planet. Floating on top of the wire and magnets are stations or platforms that serve as orbital cities, ship factories and with the amount of weapons on them fortresses. This ring is based on a similar one back in Chandra called "The Ring of Lanceor". Between the wires ships were being launched out as though they were fired off from a rail gun.

Arcadia wasn't the only planet colonized as even it's moon and other celestial objects in the system were colonized, there was even artificial space habitats in the system along with one orbiting close to the star but being shielded by an EM field. Needless to say having a fleet of warships appearing in such a system that has become both a popular tourist spot and a major sector in both agriculture, trade, and many other businesses the Chandrians began to panic.

It didn't take long for the defense fleet of Arcadia to arrive and surround the fleet from all possible sides, creating a sphere of ships pointed directly at them. From the fleet they would get a laser transmission. "This is Rear Admiral Lia of the Arcadian Defense Fleet. State your reason for being in the Arcadian system." The female voice at the other line demanded. The ships had their weapons on standby and their shields up just encase the other fleet attacks. A battleship of the defense fleet facing the lead ship of the intruders.

Eastern Dasian

Zhaharov waited as the translation software began to translate all of the individual characters and words received back into words that the Chandrians can understand. "Eastern Dasian borders? We really traveled far as I know that there is no states with the name Dasian in our astral maps." the professor mention as he saw the rest of the message and soon understood for the military presence in the air. "Tell the fighters that we will leave their airspace quickly before their navy can respond to our presence." the infomorph crew send the message back as Zhaharov order the ship to fly off the airspace and go back to space.

The massive ship would begin to move upward without moving forward, the vessel was just making a vertical ascension to the upper levels of the planet's atmosphere. Another message would soon come down from Zhaharov. "Are we still in the Unknown Regions of the Aquila Galaxy?” the professor asked.

Elric was curious of why Vivian was helping him. He considered on escaping without helping her, but survival was necessary. He also needed an update on his crew members. Vivian seemed preoccupied with something, but Elric couldn't make it out. He grabs a gun and joins up with Vivian. Elric asked, "what's the situation with the other evacuees? I need to know if they're others who survived like me," as he said it there was a tinge of sadness was in his voice. He didn't like the idea of him being the Last Tedalonian, but with the amount of casualties there has been he's likely the last one.

Wanderer Fleet

In the black void of space a fleet of heavily modified barges or swarms of smaller space vessels, mostly former colonial ships, moved across the empty void to find their next destination. The people in the Wanderer Fleet are all nomadic and wanderer types; space gypsies living their own lives as they move from location to location to gather supplies and money to keep their lifestyle going. Embracing individual anarchism and morphological freedom to the extreme many of these people are often performers whenever they stop by in a space station or habitat.

Many of these free spirited Chandrians never saw nor felt the need to return back to a planet but didn't feel that living in a space habitat would work either so many boarded the many modified ships and set off into the great unknown. The fleet contains rejects, scums, anarchists, criminals, societal dropouts, wanderers, artists, eccentrics, and more.

As a culture, however, they embrace experimentation and an “everything is permissible” attitude. Many are ardent practitioners of extreme transchandrian modifications. Many long term members of the fleet are sometimes scarcely recognizable as having once been human. The fleet carries their own economic system for how they trade but they generally change their model when trading with other spacers like themselves.

The fleet just got out of their warp field and are now exploring a new region in space as far as they are concern. The fleet would keep going towards an asteroid belt which many can see as a great time to mine them as some of the ships on the fleet were once mining ships and ice haulers. As the fleet got close they will realize that their sensors are picking up more signals in the asteroid belt, signs that they are not alone. The ships all stopped their engines and had their thrusts go off to stop the ships once they realize that alien life was in there.

The fleet is now hesitant on getting near the asteroid belt as they are unaware of the intentions of the aliens but at the same time they need to gather resources from the belt. Some crew in the fleet were planning on retreating from the system while others were prepared for a fight just to get the resources they need to survive. However one of the ships began to send down a transmission. "Hello there strangers. I see you all here are mining for stuff in this here belt. Say if you were to let me and everyone in this ship get some of the ice and minerals from one of those asteroids we will trade you with some good stuff. What do you say? We have a deal?"

The other ships were silent at the brazen act of selling their items to an alien civilization. Yet the silence broke as other ships in the fleet began to make contact with the stations on wanting to sell them stuff in exchange for joining in the mining operations. The fleet was unaware that they were in the Estia system

Alpha O1-10 "Decimus"
Battlefleet Sentinel
Andropov System

Inside the hangar bay of his starship stood General Decimus, his hands clasped behind his back surrounded by groups of Masaki Scientists, Guardians, and even some Special Forces members who were tasked with Decimus' protection. In reality however, all of these units including the military units were extremely curious as to what they were about the discover about the unidentified forces that had destroyed the remains of the United Systems of Andropov, the entity that had caused so much destruction around the galaxy only to have them pay for it within a matter of a day. "What secret does this graveyard hold?" Decimus wondered, watching as the transport containing the debris from one of the many starships that had been left floating adrift in space for about fifty years "What has evaded our watchful eye and why did they decided to target the United Systems out of all things?" Decimus was both amused and worried that the gravity as such as an event like the Siege of Andropov managed to avoid the eyes of the Dynasty, these whispers came years after the untimely destruction of Andropov, and it was just that: nothing more than rumors.

As the shuttle entered the confines of the hangar bay, the ship gently touched down on the ground "Hold." Decimus warned, the soldiers present within the hangar activating their weaponry and pointing towards the exit of the shuttle. Decimus, without and hesitance or worry began to walk forward towards the shuttle, watching as the two large doors began to open up "This secret faction, whatever it is will have it's existence known to us before the day is out, the Galaxy will know who destroyed the United Systems, I swear it." Ending his thought as soon as he witnessed a group of EXO Guardians, the unit of Masaki Guardian equipped for space exploration began to exit the salvage shuttle, behind them following a mangled mess of debris "What is this?" Decimus asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

"General Decimus." One of the EXO Guardians began, saluting his superior officer as he held out a Holographic Projector "I would like to report that while this certain part of debris contains very little in the field of useful information, we have found something that does indeed point out to an unidentified faction being responsible for the destruction of the United Systems. We've also tried to run a database wide search of anything bearing this sign, but have thus far failed, my colleagues are sure that your higher access could potentially bear answers." Activating the Holographic projector, the image made itself known, the entire hangar falling silent.

If Decimus has any eyes, they would have fallen out of it's sockets in pure shock at this moment "No, that can't be possible, I thought that would be nothing but rumors!" He had looked at the Defiler's Post-Pilgrimage Report and it contained this very picture. All members of Alpha Squadron were aware of of the Post Pilgrimage Report and this very logo that was on the face of the report, but they had dismissed it as nothing more than rumors and thought that this had been the work of their treacherous Vice Warlord in order to simply defect from the Dynasty in secret. Decimus' metaphysical heart sunk in utter terror, the Vice Warlord spoke the truth of the barbarians that destroyed everything in their tracks, the barbarians that fought against each other simply for survival. This was the reason why the Unknown Regions remained unexplored!

"THIS IS BATTLEFLEET TEMPEST CALLING ALL REMAINING DYNASTY UNITS!" A voice screamed out throughout the Guardian-To-Guardian Communication Network, sending shock down the metallic back of General Decimus, who was forced to listen as the voice continued "WE'RE UNDER ATTACK BY AN UNKNOWN HOSTILE FORCE, REPEATING, WE ARE UNDER ATTACK BY AN UNKNOWN FORCE ABOVE THE SYSTEM OF VEGA PRIME. WE NEED REINFORCEMENTS ASAP!"

They were finally making a move, Decimus lamented as he turned to all of the Guardians present within the room "Inform all Salvage Shuttles to immediately return to Sigma Galli Prime as soon as possible, they need to present their findings to Alpha Squadron as quickly as physically possible. Battlefleet Sentinel is to make an emergency jump towards Vega Prime, we need to offer as much support to General Ulysses, his Battlefleet is under heavy attack." General Decimus connected himself to the PA System of all the ships within the Battlefleet "Attention all Warships under Battlefleet Sentinel, reroute all forces to Vega Prime, this is not a drill, code red, repeating, code red!"

"The phantoms have arrived..."

Starship Hunter
Unknown Dimension

"Yes you have reached The Hunter what seems to be the problem?"

"My name is Jonathan Faux. My father gave me this number. He said that this was the best helpline in the universe." came the reply.

"Oh! Jonathan last I saw you you were a toddler sitting in your fathers lap. How is James these days?" asked hunter.

"He died a couple of years back but he gave me this number before he died. Said that whenever I needed help I could expect it from you."

"Sorry to hear that. Also I am sorry but I am no longer the man your father remembered. I no longer help people."

"Please I dont know who else to turn to. Atleast listen to what I have to say. You can decide afterwards."

Hunter thought for a moment. He was no longer the man who helped and everyone he knew no longer contacted him. He was curious as to what could drive this man to contact him out of the blue. He struggled with his feelings for a moment but curiosity overpowered him.

"Fine I will hear you out but I can not guarantee that I will help you."

"It is ok. I probably shouldn't bother you with this but I don't know who else to turn to. My company has been trading partners with a planet nation called Tedalonia. Recently we received word that they were attacked by a fleet unknown to them and they were sending out refugees in ships. We were supposed to receive them but they have not contacted us since. i am worried something has happened to them. Even if you cannot help them atleast please find out what happened to them so we might try to help them. The attacker is not someone we can deal with but based on the stories I heard from my father you might be able to go to their planet and find out what happened to them."

"If I decide to help you and find out what happened to them I will let you know."

"Thank you"

And the phone cut off. "Well shall i open a portal to Tedalonia for you?" asked Isa. "What makes you think I am going?" asked hunter. "I know you. i know you cannot help yourself. You will not be able to stop yourself from helping that boy." said Isa. "I will go but I am not helping them i am merely curious" said Hunter. "As you wish but I predict that you will get involved a lot more than you think" said Isa. A portal opened. "Ha. You are an AI you dont know anything. I will love proving you wrong. Come on Eggie lets go you know what to do." said Hunter as he stepped into the portal. A cloud seemed to appear around the guardian and it disappeared from view. After a moment the portal closed.

Triarchy Starship
Tedalonian Start System

A portal opened in the ship and a man stepped out but immediately disappeared from view. A moment later the portal vanished. An intruder alarm sounded but ofcourse no one could detect the intruder. "Ship scan complete. It belongs to the Xiolite Triarchy. I will now direct you to their central network." said the Isa using the telepathic link between her and Hunter. A portal appeared again and Hunter was transported to the alien version of server room. Hunter released the nanites that scanned the system and began to hack into it. The first thing they did was to seal the room. Steps could be heard outside and voices. The aliens had discovered his presence but he only needed a minute, two at most. They began to break into the room. By the time they were able to break into the room Hunter already began downloading the information into himself. They held their weapons to him and demanded he surrender but The portal reappeared between hunter and the aliens. They opened fire but everything passed through the portal. They began to approach from the sides of the portal but it vanished and the intruder with it. The ship was once again back in their control.

Unknown Dimension

Sparks flew everywhere as the damage from the alien weapons was being repaired by Isa. "Process this information for me" said Hunter "And see I did not help the Tedalonian planet. i have proved you wrong i no longer care for the people and their troubles. I am done helping". "We will see" was the uninterested reply. "By comparing with our databanks I was able to extract information from their sensors. It seems the ships escaped the planet but were pulled by another ship into an FTL jump. By examining the database the ship type is unknown but it was damaged and once on the scene I can track the energy signature." said Isa "Still Xiolites last you saw they were a fledgling empire still growing. Won't it be interesting to see how the world has changed in your seclusion?"

"Nice try but this will not get me interested. Let us jump to that location then."

"You want to follow them. i thought you only wanted to know what happened to them and not help them."

"Well we still dont know what happened to them do we? Remember we dont want anyone seeing the ship."

"Dont worry I will be careful. Finally I get to navigate the ship once again."

"Teleport me to the base once we get there I need to rest."

"As you wish captain." The ship opened a dimensional breach and jumped through it.
