Name: Azrael Stormreaver

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Alliance: Ex -Imperium

Appearance:

Backstory: Born of noble birth, Azrael Stormreaver comes from a reknowned family of mages who specialize in electric magic. His superiors were always proud of the young Stormreaver, as he demonstrated exceptional magical ability even at an age of 12. His partner in both practice and, soon enough, actual combat was the healer Trogdar Forlorn, and they became the best of friends. They continued their partnership for the time being, until the time came when Azrael was hit by rogue Technocracy Demolishers. Trogdar, being the healer he should be, began his spellwork, but a second shell landed, and he too, was knocked out. Hours passed, and they were rescued, still barely alive, by several Sentinels and Healers. The Healers found that Azrael's legs have been damaged beyond repair, and Trogdar's right eye became blind. Azrael then had to learn how to levitate with magic, in which he often failed at initially. Trogdar, however, was always there. A friend that always stayed by his side.

A year later, and Azrael was proficient at levitation. However, this was when he learned that Trogdar's parents are exiles from the Technocracy. Furthermore, he also learned that technology and magic are just two sides of the same coin. And both sides were merely demonizing the other.

At this knowledge, Azrael left the Imperium. As he trodded through the land, Trogdar followed him and told him that, "Wherever you go, and whatever happens, I will be here."

Class: Elemental, as well as being sort of an enchanter. He focuses primarily on volatile electric attacks. Wielding a spear empowered with crackling electricity, he revels in making his enemies die without so much of even feeling it.
Equipment: A spear empowered with magical electricity, aptly named Electrostrike.

I am so hoping that one of the characters will notice Jehiel and his fiancee. Here's my fiancee's app, if you'd like:

Age: 25 (they are born in the same year with Jehiel, but she was born on January, Jehiel on September)

Backstory:

Felicia was born to a family from the Magi Imperium who otherwise can't wield magic and had to rely on technology to keep themselves at par with their magic-wielding counterparts. Like Jehiel, her parents lived a life on the run when they started using technology; they managed to escape to the Technocracy after several minor yet failed efforts to escape. While she and her mother successfully escaped, her father met an unfortunate fate in the hands of Imperium law enforcement and military forces: he was killed while trying to flee with his family.

She lived a life of abject poverty in the first days of her youth, especially now that her father, the family's main breadwinner, was killed, but her mother was able to land a good position in a company that operates within the Technocracy. Unfortunately, her mother died as a result of exposure to harmful materials in her job, but her mother left her with insurance money that would allow her to finish higher education.

She met Jehiel in the same university that she studied in; Jehiel was studying nanotechnology while Felicia was studying biotechnology. They even made a few theses together, and this pathway of academic cooperation gave way for their romance to bloom. As of now, Felicia and Jehiel have been together as boyfriend and girlfriend for 5 years; after a 4-month period of cohabitation, Jehiel decided to be engaged to Felicia. Their cohabitation has yielded a blessing in the form of a child to whom Felicia is 3 months pregnant to.

Her reason for leaving the Technocracy is the same as her fiance's: she was disillusioned of the Technocracy's lies, especially after she heard of her fiance taking justice into his own hands and complaining about his social benefits being reduced because he refused to sign up for conscription candidacy.

Class: As of now, she's just a normal human, but her exposure to her fiance's nanobots have given her above-average strength, making her some sort of a soldier.

Equipment:

As of now she doesn't have equipment, but if she chooses to be a soldier, she would probably have the same armament as her fiance.

Random facts: She is 3 months pregnant, and is engaged to Jehiel. She'd be out of action for 6 months more, but it would be safe for her to practice shooting - but please, oh please, give her lead-free ammo, a mask, and a suppressor.

I don't think the imperium outlawing magic happened within our characters' generation. It was the catalyst for the formation of the Technocracy and since the two factions have been at war for centuries it doesn't really make sense for a twenty five year year old to have been around for that.

Yeah, assuming the Technocracy was at roughly the same level of technology as the Imperium when they first split off, I imagine it would've taken at least a few centuries to get to their current tech level.

Jehiel has seen his parents killed by Satanists in the Imperium. His ancestors lived a life on the run in the Imperium because they used tech, which has been banned in the Imperium for centuries.

Right now we've only established that it's to the north and a bit to the west of the group's current position.

I'll have one of my characters notice yours, but since the group is kinda supposed to start getting a move on, you'll have to forgive me if it's rather short.

I definitely understand the sentiment, but I think we've got enough people so long as Atria does good on his word

My career's been long enough that I'm more or less used to RPs dying after I've invested effort in them, pretentiousness unintended. You just kinda fume a bit, pick yourself up and then move on.
