As a curiosity, has the Technocracy taken any positions on deeper biological research? I understand that the Architect and the Medic seem to indicate that a light brush into cybernetics and basic regenerative medicine have occurred, but would things like growing homunculi in vats and genetic experiments with magic users still be looked upon as some form of heretical research?

Gene therapy and such is fine, but messing with magic is a surefire way to get your head blown off by your superiors.

Then as a follow up, does the Technocracy have an Inquisition esque organization which possesses full control over the poor souls of magic found within the Technocracy?

unless they make them uniques and do the equivalent on the females, that would not exactly be a definite thing, unless we jsut go and say that tech in the Technocracy is jsut that advanced.

I was thinking more along the lines of prisoners of war, the inquisition being the government/police branch involved in ensuring no mages infiltrate the Technocracy. In effect something like Gulags, SS, Thought Police, etc.

If such was the case then the Inquisition's primary function would be to screen the population for undocumented magic users in addition to its counter espionage, propagandizing, and border control functions.

To which I would argue of course their technology is more advanced. The Tech classes alone indicate as much, and gene therapy and cybernetics have already been confirmed.

Right now, there is research on Power armor being done, with some prottypes already a thing and there are nano style things already. Yes the setting si advanced, but how much more so, considering that some countries, almost have ro do have things that the Technocracy has.

I was more thinking that the logical thing to do would be to send them on separate teams so they can keep their respective partners alive, but like I said, I don't mind having Kiris and Galen team up

Yeah, that would definitely be the more logical thing to do, but less fun (Besides, seems like healers are a dime-a-dozen all of a sudden, so it's probably inevitable two would end up pairing up at some point anyway ). I did try to give a somewhat reasonable explanation for the two to stick together in the IC as well, so it'll hopefully make at least a little sense to the characters.

Yeah, there's about three dedicated healers and a few more who have it as a part of their jack of all trades ability pool.
