I was thinking that Erik would advocate to run, then the Troops would arrive, and after noticing them, fire and then box them in. Would that be ok?

That would be alright with me. Although, if we go with the run option, I think it might be better if our characters are able to make a break for it and run into other characters also fleeing from the alarms (that way it gives other folks something to write about, and should help with getting all the PCs grouped together so Atria can advance the plot).

Just for reference, one of my character's has a private little compound nearby.

So maybe have them run with Erik clearing away some of the pursuers with his earthbending, while the doc lays down some covering fire for him, and the two end up arriving at Asterdan's character's private compound so he can get in on the action? (If that's alright with Asterdan that is)

What he does wouldnt quite be earth mending, it is more like the elements empower him in different ways, you will see what i mean when i get the post up later.

But imagine a hollow golem that could be worn like a suit of armor, that can be enchanted to explode when enough damage is taken, not harming the wearer or the like.

I was just pointing out the similarities, of course there's a lot of approaches you can take

Could also make lots of independent "magic power armors" if you really wanted.

Just to get a clear idea of what's going on, Galen and Erik are being pursued by both technocrats and magi, right? I noticed that in Shadow's post, plasma weapons were mentioned, while magi pursuers were mentioned in Brusia's post.

Backstory:

Addison wasn't always part machine, but he had always held disdain for the Imperium. He has an older sister at one point, consistently sick and frail, but endlessly kind and inspiring to Addison. The Young family wasn't blessed with magical powers, so the only apparent option for their survival was to embrace the Technocracy's protection. The boy Addison, without an alternative for his future, enlisted in the military and started out as an infantryman on the border. Then one day his post was assaulted and the young man was irreparably wounded by a fiery blast, that was when he grew to personally dislike the Imperium. He underwent surgery, to recover his body and protect his family and nation. He became an architect, and a more hardened man, to ensure that others didn't have to suffer the same pain he did.

Months passed, years, Addison's sister's condition worsened. Using his military pay he fervently searched for a solution to keep his sister alive, but no cure was found for her condition. One day while patrolling the Neutral Zone on his own, he met a peaceful magic hermit, a healer who did what he could for the people caught in the crossfire. The mage was convinced that he could heal Addison's sister's disease, and the soldier held onto the last hope he had left. Amazingly, miraculously, his sister was cured of her illness and came home happily to their family. Until one day the Technocracy came knocking, pinning Addison's sister for a traitor when they found traces of the magical healing inside her. Addison was held back at gunpoint as his most cherished family was taken away, and now he will stand to work with anyone to tear down the regime that ruined his family.

Architect:
Addison has both a mechanical arm and leg, both on the right side of his body. The arm produces the usual Architect hardlight projections, in addition to other utility upgrades like an internal grappling hook and scanners for various signatures and wavelengths. His right leg is more powerful than the flesh-and-bone former limb, and while the arm can produce hardlight the leg can produce explosions, of a sort. The common use is the anchor the foot into the ground and cause tremors in the surrounding area, but it can also be delivered to enemies via a swift kick to the... anywhere.
