It's like a post warzone in a suburban area. Lots of ruined buildings and craters.

Backstory: Born a nobody, life would never be normal for this Technocrat. She wasn't of the aristocracy, with a well-known family named. She was merely an orphan -- spending her early years at a state-sponsored manor for the disenfranchised and the destitute. Under the rule of the very militaristic autocracy of the nation, such places were a useful tool in turning directionless youths into citizens that could produce for the Technocracy. Honed and trained for digital warfare, Architect Four-Oh-Four (A404) graduated as an outstanding data manipulator and cyber-hacker, receiving her own designation as a reward for her great skill: Proxy. But programmed loyalty goes only so far. Overcoming the indoctrination, biding her time in the system, Proxy made her escape shortly after her 18 birthday. Having no love for the Technocracy, nor any living thing, she departed from shackles a society, to live a hermited existance -- her first free choice.

I cant think of one that would capture the summoner aspect, restorer would work for the healer aspect i think.

Shaman and druid would be good except they don't quite fit the character I'm imagining. They've got more of a European, cultured vibe. I think I'm gonna go with a chess theme for the actual summons

Backstory: Lucien Cahill was a member of an ancient clan, the last of his clan actually. This clan had, throughout history, been mockingly called the 'Magnus', an ancient word dating back to Pre-Technocracy times which means 'False Magic'. His family took the title with pride as they continued their work, creating technology that would resemble, imitate, and mimic magic. They were very close to the higher-ups in the Technocracy, as they created amazing weapons still used by the military.

When he was 25, Lucien made a realization: Only certain people could perform magic, meaning the source had to be in their blood, their DNA! He made his proposal to the leaders of the Technocracy and was given permission to infiltrate the Imperium in order to study them up close. Lucien was assisted by the master of stealth known as Shade to infiltrate and set up a false life in the Imperium. He stayed there for ten years and it was during this time that he made two discoveries:

First, he discovered the exact gene which allowed some people to produce magic.
Second, he discovered that the gene allowed them to specialize in certain types of magic.

With the help of Shade he returned home where he got to work on a weapon which could use the blood of a mage to reproduce the magic. Finally, after five years, he created a staff, which he called the Staff of Magnus to honor his ancestors. He enlisted Shade's help to reenter the Imperium in order to test his new weapon. Over the course of three years he managed to obtain 'blood samples' (he killed) five mages, each of which specialized in one of the following types of magic: Wind-based, Fire-based, Water-based, Earth-based, or Plant-based.

Shade helped him return once more, where he presented his weapon to the leaders of the Technocracy. His weapon, and skills as he had integrated it with the martial arts he had learned from a young age, allowed him to wield the Four Elements, as well as control the plants via a nanobot he had installed in his brain. Unfortunately, his higher-ups did not believe it worked, accusing him of being a mage and using this 'staff' as an excuse to use his magic. He was banished to the Zone and has lived there for two years.

Class: The closest class I can find is 'Soldier'.

Thats the real name. She never knew her birth parents and the Technocracy needed a code-name for their successful youth soldiers.

I'm pretty sure they would have given her a real name along side her codename. Fix that and you're golden.

Atria mentioned they're just gonna meet up and then get attacked, so I'd guess no, or maybe if you arrange it with another player the characters might fight, but that'll probably get interrupted (or your characters separated, in any case).

Mars Astair is one of the Technocracy's great success story. A true, rags to riches tale, Mars was orphaned at a very young age. He wasn't even old enough to have any memory of them, the only thing that they left for him was a necklace with a golden star pendant. Therefore Mars was raised in an orphanage, and his early childhood was a bit rough. However, that quickly changed as the people around him began to notice Mars' superhuman intellect. He was reading advanced physics textbooks by age 5 and was building his first engine by age 8. It's no surprise that Mars was quickly adopted, by a widowed scientist by the name of Rebecca Astair. Not only was she a scientist, but a rich CEO after inheriting her husband's company after his unfortunate death in a car crash. Astral Industries had been a prominent tech company for decades, focusing on the development of spacecraft and aircraft technologies.

However Rebecca sees greater potential in fueling the Technocracy's constant need for new military technologies, and therefore Marvin proved to be a blessing to her. Rebecca raised Marvin well, ensuring that his talent was not wasted but she also truly seemed to care for the boy. She was stern, but loving, though the sternness didn't rub off much on Mars. His incredible intelligence made even the most difficult academic program in the Technocracy mundane to him. Therefore Mars developed a bit of a party life style, his wealth and fame sometimes distracted him from his talents and job at his mother's company. That didn't stop Mars from pushing out incredible inventions however. Mars developed a line of cybernetic attack dogs that he named Cyberwolves, as well as a new suit of combat armor that allows soldiers in the technocracy to be temporarily invisible, and a missile targeting system that can penetrate magical defenses. These weapons have been mass produced within the military, and is only a few examples of what the young tech magnet has produced so far.

Mars remains very distant from the war, never having stepped foot out of the Technocracy and never seeing what the battles he makes possible look like. Mars however, is about to venture on a journey to the front-lines in a promotional campaign for his mother's company and to demonstrate their new line of Astral brand Mech suits. The trip will be dangerous however, and who knows if Mars will be the same person when he returns.... if he returns.

Class: Armorer/Architect-Mars has advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Programming, and Computer Engineering. He is very resourceful and can build useful devices with scraps in your garage.

Mars usually carries around a briefcase that has a bunch of tools and important gadgets with him that would help in a disaster situation, such as a device that is disguised as a watch, but can turn into a shield with the press of a button and even fire off a small EMP.

Pretty much this. You might have a small spat with someone, but the two world powers are about to reopen all of their whoopass cans, meaning that running away and working together is the best way to not get killed.

Speaking of which, I will reply on the morrow! Am about to sleep now.
