But Cox is quirky, claiming false facts, and a lot of things. It's going to be a very different type of campaigning, especially as Scotty is objectively 'too-nice'

A guy who went to my school died in a car accident last night. He missed a turn and made a hard right, but his car was going too fast and it began to skid everywhere until it hit a curb and rolled a time or two. He was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene. He's been around ever since I was a little kid and even though I didn't like him very much, a lot of people did.

It sucks seeing someone go like that.

Also, we'll go onto speeches tonight even if De Nieto doesn't answer. Utt and Xath should get ready for that

People seem to forget Angela Merkel is a Conservative, and thus all the Twitter Progressives who hailed her the new 'Leader of the Free World' shouldn't be surprised. They're going to scramble to Macron soon.

Meh, she shifts left every few years, is about to do it again, more of a pragmatic than anything ideological

As a second-termer without much political capital or name rec, it seems a little doubtful that he could co-author something as huge as the post-Sandy Hook laws.

Would Denis's machine have let the AgroSTEM bill written by a Green through?

If he had done the pro gay stuff in the early 2000s, at the end of his tenure, it would certainly have been ok. And it was anti-discrimination, not necessarily even pro gay marriage.

In real life, some two term congressmen from both parties co-authored the massive gun control packages. John Shaban comes to mind. Democratic leadership would certainly tap someone like O'Brien, especially, since he is an educator. They used similar strategies.

In CT the GOP is actually largely in favor of Agro-STEM spending.

Ah, I'd figured since it was the first listed, it was the first chronologically. Later's fine.

Fair enough.

Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 68
Character Height: 6 feet 3 inches
Character Weight: 190 pounds
Character Role: (Senator of Maryland, Texas Representative, Governor of Alaska, CEO, Secretary of the Treasury, etc)
Attorney General of the United States (2013-2016), Solicitor General of the United States(2009-2013), U.S Attorney for the District of Columbia(2005-9), Judge Advocate General of the Navy (2001-5)
Appearance: (Photo preferred, not required)
Eric Holder
Character State of Origin: Washington D.C.
Character Party Affiliation: Independent (Democratic Leanings)
Main Strengths: beyond reproach, has success in speaking, honorable
Main Weaknesses: Hated by many powerful groups, hated by the establishment of both parties, hated by massive criminal rings, over zealous, aggressive, dangerously unconcerned with public perception

Short Bio (1 to 2 paragraphs):
Former Attorney General John Francis Capulet was born on July 25, 1949, to a retired Navy Commander, David Capulet, and a Boeing worker, Beatrice Walters. In his youth, Capulet was highly intelligent and very determined, learning how to read at age 3. He advanced quickly in his early youth, and quickly took an interest in law. His proficiency at very basic law at the age of 15 was due, in part, to friends of the family who were lawyers. Capulet made up his mind, deciding he wanted to be a lawyer. His mom fully supported him, but his dad wanted him to join the Navy, leading in riffs in the family.

Capulet though he could have the best of both worlds. At age 19, Capulet went to Harvard (not the law school), and got a four year degree. Upon completion, he enlisted in the Navy, and received the rank of Ensign, due to his degree. He served in the Judge Advocate General Corps for 30 years, making a name for himself prosecuting criminal cases at naval bases across the world. He began to rapidly make a name for himself, and seemed to peek as a moderately known JAG corps member. In the 1990s, he helped with the Tailhook Scandal, making a massive name for himself again. This paid off, as, in 2001, he became the Judge Advocate General of the Navy, a Vice Admiral. He served in that capacity for 4 years, making his mark in pushing for more female JAGs.

After his retirement in 2005, he was immediately tapped by President Shrub to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of Colombia. Here, he cracked down on corruption, going hard against politicians who seemed to be receiving kickbacks and political favors, earning him many enemies on both sides of the aisle. He also cracked down on major organized crime rings in the D.C area who were operating on a federal level, which led to the take down of several gangs, once again making him a target. This successful and robust work led to his appointment as Solicitor General of the United States in 2009, under President Winston, where he took a different task, representing the government before the Supreme Court. He issued several Amicus Curiae briefings during Obergefell v. Hogdes. He had one more step on his career. Attorney General. After the departure of the Attorney General in 2013, Capulet was nominate to fill the role and was confirmed, 87-13 the 13 dissenters coming from Senators who questioned his law methods during his time as a U.S Attorney and as Judge Advocate General. In mid-2016, Attorney General Capulet resigned in protest over the President's frequent overstepping of boundaries.

NS Nation Name:

Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 54
Character Height: 5'5''
Character Weight: 200 lbs
Character Position/Role/Job: Representative for Florida's Second Congressional District
Appearance:
(Image)
Character State of Origin: Florida
Character Party Affiliation: GOP
Main Strengths: Strong orator, strong convictions, strong base
Main Weaknesses: Ideological, unpopular outside of his district, not much money, hard drinker, redneck
Biography:
James Pepper was born in Dixie County, Florida, in 1961. His mother was a homemaker, and his father was a Baptist minister. Pepper played football in high school, and was quite popular, though not very academic. Upon graduating, Pepper married his high school sweetheart, and got a job as a salesman at a Ford dealership in Tallahassee. After 5 years in the big city, he moved with his wife and twin daughters back out to Liberty County. In Liberty County, Pepper went into business with a local veteran to establish Liberty County Guns, a gun shop that became successful quite quickly. At the same time, his girls aged, and he became a volunteer for the Girl Scouts, becoming a donor and eventually Chairman of the Florida Panhandle Council. Pepper was struck by 9/11, and was driven to serve his country. So, in 2002, he ran for a vacated state House seat in the 7th district. He ran to the religious right, and won the primary, and subsequently the election. He served as a state Representative until 2009, when he resigned upon the election of Winston and became an organizer for Tea Party Patriots, opening several chapters across the Panhandle. In 2010, he stood for election in Florida's Second District, winning the primary handily with his Tea Party appeal, cruising to victory in the anti-Winston wave. He has served in the House since then, opposing gun control, Common Core, and WinstonCare.

Yuge WIP. Likely to be somewhere between establishment and Tea Party, not a rebel.

I don't really think Liberty County is going to have the population density that you need to support a new gun shop. Most of the gun stores are farther south, but you wouldn't really be expecting people to go trekking out nowhere to make purchases, especially since you wouldn't really have advertising, or any decent thru traffic.

I'm honestly not 100% sure about men being council leaders for the Girl Scouts, I don't think it's barred, since they can be troop leaders, but at least at that young an age it doesn't seem too likely

The 7th district used to be over on the NE coast, a good hundred and fifty miles away. He carpetbagged?

That’s not his weakness. His weakness is that he isn’t overzealous, that he’s too ready to throw people in jail or procecute. He only got confirmed because his public record was so good, and Members of Congress with real concerns couldn’t vote against in large numbers due to it looking like obstruction.

Florida is too complicated
