So, how should one be introduced? Random portal, plot contrivance, e.t.c. - and where is there a group or battle that's available for intervention?

The Ascendants' reawakening opened quantum conduits at random throughout the multiverse - everybody so far has entered the RP by passing through one of these, intentionally or not (entirely your call), and arriving on the Hub (big inter-universal space station). There's currently some people on the Hub, though the conduit to Skyrim is closed, I believe, so your character will have to wait until the next one opens if you want to go on an adventure or fight someone.

Well, I suppose I'll refrain from involvement until such an opportunity arises. In the meantime, I'll be keeping a close eye on this particular thread.

You can introduce your character and have them enter the Hub through a Conduit and at any time (it's just going from the Hub into Skyrim would be problematic at this point, since the story in that universe has progressed pretty far).

Sure, that should be fine (and you're more than welcome to kill as many Stormcloak Rebels as you want ). Were you thinking the faction would be the prince and like a small elite guard, or like an entire legion?

Speaking of Stormcloak I'm still keeping my idea of them ambushing the Winterhold group, just waiting for the right moment to do the attack is all.

He's got control of an Enitre Legion but he mainly goes around with his elite troop of guards acting like vigilante. Like Fire Embelm now that I think about it. He's mainly there for diplomacy(To marry Elisif) and he's waiting for the day the Legion mounts a counter offensive campaign to recapture Eastern Skyrim.

But it'll probably be just him and around a dozen or so soldiers. But if need be he can call on a lot more than that.

And with Jraden getting all these Witcher characters I kind of want to create an App for Ciri. Or Regis. Or maybe Vernon Roche for the irony.

I'd say just focus on the Skyrim app for the time being. Starting off with a full legion should be alright while we're in Skyrim, but it'd probably best if either most of them died early on in a post, or your character separated from all but his elite guard before we return to the Hub (so that we don't have to march thousands of men through a small Conduit and then try to find space for them all on the Hub since they don't have a starship ).

Abilities: Incredible magical abilities, but not as much as Yennefer. She's skilled with elemental based spells, healing and defensive spells, telekinesis, and other miscellaneous magical abilities.

Weaknesses:God damn she can be clingy and possessive of Geralt. Can quickly overexert her powers which causes her to fatigue quickly. SHe is also righteous, which causes her to try and do the right thing even n the face of overwhelming odds. Suffers some minor PTSD from war and torture. Also is allergic to some magic based potions and decoctions; they react violently to her body's systems.

Personality:Very kind and helpful. One to follow rules and the law, willing to support them over personal interests most of the time. She is also subtly manipulative and willing to harsh things to get what she wants. She's just not so willing to admit it.

Noteworthy Equipment:Not much. Some basic travel supplies, healing tonics, magical equipment, potions, alchemical ingredients, decoctions.

Backstory:A powerful, but young Sorceress who was friends with Geralt, Yennefer, and an older sister figure who raised Ciri. She fell in love with Geralt, who was magically bound to Yennefer. Later when Yennefer went missing, she took advantage of Geralt's amnesia. the she got caught in all the bs of the games involving Kingslayings, witch hunts, and the Wild Hunt. Now she's the Court Mage/Advisor of the King of Kovr living with Geralt.

Age:A bit over a hundred years old. Her magic keeps her the way she looks.

Universe of origin: The Witcher Series.

Alignment: Yennefer is a very difficult person to categorize. She is self serving, but cares for her loved ones and does some questionable things to help, so I'll go with Lawful Evil.

Abilities:Incredible magic abilities like Triss, just a lot more powerful. She also has some knowledge in necromancy.

Weaknesses:She's not exactly a good people person. She can become very brash difficult to be around if you agitate her, and when loved ones are threatened she can lose her focus quite easily. Her mixed feelings with Geralt and Triss. Also her reliance on magic, as she is physically weak and can be defeated if you close the gap fast enough.

Personality: Very direct and forward. Kind of manipulative when she wants to be. Blunt, self serving, sarcastic and condescending, but loyal if she genu9enly cares about you or it aligns with her goals.

Noteworthy Equipment: Pretty much the same thing as Triss. Supplies and magical items. Some personal items.

Backstory:A powerful Sorcress who once served the Loge of Sorceresses and as King Demavend's Advisor. Later when Geralt was nearly killed during a pogrom, she was nearly killed trying to save him. Their adopted daughter Ciri was able to save them. Later an encounter with the Wild Hunt left them with amnesia. She was saved by other Witchers of the Viper School before being captured by the Empire of Nilfgaard. Later she helped Geralt and Ciri fight off the Wild Hunt. During that time she broke a magical bond between her and Geralt which made Geralt lose his love for her, though Yennefer still retained her feelings and reacted bitterly to their break up and him getting together with Triss, a close friend. After Ciri became Empress, Yennefer stayed as an advisor and later disappeared.

Desired Tier level: 3. She might be strong enough to be a four, but I don't know the extent of her powers so I'll just say 3.

Even if they figured out what the Hub had to do with the attacks, they'd be hitting one of the stations maintaining their own interuniversal travel network. It'd be like bombing a hospital to root out a couple insurgents hiding inside. Not worth the cost.
