One of my co-ops and I have some concerns about her mental-domination ability, so we'd like to see that nerfed abit (we were thinking to the point that it can only affect one NPC at a time). Once that's done though, you're good to go.

Yuriko at this point is weak since she fought with her twin sister who are both powerful and used all of her energy to kill her twin sister so mental-domination can only affect one NPC at this point since she's weak, for now. But if she have regained her strength in the futures to come ,it would range to only four-to-five, it depends if her enemies are only one individual or a small group.

I'm going to put this app on hold for now, as I'd like to see some good participation and high quality posts in the RP before clearing two high-powered characters for a new player. (Though, out of curiosity, is this from an alternate Star Wars universe? Because Lana mentions that Odessen was unsettled as of the Alliance's arrival there, so I don't believe there were ever any Republic bases there in SWTOR, or any battles there before the Alliance established their base on the planet).

Well, this application will be on hold if the first character have already a good participation in IC in the period of time. And it's not an alternate universe, it's a minor alternate divergence that the Republic decides to occupy Odessen due to its natural force planet and the Eternal Empire decides to attack the Republic. And I know that Odessen is unsettled until the Alliance arrived there, unless if you don't want this minor alternate divergence then I could remove it on the biography.

I'd like it to be kept at one NPC until me or a co-op clears you to have it affect more. With that edit though you'll be good to go, so feel free to have her find a Quantum Conduit to get her to the Hub (we're too far along in the Star Trek universe for her to join there unfortunately, but she can get a briefing on the situation while we finish up the Star Trek universe, and there are still characters on the Hub she can interact with until we start up the next universe).

I generally assume that divergences mean they're from an alternate universe (what with the infinite multiverse and all), but we allow characters from alternate universes so it's fine.

Also, just a heads up that voting for the next universe is now open. The options are as follows:
Star Wars
Halo
AEGIS' universe
Evolve
Titanfall
The Witcher
Fallout

Please visit the multiversal voting booth in the discord to cast your vote, or TG your choice to me or a Co-op. Side note for the new players: we're just casting votes for the universe at this time, if a universe with multiple eras wins, we'll hold a second vote to decide which era we visit.

Hmm... The only universe I'm familiar with is Star Wars. Also, AEGIS's universe a little through Naval Monte's descriptions.

Character Name: W.D Gaster | The Man Who Speaks In Hands | Wing Ding | The Royal Scientist
Gender: Male
Appearance: "Trapped between Time and Space, The Man who speaks in Hands."
Species: Skeleton Monster
Age: Couple Hundred Years Old (According to his Glitchtale Wiki Article)
Universe of Origin: Glitchtale
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Abilities: (OOC NOTE: In order to better convey the scale of Gaster's Glitchtale based abilities, video links have been provided for visual information. For this reason, I must urge the fact that some of these clips may contain spoilers for the ongoing series that is Glitchtale.)

Weaknesses:
  • A very important weakness that should be noted: Gaster's Seven Hands can be destroyed if they are directly harmed or enough pressure is put on them that results in the hand cracking before shattering away in it's entirety.
  • Due to his capabilities to summon his seven hands via his Bone Magic, Gaster no longer has the ability to summon actual bones for him to manipulate.
  • Even though it is able to both protect himself and even contain his enemies, Gaster's Green Hand can be destroyed if enough force and pressure is put on the barrier, resulting in the destruction of said hand.
  • In the event that one of Gaster's floating hands is destroyed, The time varies on how long it takes to mend his magic and recreate the destroyed hand, this dependency is based on how many hands have already been destroyed by his foe.
  • If Gaster desires to teleport, he must have knowledge about the location that he is teleporting to, a weakness that is also demonstrated by his son Sans.
  • Gaster is also restricted in the sense that he is very much incapable of Universal Teleportation with his powers, as at this moment that traveling the distance between the Moon and the Earth would put a noticeable drain on Gaster's magic.
  • While Gaster's Purple Hand can only mimic an active power being used by a person, It should also be noted that abilities that are either difficult or impossible to mimic, the purple hand is unable to copy that same power.
  • Abilities that the Purple Hand copies are not permanent and are determinant on the power being used.

Noteworthy Equipment:
  • Green Determination Pill: Prior to falling into the Void, Gaster managed to produce a supply of Green Determination Pills extracted from the carrier of the Green Soul. In order to prevent himself from falling susceptible to the Amalgamation Process that ordinary monsters unintentionally underwent due to the overbearing power of Determination, Gaster diluted the pills enough so that he could safely consume them. While limited in supply, these pills can heal damage that Gaster has sustained in a battle. Gaster currently has up to two dozen of these Determination Pills, in which he will place a dozen in his quarters on the Hub and carry the other Dozen on his person at all times.
  • Gaster's Journal: Throughout his career as a Royal Scientist, Gaster has almost always kept a Journal near him whenever he needed to write down notes for reference, or just as a personal log of notable events. Usually Gaster can be seen occasionally reading this journal or writing down some form of notes or logging some of his daily events.

Personality:
As the former Royal Scientist of the Underground, Gaster has a profound interest with technologies that have either never been used in the Underground, or technologies that he has learned about, but never had the tools necessary to build them. Also, as a result of raising both Sans and Papyrus (I'm using a Dadster background for Gaster), Gaster usually has a soft spot for children but is not above harming anyone if they represent a threat to his people and his allies.

When in a relaxing or calming environment, Gaster, while quiet and sometimes deep in thought is a rather easygoing individual who can easily be conversed with. Due to his scientist background, Gaster enjoys talking about technology and any of their possible applications.

When he is in the midst of combat, Gaster almost always has a level headed approach to situations, but when something or someone important to Gaster is within the line of fire, he takes a serious demeanor and will kill if necessary to protect those close to him. However, when someone close to him has fallen in the field of battle to an enemy, Gaster becomes the very epitome of tranquil fury, remaining in absolute control of his feelings, but allow fury to fuel his resolve to continue fighting until he is physically incapable of continuing, or his foe has fallen.

Backstory:
Once the Royal Scientist in service to King Asgore Dreemurr, W.D Gaster is the father of Sans and Papyrus as well as the lead designer of The Core, a massive facility designed to absorb the thermal energy of the Underground in order to provide a power source to the citizens of the Underground. While also being the lead designer of The Core, Gaster was also focused on raising his children through the busy schedule of his life. While much about his history has been forgotten to most, at one point in time Sans had requested to apply as a scientist, something that Gaster was all too eager to help prepare for his son. Through asking King Asgore if Sans could be allowed to work alongside him, Sans would undergo the application process for Assistant Scientist.

To Gaster's delight, Sans had passed the application process, essentially becoming Gaster's aide while he worked diligently on the continued design plans and production of The Core. As pressure began to mount on the demand of The Core, Gaster was forced to allocate more time to the project and less on his children, an act that somewhat began to strain the relationship between Gaster and Sans, but never to the point where the two would argue. One day however, disaster struck, during a routine test of The Core's power activation process, The Core would overload, generating a short lived portal into what would then be known simply as The Void, with Gaster falling into his own creation seemingly forever being scattered throughout Space and Time, but not before saying one thing to his son Sans "Never Forget".

While it is unknown if Sans truly forgot about his father, Gaster's fall into The Void resulted in all known memories of his existence being forgotten to almost everyone in the Underground, but also offered an advantage to Gaster for his SOUL Magic had been altered to allow him to dish out physical damage alongside his normal Soul Damage capabulities. Forever damned to be scattered throughout Space and Time, Gaster was forced to witness the continued resets of his timeline and eventually, forced to witness the faithful battle between his now grown up son Sans, and the Chara, The Fallen Human who had managed to possess the body of Frisk during a Genocide Route.

Although through some miracle that Frisk was able to free themselves from the influence of Chara, fusing with Sans and being able to defeat The Fallen Human, Gaster became interested by this development, wondering if he was able to absorb the soul of Frisk would he be able to return back to the physical realm. While he attempted to absorb the soul of Frisk, later failing and being defeated by Sans. It was apparent that destiny had an interesting fate in mind for the Man who Speaks in Hands, as he would later be revived by Sans in order to battle against Chara, The Fallen Human once more, who had drained the Determination out of Frisk using the Determination Extraction Device. Eventually, through the help of Asriel Dreemurr, Chara had successfully been converted from her corruptive evil, giving the remnants of their soul to Asriel so that he too may have a physical body.

Upon being freed from the Underground however, Gaster was nowhere to be found. While unknown to most, Gaster had attempted to teleport to a location now forgotten to most when a disturbance in the Space-Time Continuum resulted in Gaster being transported to a location far from his home.

#PandorasBoxCharacters

Character Name: Sans The Skeleton (Sans for short)| The Comedian
Gender: Male
Appearance: Eyes are White Dots when not using using magic
Species: Skeleton Monster
Age: Early 30's
Universe of Origin: Glitchtale
Alignment: Neutral Good

Abilities:
  • Magic: Like all monsters, Sans's powers revolve around the manipulation of SOUL Magic, the essence of power that flows within the souls of both monster and humankind in the Glitchtale. The main property of Sans' SOUL Magic contains the following powers and abilities:
    • Teleportation: A power he presumably inherited from his father Gaster, Sans has the ability to teleport both at short and long range. Due to his Glass Cannon status however, Sans has refined this short range teleportation ability to its nth degree, being able to dodge fast attacks simply through teleportation.
    • Aim Dodging: Due to his status as a Glass Cannon, Sans has refined his reflexes to the point that his ability to dodge other fast attacks are basically second nature to him, meaning that while usually a single hit is a death sentence for him, his ability to dodge can make it difficult for even the most skilled of enemies to kill him.
    • Bone Magic/Manipulation: A power inherited through his father Gaster, Sans has the ability to both summon bones and manipulate them however to his liking. As one of the primary abilities in his arsenal, Sans has achieved a level of mastery with this power that allows him to create a large number of bones for attack and defensive purposes and also allows him to control who and wherever they impact.
      • Gaster Blaster Summoning: Seen as the next level of Bone Magic Manipulation, Sans has inherited the ability to summon floating constructs known as Gaster Blasters from his father. It should also be known that these Gaster Blasters have three capabilities, one of which allows Gaster Blasters to fire a wave of blue energy towards their opponent, however their lethality reflects that of the caster. The second ability is to use the Gaster Blaster for defensive purposes, as it can serve as a protective wall that can keep the user safe from harm. The third ability is a supplemental power in which the caster can stand atop the Gaster Blaster for extremely fast transportation.
        • Gaster Blastermination: Known as his Real Special Attack, Sans has the ability to summon two walls of Gaster Blasters simultaneously and attack his opponent(s) with a multitude of blue energy beams that emerge from said Gaster Blasters. However, Sans can only use this attack once before becoming extremely exhausted.

Weaknesses:
  • Glass Cannon: His biggest weakness first and foremost, Sans is extremely fragile in the sense that if he suffers a direct blow from an opponent, he has the possibility of dying from said attack. This does not apply for minor accidental injuries he may suffer, while he will not die from accidental injuries it is believed that the impact on his physique will be much more noticeable.
  • Limited Stamina: As the name implies and one of his key weaknesses, Sans has a limited amount of stamina that has a direct impact on his movement speed and at its worse, his Magic use. As it stands, Sans has a stamina capacity of up to ten minutes while in battle, meaning that if he pushes himself to said limit of ten minutes, he will become exhausted and will need to rest and recuperate before recovering his stamina.
    • Gaster Blastermination: Due to the sheer amount of Magic required to activate Sans' Special Attack, the moment he uses his Gaster Blastermination technique he will automatically suffer from extreme exhaustion and fatigue to the point that his movement speed and magic use becomes compromized.

Personality:
Sans has a relaxed and easygoing personality. His laziness is a the result of learning about Flowey's resets. But, after the end of Continue, he knew that this timeline won't get resetted, at least not without the chance of getting erased. That gave him the motivation he needed to fight for what's right and defend his friends and loved ones more than anything. This clearly implies that Sans has become determined

In the original game Undertale, he always wondered if his indolence stems from his knowledge that any progress he makes will be erased when the timeline resets. He also suggested that his knowledge could be "a poor excuse for being lazy." But, that's not the case in Glitchtale. Due to the glitches, Sans gained the ability to remember all the timelines. Though Sans is usually an agreeable monster, he can be extremely serious at times. He is also observant, enjoys making bad puns, and hates making promises.

Noteworthy Equipment:
  • Papyrus' Scarf: Before embarking on his quest to find his father and bring him home, Sans brought with him one of Papyrus' scarfs so that he carries a constant reminder with him to return back to his universe safe and sound with his father in tow.

Backstory:
- Considering that much of Sans' background is explained upon in Gaster's application, I am requesting that I be able to skip Sans' background in it's entirety. -

Character Name: Master Shimura | Apostille of The Light | The Wayward Sage
Gender: Male
Appearance: Apostille of Spera
Species: Enhanced Human
Age: Roughly 4,000 Years Old
Universe of Origin: The Masakiverse
Alignment: Somewhere between Lawful Good and Chaotic Good, leaning neither way in particular

Abilities:
  • The Nexus/Natural Energy Manipulation: A Cosmic Force that is prevalent throughout the entirety of the Masakiverse, The Nexus acts in ways similar to The Force, however unlike it's counterpart The Nexus is far more malleable, offers additional powers, and is not traditionally Light or Dark. Combined with being the first person to ever encounter the Celestials and having endured years of training under them, Shimura's Nexus Sensitivity was further amplified to the point that his appearance could encourage the growth of plants, trees, and other natural phenomena in his general vicinity. Not only that, but because of his immersion within the Nexus
    • Enhanced Condition: A direct result from his first encounter with the Celestials, and the training he endured while under their tutelage, Shimura's body was exposed to copious amounts of Nexus Energy that would normally overwhelm others within moments. But due to his training would Master Shimura's body begin adapting to these energies and put them to good use, by enhancing his physical and mental capabilities and particularly his instincts and reflexes.
      • Aura Manipulation: One of the signs of his rather close connection to The Nexus, Master Shimura has shown an affinity in manipulating the powers of his spiritual essence. It was because of this that Shimura was eventually trained in the ways of the Divine Arts of The White Lotus, allowing him to manipulate his spiritual energy to achieve a number of things, namely being able to create a sphere of handheld energy and throw it at his foes which would damage his foes, create a shield of spiritual energy in order to protect himself or others and even heal those who are injured, as well as himself. He would also be able to imbue any objects he has on his person with this aura, effectively increasing their durability and their strength and even generate bolts of lightning made out of aura.
      • Telekinesis/Telepathy: An ability that is commonly bestowed to those who have a connection to The Nexus, Master Shimura has the ability to lift objects with his mind, communicate telepathically with other individuals, and use abilities that are similar to that of Force Users.
    • Pressure Point Intuition: Over time, Shimura has shown a disdain for killing in general, including his foes. This has led to him seeking an alternate method in which he could incapacitate his enemies without killing him, this interest eventually led to him discovering the mystical art of Xangzhu, otherwise known as the "Mystical Art of the Hidden Orchard", a type of martial arts that is based solely on basing one's attacks on the pressure points of others. Having achieved mastery of this art in a short amount of time, Shimura has the ability to incapacitate his foes by attacking their pressure points.

Weaknesses:
  • If Shimura's pressure points have been interrupted in any way, so will his ability to utilize his aura, effectively meaning if one of his connections are blocked, he will not be able to use his Aura.
  • Consequently, Master Shimura has yet to fully master the Divine Arts of the White Lotus and can only utilize only one aura type at a time. (OOC Note: Applications of Aura Manipulation are based purely on their color types.)
    • Advanced abilities within Aura Manipulation, such as Space-Time Manipulation, and Gravity Manipulation are far out of Master Shimura's skill level and will be unable to manipulate these things.
  • Within the presence of things such as Power Suppressors, Master Shimura will be unable to use any of his powers, as The Nexus is considered to be a psionic-based Cosmic Force.
  • Beings who don't have human-looking bodies may also have different pressure points, and as a result, his Pressure Point knowledge may not work against those who have different bodies from humans.

Personality:
Master Shimura is reputed for his wisdom and benevolence as his knowledge about the Masakiverse seconds that of the Celestials themselves and his willingness to share some of this knowledge with others in the hopes that they would share similar aspirations as him to restore the fragile state of the Aquila Galaxy in particular. Shimura was also characterized by his loving and caring nature, being willing to take in those less fortunate than him and help them along their way through imparting his wisdom onto them if they desired it, or even offering them a place to stay until they got onto their feet. Shimura is very well known for his desire to protect the innocent from any harm, even willing to fight for those less fortunate than him, this is demonstrated through his sheer determination to never give up on what he holds dear.

Master Shimura will stand staunchly against those who show any evil or malicious intention, even deviating from his stance on nonviolence if he deems it absolutely necessary and will refrain from killing his opponent unless they are determined to be irredeemable for their heinous crimes. If faced before a helpless foe who has been disarmed and no longer has any weapons on his person, Shimura will outright refuse to kill them and will likely incapacitate them or try to convince them to change their ways, even choosing to defend those who show the potential to be driven from the darkness and back to the light. Shimura also acknowledges that sometimes he was required to remain firm in his convictions and would not be above teaching a lesson to those who were in need of it, albeit in a nonviolent way and never intending to throw those who need disciplinary action in harm's way.

In serious situations such as battle, Shimura remains level headed, making sure to never let the flow of battle get to him and possibly make him do things that he may regret in the future. When morale appears to be low and others believe that a battle is lost, Shimura will almost always try to rally his allies and reassure them that by working not only as a united front, but also as a cohesive will they eventually win the day.

Noteworthy Equipment:
  • Staff of Asimov: A Quarterstaff imbued with the energies of The Nexus and forged out of the wood of the Animos Tree, the Staff of Asimov boasts impressive durability and when handled by a user of The Nexus can a user imbue his aura into the quarterstaff to increase the damage output of the staff.

Backstory:
The Story of Master Shimura begins far before the creation of the legendary Old Masaki Dynasty and during an age in which the infant Aquila Galaxy was in a transitory state and the Age of Barbarism was very much in full swing. Born on Sigma Galli Prime to a family whose name has since been long forgotten, Shimura has very little recollection of his early life but does indeed recall that as he grew up on Sigma Galli Prime that his family was not spared from the Age of Barbarism's effects as Sigma Galli Prime was reputed for its rich resources and natural prosperity, as a result Sigma Galli Prime was a place in which pirates and warlords occupied the planet and used its resources to fuel their armies. One day, when a rival warlord faction made its presence known on the Utopia World, their presence inciting a war with the already present faction which was already inhabiting the world of Sigma Galli Prime.

As years followed this conflict that resulted in the deaths of his family, Shimura was left wandering the world of Sigma Galli Prime, his original purpose lost to even himself as he ventured deep into the vast forests of his homeworld in search for his destiny. Eventually however, Shimura would stumble upon a tree surrounded by cooling rock formations and a stream of lava pouring off of the precipice of the cliff. This particular tree, which was known as the Tree of Animos served as a form of epiphany for the young Master Shimura. According to the legend of Asimov, the Tree of Animos was said to be the giver of life to a planet, fueling the planet's survival by the planting of the Nexus Seed, a seed imbued with the powers of the Nexus Cosmic Force.

As Shimura stared at the majestic tree with awe, he could feel a hidden energy within his body begin to unfurl and manifest itself as a thin green aura that surrounded his body as he reached out to the tree, gently placing his palm upon its trunk. And as his green aura began to enter into the Tree of Animos, Shimura would witness an apparition of fire manifest itself at the cliffside of the tree, it's power in the Nexus overwhelming the young Shimura and making him lose consciousness. When Master Shimura regained his consciousness, the surface he lied upon was different, it was as smooth as silk and as solid as granite. Hovering over him was that same fiery apparition that appeared in front of the Tree of Animos, and to his surprize it spoke:

"You, child of humanity. I can sense your plight, your struggle, your desire to learn of your true objective in this broken world. What stood before you just moments ago was the very seed of life that provides a select few planet with the energy necessary to evolve and thrive in such a land of discord, It is not only a seed of life for a select few worlds, it is a beacon of destiny that reacts to the energy of a chosen few. For you, Young Shimura are a bearer of life: the chosen caretaker of Sigma Galli Prime, and the predicted apostle of the God of Light. However, like all children of destiny, it is you who have the ability to accept or reject this path that has been laid out for you, will you heed the call of destiny young one?" To which, this young wanderer knelt before the apparition of fire, pledging his allegiance to the apparition, and by extension: The Celestials themselves.

As the years passed by and the centuries dragged by, Shimura continued his training under the God of Light himself, honing his natural talent with the Nexus, until one day: the God of Light and the God of Darkness disappeared and the Aquila Galaxy descended into nothing but anarchy. This would lead to Shimura embarking on a quest to find the Celestials and return the Aquila Galaxy to it's natural state.

Alright, after discussing things with Naval Monte, Gaster is re-accepted at Tier 3, Sans is accepted at Tier 2, and Shimura is accepted at Tier 3, provided the "growth of plants, trees, and other natural phenomena in his general vicinity" you mentioned doesn't include storms or other such natural disasters.

Yeah, left it out for two specific reasons:

1. It could be considered OP because of the effect it can have on those who have killed or hurt a lot of people.
2. There really hasn't been much of a mention of Karmic Retribution being a thing on Glitchtale, Camilla didn't really mention anything about it tbh.

I can see how those two factors would lead to KR's removal. I guess with the three players we wait for them and hope they aren't to busy on their ends. For now I will go on with the plan I have in the station.

Well, it's updated, the mental domination will now affect her powers which she'll get exhausted since she's weak at this point, so yeah..

The New Byzantine II wrote:Well, this application will be on hold if the first character have already a good participation in IC in the period of time.

I generally assume that divergences mean they're from an alternate universe (what with the infinite multiverse and all), but we allow characters from alternate universes so it's fine.[/quote]

Okay, and I guess the second app would be on hold for now..

Near the Holodeck and Conference Room, a hostage situation is going down between War's character, mine, Urran's, and a few Spectres. It was part of a holodeck shenanigans bit.

I was thinking of letting char!Torii and Katya loose for less actiony exploration and decorating the Hub.
