Since me and the co-ops are all quite busy for the time being, I'll probably put new apps on hold until we're finished up with the Skyrim universe.

Well we don't want to give away too much, so it won't be a fully intact memory core, but you could maybe say that the self-destruct didn't fully complete so the memory chip was just badly damaged instead of completely destroyed. That said, I would strongly recommend waiting to get up onto the wall until the strike force completes their mission and outflanks them (like, really really strongly). Keep in mind that Revan may think the Obas units are battle droids (since that's the closest point of comparison he has for them) but they're Descendant units, which makes them alot more dangerous (especially in large numbers).

Loses a copy from his dimensional stores whenever he takes fatal injuries. Assimilated copies allow for heightened response and mental processing capabilities. Assimilated copies, once killed, assume all physical damage and wear taken by the host and dissipate to return to their home dimension to avoid multiple death paradox in home universe.

-Augmented Universal and General Interdimensional Research (A.U.G.I.R.) Device; Able to extrapolate, via the parallel divergence rate of a universe from the origin of travel, the approximate time period (within one decade Earth Real-Time), Divergence Level (Base Percentage), & Location (Within one Galactic Radii)

Weaknesses:
-I.P.A.A.S. allows for multiple personalities to express themselves subconsciously while more active and collected attempts by the collected assimilated often result in near-schizophrenic outbursts. Psycho-anomalies, formed by conflicting thoughts or internal brain processes lead to Forced-Bypass Overrides from the I.P.A.A.S. to avoid mental paradoxes. These usually take less than a second to resolve, but can result in severe migraines and temporary neural trauma.

-A.U.G.I.R. can be fooled by false external input. It uses a widely updated array of semi-intelligent environmental analysis systems tied with various astronomical, electro-magnetic, radio, and chemical cues to determine location. False stimuli or errant stimuli to enough of the A.U.G.I.R. device can render the readings or predictions of events unstable or entirely inaccurate.

Personality:
A well-meaning man when he built the I.P.A.A.S., he'd hoped to bring on a means of allowing for enhanced personal interdimensional transport by the swapping of consciousness through parallel existences. The result of his assimilation of so many copies of himself, many against their will, has resulted in a more cold and callous side emerging. He's become an opportunist and while he avoids pain and death entirely, he has been known to abuse his abilities to last through what others would call certain death. He's gained a disregard for the agents of death and has become dismissive of, if not entirely absent-minded towards the concept of his alternative version's senses of self-preservation in spite of the occasional lapse in judgement. A calm and semi-emotionless exterior has become his resting face as he requires constant mental discipline to fight against if not control the hordes of himself he's assimilated for his usage.

Backstory (minimum of one paragraph):
Genius inventor. Top notch scientist dabbling in trans-dimensional research. Father of Interdimensional persona anchoring. Murderer of self. Enslaver of the soul. Names and titles all given to the man known as Mordecai Ezrah Bastion, but just how did he come to earn such strange if not intriguing titles one may ask? Well sit down and I'll tell you the folly of a man, no, a boy. One who thought the world was his as he had tampered with the fabric of the multiverse, trying to circumvent reality itself by changing the very nature of his existence around him. Instead, he created the monster that now has become Legion.

Legion's first attempt at interdimensional travel came at the cost of something he'd not anticipated. As he'd tried to merge his mind with that of a parallel existence of himself, he'd unknowingly determined his copy of himself to be the universal and likewise interdimensional anchor of his existence and the existence of all others like him. The world, as he now knows it, is a place where he exists to be assimilated. No matter the variant, no matter the differences, he will try to devour the soul of himself first and foremost. It began with the most noble of intentions as he'd assimilated first all copies of himself that had also been working on creating near-successful interdimensional phase-shift and anchoring devices. He, however, was the only one to ever make it as far as he had. It was because of this that he soon came to the realization that there was no way to separate himself but to disable the anchor, at which point he'd risk death.

As he continued to roam the multiverse, it became known that he was hunting for versions of himself to enhance his intellect and computational ability. Held hostage for a few months by unknown entities, he suffered countless deaths through torture of his mind. The ensuing chaos and insanity that unfolded in himself forced a reconciling of his persona. Forcing himself to gain a hold of the collective sum of himself, he changed fundamentally and turned on his captors. Using superior reaction timing and speed, he quickly dispatched his foes before killing them all and escaping back into the multiverse. When he'd finally been told whom he'd killed, it was revealed it had been a group of interdimensional anti-terrorist agents from a universe that had neighbored his original existence. Running into the depths of the multiverse, he finally ended up on the metaphorical steps of the Quantum Conduit, wanting to seek out the origins of the technology that ultimately ruined his life while seeking redemption for his actions in saving the universe from the Ascendant... or at least, redemption from those who matter.

Well, again, the Hub can still only create Conduits to one universe at a time (that was specifically intended to ensure PCs were only ever in the Hub universe or mission universe at any given time, as having PCs running amok throughout the multiverse would be too difficult to keep track of). The only other universes or parallel dimensions he could visit would be the ones that the players vote on and missions occur in. The tech improvements are alright though; since I imagine the new rules will diminish his ability to assimilate new lives, maybe the full body-suit could also improve his armor and serve to reduce the probability of his losing his lives, to help offset that disadvantage.

Character Name: Sloan Redfern

Gender: Female

Appearance: Sloan has a lanky, raccoon-like look to her, her hair a dull scraggly brownish-black, and a somewhat gaunt appearance to her. She does have a magical-girl like magical girl costume, but it is usually hidden behind the equally dull brown coat she wears, which she has very recently replaced with a much nicer (albeit not as warm) black one. The uniform itself is your typical standard magical girl fare - frilly and dominated by golds and whites, with an appearance somewhere between Pretty Cure and Lyrical Nanoha - frilly and girlish, but not too impractical. It still has a damn miniskirt But seven months straight of depression and low wraiths and getting swept up in a plan to liberate a god(dess) from Satan and Hell makes you not want to show it off too much. (OOC: I'm guessing on her actual magical girl uniform's appearance and her age, besides the color, miniskirt, and frilliness it's never explicitly stated)

Alignment: Neutral Good

Abilities:

• Magical Girl physiology - Sloan's regeneration ability is incredible - as long as her Soul Gem is not destroyed, she can theoretically regenerate from a single cell. She does not need to eat, breathe, or even breathe in order to survive as her physiology is simply that efficient - though that may not be good for her psychological condition. Her physical strength is also well beyond that of a human, although as far as purely combat-oriented Magical Girls go she isn't particularly strong. She is also incredibly durable - being hit by a car merely dazes her, jumping out a five-story window doesn't even slow her down, being within inches of lava doesn't harm her (though it does annoy her), and survived a fall from above the cloud deck to the roof of a 60-story building without any truly serious injuries. Poison is also wholly ineffective as are, presumably, diseases. Because technically speaking, Sloan is a lich.
• Immense Pain Tolerance - Magical Girls can reduce their ability to sense pain, though some are better at this than others. Even by Magical Girl standards, Sloan can withstand incredible amounts of pain.
• Wish-related powers - In the universe of Madoka Magica, a Magical Girl's powers are dependent on their Wish - Sloan wished for her sister to be able to see,
  therefore her powers are largely related to light and vision.
  • She can heal her eyes and the eyes of others at a far higher rate than she can heal anything else, and her vision is largely immune to attempts to weaken it.
  • She can see through most (if not all) invisibility-related illusions and powers.
  • Her primary Magical Girl weapon is a minigun that fires bolts of light, and because it is powered by her magic, it does not need to reload, only be spun up. Its fire can be charged to fire explosive bolts of light. She can control it telekinetically.
  • She can make objects lighter or even weightless, including herself, but the limit seems to be a few hundred pounds.
  • She can blast enemies away using light magic at close range, as well as emit a burst of light to blind them.
  • She can create an illuminating ball of light.
  • She can sew threads using light.
  • She can generate heat with her light, but she has to will this to happen consciously.
  • She can leave an afterimage decoy of herself, though it is fairly obvious that it's a fake. Sending light through a prism can create much more elaborate and convincing decoys.
  • She can mold light into large thunderbolts and throw them like javelins. They have no special abilities besides their high speed.
  • She has a 'finisher' (Her Pale Fire She Snatches From The Sun) that transforms her minigun into a giant cannon that emits a devastating beam of light, however it can only be used when the Sun is out.

Weaknesses: Sloan can withstand enormous punishment, her Soul Gem cannot. If her Soul Gem is destroyed, she dies period, and is not sent to 'heaven' via the Law of Cycles. If her Soul Gem is too far away from her body (roughly 100 meters), she collapses and her body will start to rot as if it were a corpse, not to mention her Soul Gem's condition will rapidly deteriorate. If her Soul Gem is not regularly purged of despair, it will slowly deteriorate and she will be taken via the Law of Cycles. If the process of the Law of Cycles is interrupted, the Soul Gem will turn into a Grief Seed and she will transform into a Witch, which is a very high Tier 4 monster that can warp reality within its Labyrinth, a pseudo-pocket dimension. Her Soul Gem's condition is also tied to her psychological condition - if she is hopeful and happy it will steadily improve and be in good condition, if she falls into despair it will blacken and deteriorate. None of her light-related abilites move at the speed of light, despite them being made of light. They do move very fast however. Sloan is also not the brightest - she isn't stupid, but being a magical girl for 3 years and having ran away from her home turf and home home of Minneapolis 7 months ago hasn't been good for grades, you know?

Personality: Sloan is a hardened cynic and prone to snarking. Though she has warmed up upon reaching Mitakihara, it'll take one hell of a fire to warm the icy armor she has set up around her heart after the losses and betrayal she has sustained, one after another, in the mere 7 months since she was betrayed by her former best friend.

Noteworthy Equipment: Current new coat, older brown coat, wallet, Soul Gem (in inactive form, in the form of a silver ring with the Gem embedded as, well, a gem on her middle finger), ID, passport.

Backstory: Sloan Redfearn, also known by her title Fargo (Magical Girls in America are usually referred to by the city they control/are assigned to by more powerful Magical Girls by everyone except their close friends), is a Magical Girl from Minnesota. Born in Born in Scottsdale, Arizona, her family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota early in her life. She became jealous of her blind twin sister, since everyone praised her and gave her attention due to her blindness, leaving Sloan in her shadow. When the Incubator gave Sloan the chance to contract with him for a wish, Sloan wished to heal her sister's blindness out of jealousy. After becoming a magical girl, she eventually became the most powerful magical girl in the city, claiming the title of "Minneapolis" and ruling over the other magical girls in the city. However, Sloan was betrayed, defeated, and cast out of the city by Clair Ibsen, her subordinate and closest friend. After her defeat, she fled to the nearby city of Fargo, nursing a grudge against Clair and wasting away in the cold city. Seven months later, she heard of an opportunity from the Incubator to slay an archon and collect a vast amount of grief cubes and she traveled to Williston, where she teamed up with Delaney Pollack (Regina-Saskatoon) and Erika Dufrense (Winnipeg) to find and defeat the archon.

It worked, but they were shadowed by a Magical Girl claiming to be Omaha who had powers of invisibility and attempted on their lives, allegedly under the orders of Clair, and Winnipeg was taken by the Law of Cycles shortly after the Archon's defeat. Her drive now focused singularly on Clair Ibsen, Sloan made way for the city of Minneapolis with Delaney going with her. Once there she was attacked by (most) of Clair's subordinates, most notably St. Paul, an autistic girl chosen as Clair's second solely for her ability to reflect light. They found assistance in Ramsey and, of all people, Omaha, who claimed she was on a mission from the Goddess as dictated by her Friend - Kyubey. At this point, Akemi Homura, the Demon-God of this world, took note and sent a Terminatrix to deal with them, however the Terminatrix was killed, but not before Delaney had her powers stolen and was captured by Clair, who revealed that they were both half-Kyubey thus explaining their lack of real empathy. Homura also sent some of her 'dolls' (servants of Homura) to deal with Sloan directly. Omaha helped deal with them, as it was revealed that she was, somehow, Homura's clone. Sloan at last made to attack Clair but was interrupted by Anoka, a Magical Girl with the ability to make those who attack her feel her pain twofold. Sloan defeated her through sheer force of will, and eventually defeated Clair. This act of killing even a former friend was deemed a Sin by Homura, and Clair transformed into an Archon that nearly destroyed the city and did manage to result in the deaths of Ramsey, Delaney, and St. Paul, and nearly killed Anoka - who gave Sloan enough of a pep talk to finish what Clair had started - cause an enormous Archon to form in Minneapolis, use the Grief Cubes to absorb all her grief and hypercharge her Soul Gem, and attempt to defeat Homura and liberate the true God of this world. She would have managed the Grief Cubes, but Kyubey convinced the zealous girls under Chicago's leadership to come and take them. They nearly captured Sloan and Omaha (who had powers that let her hide between dimensions, out of Homura's influence or detection), and did capture Hennepin, whom they tortured and forced to learn Japanese to assist in their capture of Sloan - Hennepin's Wish let her learn skills at superhuman speed.

Sloan made the journey to Mitakihara, Japan, and after a brief bout with wraiths and Kyokou an understanding was brought between them that she wasn't looking for territory, just Homura - Sloan wasn't fully convinced that Homura was a reality-warping demon just yet. Homura by now considered Sloan (and Omaha) a serious threat and killed her, but was then forced to rewind time to before Sloan's death when Sayaka and Nagisa attempted to capture Madoka and take her to Omaha's pocket dimension which would have let her revert to her godly state. After a battle with a particularly powerful wraith assisted by Mami, Sloan was taken to Omaha's dimension a second time and finally agreed to assist... tomorrow, which was Christmas Day. After a brief Christmas Party in which Sloan got her new jacket, the Chicago girls finally caught up to her. Sloan was pretty strong, and Mami and Kyoko were very strong, but they were grossly outnumbered and forced to retreat towards Homura's house to accelerate the plan they had. As the Chicago girls approached with a (dead) Kyoko and (unconscious) Sloan, they laid siege to Homura's house, which finally forced the reclusive demon out. Sayaka and Nagisa wasted no time starting their offensive, which Homura held off with nonexistent trouble. Nagisa was killed in this attack, and Mami immediately fell to despair. Sloan, not realizing what she was doing, grabbed hold of the doll Homura used to operate the Law of Cycles to prevent it from 'killing' Mami, who promptly turned into a Witch, and Sloan was mistakenly taken to the Law of Cycles, where she escaped back to the mortal world with Erika and Delaney's help. A three-way battle resulted. After defeating the Witch with the assistance of one of the Chicago girls, Sloan began to make the climb towards Homura's apartment with Hennepin in tow (she could make a prism that would help distract the dolls guarding Madoka). After Homura began to turn the battle in her favor, Sloan was forced to 'kill' Madoka, which forced Homura to send the timeline back to before Nagisa was killed. The next battle, sans Mami as a Witch, went much more in their favor, for a while, but eventually Homura again held the line, even with her now protecting Madoka herself. So Omaha went with her backup plan and tried to cause so much despair that Madoka would 'wake up' herself.

By using the nukes she had hid in her pocket dimension to blow up every major city (NOT part of QB's plan, who had been up to this point playing her like a fiddle - Kyuubey's plan was to get Madoka, Homura, and Omaha in the pocket dimension and set off the nukes, killing Omaha and trapping/killing the other two in the dimension for eternity, freeing him to combat entropy as he pleased).

Whether it worked or not, Sloan doesn't know, because the blast startled Omaha and she accidentally threw her into a rip in the dimension to God-knows where.

Just so everyone knows, I am going to be editing my last post with how J.D. gets through the gate. I decided it would be impossibly small - even for his future tech - for there to be a micro, gas-powered blowtorch. So, I'll think of something else. One of his expanding cables, maybe.
