Wtf, shouldn't NY have a helleva Navy, and Industrial power?

well, we had a battleship... had a battleship.
and I think I'm going to withdraw the fleet I was going to send as a relief/rescue fleet for the now sinking New York ship, so the Virginian/New English fleets can blast them to smithereens.

as for the Industrial Power, many of the factories are run by local cronies of Spaatz who lower down the reported production numbers of armaments in order to keep the rest, sell them on the black market to the highest bidder and pocket the change.

Actually, Pennsylvania has a rather large steel industry, and has oil. Also, NYC is the largest city in America, and has more people than Texas as a whole does right now. Well, Spatz being Spatz, I doubt he'd really do much about that.

I'll have Spaatz call up volunteers first for the war effort and demand that women begin to work in factories, but not have too many rights, we don't want them thinking of real democracy in the empire! *scoffs*

Oil my friend, we're not getting this off purely Taxes. Also, I'm not building the the number of Carriers America had.

To convert a carrier cost 400 thousand and that is just to convert from a collier.

A single Lexington class cost 45 million to make. Even if Texas had all the oil under state control and sold it to the highest bidder. To build them along with battleships and then maintain them would be beyond their capabilities

Yeah, all of the US, not a few midwestern states.

The old Rust Belt states still made a large amount of those vehicles, and steel. The population was concentrated in those areas, and the cities were amongst the largest in America.

No doubt about it. I just believe the railway guns are a little unrealistic and the large numbers. Just lower those numbers a little bit and I would be fine.

You still can't afford the cost to build them in the first place. Your economy can't support such costs and would collapse.

They honestly aren't that practical, and I really don't have too many. Those things take hours to position and fire, so they're mostly just for the shock and awe part of warfare. Those 240 mm SPGs take hours to set in place and fire as well.

I'll probably have the frontlines break with this new cloud of gas rolling across the field until some generals restore order and try to hold it with whatever men they could find with a love of guns.

Considering we're both Nazi, a formal alliance may be in their best interests. Although perhaps it'll only happen when tensions increase in the buildup to WWII
