1. BACKSTORY Image
Las Vegas, the modern-day Sodom to some and Eden to others. It may be no small coincidence that the City of Light is also the Sin City - 'Lucifer' does mean 'light-bearer' after all. An island in the desert, the entertainment capital of the world, this is where the rich, the lucky, the reckless, and the desperate come to claim their fortune, one way or another. People from all walks of life are drawn here, like an oasis in the desert. And yet, there is a definite air of affluence here - while anyone can come, visit, and even stay here, it takes a certain something to truly make it here, and to make it one must make it to the top, where one can exert control on those below. This is a city where society is high and the stakes are higher.

And the stakes have never been this high before.

The world is in a state of great political flux. Donald Trump is president of the United States, Marine Le Pen stands a real chance of becoming president of France, and Japan has narrowly avoided electing the nationalistic Masayoshi Shido after revelations of his involvement in a series of deliberately-triggered mental shutdowns, psychotic breakdowns, and the murder of fast food giant Okumura Food's CEO sank his career. The trial is still ongoing, but guilty or not his career is ruined and Japan's lack of a clear future Prime Minister is doing nothing good for Japan or the world economy.

But even those geopolitical tides seem distant here, in an island of gambling surrounded by miles upon miles of mountains and desert. Here, people have more interesting problems. Some are the typical problems befitting a major metropolis - crime, town politicians, the police being either too harsh or not harsh enough. Some are the typical problems befitting a city in the desert - heat, heat, more heat, and drought, though this year has been unusually wet. Some are the typical problems befitting an entertainment center, especially one with casinos - fire-and-brimstone preachers screaming damnation, how the next roll of the dice will turn out, whether you'll be able to pay back your debts or not. And of course, there are the ones unique to the southwestern United States - rumors of aliens and their spacecraft, bizarre experiments by the US military out north in Groom Lake, new age cults promising healing through crystals or peace via a comet ride.

One such cult claims to offer trips to the 'spirit world' (and back) to its most devoted followers. Called the Church of the Holy Light, it has begun to gain traction in the Southwest. A secretive organization (though by no means hidden from public eye), it has somehow managed to avoid even the slightest scandal, despite rumored disappearances connected to it in the past few months, ever since it started up in fact. Also in the past few months are semi-regular reports of lights in the desert - great orange lights that glow like an inferno before vanishing. Impossible to see from Vegas, but on a clear night out in the desert...

Which to high school students like you, means the Church is obviously up to the shadiest of shady business. Of course, you have no proof, and even if you did, what could you do? Such things are beyond your control.

Besides, for all you know it could just be teenage suspicion of anything remotely authoritative getting to you. For all you know the Church of the Holy Light really is on the up and up.

More importantly, it's the first of May and finals are rapidly approaching at Montana del Rey High School located in Las Vegas Proper which, despite being an upper-class school in ostensibly an upper-class district, is rather lax on what part of Clark County it lets students in from, geographically and economically. You're on a bus ride on the school's regular camping trip in the desert when there's an accident - the bus flips and the driver, all of the teachers and chaperones, and several of your fellow students are dead. You survive, but you're in the middle of nowhere and there's an orange light in the distance...

2. THE INTRO Image
As some of you may have been able to tell from the title, Persona: Unconquered Fate is an RP set in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona universe, taking place shortly after the events of Persona 5. As such, this is an urban fantasy psychological horror story. You play a group of high school students gifted with the ability to summon a Persona, a physical manifestation of the user's personality. You'll be normal students (and some adults) by day, Shadow hunters by night, brought together by the hands of fate and the knowledge that something is causing these disappearances, and the Shadows are probably connected to it, and possibly this new cult. TL;DR you're high schoolers and you summon manifestations of your soul to fight demons.

But the realm of Shadows is not populated merely by regular Shadows, and you may not be alone here in the dark...

3. MECHANICS Image
While this RP is based off an RPG series, I believe that keeping this too mechanics-heavy will only serve as a detriment to playing. This isn't a dice RP and RPs on this forum too heavily based on tabletop-like mechanics tend to die. So we'll be going light here. In the Persona series, all Persona skills drain either HP (Physical skills) or SP (Magic skills), but here combat will be all fluff - however I trust you to know your character's limitations and not act like they're bottomless tanks of HP and SP.

This RP will use a combination of Persona 3 and Persona 5's elements for the simple reason that Persona 4's merging of the physical Skills into one element is kinda silly, and Persona 5 only brought Pierce back for physical. A general rule of thumb is that Slash beats Pierce beats Strike beats Slash, and that Electricity beats Wind beats Fire beats Ice beats Electricity. Psy and Nuclear both have out-of-battle uses, Holy and Dark beat each other, and pretty much nothing is immune or resistant to Almighty. However these are far more guidelines than rules. Or in the words of Teddie from Hiimdaisy's Persona 4 comic: "Some shadows have weaknesses. But they never make any sense! So just guess until you get it right."

  • Slash: Physical attack with blades.
  • Strike: Physical attacks with blunt objects or the Persona's body.
  • Pierce: Physical attacks with projectiles.
  • Fire: Self-explanatory.
  • Ice: Self-explanatory.
  • Elec: Self-explanatory.
  • Wind: Self-explanatory.
  • Light: White magic/exorcism-esque magic. Comes in two types, Kou-spells which work like normal, and Hama-spells which instakill if they hit.
  • Dark: Dark magic-esque magic. Comes in two types, Ei-spells which work like normal, and Mudo-spells which instakill if they hit.
  • Psychokinesis: Self-explanatory.
  • Nuclear: Self-explanatory. Don't worry, doesn't actually cause radiation.
  • Almighty: Non-elemental magic that always works, but is more draining.
  • Recovery: Healing magic.
  • Support: Buffing and debuffing magic - magic that improves the abilities of you or your allies, or weakens those of your enemies.

Mudo and Hama will not work on bosses for obvious reasons, however they will always work on enemies weak to the respective element. Certain enemies will completely no-sell attacks of certain elements, absorb them, or reflect them back at you.
Personas in the Persona series are classified by their Arcana - each Persona falls under one of the 22 Major Arcana. Pick the Arcana that most matches your character's personality - but don't be afraid to branch out from what the Arcana says. You cannot change Arcana later, and no two accepted PCs may have the same Arcana.

  • Fool (0/XXII): Portrayed as a jester laughing very close to a cliff, accompanied with a dog at his heels. The Fool represents innocence, divine inspiration, madness, freedom, spontaneity, inexperience, chaos, and creativity. This Arcana is originally the only one that doesn't have a number, thus it is considered as the Arcana number 0 or number 22. Mythological figures of the Fool Arcana are often heroes, fools, or the protagonists of their own mythological stories. This Arcana is reserved by the OP.
  • Magician (I): Portrayed as a man with an infinity symbol above his head with a ball of fire in his hands. In tarot readings, the Magician Arcana is commonly associated with action, initiative, self-confidence, manipulation and power (more specifically, the power to harness one's talents). As the name suggests, mythological figures associated with the Magician Arcana are often associated with magic themselves, though some are deities rather than magicians. Characters of the Magician Arcana are usually male and tend to be clownish in personality, with a heart of gold, but very much a teenager.
  • Priestess (II): Originally named the Popess, portrayed as an old woman with an open book, the Priestess Arcana is a symbol of hidden knowledge or other untapped power, wisdom, female mystery and patience when it appears in tarot readings. Mythological figures of the Priestess Arcana are usually crone archetypes, goddesses of wisdom, witches, female mages, or priestess figures themselves. Characters associated with the Priestess Arcana are usually quiet, reserved, and intelligent, and usually modest or shy as well.
  • Empress (III): Portrayed as a woman on a throne wearing a crown of stars. In tarot readings, the Empress represents mothers, prosperity, creativity, sexuality, abundance, fertility and comfort (most often in helping maintain peace around them like an ideal mother would.) Personas of the Empress arcana tend to be historically important or powerful female figures; many are queens or goddesses. Characters of the Empress Arcana are universally female and tend to have some authority or are motherly. They tend to be elegant and somewhat cold, but still have a strong degree of care and concern for others.
  • Emperor (IV): The emperor sits on a massive golden throne, scepter in one hand, globe in the other. In tarot readings, the Emperor symbolizes the desire to control one's surroundings, and its appearance could suggest that one is trying too hard to achieve this, possibly causing trouble for others; some elements in life are just not controllable. Personas of the Emperor Arcana are almost always kings, emperors, generals, or other powerful male figures (Including gods, almost always 'supreme' deities of their respective pantheons.) Characters of the Emperor Arcana are universally male, typically the type who takes charge of things, and troubled by something very personal they don't know how to deal with.
  • Hierophant (V): Portrayed as a pope, a bishop, or just a pope's hat. The Hierophant is a symbol of education, authority, conservatism, obedience to rules and relationship with the divine. The definition of a "hierophant" is a person who interprets sacred mysteries or esoteric principles, and the term was originally used to name ancient Greek priests who did so. This Arcana's original name, however, is the Pope, the male counterpart of the Popess. Hierophant Personas tend to be the male equivalent of Priestess Personas - priests, gods of wisdom, sorcerors, and the like. Characters of the Hierophant Arcana tend to be wise and logical, and often have an obsession with the past.
  • Lovers (VI): In tarot readings, the Lovers Arcana initially represented two paths life could lead to, and thus a symbol of standing at a crossroad and needing to make a decision. Today, however, it is portrayed more of a symbol of love and romantic relationships, although it can also be a symbol of finding agreement with an ordinary friend or even two conflicting elements within. Personas of the Lovers Arcana are usually fairies (or something similar) or important wives of another important historical figure. Characters of the Lovers Arcana tend to be cheerful and popular, or at least spirited.
  • Chariot (VII): Portrayed as a king leading a chariot made up of two differently colored horses (in some cases mythical creatures). The Chariot Arcana is a symbol of victory, conquest, self-assertion, self-confidence, control, war and command. Personas of the Chariot Arcana are almost always warriors or war gods of some sort. Characters who are of the Chariot Arcana are typically very driven individuals, who have a personal goal that they aim to achieve at any cost. It is not uncommon for Chariot characters to be short-tempered or aggressive.
  • Justice (VII): Portrayed as a woman holding a sword and scales. The Justice Arcana symbolizes a strict allegory of justice, objectivity, rationality and analysis. Personas are usually various orders of angels, and are otherwise deities of justice, order, or vengeance. Commonly, characters of the Justice Arcana are concerned with matters of fairness, and otherwise are very stoic individuals.
  • Hermit (IX): Portrayed as an old man in a dark place or cave, holding up a lantern, the Hermit is associated with wisdom, introspection, solitude, retreat and philosophical searches. Mythological figures associated with the Hermit Arcana are usually hermits themselves, or are otherwise figures or deities that exist and operate behind the scenes. Similarly, Hermit Arcana characters share the commonality of placing themselves in situations that hide them from the public eye. Hermit individuals hide away from others or act in more supportive roles rather than putting themselves in the spotlight. If someone is shut-in or NEET they are almost guaranteed to be of the Hermit Arcana.
  • Wheel of Fortune (X): The Fortune Arcana is portrayed by the Wheel of Fortune and symbolizes fate, luck, fortune and opportunity. Personas of this Arcana are depicted as mythological figures or deities that control fate / omens. Characters of the Fortune Arcana are usually individuals who attempt to seize their own destiny in spite of fate and are typically involved with making important choices and decisions in response to what life throws at them.
  • Strength (XI): Portrayed as a young woman holding up a terrifying beast (more often a lion), the Strength Arcana symbolizes an imagery beyond the Beast And Beauty, and is associated with the morality about the stronger power of self-control, gentleness, courage and virtue over brute force. In tarot readings, it can also represent creative or physical energy that needs to be or is about to be unleashed, sometimes out of desire to be recognized. Personas of the Strength Arcana are warrior figures and heroes, or are figures that embody strength of body or character. A commonality between characters of the Strength Arcana is their strength of heart. Strength characters are not upset easily and typically portray the fortitude that the Strength card represents in readings.
  • Hanged Man (XII): Portrayed as a man hanging upside-down from one leg with his other leg crossing it, forming a "4"; the Hanged Man Arcana is associated with self-sacrifice for the sake of enlightenment, the bindings that makes one free, paradoxes and hanging between heaven and earth. Hanged Man Personas are typically mythological figures that exist between two different forces, or find themselves in transition. They are also sometimes martyr figures. Hanged Man characters are sometimes self-sacrificial, but are more often notable for being caught between two different extremes, parties or stages in life.
  • Death (XIII): While it is associated with foreboding and of doom, Death Arcana also symbolizes the metamorphosis and deep change, regeneration and cycles. Mythological figures of the Death Arcana are usually figures related to death, or are notable in their myths for their own deaths. Characters of the Death Arcana are associated directly with death, but a commonality that connects all Death Arcana characters is the cycles of change they experience.
  • Temperance (XIV): Portrayed as a woman with angel wings mixing up the water of two cups, one blue, the other red, the Temperance Arcana is a symbol of synthesis, prudence, harmony, and the merging of opposites. Characters of the Temperance Arcana are often struggling to find a balance in their lives and in their hobbies.
  • Devil (XV): Portrayed as a hermaphrodite devil over two naked and chained figures, the negative aspect of the Devil Arcana represents the urge to do selfish, impulsive, violent things, and being a slave to ones' own impulse and feelings. Occasionally, it is also portrayed as a symbol of temptation. The positive aspect, however, represents a healthy bond or commitment. Fittingly, the Devil Arcana is typically represented by the devils and evil deities of mythology. Human characters associated with the Devil Arcana are often "devilish" individuals; they can be greedy, proud, lustful, or otherwise of poor character. It is not uncommon for this type of character to have somewhat of an antisocial tendency, often not caring much for the needs or well-being of others.
  • Tower (XVI): Portrayed as a tower stricken by lightning, from which two small figures fall down; a straight Tower of Babel allegory about pride preceding the fall. The Tower Arcana is commonly associated to overly arrogant, prejudiced and authoritarian organization, which walk to their own ironic demise. Furthermore, it is also more generically used as an omen of doom and disaster. It can be seen as the worst card of the deck, as it rarely has a positive meaning. Tower Arcana Personas are usually mythological figures that were once heroic or well-loved, but have since fallen from grace. Alternatively, the Personas represent deities associated with destruction, righteous or otherwise. Human characters of the Tower Arcana can be arrogant, and typically find themselves in bad situations where they themselves have fallen from grace.
  • Star (XVII): The Star Arcana is also commonly associated with hope, self-confidence, faith, altruism, luck, generosity, peace and joy. Personas of the Star Arcana are sometimes astrological figures, but many Star Personas are simply multi-talented figures, or deities with many different spheres of influence. Characters of the Star Arcana embody their arcana's traits of hopefulness and joy.
  • Moon (XVIII): Portrayed as two dogs howling at the Moon around a pool with a lobster in it, with two towers in the background, the Moon Arcana is associated with creativity, inspiration, dreams, madness, illusions, fear, fantasy, the subconscious, and trickery. Personas of the Moon Arcana are usually mythological figures directly associated with the moon, are psychically-attuned figures, or evil figures whose story involves treachery. Characters who are of the Moon Arcana are often similarly psychically-attuned, but a more common trend is their projection of their own fears and faults onto others. They often tend to have trouble accepting themselves for who they are and, because of that fear, try to correspond to an ideal person.
  • Sun (XIX): Portrayed as two children holding hands under a blazing sun, The Sun symbolizes happiness, joy, energy, optimism, and accomplishment. Occasionally, it is also associated with one's initial happiness. Personas of this Arcana are typically mythological figures directly related to the sun, light, or fire. Characters of the Sun Arcana almost always (ironically) find themselves in terrible situations, the situation betrays the underlying optimism present in nearly all of them. Also, as the Sun Arcana portrays accomplishment, some of these characters have deep thoughts about the meaning of life and manage to find their answers.
  • Judgement (XX): The Judgement Arcana, in tarot, is associated with realizing one's calling, gaining a deep understanding of life, and a feeling of acceptance and absolution. Personas of the Judgment Arcana are usually related to Judgment Day myths, or are gods tied directly to the judgment of humankind. You cannot make a character of the Judgement Arcana.
  • The World (XXI): It often appears as the final triumph arcana, creating miracles and aiding the protagonists. Portrayed as a young woman (or an androgyne, depending on deck) surrounded by figures of an angel, a bull, an eagle, and a lion (representations of the four elements in transcendent form, as well as the symbols of the four Evangelists Luke, Matthew, John, and Mark respectively), The World Arcana is a representation of the world's totality, the symbol of fulfillment, wholeness, and harmony. You cannot make a character of The World Arcana.
Your Persona is allowed to start with 5 points worth of skills, and a maximum of 10 skills. THE MAXIMUM WILL NOT CHANGE. Personas can only use Attack magic from one of the six main elements (Fire, Ice, Elec, Wind, Psychokinetic, Nuclear). Almighty, Recovery, and Support can be used by any Persona. Light or Dark can be used by Personas not of the Almighty element - Almighty elemental Personas can use Light, Dark, and Almighty but none of the main elements. I would suggest 2 Physical and 1 Magical skill or 2 Magical and 1 Physical skill to start out. You CANNOT start with any Tier II skills, they are only there so I don't have to write them down later. More skills will be added as we progress.

6. SAMPLE APP Image
APPLICATION:
Name: Roxana Maria Hernandez Almenara
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Appearance: Tan, although a bit lighter than average for a Mestizo. In good shape physically, but definitely closer to being overweight than under. Curvy. Shoulder-length black hair is slightly wavy and dyed red at the front. Green eyes. D cups, filled with justice. Akin to this but not as reedy. 160 cm and 55.8 kg. When not in the school uniform tends to wear knee-high boots, shorts, and a variety of T-shirts and futbol kit shirts, mostly CD Guadalajara or the national Mexican team.
Ethnicity: Mostly Mestizo, one-quarter White Brazilian on father's side.
Nationality: Mexican

Personality: Cinnamon roll too good for this world, too pure. Somewhat idealistic and (usually) willing to be diplomatic with people. Energetic, and filled with an almost infectious optimism. When push comes to push however, she is not afraid to be pragmatic.
Likes: Open spaces, warm weather, the mountains, old cars, warm food, real Mexican food, meat, football (as opposed to handspheroid), tequila
Dislikes: Cramped spaces (mildly claustrophobic), communists, rap
Fears: Being mugged, being trampled, small spiders (curiously not tarantulas)
Hobbies: Guitar playing, tinkering, geocaching
Skills: Good with machines, especially cars. Decent at judo. Can play the entire soundtrack of Ace Combat Zero on guitar. Rather intelligent. Good with animals, namely cattle and horses.
Weaknesses: Just because she's decent at judo doesn't mean she's in peak physical condition. Not as good at English as she thinks she is.
Bio: Roxana was born in Guadalajara, capital and largest city of the province of Jalisco in west-central Mexico. Her father, Roberto, is the owner of a large cattle ranch that started up a resort out of a former side facility in the that proved greatly successful, and her mother, Maria Elena, was his secretary. While they were already well-off, the success of the mountain resort catapulted them into upper-class society of Guadalajara specifically and Mexico in general.

This success attracted the eye of Elysium Hotels LLC, a global chain of luxury hotels and resorts who were looking to start up a combined casino-hotel in Las Vegas. They offered him the position of general manager for a new facility opening up on the Strip, with all travel, immigration, and (for Roxana) education expenses paid for by the company, along with a sizable increase of funding. Naturally he accepted, and here she is, near the end of April and the American school year at Montana del Rey High School.
Weapon: Bamboo softball bat
Gun: Airsoft M1911 pistol - she intends to get a real gun, but plans on waiting for her citizenship confirmation to finish.

Persona Name: Pancho Villa
Persona Appearance: Pancho Villa takes the form of a large man in a grey-green charro (Mexican horseman) uniform in large sturdy boots, armed with a saber sheathed on his left hip and a .44-40 Bisley Colt on his right, with a Mauser featuring the Mexican flag wrapped around its butt on his back, which he draws out and fires for Pierce and attack-based Magic skills - for non-attack Magic skills he raises his saber, and for non-Pierce Physical attacks he swings it. A bandolier for the Mauser wraps over his shoulder and another for the Colt serves as a belt of sorts. He has no face - instead between his collar and sombrero is a jawless skull wreathed in green fire. Two massive horns protrude from the sides of the skull and upwards, like those of an Iberian ibex. His hands, too, are skeletal and appear too long to be normal human hands, with animal-like talons for fingers. His arms and legs are not attached to his body, instead connected by thick bands of green fire. The boots are torn at the front and back, exposing talon-like feet as well.
Persona Arcana: Fool (0/XXII)
Persona Element Affinity: Wind
Persona Elemental Weakness: Elec
Persona Skills:
  • Garu
  • Single Shot
  • Sukujaka

Theme song: (Optional)
RP Sample: (NOT optional)

8. FAQ AND TERMINOLOGY Image

"What should I use for a Persona?"

Personas are based off of historical figures, mythological figures, urban legends and cryptids, legends, and literary figures, with a notable slant towards mythological figures and legendary monsters. As for what they look like? Well, they range from the kinda weird, to the very weird. For the most part, Personas tend to be more human-looking than Stands, though they run the full gambit. Some examples include Athena from Persona 3, Apollo from Persona 2, Haraedo-no-Okami from Persona 4 Golden, Captain Kidd and Arsene from Persona 5 for the humanoid-looking ones, and Decarabia, Suzaku, Ara Mitama, Moloch, and Yurlungur for non-humanoid. You don't have to use preexisting designs of Persona/Shin Megami Tensei demons for your Personas if you don't want to.

APPLICATION:
Name: Leila Pierard
Age: 17
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Appearance: Link

Personality: Leila is often considered exceptionally mature for her age. Though intelligent and strong-willed, she does have some rough edges and can sometimes come across as very curt and unkind, despite her constant efforts to be polite and kind to strangers and classmates. One of the reasons behind this is Leila's inherent distrust towards other people. Even though she keeps those feelings to herself, they make it harder for her to connect with people. While she acknowledges this imperfection, Leila has trouble ignoring this seemingly pre-programmed response and has ended up with some degree of hate towards herself, causing her to develop a low self esteem. Despite all of it, Leila has always managed to keep up a decent facade and comes across as a warm and friendly person who, though somewhat secretive about herself, has an invested interest in her personal relationships. This outward persona (lel) isn't entirely fake, as she has always cherished her few close friendships more than her own happiness.

Likes: Leila likes most things that cater to her inquisitive urges and analytical abilities. She yearns to moments when she can relax and let all her worries and pressure wash away, even if only for a short while.
Dislikes: Generic girly stuff like spending an entire day shopping aren't high on Leila's list. Stressfull situations and large crowds aren't either. Also, she strongly dislikes herself.
Fears: Being all alone and abandoned.
Hobbies: Sketching/painting and, more recently, photography.
Skills: Leila is an analytic person and is exceptional at gathering and analyzing information. As she lives by herself, Leila can do most household chores and cook a decent meal. She can probably do your taxes, too.
Weaknesses: Overexertion. Keeping up appearances, living as a self-sufficient adult and studying hard can be too taxing for a 17-year old girl. Leila has had to make several trips to the hospital, each time after passing out. As outlined in the "Personality" section, she also has a critical mental weakness.
Bio: With her mother dying during childbirth, Leila never really had a real mother figure in her life. Her father, being a fairly successful businessman, struggled to raise his daughter as a single parent. He was often out on some kind of business trip, forcing Leila to become self-reliant faster than most children. Though she never lacked money, Leila found herself lacking parental love. While she eventually grew accustomed to its absence, Leila could never shake the implicit pressure her father placed on her to study hard and perform well, finding herself burdened underneath a curse passed down through her family, as her father too found himself in an incredibly stressful work environment.

In school, Leila performed exceptionally in her classes though was somewhat lacking in sports. This prompted her to go fitness and eventually led to her first trip to the hospital. Now she no longer makes great effort to excel in sports, settling for an average performance. On a social level, Leila forged a few frail bonds with other girls and even got ample male attention, which wasn't as much attributed to her mature disposition but rather her pretty face and "exotic" European roots. She was the "pretty French girl with the amazing ass" to most guys. Dealing with that probably contributed to some of her rougher edges.

At the age of 17, Leila has settled into her role as the student council president. Most of her classmates like her, though find themselves struggling at times to connect with her. This being a feeling Leila shares and recognises, it prompted her to make efforts to get more involved in pop culture. It has somewhat improved things, though she still eats alone during lunch break - out of her own volition though, as she takes the time to relax and recharge her batteries, as they say.
Weapon: None, she's a bloody 17-year old girl.
Gun: See above.

Persona Name: Andraste
Persona Appearance: Link
Being a representation of Leila's deep personality, Andraste is a dragon-like creature with a small body and many angelic wings of massive proportions, representing how little Leila thinks of herself but the great potential that lies deep within her heart.
Persona Arcana: Empress
Persona Element Affinity: Fire
Persona Elemental Weakness: Psychokinesis
Persona Skills:
  • Agi
  • Rakujaka
  • Media

Theme song: (Optional)
RP Sample: lel.

APPLICATION:
Name: Matthew Kenji Lee
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Appearance: Short and dark nearly black brown hair, amber eyes and pale white skin. He weighs 123.5 pounds and is 5'5 feet. He is wearing black shorts and a shirt with grey at the bottom, olive green in the middle and white-grey at the top, with a gray 'pocket' at the top. Also black crocs 8)
Ethnicity: Japanese and Celtic [Scottish, more specifically]
Nationality: Canadian

Personality: Matthew is kind, respectful, quiet, a bit shy, perverted, silly and usually upbeat. I'm not good with personalities because I find it easier to go with the flow in the IC and continue with whatever I come up with there rather than being restricted to what I write on an app. Potentially subject to change.
Likes: Gaming, sushi, anime/manga, sweets, art [Typically pen and ink], girls [Usually quiet is better, but anything goes, most of the time] and geography.
Dislikes: Guns, violent, excessively loud or rude people, sports, The Donald [Though dislikes people who mindlessly complain about him or hate everything about him just because of the way he is], having nothing to do, weeb-haters and tomatoes.
Fears: Needles, high heights, Apoidea and stage fright.
Hobbies: Gaming, drawing, surfing the web, reading, watching Anime, listening to music and hanging out with friends.
Skills: Intelligent. Probably the best video gamer in the entire school, and maybe the best artist, or at least one of the best, depending on whoever you ask, pen and ink isn't appreciated much anymore. Another skill is his vast knowledge of geography. Matthew also is good at sneaking around, a skill that has vast amount of uses, especially someone of this kid's nature :p
Weaknesses: He is afraid of heights, which could prove a problem. Matthew also can't fight, well not literally, but you know what I mean, and though not underweight or obese, isn't very athletic, all I'll say is that he has no muscles. Sometimes it can be hard to get along with him, and for him to get along with others.
Bio: Matthew was born in the Royal Jubilee Hospital of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, a province of the glorious nation of Canada. His mother is a Gosei Japanese-Canadian nurse named Onaga Usagi and his father is the CEO of a small-medium sized indie game developer [Big Melons Entertainment], Marcus Qrow, and had a reputation for his 'less than dignified' games, leading to a sense of perversion, curiosity and mischievousness in his son's [Matthew] life especially during his teenage and pre-teen ages. So, pretty much growing up he wasn't exactly rich, but upper-middle class you could say.

Matthew got into video gaming because of this, and his other hobby, art, due to the way the characters were in his father's games, though opted to go for a more simplistic pen and ink design, though many of his art still contains content NSFW, or school. He picked up geography due to general interest and nothing more than that, he has even practiced this hand in hand with art itself. Recently Marcus's company was forced to disband after too many attempts at realistic boob physics and highly expensive animation in contrast to most of his other work which was exclusively hand-drawn, or only had animations at 'specific' moments, plus stupid censorship of half the content of his recent work on certain major consoles led to him earning less money. A few months later everyone left for Vegas, it was Marcus's idea, and neither Matthew or Onaga liked it..but it happened. This way due to Marcus getting a position working at a Las Vegas-based gaming company that focused on adult casino and arcade games. Matthew has been accepted into Montana del Rey High School, and today is actually his first day at the school, as a new student, and today'll certainly be a special day.

Weapon: Currently no.

You can actually buy any shotgun and (non-automatic) long gun that complies to state regulations in most US states by 18. Handguns and automatics require you to be 21 at minimum, though you can technically own them before 21 via inheritance, and Nevada is one of several states that does not require a license to openly carry, not even in Clark County, where Las Vegas is - you just have to be 18.

Sure. Japanada has claimed Magician, so he'll probably get it unless his app is particularly bad or yours is particularly good, in the latter case the choice of who gets Magician will be solved in the T H U N D E R D O M E

Actually. I'll still have the magician [For now], but I'm wondering but Arcana my character should have if their Persona would be a creature such as the Ogopogo, though I'll probably end up having a completely different Persona [None come to mind for the Magician Arcana though], that was just the only thing I could think of.

      Done, more or less.

      APPLICATION:
      Name: Edgar MacAteer
      Age: 18
      Gender: Male
      Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Appearance: 5'5", fairly athletic and strong. Fairly light skin with reddish brown curly hair, cut fairly short. Facial hair is an even darker reddish brown along the chin, and upper lip, in a goatee sort of style. He has freckles around his face, pretty much just all over, and over much of his body. Greyish blue eyes. Series of tattoos as well, in geometric styles on both upper arms and shoulders
      Ethnicity: Norse-Irish
      Nationality: American

Personality: Pretty raucous and aggressive of a person, who tends to hang around fairly bad crowds but rarely gets into trouble. He's moderately smart but a poor study and easily frustrated. A person who keeps their emotions on their sleeve, Edgar is easy to read and expressive. He's genuinely a very happy person, almost too much so, and is rarely seen without a smile. He's fairly greedy though, and often just takes what he wants.
Likes: doing things, activity, video games, history(especially wars), learning, tattoos, and various sports, committing minor crimes that he'd probably never get caught for.
Dislikes: boredom, school, being forced to do anything, bigotry
Fears: Spiders, losing control, isolation, claustrophobia
Hobbies: Archery, video games, reading, baseball, poker.
Skills: Archery, lockpicking, knives, baseball, pretty good in a scrap too.
Weaknesses: he's claustrophobic and arachnaphobic, and doesn't work well with a team. He's often a loner due his loud and raucousness pushing people away. His small size makes him not the most durable person, and is easily knocked over.
Bio: Edgar was originally born and raised in Chicago, but around the age of five his family moved out to the Las Vegas area for reasons he still doesn't quite get. Neither of his parents were gamblers, and neither had a job that would necessitate the move. Both just wanted to move to the area, he supposed. So they lived in one of the cheaper and further off suburbs of the city. Compared to their old home, it was actually a bit cheaper to live here.

Big towns were big towns of course, so Edgar adapted. He took up baseball, and through that ended up becoming friends with a bad crowd as he grew up. Never enough to join any gangs but he gains a reputation for running with them regardless. He took up another sport, archery, as he entered high school to use his time since he'd rather do anything but actually study. Anything to keep his life interesting. He continued dabbling in anything that caught his fancy but rarely anything enough to form proper skills in it, save for his main passions in sports.
      Weapon: Switchblade
      Gun: Recurve Bow

      Persona Name: Cernunnos
Persona Appearance: very humanoid, except with green and blue fur over large portions of his body. Tanned skin, with large antlers protruding out of either side of his head. Face and hands are always shrouded in shadow, with the former seeming to shift between the forms of various animals almost constantly. Legs are much the same, but are most often with cloven hooves and legs similar to a faun or satyr. Shifting celtic and geometric patterns form on his bare skin, which glow when he attacks or performs .
      Persona Arcana: Devil
      Persona Element Affinity: Pierce
      Persona Elemental Weakness: Fire
      Persona Skills:
      • Spread Shot
      • Sukujaka

Arcana is determined largely by personality.

Ogopogo is a water dragon/lake monster, so it'd probably have Bufu skills and be of the Ice element. As for which Arcana, well, decide that after you set up your personality.

Is there a male equivalent for the Priestess, or can I have my male character become one regardless? Personality wise I believe its the closest.

That would be Magician, yes. Or Hierophant, depending on who you ask.

Handguns and automatics require you to be 21 at minimum, though you can technically own them before 21 via inheritance, and Nevada is one of several states that does not require a license to openly carry, not even in Clark County, where Las Vegas is - you just have to be 18.

I've got no compelling reason to warrant her owning a firearm or weapon, though.

But hey, maybe I can think one up.

I'd like to reserve the Emperor arcana if possible. Not sure how soon I'll be able to app, though.

EDIT: Who am I kidding, I'm already working on it :P
