Hmm... fair point, but that double ore is super good.

Hah, I know. You don't have any industrial facilities yet though, do you? Surely getting off to a quick start in industry is better than slightly more efficient ore later. These things are scalar; early benefits by far outweigh later benefits.

So for me, it's get militarized and take in Middle East colonists, or use a modified version of the Code Noir and free the prisoners within a few years since my people won't be doing prison slaves.

They are only 2, but I managed to split them between me and G because I didn't want to handle the religious terrorists or wanted to use slaves basically.

it ok I drop out of the running

I know it sounds like I'm whining about losing something that can be replaced because of my poor negotiation skills and I'm sorry about that.

The problem is as a pairing, we have a hard-cap on how much ore we can really get in the short term. Our region only has one ore for the each of us.

I suppose that's true. For context though, the industrial output of that early factory will have you half-way to having access to another region's ore by the time you would get a normal industrial factory. You could also then change one of your long term investments to a different colony or to a Lunar ore source.

Edit: Plus Lunar ore means you don't have to go to the hassle of building and maintaining a Martian Highway. That alone will be a major IP-invested win.

If anyone's colonist has +1 HP, that is because they are veteran.

Since I introduced the veterancy mechanics after posting starting colonists, it may no be said specifically if a +1 HP unit is veteran.

But it is.

So what would Rifle, melee weapon, or explosives skill entail?

Hey, Hark, out of curiosity, are there going to be any new colonists on the market or events in year five? Just thinking about writing up my post for then.

Well, Grim mentioned including some of your people in his emergency meetings. So you probably know anything his faction would ICly know.

Something about this is inherently amusing to me. I'm just imagining the board meeting.

I am happy to conclude that 50% of those voted in the poll found the game's difficulty average.

Oh, yes,

I forgot that part.

They come with rovers and have storage skills that let them stack twice as much stuff in a warehouse.

I'll write a post about it when I can. This is something that I will fight to the death for.

Well the Indians are fine and good but I can't pass up a double increase to warehouse storage.
