Because allying with me is in their better intrest, and have been allies with the CSA since its founding. The CSA also kinda props Mexico up. Helps give them jobs and keep them updated.

And I agree with Chewion, these posts need ground rules. From now on, you need a minimum of two paragraphs in your posts, and you can't just straight up quote another post in the IC and reply to jt that way. If you want to address another nation ir react to something another nation did, you can write that nation a letter or you can have your leader make a speech, or something along those lines. I didn't expect so much stuff to happen and now it's almost impossible to know what is going on.

Also I thought this rule would be self-evident, but you are NOT allowed to post in the IC unless your application has been APPROVED by Apror (or me if Apror isn't here)

No, as for that didn't happen in the book. Plus that might have caused Mexican and Confederate support for the Colombians, and that's a lot of shit I'd rather not go over. Though I have the feeling I want to say yes because America kinda doesn't have much going for it right now outside its continental holdings. So maybe yeah. Ummmm, I'll think about it, but I'll probably say yes. Actually, I'll say yes outright if they're not a territory, but they're a ally or a US puppet.
