Southern Industry wouldn't be that great though, even in this alt. timeline. The South was always a agricultural society, with very limited industrial abilities. Even in the alt. timeline, in 1890, they wouldn't be terribly much different overall. Outside of CS licensed productions of foreign, either British or US, designs, they probably wouldn't be able to produce much arms at a high rate. I mean, small arms is fine, but Naval production would be exquisitely different.

I'm not saying our production is great, but it's better. We're in the process of being able to have good Industrial capabilities. Places like Augusta, Mobile, New Orleans, Nashville, and places like Tredgar Iron Works are big producers. For the Navy, or Port cities are okay, with New Orleans being very notable. Though, we would have got quite a lot of direction from GB.

That's not an if, it's an OP decree to allow for more Nations. Especially considering those particular areas had a great impact on the time period. WW1 in particular. GB still has relative Jurisdiction over those areas, but other players can play them, but need to keep in mind GB is boss.

Not to spoil anything, but with I have been told, privately, its unlikely any of the colonies are going to revolt against the crown any time soon.
