I made a character with the super power to increase her own abilities depending on the emotions of people around her once. :)
Kept a boy around who could produce massive quantities of "lust", because this increased her intelligence and made her a master tinkerer. ;)

Race App

Race name: Children of Fire

Race standard/average appearance: Armored beings with fiery bodies like this and this

Race Specific abilities:
Fire Manipulation: They have near absolute control over fire and it's properties. However, the amount they can generate is proportionate to their star. For instance, a Child of Fire with a red dwarf would be able to generate enough power to maybe wipe the life from an Earth sized planet. On the other hand, one with a Hypergiant for a star could likely wipe life from the entire universe, destroying most of it in the process.
Lord of Flame Form: Some of the race are capable of entering a sort of super form, allowing for increased physical capability far beyond that of a normal Child of Fire. However, this ability can drastically reduce the lifespan of those who use it, with just an hour of continuous use potentially being able to end it's users life.

Homeworld name: N/A

Lore:
The Children of Fire are a mysterious and enigmatic race, rarely interacting with those outside of their own kind. They are not created through conventional means of reproduction, instead coming to life with the forming of stars. The stars they are born to represent their life, they age with the star, draw their power from it, and when the star dies, they do as well. And while not every star gives way to a Child of Fire, almost every Child of Fire is born from a star. For this reason, they are very protective of their own stars, never venturing far unless they absolutely must. This is not to say however, they do not have their own personalities and identities. Each has it's own distinct set of traits, being unique like many other species. Some are conniving and treacherous, some are good natured and helpful, while others are merely lazy and apathetic. And, while they are born of stars, they rarely live on said stars, preferring to seek out a planet or nearby celestial body to seek refuge on, always close just in case the need arises to protect that which gives them life.

They came into existence with the first stars in the universe, as their "god", Nebulus, was born from the first nebula. An immensely powerful being, Nebulus sought to imbue the universe with his own influence, creating a race of beings whom he could call his children. Thus, he spread his energy throughout the nebulas of the cosmos, and the Children of Fire were born. Some were strong, others were relatively weak, but from the very start, they all had a basic understanding of the purpose of their existence. To protect the stars which gave them life.

However, as time went on, and billions of years passed, the folly of Nebulus' reckless creation of life quickly became apparent. When those born of smaller stars faced the day in which their celestial bodies died, they merely fizzled away, exiting the land of the living as their armor became uninhabited, merely collecting dust on what now would be a neutron star. However, giants of the species would meet a much crueler and catastrophic fate. After a supernova, the Children of Fire would not merely cease to be, but the resulting black hole would engulf them, taking over their being and replacing the fire which burned inside of them with darkness. These creatures would be known as the Dark Wanderers.

Without a star to protect, these beings would merely wander the universe, living without purpose of meaning. And, in that desperate hunt for something to live for, most would begin to find a cold satisfaction in the destruction of others. The black holes which would now serve as their power source gave them immense physical strength and durability, more so on average than some of the mightiest Children of Fire. This lifestyle would drive them insane eventually, leaving them as nothing more than screeching monsters, destroying everything they saw. While these creatures were dangerous, their lack of intelligence and organization made them a small threat, as they mostly unleashed their wrath on uninhabited solar systems and planets.

But one day, that changed. An intelligent Dark Wanderer of immensely powerful proportions came about, named the Abyss King. He led not only the Dark Wanderers, but an army nearly billions strong of grunts and warriors of his own creation. Even the mightiest Children of Fire could not scratch him, he and his Warriors of the Abyss merely annihilated all in their wake. Planets, stars, entire galaxies were all snuffed out in a matter of weeks. Eventually, the combined efforts of five Children of Fire born of mighty Hypergiant stars were able to curtail the destruction and mayhem. The Abyss King, and the supermassive black hole from which he was born, were snuffed out. All five Hypergiants died in the process, using their power to not only annihilate the Abyss King's black hole, but their own, so that they would not become that which they had made efforts to destroy.

For a time, the Children of Fire and the universe lived in peace. With all of the Dark Wanders dead, there was little to challenge the Children of Fire, and they were able to live in harmony and seclusion. However, as a new age dawns, and giants of the race have begun dying once more, the nature of their cyclical existence rears it's ugly head once more. Evidence of the return of Dark Wanderers has begun returning to the universe, as star systems and planets begin disappearing once more. And despite most being convinced that they are long dead, some of the Children of Fire understand the reality of the situation. The cycle repeats.

The only remaining Hypergiant, Yhorm, resides with his star, UY Scuti, his power rivaling even that of Nebulus. Because of this, there exists an extreme tension between the two, unknown to Yhorm, as Nebulus sees him as not only a threat, but a mistake. A mutation not meant to be, as no Child of Fire has ever been so powerful as to challenge Nebulus himself. And as Yhorm lives in seclusion, protecting his star, slowly waiting for the day he becomes one of the mindless creatures he had heard so much about, Nebulus sits and waits for an opportunity to destroy the mightiest of his children, too absorbed by narcissism and conceit to see how vital the Hypergiant is.

Usually not with weapon, but can shoot one if need be

Race: Human

Backstory: Born 2005 in Kaliningrad, in a rough neighborhood. His power manifested at age 13, when he was mugged by some Thugs. One of them waived around a gun and Prokhor, scared and feeling helpless, just wished, it would accidentally shoot one of the others and then just that happened. The thugs thought it was an accident or that the one handling the gun was just stupid, although he claimed it was the gun's fault. When the boy picked up the weapon, he realized it was hot. And he realized, it was not divine intervention, that had saved him, but his own will. Now, 2018 Supers were not yet common knowledge, but there were rumors and Prokhor knew, he had it. Would he be a Superhero or Supervillain? He decided to go the path of a vigilante, dressing all in black, stalking bad dudes and burning them from the shadow. He was a young fool and it was surprising enough, that he was not killed.

At the age of 16, he had picked up the interest of the local disorganized crime. Lucky for him, "the Witchdoctor" found him first, an ambitious Supervillain with considerable mental and mystical power, who though, he could turn the young Prokhor into his henchman, promising him the power to take revenge on whoever had picked on him. It went well for a time but the golden age of Superheros came and Prokhor noticed first, that their streak of luck was running out. He was no longer the small boy and Witchdoctor's promises and offers did not interest him any longer. He struck a deal with Mayor Claws, a low-powered but wealthy Superhero and sold out Witchdoctor in return for a good cover up concerning his involvement in the crimes as well as 25 million rubel. The deal was sealed, Mayor claws brought to justice a Villain far above the power level a Tank 3 Hero was supposed to catch and Prokhor was able to move to a better part of the city.

He wanted to learn more about his power but also about it's possible monetizations (the money would not last forever). He decided to pick up courses in law and the newly launched "Super Studies". It was mostly theory but he did not finish it anyway. After about a year he was approached by a group called "Psi College" who offered him practice oriented exploration of his abilities as well as a network of connections, whether he would use his powers for justice or for (legal) monetization. Prokhor joined them and they definitely unleashed his potential. One of the first thinks they did (with his consent) was to explore his fears. He had a very mild claustrophobia and a greater, much more existentialist fear. So they put him into virtual reality and used their telepaths to strengthen the experience (The fact, that Prokhor had already discovered latent Telepathy power under the Witchdoctor and willingly invited them in made it even more powerful). The student found himself unable to move in a block of ice. Then the world around him accelerated. War broke out, people died and the city felt to ruins. His senses widened to encompass the whole world and he saw more and more violence, death and destruction. Driven by madness the last survivors killed themselves and, covered under a blanked to an ash-clouded sky the planet fell into a long sleep, with Prokhor helplessly watching. Then, an alien species appeared, explored the planet and found nothing of interest, leaving again, registering earth as a barren world of no interest. In the simulation, Prokhor flipped out and in the real world, flashes of various manifestations almost destroyed the lab around him. If there had been power charts at the time, he had probably been off them. Like the Psi College's psychological evaluation had predicted, what scared him more then death was lack of importance and being unimportant, forgotten. And they used that knowledge to manipulate him, turn him loyal to their collective.

Prokhor continued his study, as psionic was not just a matter of the right gene but also of proficiency and learning. His greatest strength was telekinesis, and in the subject of raw force (a "crusher", as they called it, compared to the "choker", who specialized in pressure and the "puncher" who was all about maximizing impact) he was in fact the best of the college and soon started giving courses. More important to his development however was his telepathy, as it allowed him to enter the mind of his peers and live through simulations of their greatest fears and horrors, which allowed him to further explore his gift and develop the ability to create electric charges and - through simple application of induction - magnetic fields.
He was a senior member and ensured the loyalty of the students like his peers ensured his own. For them, the College was father and mother. No, it was more than that, Prokhor had never been that honest about his fears with his family by birth.

In the early 2050s, he realized, that the academic life could not teach him any more. Most of his peers had already started to sell their considerable talents to whomever could pay and many young and talented students waited to take his position as teacher of tele-, pyro- and fulgurkinesis. So Prokhor became a Wage Mage and the best payer in this time was the collective. And it was an interesting job, the Psion liked meeting new alien races but More importantly, he was glad to earn the Psi College a load of money. Only one thing remained, the robots made him uncomfortable. Therefor he was happy, when the Human/Collective Alliance offered him a position on a ship under human leadership. Moreover, the institution was sponsored by both earth and Collective government, meaning that the credits he received could be converted into either currency at guaranteed rates, allowing him to benefit from whatever way, the exchange rates would develop.

Then the war broke out and after a few initial skirmishes, during the first big battle, Prokhor was warped into the future 20 years. At first he liked the fact, that he had survived the war until he discovered the state of the galaxy and the interplanetary economy. All his savings - private and for the College - were worthless. Then he contacted Psi College itself and had to discover that they had degenerated into an unambitious mercenary band on the way of self-destruction. The world had become bad for business. As much as he liked only to have to care for himself, he knew, that it was easier to enjoy a good life in the comfort of a stable, wealthy society. So he decided to stay with the crew of the Theia, as they might just be the best shot at political stability he knew

Powers and Abilities:
  • Telepathy: He can read dominant surface thoughts and strong emotions. In and by itself, this is quite possible to block, even for a normal person, extraordinary minds and other telepath in particular can even try to fool it. However, shutting one's mind entirely away is almost impossible and only with very advanced technics it's possible to conceal one's presence from a Telepath. With the help of drugs or hypnosis, Prokhor can go deeper into someone's mind, likewise the matter of what is a surface thought can be influenced by a long and thorough interrogation.
  • Telekinesis: Prokhor can move matter with his mind. He is clearly not a puncher and can produce only rather small impulses, like a weak human's fist. His pressure is better, allowing him to maintain the strength of a cybernetically enhanced human arm focused on surfaces small enough to be manipulated by hand. His greatest strength however is pure force. When dropping al concern for impulse and fine manipulation, he can slowly life an object as heavy as a shuttle ship (if it's big enough to "grab" is telekinetically)
  • Pyrokinesis: Prokhor can mentally heat up stuff or incinerate flamable stuff. He can kind of manipulate natural flames. He has not yet reached the ability to produce ethereal flames.
  • Cryokinesis: In negation of heating something up, Prokhor can cool stuff. Suprisingly, this is easier to affect air and depending on the humidity of the air may cause frost on surfaces.
  • Fulgurkinesis: Prokor can create electrical charges. By creating a high potential between two surfaces, this may manifest itself as a lightning. Compared to other powers, this is especially strongly influenced by distance, therefore he can create great charges in his hands or ionize the very air around himself, but he can not short-circuit a robot several meters away without projecting an arc (which is very difficult to aim)
  • Magnetic Field Manipulation: As said, Prokor can create charges, in or around himself. He can also move them. Moving charges create magnetism. While on closer inspection this physical truth is not entirely sufficient to explain the strength of the magnetic fields, that he can produce it follows the same rule, that the magnetic fields are quite strong right next to him but loose strength quickly with distance. Also, in most cases, his telekinesis can influence objects - magnetic or not - stronger then his magnetism. Magnetic fields can still be useful however, for example to achieve high impulses or in regards to the fact, that a once established field needs only a little concentration to maintain and can influence a whole lot of magnetic objects without the need to concentrate on all of them simultaneously.

Natural abilities:
- Speaks Russian, German and some English
- Had basic knowledge of law as it was before the war (that's king of outdated now).
- Knows how to shoot a gun, but that's about all concerning military training he got.
- Having experiences a lot of person's horrors in simulations, dialed up to be more realistic then reality by peer telepaths, has left him quite unshakeable.

Weaknesses:
- Quite a narcissist.
- Age is slowly taking it's toll, even though he still looks quite fit for his age, he is definitely past his prime, physically.
- Needs concentration to use his super-powers. (depending on how close to his limits he needs to go)

Standard Equipment:
Suit with Leather Gloves, on Planets often combined with a Black Coat.

Classification: (Will be given to you by me)

Optional stuff

Theme song:
I don't quite know the meaning of that sone but I guess, he would get it

Random Facts about your character:

Tropes:

Looks good. Accepted as Psion 5, Elemental 7

Furious by her act, Alex's parents locked her up in their family penthouse. They made an ultimatum: unless she starts to become the good girl they want, they won't allow her to leave. This didn't deter Alex. Another trait of the Elkridge is stubbornness, and Alex is far more stubborn than her parents. She always found a way to annoy her parents by doing simple things. Snark comments and sarcastic talkback were enough to push her parents to starve her. While in the outside she showed herself as strong and uncaring, all the rebel acts she did was only to open her parents mind, and over time the emotional pressure got far more than what she could handle. After five months of lockdown, she was triggered. It was when her father had enough of her and slapped her across the room. Both side had reached their tipping point and the slap is the last thing Alex need to trigger her power. Her cries and tears start to dissipate, bluish liquid flows from her mouth and eyes. The room dropped in temperature for a few degrees, giving hints to her power of what was happening. They tried to calm her down and luckily after a few minutes and nine frozen foods she finally calmed down. The incident eased their relationship, and not soon after Alex was back in school with a little bit extra freedom.

The slap left a mark though, and for years it never heals, quite literally. Alex tongue was slightly wounded during the incident. It hurt, but she chose to ignore it. As the wound grows and the infection strikes, Alex started to notice her mistake. She was brought to the hospital and there it was decided that it would be best to amputate her tongue, leaving her mute but saving her life. Her parents signed to this hesitantly and her father blamed himself for it. Being muted brought some troubles when she was in college, like bullies. But bullies also make a nice target practice. She did it rarely, but whenever they went too far she would calm her friends down, taking their anguish and healing their psyche. She did so by seeping their depression and use it to power herself. She was so good after two years no-one dare to harass her.

She graduated with double major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Analytics. Not so long afterwards her parents left Haven proper to live in a space station, distancing themselves from the filth and chaos that grows bigger in Haven. Alex inherited their penthouse, getting a job as a research scientist in a medical corporation while also doing a side job of teaching and generally helping the poor children of Haven. She would console with them and help them with her power. She might not be a hero yet, but she sure try to help as much as she can.

Tracing themselves back to a very wealthy family from the Earth, the Elkridge are proud and selfish, seeing themselves as more than what they actually do. But like most things in the universe, there are exceptions to this rule. One of it is Alexandra.

She lived a very strict childhood. She couldn't play with kids her parents didn't approve of and oftentimes her parents would be angry just because she sat near a 'lesser' student. All of these strict rules made her questioning her parents, and it culminated in her high school years. She is still a straight A student that study hard night and day for her scores, but Alex would openly challenge her parents by hanging out with girls of different race (or species) and deliberately do things her parents wouldn't approve.

Powers and Abilities: Alexandra is able to absorb and store emotions from another individuals. The stored emotion can be channeled to affect other's emotions or physically manifest to be used by Alex. The physical manifestation is different from one feeling to another, but usually they appear as iridescent liquid flowing around her body. They each have different properties, and gives versatility to Alex's power. These properties are:
  • Wrath: Appears as bright scarlet liquid, wrath flows rapidly and burns anything in contact with it, including Alex's own body. Offensively, Alex uses it to hurt her enemies by sending a torrent of wrath, or by making a whip of it. When used for defense, it doesn't really blocks incoming attack, but the the person who committed the attack will also harmed the same way Alex, or anyone protected by it, is harmed. Alex shows a higher level of physical agility and increased regenerative capability when wrath is manifested
Depression: Appears as bluish glow of liquid, with a wisp of mist hangs around it. Absorbs the kinetic energy of anything that comes in contact with it, slowing it down and stopping it before it can reach it's target. Since heat is sort of innate vibration of the atoms, depression will also cool things up, although it only happens once the object is stopped and even afterwards it will take a very long time. Alternately, it can also release the stored energy, which Alex uses by turning it into sort of whip and send a boot or two towards her target. Whenever depression is manifested, Alex becomes a lot more stronger, and also a lot more calculated in her actions.
  • Fear: Arguably the strongest emotions in her arsenal, fear is different from others in the fact that Alex can't use it to create protective bubbles or armors. It also acts like a very thick liquid, almost tar like in nature. This allows Alex to use it for variety purposes, from constructing tentacles to slowing down escaping foes. But the most remarkable trait of fear, is its ability to actually cast fear on her enemies. Whenever it is around, people around Alex feels a lot more anxious than they usually are and when they are touched by it most would feel as if their worst nightmare appears in front of them. Other than that Alex movement on areas covered by fear is unimpeded by anything, almost as if she walks on a different plane of reality, and if it covers a wall Alex can walk straight through it. While physically nothing changes from Alex when fear starts flowing around her, but if one tries to read her mind they woul find it as very chaotic and in a state of disorder. Some might even grow paranoia or phobia after trying to pry into her mind. Luckily it also protects her from being mind controlled. While other glows in various manner, fear is coloured black instead, like vantablack-level black. Note that the mentioned emotions are only the one Alex commonly uses. As you might have guess, the emotions tranquility, joy, and bravery are merely the lack of the mentioned emotions and thus cannot be consumed by Alex.

Alex also has some sort of emotional radar. It's less of mind reading and more like feeling what other is feeling at the moment. It helps her to pick which person to be sapped for their emotions and also help her job as a behavioral neurologist.

Weaknesses: Whenever a certain emotions is stored in large amount of time and not used, it will 'fuse' with Alex's mind and affect her greatly. It varies from simple paranoia to temperament issues to PTSD and much more. Generally, the emotions build up within her starts to become dangerous if it roughly equal to the emotions of five different person and she has stored for longer than a month. Sometimes though, she can suffers from the psychological disorders followed by a superpower meltdown, usually when she absorbs too many feeling within a short amount of time. Outburst of certain emotions, even if it originates from herself, can slow triggers a sudden manifestation of emotions. She also lacks the ability of using most weapons (with exception to whip, as she often uses her power in such manner) and also very much human, saves for her power.

Alex is also a mute. She can communicate with sign language, but it might be a problem when she needs to say something important soon.

Standard Equipment: None that is worth mentioning. She doesn't live actually live a dangerous life and as such doesn't have the need to equip herself. This obviously might be problematic in the future as she is brought deeper to the world of heroes and villains. She owned a flying car though, which grants her the lower to travel quickly across the city.

Classification: (Will be given to you by me)

Optional stuff

Theme song: If you found something that you think will go well with her I will appreciate it.

Random Facts about your character: She can cooks British and Southeast Asian foods, owned master degree in neuroscience and behavioral analytics, and able to drive cars and motorcycles. Never been in a romantic relationship but show interest to both side.

Tropes: Not sure on this one. Will need help from the more experienced tropers.

I guess I'm done. If I did any mistake please tell me what it is.

Name/Alias: Alice

Gender: Female

Age: 3 (Age advanced to 20 biologically)

Appearance: Stands at 6 even, weighs 167 lbs, has Icy Blue eyes and honey blond hair. Her skin is on the paler side due to her suit, and her hair is usually kept in a ponytail. Her build is slim, yet built with noticeable muscle build up, mainly in the form of a visible 6 pack.
http://shabazik.deviantart.com/art/Kasp ... -580157812

Race: Synthetic Human. A late war advanced model built for special purpose mission, mainly black ops. Advanced muscle and neural structure allows her to react, fight, and think faster than Regular Humans, and most other synthetics.

Backstory:
Originally built designed as a combat operative meant for use during the Hyperian war, her DNA template was designed for high risk, often suicidal missions were “real” soldiers were too valuable to loose. Most of her original combat programming is still active, but the whole of her personality, or the one that would have come with the DNA template, were erased and remade by Sean.
She came in to the world like any other human: Screaming. Sean left her personality open ended and incomplete, essentially creating the first sentient “artificial intelligence” (though he has never told another sole the process in which he could do this) She had the mental state of a 5-year-old at first, meaning he had to go through roughly a year of development with her until she reached her status, one roughly equivalent to his. Another modification he did was to model her brain after his own, it being radically different in him, meaning she also contains an IQ pushing the upper 180s, while also making her (heavily) resistant to telepaths/pscions.
The two quickly became friends, rather than the “Father daughter” relationship he had expected. She has aided him in his mission to make the galaxy at least somewhat safer for the people and has started to develop impressive technical skills as well as combat skills. She had taken to training her companion in combat, seeing his lack of anything resembling fighting skills to be a problem.

Powers and Abilities:
High IQ – Subject has an intelligence quotient almost as high as her companion, pushing the upper 180s.
Enhanced Condition – Subject is enhanced to super human levels of agility, reaction time, and strength.
Altered neural structure – Due to being based off of Sean’s own brain, her is vastly different then a normal Human’s, making her far more resistant to mental attacks and infiltration.
Pilot from Hell – Subject has shown considerable skill in piloting all types of aircraft, be it small fighter craft to large capital ships.

Weaknesses:
High IQ – Subject has shown to have problems interacting with those who do not hold a similar level of intelligence.
Hot headed – Due to her enhanced condition, subject has shown rather high levels of arrogance and stubbornness.
Still Human – Despite her enhanced condition, High IQ, and combat proficiency, Subject is still human, and while more than capable of over powering even other Meta-humans, she is still limited in strength and speed.

Standard Equipment:

Rip. You're forcing Nathan's hand. But the stream was just that of a timer until the plant blows up.

I wouldn't recommend it. While they are the overarching villains, they're going to take a back seat for more than a few acts. That and Nathan winds up killing most of the people in the gang.

Interesting to see the engineers work with Sean.

Also tempted to Have Athena intercept the Theia, have some friendly chat, maybe share some cookie recipes.

If you mean that there are currently seven members of the 9, yes. 3 of them are named and the rest can be made up and killed at you guys discretion. Would be happy to have a few of them killed so Nathan can initiate phase two of his master plan.

Cool beans. I'll try to put up a character app soon. Although, first, I noticed that character types have numbers to them, which appear to be levels, methinks, but I'm not entirely sure. I'd like to know a little more info about this.

Awesome. As for the power ranking system, it's more or less just a system to rank how powerful the abilities the character possess. With 1 barely qualifying as a power, and 10 being able to shake planets.

Sooooo....

A kid genius who built a battleship, by him self, is rated a 3, when a star ship captain with a (still respectable, but outdated) education, is rated a 4.
