Uniform: Oh, when you called my dudes "civies in the gas", I was thinking of military. Sorry. Edited.

That was just Alice's military mind set.

THey aren't military, nor governmental, they do as they please. Also, the Mother of Invention, the nearly kilometer long battle ship, and Sean's personal ship, has appeared out of stealth with in close range of the Theia.

Yeah, I know. For scale, I would say, the Theia is more like 200m btw.
I don't think my crew will freak out about the ship, as there are probably quite a number of ships up there and you could not fight all of them. They do however include the Mother of Invention in the emergency medical call, so fold those proteins. *

Indo-pasif archipelago: That is indeed threateningly good in the subject. I had hoped, nobody would look that closely into my technobabble (of which I have virtually no idea).
I just did not want to make up new words, for what my Doctor would come up with.

*: Edit2: And since we have medically knowledgeable people are on board: Yes, guessing organic structures from it's mass spectrometry or whatever my shuttle "scanned" is not protein folding, I know that.

I know, and as I said I just pointing it out. But in her post there is a conversation between her chars that implies that she'll be using the antipsychotics as an 'antidote' or something along those lines. I don't mind much about identifying the substance with gas spectrometry and making an antidote from Beast's blood, but the thing with antipsychotics just bug the nerd inside me.

By the way, I think condensing the gas and do a electrophoresis with it can tell us more things for making an antidote rather than spectrometry, but it's not half bad.

I have some knowledge in biochemistry and molecular biology and I would love to help you guys if you need it :)

Agnosia in real life is caused by lesion in the brain, which prevents the brain from working out properly by disturbing the neural synapses in the affected region. While agnosia-causing gas and multiple agnosia itself stretched the science a bit, it can still work by assuming that the gas is actually toxin/virus/antibodies that targeted the intended neural pathways, resulting in multiple agnosia.

I don't think antipsychotics will have any effect, as they only alter the effects of neurotransmitters (mainly dopamine) and have almost no effect to neural pathways.

I'm sorry for getting nerdy about it, and again Atria need to clarify it as he is the one with the plot, but I just feel the need to pointing it out.

Antipsychotics indeed won't help. And yes, its closer to an airborne virus than actual brain damage. Yes this isn't how agnosia works normally, but the lady who made it has the power of Super Biology.

Plus, this is the best thing I could come up with after binge reading Wikipedia and a high school level knowledge of Biology. :p

Alex can liquify emotions. Extreme airborne virus with some nerve-racking effect (pun intended) is far from the least scientific fact in this RP :p

EDIT: I don't feel like to post three times in a row, so I'll just write it here.

@Kaledoria: That's why I suggest electrophoresis. By assuming the proteins are of the same weight, you can roughly identifies its structure. Well, it can only tell like 'that one is oval, and that one is slender, and that one is round', but with some future tech or maybe a quick glance at it's hydrophobicity, you can have a believable protein folding analysis.
(In real life you'll need to know the amino acid's hydrophobicity though, but again this won't be the least scientific stuff we have here)

True. I say let's not stress too much about the science of things. I don't wanna have to earn a PhD just to fudge physics a bit.

I did say that the Super gene does give the middle finger to all known rules of biology. It doesn't dilute with successive generations, it actually gets stronger.

Sorry for me being nerdy, but Gene doesn't actually get diluted.

technically (and I have a limited knowledge of genetics) one would say that the gene would get diluted unless its something present in everybody.

Now, cloning (and incest) would negate that, but the former is difficult, requiring a genius to perform and the latter is just wrong.

I just went with "Altered brain chemistry and neural structure" and didn't think to hard about it.

It actually depends on the nature of the gene.

A gene is, basically, a coding program for our cells to create specific enzymes/proteins.

Usually a 'dominant' gene, which produces enzyme, doesn't get 'diluted', meaning that the cells still produce the same enzyme, in more or less the same amount as the number of the gene itself doesn't really affect it, just like as long as you have a set of instructions, you can still build as much tables as you would if you have two instructions.

Sometimes of course, the combination effect of two genes, or two allelles of the same gene, can interact with each other in a way that 'dilute' the gene.

Of course, unless diluted here means each generation has less number of individual with the aforementioned genes when the gene is subjected to repeated testcross mating.

You know what just ignore me :p

It could also be because the people who made it are so far above the laws of physics that they basically have a waver that says "We can do whatever we want."

Well. A group of superpowered psychotic terrorists just put out a virus that mimics the effects of a symptom of brain damage known as Agnosia. Makes it so that the brain is unable to decipher faces and voices. Meaning that person you are talking to could be your ally or Nathan himself. And you can't tell.

It also causes paranoia!

I knew that. :D From where you ask?

"Remember, genes are NOT blueprints. This means you can't, for example, insert "the genes for an elephant's trunk" into a giraffe and get a giraffe with a trunk. There are no genes for trunks. What you can do with genes is chemistry, since DNA codes for chemicals. For instance, we can in theory splice the native plants' talent for nitrogen fixation into a terran plant."

I guess a better description for the super "gene" is less than its a piece of genetic code and more that it's a 5th dimensional piece of code that acts similarly to genetics because it's the closest thing to that the Higher could use.

It's also what allows for the breaking of reality.

SO, Atria, now that everyone's just inhaled the crazy red gas and allowed The 9 to escape, is everyone going to try to murderize each other like the Church Scene from Kingsmen?

Possibly. Some people are immune due to being machine/having an oxygen supply.

Maybe I can do something about Germayne's rear or something? Since James is in a suit and thus immune...

Name/Alias: Andromath Frostsage

Gender: M

Age: 35

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!): He appears to be draconid humanoid, with blue scales on his skin and a clearly draconic face. He always wears a white robe with a hood and mask hiding his draconic face, showing only his gloved hands to onlookers. Despite his appearance, he speaks as clearly as a human.

Race: Stromern

Backstory: Andromath was born as one of the most powerful Stromern in existence.

Powers and Abilities: As one of the more powerful members of the Stromern Race, he is capable of transforming into a dragon that humans so glorified in their myths, but he is a special one. Spouting icy bolts in his dragon form, in his humanoid form he wreaks devastating blows with the powerful telekinetic powers his psychic genes have bestowed unto him. He grabs nearby objects and throws them towards his enemies, and in the absence of throwable objects, he attacks with two adamantium spears that he controls with his whims. These spears are capable of slicing an unprotected human in half. In addition, he also wields the ability to summon dragon skulls that fire what seems to be straight laser projectiles towards his enemies from thin air.

Weaknesses: In his humanoid form, he is physically weak, relying on speed and damage to defeat his enemies. A few well placed hits will put him down, especially since he has no armor. In his dragon form, it all takes overwhelming force and numbers to take him down.

Standard Equipment: Two adamantium spears

Classification: (Will be given to you by me)

Optional stuff

Theme song: Bergentrückung/Asgore from Undertale

Random Facts about your character:

Tropes:
ABTH Music Education ~ AB Journalism ~ RPer ~ Keyboard Warrior ~ Futurist ~ INTJ

Economic Left/Right: -0.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.21
Supports: Christianity, economic development, democracy, common sense, vaccines, space colonization, and health programs
Against: Adding 100 genders, Gay marriage in a church, heresy, Nazism, abortion for no good reason, anti-vaxxers, SJW liberals, and indecency
This nation does reflect my real-life beliefs.
My vocabulary is stranger than a Tzeentchian sorceror. Bare with me.
