And something of a parody on a semi-serious turn that's hopefully not too contrived? Not sure if I can pull it off, but I wanted to branch out a bit more. So here's a start.
Edit: I really need to sleep. How did I spell chirurgeon wrong? Blah.
Name: OR10N. Designation per Operation ROMULUS, Phase One, Project Zero, Subject Knight.
Nickname: Orion Ingeniator. As much his name as an alias and acronym all the same. More widely known as the Logistician
through social media and public records. Some also call him the Machine.
Age: Nine years old by birth. Two hundred twelve on public record.
Birth Date: 17 March 25700.
Gender: Male.
Planet of Origin: Nova Terra.
Race/Species: Near-Solarian and human hybrid by blood and appearance, but laboratory-born.
Height: 212 cm.
Weight: 303 kg.
Physical Description/Image: WIP.
Social Class: Unofficially an asset of the Imperial Military Logisticae. Officially registered as a common-born bastard ennobled for feats of arms as a civil servant voluntarily turned a super-soldier. Somewhat wealthy, though not surpassing many pure-blooded nobles in assets or private investments.
Titles: The Lord Logistician. Also, Engineer-General of the Legio Ingenium and Surgeon-General of the Legio Chirurgiae.
Occupation: Chief of Staff of the Logisticae. Commanding Officer of the Legions of Imperial Engineers and Surgeons within the Logisticae – the many millions of occupational-specialty support personnel dedicated to combat support, strategic logistics and ancillary sustainment of the entire military. Responsible for all aspects in researching, designing, building, transporting and maintaining military materials, structures, systems and services in relation to the two units. Other duties include development of general technologies and construction of public infrastructure to support the previous aspects. Oversees the Sector Directors and provides them direction in terms of overall objectives and specific projects – particularly prototype warships and new superweapons.
Among other things…
Hobbies/Pastimes: Reading and researching about the universe. Inventing new technologies and techniques to use them, and redeveloping the old. Traveling the stars, observing the cosmos.
Talents/Skills: Genius manager, engineer and surgeon. Designed to the point of nearly peerless talent despite relatively little time spent in military service or senior positions compared to predecessors. Particularly due to imprinted memories, downloaded training and neural interface. Masterful combat, command and control skills due to the same. Can use direct connection through interface nodes to electronic devices, computer networks and artificial intelligences for searching information, performing calculations and data analysis on an immense scale with extreme accuracy – so-called trans-logic.
Religious Beliefs: Indoctrinated as a faithful if moderate follower of Terraism.
Personality: Logical. Rational. Reasonable. Decisive and deliberate in action. Determined in a methodical and measured approach to problems. Clever, cunning and calculating in interactions. Distant, detached. Reserved in conversation, but ever so observant. Scarcely seen to smile, seldom heard to sigh. Normally calm and composed in the bearing of his body, even when all goes wrong. Called cold as ice and stone, but also sharp and swift as a sword in mind. And incredibly self-disciplined.
Strangely so. Almost unnaturally.
As well, Orion is proud and upright, appearing resolute and confident. Not in the sense of self-importance or superiority, but in being stately and by an innate feeling of respect and certain satisfaction over his achievements as highly honorable and creditable to himself and the Empire. And from an internal concept of individual nobility, dignity and grace in bearing and behavior; of being better than oneself every day compared to the previous. Orion remains neither overly humble nor vain when reciting his honors. No, simply statements of fact. He is one who completes his duties without complaint and needs nothing outside what is necessary to perform his role. Or so it seems.
Thus ‘The Machine’ as many subordinates, peers and superiors have named him for his personality and ability to simply not stop – that mindset and endless energy that is the Lord Logistician.
But as seen in many things, not all is as it appears to be…

Name: Heinrekur Oendolfursson
Nickname: Heinre
Age: 326
Birth Date: 25383
Gender: Male
Planet of Origin: Tartis
Race/Species: Human
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 164 lbs
Physical Description or Image:Standing moderately tall, Heinrekur does much for his stature in regards to his peers. Having an interest in the more simple forms of clothing compared to some peers within the Empire, epaulettes are often displayed on his ‘uniform’, as he likes to call it, which is modeled after that of the Imperial Navy from some good time ago. Black hair, kept short, does more to highlight a rather large forehead than detract from it, something which Heinrekur does not really care much for.
Social Class: Nobility
Titles: President
Occupation:As President, Heinrekur Oendolfursson possesses sole command of the UNCAF along with directing the movement of the government overall in the enforcement of Coalition law. He acts as the prime ambassador to other nations, setting national and foreign policy. However, Heinrekur also has the power to move-forward bills into the UKNC Senate for direct, majority vote.
Hobbies/Pastimes: Chess, Reading, Marathons
Talents/Skills: Long-Distance Running, Chess, Managerial
Religious Beliefs: None
Personality:Heinrekur is, as one might say, a pragmatic person. Calculated, he weighs the arguments of most before making a decision, a fact which should, in his opinion, not have to be stated but must anyways. Believing his system of rule to be the best, he does not think violent expansionism against those who disagree is the answer; in his mind, if they will come-over to his sort of thinking, they will do so of their own accord. The man is nothing if not patient, though that is not to state that he is stupid.
Biography:Born on Tartis to a well-off noble family, Heinrekur had strong ties to the military even before his birth. His father was a military man, as was his father, and so on and so on as the old adage goes. His parents were both eager for their son to go on and do great things, or at the very least not embarrass himself, and so from an early age he was surrounded by the best tutors his parents could afford. In part, in all honesty, this was out of perceived responsibility by both of them to provide for their son. He would, at the age of eighteen, be sent to a naval academy. There Heinrekur would train as an officer, earning high marks compared to others there.
He would go-on to serve on multiple naval vessels, ranging from a petty cruiser to the ships of the line in the Imperial Navy, though not much glory was accumulated during his time there. Never quite the soldier, Heinrekur would divert his attention, some fifty years into his military career, into homeland politics. The spreading of careful rumor was something he took to early-on, along with political assassination and character destruction. Much of his family was killed during this period.
Following his sixtieth year as an officer, at which point he had risen to the rank of Captain aboard an Imperial Carrier, Heinrekur would go home, running for President and willing in a rigged landslide. His loud opponents would die quickly enough. His quieter ones would be allowed self-imposed exile. Since that point, he has lead the UKNC to autonomy and strength, both in arms and in economics.

Name of Territory:Udes’Kil National Coalition / UKNC
Government:Coalition of SAS
Capital World:Tartis
Population:132 Billion Total
Economy:The UKNC is a jack of all trades Coalition, owing this fact to it’s large swaths of territory within the Periphery Worlds and Halo Stars area. With segments of the Coalition being autonomous in terms of resources, planets within these segments are specialized to a good degree. Gas giants are mined judiciously, with little regard to the scale, factory worlds spew toxins into the atmosphere, and other joyous events occur. Manufacturing is of a lesser quality than that of more Imperial goods, though still can be considered acceptable.
Culture:
Overall the structure of the economy is a regulated market economy, with corporations paying taxes to the government in return for carte blanche rights to exploit planetary bodies, along with corporate aid given to colonial areas in return for government payouts to said corporations. Taxation can be considered to be on the lean side, with corporations within the UKNC exercising full power within the Coalition.
The UKNC exports Foodstuffs, Nuclear Material, Weapons Components, Large Hulls, and Colonial Goods to a large degree, though the vast amount of this trade is within the Coalition itself, to worlds on its own outer border who would not otherwise receive attention as they do now. Imports include more advanced technology in the Empire, along with more intense materials such as carbon nanotubes. The UKNC cultural identity is formed primarily from corporate privateers in the late days of the Great War, when profit was everything in the rebuilding of the area. Corporate crows, as some called them, had flocked to the region in an attempt to rebuild the destroyed planets; at least that was what they had told the government. The culture, now, is that of a simple moniker; better yourself and your family first, pay your taxes, and the rest will follow. Joy is through wealth and work is the key to joy. As such, the UKNC cultural identity is quite enterprising in some ways and very ruthless in others.
Social Structure:The social structure in the UKNC is quite simple; personnel are broken-down into the wealth sections of society.
Military and Security Forces:
Class A personnel are the rats in the factory cities, those whose poverty prevents them from getting a decent job and, as such, they create their own industry in the lowest levels of the urbane environment. Often criminals or runners, these individuals are looked down upon by nearly every segment of society for being nearly universally criminal. Marriage to one of these individuals is nearly a sure-fire way for being pronounced dead by one’s family and it is not uncommon for families to go out of their way in killing the betraying child and their Class A lover for daring to go against the social order. While they are capable of moving-up a level, it is often extremely hard and will still incur the wrath of others by the Class A’s daring. It is only through the tenacious effort that individual makes, which is the only way of getting out of their situation, that allows them to stay in a Class B position.
Prostitution and other interactions with Class A personnel are strictly looked down upon by any above them, though it is not unknown for brothels and the like to be taken advantage of by Class B personnel. The sex trade, while limited socially in terms of scale, is large enough to be a significant issue towards Class A personnel.
Class B personnel are the next level, the dockworkers and factory overseers who manage equipment and maintain those areas. While it is hard, dirty, and extremely straining work on the individual, they maintain a relative amount of comfort compared to their Class A compatriots. It should be noted that job security when one is at this level is considered to be non-existent. You have no familial ties and your only worth to the company is the work you provide. As such, competition between Class B personnel is fierce and advancement chaotic within the corporate world. Political seats taken by these individuals are lower-level and do offer some job security, though less than what would normally be considered.
Class C personnel include overmanagers and those who have authority over larger groups of individuals. Provided with some security, these are invariably attempting to climb the social ladder and gain more wealth and influence with those about them. Attempting to please one’s boss at this stage is common and competence between these groups vary. A contested point, Class C personnel are between the safer stages and the very, very dangerous stages of UKNC society. This group can encompass planetary leaders, in fact, with the common idea that the only way to move oneself ahead is to gain power.
Nobility, ostensibly named as such due to very historical reasons, are often born into wealth in contrast to most others. Raised to do what they do best, manipulate and lead their chosen people either in war or economy, these individuals are invariably well-versed. Whether or not they have actual talent is in the air, though nobility who don’t perform well are also not nobility for very long.Subdivided along Imperial lines the UKNC Armed Forces, or UNCAF, is the joint forces of the Coalition. With often surplus Imperial equipment and ships, the fleet is increasingly populated with more native designs from UKNC bureaus. With over a billion men under arms, along with multiple flotillas, it is nothing if not large.
The Army, formulated in the last half-century as a gendarmerie-cum-militia and reformed some decades after, operates on every Coalition world with vast recruitment drives. With heavy emphasis on armored warfare, along with overall mechanized ability, the Army communicates heavily with Naval forces for full supremacy on the battlefield. Operating under the assumption that Naval forces can deal with more heavily entrenched targets, the Army is far more likely to engage the more mobile enemy units.
The UKNC Navy operates massive dreadnoughts from most homeworld areas. These vessels, while horribly inefficient in most power generation, make-up for this fact by firepower with the capability to level planetary bodies, from nuclear warheads to mass drivers to some with laser-based cannons. It should be noted that these dreadnoughts are considered to be top-secret and under no jurisdiction than that of the UKNC. Carriers, smaller in stature by a great deal compared to those operated by other SAS, are often in a support role with the intent to screen battlefleets from enemy attack. Battlecruisers are used in limited numbers, though these are often equipped by Imperial hardware directly.
