Sophia Taylor

She kept her head down, meandering her way through the increasingly raucous crowd. Part of her wanted to cry after seeing that, being a victim of relatively recent bullying herself, and sought a restroom to hide in for a brief moment as she attempted to fight back the tears - perhaps seeking out a good, private place to let her emotions go. Sophia was unsuccessful in locating one, at least in the crowded hallways thus far, so she simply found a spot next to a few lockers and simply slid down the wall. She folded her hands, bowed her head slightly, and quietly, discreetly and inconspicuously, prayed alone by herself. After a few moments of relative solitude, Sophia re-opened her watery eyes and gazed back out into the busy hallways. She glanced down at her wrist, checking to see how much longer she had to get to class, and decided it was okay to just sit and wait for at least a few more minutes - perhaps to mentally collect herself. 'I should have stood up for him, that poor boy.' Sophia thought to herself as her eyes gazed off and stared at the floor.

April Chetwynd
"I think I zoned out when he got interrupted, so I barely remember what he even interrupted about. I guess that is fine" April said, clearly not really interested in remembering what the person interrupting was complaining about. They fell silent for a moment, walking along aimlessly. Though April had a goal, which was class, but Seth didn't know that. He did end up asking about classes, though, in the end, which she cheerfully responded to. "Actually, we all here in the boarding section go to the same class. Strange, I know, but that is how it is. We are headed there now, in fact" She said as her response.

"Oh, yes. Of course!" Karen said, making her way back over to Casey and extending out her outstretched hand even more so. Karen helps Casey to sit upright, and she brings her other arm to wrap around Casey's far shoulder to help support Casey as she attempts to stand up on her own power. "Okay, now let's take this nice and slow, alright?" Karen says. "Take your time, whenever you're ready. I will be standing right here next to you." Karen can see that Casey has some natural strength to her, likely toned from years-worth of athletic activities. Karen does not anticipate any complications to arise as Casey moves to stand up, but Karen is prepared to catch her or otherwise just be insurance for her.

Casey O'Doherty

"I'm ready, miss." Casey replied to Karen's question slash statement. "I guess since I managed to regain my strength very quickly.......

Although it took to getting used to, Casey just managed to get up from the table and stand up on the examination room floor with her own two feet (which was covered by her cheer white sports shoes) without any major medical problems, although her legs, toned and still sweaty from the routine and the heat of the examination room, still felt like fragile jelly and it had visible but small vibrations going through them as she got her balance right and sorted.

"So...... I should get going to class then?" Casey curiously asked Coach Karen, as she realised she had to go to class. "How long I was out for again? I forgot the time. Also, where is my school bag?"

Robert Kerstetter

As the busy corridors of Blake Holsey High still teemed with rapidly noisy and social teenagers, and it passed by Sophia as she prayed, thinking and trying to get a grasp of what was wrong in the entire place, if she could see the floor, she would find that her vision now has too farmer boots in it and if she looked, she would see a kid with a polo shirt and jeans looking down at her.

"Hey, something wrong there, Miss?" Rob asked in his Albertan accent, looking at Sophia with some concern, then started looking around the hallways at the cliques before turning to Sophia to speak again. "I assume it is about the kerfuffle that occured. Talk and jargon and all, but something bad, eh?"

Astier noticed Sophia sit down next to him, and noticed she seemed upset. "Are you ok?" he asked. He had a feeling that she, too, was shaken by the incident with Aaron. He was a little nervous about drawing attention to himself while wearing a skirt, but he figured he would be ok. He'd been nervous about his first time wearing a skirt in public before this happened, but now he was terrified, almost enough to consider changing. However, he did not have enough time to change his entire outfit before class, and he couldn't go wearing something less than perfect. This would have to do, and he'd just have to deal with any bullying he might face.

Sophia Taylor

Sitting in solitude, quietly sobbing, Sophia was in no mood to talk with anyone - not after all that had happened on her very first day of school. This was supposed to be an exciting time spent with like-minded intellectuals, a time to escape the prison of tyrannical bullying that had griped her throughout her previous high school experience, and finally an opportunity to be around adults who she had confidence in building her up as a person and to guide her toward a promising future. Thus far, it seemed that this school year at BHHS was going to be anything but that for Sophia, and she was already getting so nervous to the point of a mental and emotional breakdown. Upon being approached by Astier and Rob, Sophia unintentionally ignored Rob's first question - being that she didn't initially register his presence. However, in the midst of wiping a tear off of her face, Sophia looked up to hear someone with an Albertan accent talk about 'kerkuffle.' Just as she started to look up, it seemed another decided to approach rattled Sophia and pose her a question regarding her emotional well-being.

Sophia was still not in any mood to open up to anyone, thus the reason why she sought for a restroom to have her breakdown in private, though such a desirable place would not have been found prior to her being unable to contain things internally any longer. She was tempted to just shoo them away, whoever these people seemed to be, as she simply sought no reason to talk with strangers after everything that she had seen - in fact, part of her wanted to completely shut herself away from everyone at this school. Her adolescent mind was not quite contemplating the fact that there were indeed good people at this school, at least aside from Audrey it seemed - though even she still was a bit of a stranger to her after only knowing her for a couple of hours, Sophia dropped her head yet again, closed her eyes, and sighed heavily prior to looking back up again. Sophia's eyes were still watery, tears smearing the little makeup she had on to conceal her physical exhaustion in the form of baggy eyes from the journey to her new home in Seattle from Louisiana, and she forced a smile. Despite not wanting to talk, she thought it to be the better option so as to avoid making any more of a scene then she has unintentionally made.

"I... I'm.... I don't know."

Sophia closed her eyes, rested her head against the wall, and gulped deeply in her throat as she gazed outward to Astier and Robert. Sophia took another deep breath, shook her head, and then reached up to rub her dry-eyes.

"I'm sorry, it's just been a hard start of the year." Sophia paused, sighed, and continued after a second or two of accompanying silence. "I'll pull myself together."

Coach Karen Sweggler

"If you think you're up to it, you certainly can." Karen said, standing up and standing next to her - prepared to catch her in case she collapsed from either weakness or otherwise illness. "Though I can easily get you a signed statement that excuses you from all of the day's classes or extracurriculars. I doubt anyone will give you a hard time for missing anything, and if they do... let me know and I'll set 'em straight, honey." Karen says, flashing a friendly smile. She then turned and pointed to the wall. "Your school bag is on the wall, and you've only been out for..." Karen glanced down at watch "A few minutes really. In fact, the assembly has only just ended."

Robert Kerstetter

"Hard start, eh?" Rob politely asked Sophia as he looked down at her, who was leaning against the wall, had smeared light makeup from presumably human tears and had watery eyes from something. She looked really upset about something, and from the look on her face she had been quietly sobbing her eyes out for the last minute or fiver, presumably about something terrible, but Rob didn't have. She half heartedly smiled and shook her head as she responded, saying something about having a hear

"Something bad happened, I assume? Bunch of shiny keeners giving you a bad time? Jocks want to spread their hoser strength? Or one of the girl pops went and established dominance?" Rob shook his shoulders and scratched his head when he said the last part of that question. "Only know what a dominance is because of Degrassi, yet Zoe was pretty standard for a top girl from what I read online......"

Casey O'Doherty

Casey was visibly surprised at the fact that only a few minutes had passed from her crashing down onto the floor unconcious and her waking up in the locker room examination room all confused and panicky. "Really? A few minutes?" Casey innocently asked as she slowly walked to the wall and grabbed her school coloured cheer school bag that nearly all of the cheer squad had received when they made the team. "That short? I thought I was knocked out for two hours or more. It all felt a haze." Casey quietly admitted, basically confessing that she had lost the track of time from being knocked out and had no memory of what she thought during the time when she was passed out, her limbs limp and soft and fully unconcious.

As they began to file out, Ella seemed to kind of...follow Logan out, though once you could actually hear more, she would try to get his attention. She wanted to make some friend today, or at least start a possible friendship, and she figured the first person that she had so happened to sit next to would be a good start. She had actually meant to talk to him before the Assembly really kicked off, but got distracted instead, so she would talk to him now instead.

"Hey!" Ella shouted to get Logan's attention. When he presumably turned to look at her, she paused for a moment, realizing this might seem a little awkward. "Interesting Assembly, eh? Was certainly the strangest one since I've gone to this school" She said, immediately starting out into a topic, but quickly realized she should probably be polite and introduce herself.

"Oh, sorry, where are my manners? My name is Ella" Ella smiled at Logan, extending her hand out to his to shake. "I was, well, I was sitting next to you during the Assembly, so I figured I may as well talk to you, yeah?" She said, a look on her face that seemed to appear to be a look of desperation of sorts that she was saving the poor image she may have presented immediately, with just seeming to find some sort of reason to talk to him. Though she doubted that he really cared, but it may have come off weird nonetheless.

Logan Cavanaugh

Logan was walking around with Elijah and Jackson, two of his basketball buddies talking about their favourite teams when Ella, who was right behind him by a few paces in the crowded hallway suddenly shouted to get his attention, startling him a little bit and causing him to turn around and look at her with a bit of a perplexed and little confused face as he did so. He kept up that once she started to ramble onabout the 'interesting assembly' and how it was the strangest one yet, which also got a few looks from his buddies. Logan decided to send them off, and they seemed to agree just as well.

"I guess I talk to you later, guys?" Logan said to his two basketball buddies as they both said their goodbyes and left, leaving Ella and Logan staring right next to each other, and her desperately playing off the awkward topic starter by introducing herself and offering her hand outwards for a handshake and explaining why she was suddenly talking to him by saying she was sitting next to him at the assembly which went downhill way too fast for his liking. He found it confusing, but he shook her hand and returned the introduction.

"Logan, native of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Great White North." Logan introduced himself, shaking her hand while doing so. "You're a student who is bunking at the dorm rooms here?"

Once she answered, Logan asked another question.

"So, who is your roommate, Ella?" Logan asked. "I got a fellow Canuck for mine, and hes an Ontarian, so......"

Ella Birkett
"Sorry for interrupting" Ella had said to Logan apologetically when she had appeared to interrupt him getting to know his basketball teammates. At least, she was pretty sure he was new here, as she didn't remember seeing him, but remembering thousands of faces was hard. She also said that as a way to kind of dodge the extra awkwardness of confusing the others, too, not really giving off a great first impression. But thankfully it was somewhat defused by the fact that Logan took up her offer of a handshake, at least she hoped that helped defuse any sort of awkwardness. And then he responded.

"Ah, so you're from not too far away from here, aren't you? Nice. I need to make a trip to Canada again, now that I'm older. My parents took me there when I was young" She responded, managing to make that sort of a topic on its own. When he asked if she was a boarding student, she nodded her head. "Yup. Going into my 3rd year here" She smiled, seeming happy about that. "You get the usual high school drama and insanity, but as a whole it is a pretty good place. I wouldn't trade it for much of any other place" She continued, and then, answered the next question he asked, which was about her roommate. She smiled at Logan's luck to get a Canadian as a roommate, and then actually answered the question. "Emilia, it seems. It appears she is the leader of the cheerleaders, from what I saw at the Assembly show. We're going to be an interesting mix" She chuckled, though she didn't know enough about her roommate to fit stereotypes with her or anything like that, she just found it curious and expected them to be an odd mix as roommates.

Sophia Taylor

Sophia certainly didn't feel it necessary, or appropriate, to delve into such a discussion with a complete and total stranger - regardless of his intentions. Yet, she also felt it rude to ignore him or to shoo him away. Sophia paused, and carefully thought over her next choice of words before responding to Rob's inquiry. She hardly understood what Rob was saying with that last bit, though spoke up shortly after his words seemed to trail off.

"This... place. It just hasn't been what I had hoped for."

Sophia then looked down, sighed, reached up to rub her dry eyes once again, and then continued.

"Though I guess it's now my home...."

She says, looking onward once again toward the other side of the hallway. There was a remarkable young man who happened to catch her eye as she looked on, but she didn't think much of it as she simply looked back down and shook her head.

"Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?"

Sophia says, desperately seeking out any topic to help distract her from any sense of dreadful misery that occupies her mind, and picking up an accent that remains unknown to her.

Coach Karen Sweggler

Karen lets out a slight chuckle, watching onward and noticeably giving Casey a bit more distance as she demonstrates her ability to stand upright, and even walk again, following her fainting. Karen nodded her head in concurrence to Casey's point, as she has seen this sort of thing occur many times before in her life as both a coach as well as a former high school athlete herself.

"Thankfully not too long, and more importantly, thankfully it doesn't appear to be due to any outstanding medical problems. Alright, well I presume you know where you supposed to go next? Do you mind if I walk with you to your class, just to be safe?"

"Don't take my word for it, since I'm from north of the border and the closest person we had to a TV queen bee was Paige, Darcy and Zoe from Degrassi......."

Rob looked around, scratched his head, and thought about his next response before opening his mouth again, making sure he didn't get the chillies and say something completely off the tractor and into the fields.

"So, where are you from then?" Rob asked, before getting philosophical. "I mean, if we are doing this back and forth question thing......."

"Oh, that's cool." Seth shrugged, although he didn't really know what to think at the moment. He was a little bit nervous, but now that he had a friend who knew her way around the school to accompany him, some of his apprehension was at least quelled.

Speeding up his walk, Seth suddenly wanted to get to class right away. Mainly because he'd felt like he was moving too slowly and didn't want to be late on the first day. He glanced around often, waiting for April's cue as to which class they'd be going to first. Seth was a little irritated at this point that he'd failed to think ahead, not having bothered to check his schedules before anything else. And he'd thought he was totally ready as well, which only added to his annoyance. Nonetheless, he decided to keep going with it, hoping to heaven that he wouldn't screw up. It was way too early for that.

Then, with a slightly off tone, Seth asked April, "Uhm.. I know this is a stupid question, but what class are we heading to first?" he chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head, ready to explain in case April wondered why he didn't know his own schedule.

Sophia Taylor

Sophia slowly looks upward, offering a warm, genuine, and friendly smile once more as Rob spoke about his hometown, which sounds not all too dissimilar from the plethora of such towns across her home state of Louisiana. Sophia was a remarkably intelligent young woman, having known for quite sometime that Alberta was a province of Canada. In fact, she thought as much as a potential option upon listening to Rob's accent.

"Sounds like such a lovely place, Rob."

Sophia drew a mental picture of such a place Rob was describing, with rolling hills and vast forests sprinkled between farmland of various small towns that resembled much of the American Heartland or the stereotypical southern states. Sophia didn't have much of an accent, though there is a semblance of country twang to it on occasion as well as some slight occasional Cajun - however it is doubtful that Rob would have been familiar enough with Louisiana or its' people to distinguish such accents in the first place. Yet, upon an inquiry of where she hailed from, Sophia was more than willing to share with a smile and a cute chuckle.

"You'd probably be miserable where I am from. I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It can get pretty hot and humid in Louisiana, as there are a lot of swamp and marshland. Plus, much of it is right up against the Gulf of Mexico."

Sophia pauses as she contemplates attempting to tie a connection between Louisiana and Canada, deciding to do so rather quickly.

"You probably know about Louisiana, and its' rich French history and the only state in the United States to be predominately-French in such culture, but did you know that a lot of its' original Cajun settlers actually came from Acadia, Canada?"

The Marks Twins

"Well, if you don't mind me saying, this day has gone just wonderfully!" Brianna told her brother, her voice dripping in sarcasm. She was thrown off completely at the turn of events, and from Andrew's tales about some fool getting himself arrested, it was quite a sight to behold. The absolute fuck-fest known as Blake Hosely High School. Just in one day too! Brianna shivered at the thought of what came next.

Of course, Andrew was concerned about the cheerleader. However, for the most part, he took the entire day thus far with stride. He wasn't the sort to let things get to him, so he was good in that respect. "I know right? All sarcasm aside, I'm sure it couldn't get worse." He replied, only to get smacked by his sister. "Well you just jinxed us Andrew, of course it could get worse!" She said in reply, which sort of made a point of how Brianna was handling things. She normally wasn't this aggressive. Even when Andrew was concerned.

"Well, all we can do now is head to class and hope things go better. I'd be happy just to go to class, it feels like forever since we arrived at school. It hasn't even been a full day yet!" He said as the walked to their first class.

Yuki Sakamoto:

Elejamie wrote:After dithering for a little while, Peter decided to just open up and read it. After all, he was sure that the pep rally that would inevitably follow would be as dull as always. Just some loud excuse to get him invested in something he has no interest in. Besides, if he wanted to put up with any mindless entertainment, he'd rather read his book and imagine himself as Guy Montag. Not only would it be more entertaining, if not by much due to what the book's about, but also it would help him find his comfort zone, due to him being around a lot of people he doesn't know making a whole lot of noise.

And then he heard a voice. A girl's voice, to be exact, talking about how Fahrenheit 451 and how strange but fitting it was. He looked over to see who it was, only to find out it was Yuki. Indeed, from what he was hearing as she went on, presumably because he heard her, she was complimenting his taste in literature, especially since it seemed so fitting for what was happening. "Thanks." He said, trying not to be loud to avoid any unwanted attention.. "To be honest, it was this or Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. But er... I've read Brave New World, pretty good book, but not this. That and, looking down there..." He said, briefly turning his gaze to what was happening below and also pointing at is. "I think I made the right choice."

On this point, Yuki could not agree more. And while neither of them got a lot of actual reading done, Fahrenheit turned out to be an fantastic conversation starter. It led the new acquanitances into a friendly discussion about the merrits behind various novels that where considered "classics" and how they compared with each other and in which aspects where unique to the individual work. They both where so absorbed in their conversation, that they almost missed the actuall start of the pep rally.

Elejamie wrote:And then he had to introduce himself to her. Indeed, at first, he was wondering if he should just do a simple introduction, where he just says his name. But then he had a good look at Yuki and smiled slightly at how beautiful she was. It was at that point where he figured he might try and come up with something a bit more charming, maybe in-depth. But, as soon as he realised he couldn't think of anything that wasn't corny, stupid or just plain embarrassing, he decided to just go with the simple approach. "Kowalski Pe-" Peter began to say before he realised what was coming out of his mouth. He wasn't sure if it was nerves, because of this attractive girl sitting next to him, or if it was because he was about to make a joke and he wasn't sure if she'd find it funny. So he shook his head quickly and started again. "I mean Peter Kowalski." Just after he finished speaking, he moved the book over a little bit so she could have a read if she wanted to. After all, he wasn't sure if she's read the book or if she has a copy of her own or even if she wanted to read as well throughout the cheerleading display, but at least it meant they had something to do together. And presumably because it would spare her from the mind-numbing tediousness that was the pep rally.

For the first time since she had entered the school, or rather to be more prescice, since she had entered this country, Yuki found a feeling that she had not had for quite some time. She actually and unapologetically enjoied a conversation. This in general was quite a rare state for her.

It was not that she despised the presence of other people, but for an introvert, social interactions, even the pleasant and wanted kind, always was a emotionally exhaustive experiance. Also, since the world's population was dominated by extroverts, and the small number of introverts did not like to make their presence known, finding one of the rare people operationg on a similar wavelength was a rare and cheriched event. So she decided to make the most out of her good luck. It wasn't like she would be missing out on anything important otherwise.

Ezekiel wasn't sure how the kid with the speak would respond, he expected the kid to be some rebellious kid and complain about the Principal's speech being lame and not caring, but trying to justify Jon's actions was a surprise. He was curious as to how far the other student would go to defending his actions.

"Do you know why people become terrorists? I mean, that's what the kid was being, a terrorist. They do so because they've either had everything lost, or everything was taken away. And then they want revenge on the world for doing that. It's not simple teen angst. There is a difference. This kid needed help, and whatever Dr. Kent tried to give him, well, it was not the right kind. Just blaming it on some medicine, and trying to inspire him with a little story doesn't work. You need to try to get to him. You need to deeply connect to these kind of people. You look at him, and you see "well, hes just a sadistic, psychopathic fuck," I look at him and I see, there was hope. You could have tried to find out why he was depressed, why he was so spiteful of the world. And you didn't, Dr. Kent. You just looked at him and thought you could change him with a simple story and smile. That's never worked. I know. My friend, back in England, killed herself. You know why? Her parents died. The people around her had seemingly abandoned her. And she thought there was nothing for her. So she jumped off a bridge. I never thought she had gotten to that point, and I never thought she had reached such a low. You need to reach out, not just give a little word, and hope it works."

This exchange made her actually groan and roll her eyes. For one, the rudeness of this person was almost unbelievable.
"Sigh. This person has apparently not the slightest idea about the mechanisms of terrorism, or how depression works. Was her only mental commentary. As she could not present the evidence she posessed, and even if she could, this person who appeared to be disruptive, just for the sake of being disruptive probably would not care about facts anyway.

Yuki would have been among the first to stand up to and fight against the school authorities if she even suspected that the had abused their power or treated someone unfairly, but in this case she was actually in full agreement with Dr. Kent (she could not believe she just thought that). He had handled a bad situation as much as was in his abilities, and it easily could have ended in a complete disaster if he had acted differently.

Elejamie wrote:And, as they were reading, they paid little to no attention to the pep rally below. After all, they were too invested in his book and Peter couldn't really see anyway. At some point during the routine, the guy next to him asked him if a girl was alright. Peter, who was too heavily invested in his book, didn't really see which girl he was talking about. Presumably he meant one of the cheerleaders, as they were the only ones that could be seen clearly but, even then, Peter was stuck behind someone who was taking up a lot of room. And then he heard a noise, which was presumably her falling to the floor. As a result, he looked up and all over the place, looking at all the people making noise as a result. "Wha? Huh? Oh. Gasp." He half-heartedly said in an attempt to join in; after all, who could blame him seeing as he didn't have a good view and, as far as he knew, it could've been someone landing a bit harder than they should've. And then the guy next to him spoke again, confirming that someone had fallen down and that he was hoping she wasn't injured. "Er... Me too." He said, fairly quickly, trying to not get involved in a conversation. Not out of disrespect but rather because he barely knew the guy and he was too invested in his book.

Just like Peter, Yuki did indeed pay very little attention to the actual rally, only keeping half an eye and ear on it, respectively, while devoting the remaining one and a half of each of her sensory organs to the conversation with her newly acquired friend.

But, suddenly something did actually catch her attention enough that she devoted all of her sensory organs to what was happening on the field. Before she had consciously noticed it, she already knew that there was something wrong with Casey's jump. As a martial artist, she knew a lot about how human bodies moved, especially when it came to falling. Every conscious person, even if they where playing dead, would subconsciously try to break their fall. Casey did not. At all. Instinctively, she jumped out of her seat, the moment the cheerleader landed with a loud, audiable "Clonk" on the gymnasium floor in an unceremonial heap of limbs.

Her first instinct was to run to the unconscious girl and check if she needed help. On the other hand, she was way back in the last rows of the stands, so she was probably as far away as physically possible inside this building. Also there were a lot of people that were a lot closer to the scene and also probably had better medical training than her. So Yuki decided to suppress her protective urges for now and wait until the assembly had ended. It could not take than long anyway. So, for the rest of the rally, Yuki sat there on metaphorical needles, waiting for it to be over so she could finally go and check on Casey.

As this frustrating waste of time exercise FINALLY drew to an end, she realised that she had somewhat ignored her conversation partner for some time now.
"Ahem. Please excuse my impoliteness, but the girl that just did crash-land on the stage is a friend of mine. I you do not mind I would like to go and see if she is alright." She pulled out the small case in wich she carried her calling cards. "But before, I want to tell you that I actually enjoyed our conversation very much and would like to continue it another time. While we will probably meet in some class later I want to give you my contact information, just in case. Would that be OK with you?"

After seeing him nod affirmative, she did hand the card over (after she double-checked that it was one of her actual calling cards, and not one of the fakes that she used to get away from creepy middle-age men who showed disturbing amounts of interest in asian teenage girls) and politly bowed good bye to him, with a "See you in class.", the very second Dr. Kent ended his speech and dismissed the students to their classes.

While the majority of students headed for the main exits, Yuki aimed for the passageway that lead to the locker rooms and showers and other utility areas, as this was where they had brought Casey. Quickly she flitted through the people gathering in the aisles, avoiding main traffic routes and so staying ahead the crowds until she dissapeared in the passageway.

As she was halfway through the passageway that lead out of the gymnasium, she heard a commotion behind her, shouting, laughing and... the sound of rushing water?
Just a moment later, a (to her) unknown boy sprinted past her. The sight he offered was unusual enough to let even a goal focused person pause for a moment.
A guy wearing cat ears and -tail, drenched in water, just ran past me, as if he is chased by the devil himself.

On any other day, she would have at least considered to try and find out what had happened here. But today, there were stranger, as well as more important matters to consider. So she just gave it a shrug and went back to her search for her roommate. I whish I could say that this was the strangest thing that happened to me today. Unfortunately I have to say this won't even reach my personal top five.

Casey O'DohertyCasey was visibly surprised at the fact that only a few minutes had passed from her crashing down onto the floor unconcious and her waking up in the locker room examination room all confused and panicky.

As the building map did not show a seperate ambulance room inside the gymnasium, and there was no ambulance outside, Yuki concluded that the most logical place to search for her friend would be the girls locker room. And indeed as she approached, she could hear voices through the door, leading her to the conlusion that she was right. She hesitated for a moment, not wanting to disturb any medical procedures, but from what she could hear, all people inside where rather calm. So, she knocked on the door politely, only to having it swung open and finding herself face to face with the very same woman she had seen transporting Casey away.

"Uhm, Hello," she started. "I am searching for Casey O'Doherty. I am her friend as well as her roommate and just wanted to see if she is OK, or if I can do anything to help her."

"Ay kabayo ka!"(1), he muttered most loudly as it fell. He then picked it up, and pieced the battery and cover back together.

"Not too bad, uh.", he spoke on. "Let us continue...". He then stepped outside the door just ahead of Aaron.

Peter Kowalski

Peter was quite enjoying the conversation he was having with Yuki, discussing various books and what should be considered classics. After all, even though he wasn't really a massive bookworm, he at least had an idea of what makes a good book. And, indeed, he had a number of books in his head that he considered great. For a start, he brought up the works of Dickens, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Anne of Green Gables (a book he wouldn't go out of his way to read again but still pointed out what he liked about it) and, of course, Fahrenheit 451, to name a few examples. He also mentioned Watchmen which, despite being a comic, he thought should be considered a literary classic; he also would've brought up Illmatic but, since it was an album, he decided against it. The downside was that he didn't really do much reading but, on the upside, his book at least served another purpose: It was so he didn't have to make eye contact, something he found difficult with people he didn't really know.

And then he realised something. Was he making a new friend? Granted they had just met, he didn't know a lot about her and he rarely spoke to people who weren't family without a reason. However, she seemed interesting, they were both on the same wavelength and he thought she was quite attractive, all of which made him want to talk to her more often. Still, the whole thing felt weird to him, especially since he never really had any friends that weren't family (albeit by choice rather than bullying or shyness, the latter of which was why his father found it hard to make friends until the last couple of years of high school) and as a result he didn't really know what to do or if she was in the same boat. Still, he wanted to make this work, so he reminded himself to call his brother Mike later, as he would have to ask him for advice. He'd know what to do. For now, Peter just kept on doing what he was doing, not letting this whole turn of events distract him.

Sometime after Casey fell but before the end of the pep rally, Peter quickly looked over at Yuki, mostly so he'd know what she looked like the next time they met. However, when he got a look, he noticed that she seemed quite nervous about something, even moreso than everyone else in the room. However, remembering what had happened, he put two and two together. Was the girl that fell her roommate? Her friend? Something more? Peter wanted to say something to make her feel better but he wasn't sure of what to say; even if he did, he was a bit worried about it backfiring. He also wanted to ask what the problem was but decided against it as well, mostly because it might end up making the situation even worse. So, rather than risk anything, he just kept quiet and waited for the whole thing to end just so she can check on the girl and probably put her mind at ease.

After the rally was over and everyone was getting ready to leave, Peter was going to ask Yuki if she wanted to carry on their discussion, presumably on the way to their next lesson. However, just as he opened his mouth, she spoke. Apparently, that was her roommate that fell earlier and she would like to check up on her just to make sure she was OK. Peter, who understood her situation, simply replied "Sure, that's fine. I'd be like that too." However, what happened next shocked him a little bit. She wanted to give him her contact information, as a "just in case", apparently because their conversation was that good. "OK, Peter, it's just a pretty girl giving you her number." Peter thought, trying to calm himself down so he won't scare her off. "Just play it cool, say something and keep it safe. Don't lose it." However, instead of saying anything when she asked him that was OK, he just simply nodded as she gave him her card. She then bowed, said that she'd see him in class and then headed off, presumably to find Casey. Peter, who had remained seated just to let anyone pass, then got up and headed out of the gym, replaying the situation in his head as he put the business card safely in his wallet.

Eventually, when the assembly was overly over, he then realised something. In his rush to get his stuff in, he accidentally left one of his bags in his car. More specifically, his gym bag, which he left out of his duffle bag because there wasn't really enough space in it for all of his clothes and, since he'd only wear them in PE, he figured he'd put his sports kit in a separate bag. Even if he didn't have PE later that day, it was still a good idea to get it now. He took his car keys out of his jacket pocket and started walking towards his car, stopping in his tracks when he noticed something. Not only was the car next to him parked a little bit too close to his but there was also a dent in his passenger-side door, as well as a little bit of paint scraped off. Suppressing the urge to swear, Peter instead let out a long yet quiet exasperated sigh and muttered under his breath. Looking at the Chevy next to his, he went inside, wrote a note on a piece of paper the front desk gave him, went back outside and placed it in one of the Camaro's windshield wipers, in a position that the driver of the other car would easily see it.

Once that was over, he decided that it might be a good idea to carry on with what he was doing before this whole incident. After all, it was probably an accident and he was sure that the driver would probably help him sort this whole thing out. Shrugging it off, he quickly went round to the back of his car, opened up the truck and took his bag out, finally relieved that he managed to get everything out of his car. He then headed back inside, back to his dorm so he could put this bag somewhere in his room and get his school bag for his first lesson. Maybe he'll meet Logan back at the dorm, maybe he'll run into Yuki again, maybe he'll bump into that guy who was talking to him during the assembly. Either way, Peter knew this was going to be a long afternoon. Fortunately, he had his iPod on him so, slinging the gym bag over his shoulder as he kept walking, he took out the iPod, put his earphones in and put on a random song, not only to make him more comfortable but also to wash that goddamn chant out of his head.

Dear driver,

It seems like you dented my car door, probably because you were in a bit of a rush to get out. Don't worry, it was an accident, so I'm not mad. However, we still need to swap insurance info. Meet me in the library at 4. I I'll be the guy in the beige field jacket.

Looking forward to meeting you there

April Chetwynd
"Nervous about the first day?" April asked Seth, noticing his uneasiness. "The first day of high school can be pretty nerve racking, because you are going into a whole new phase of your life. One that can be a big deciding factor for who you will become, and the time when everyone's hormones are running high. I know I was a nervous wreck on my first day. I do a little better now, but it is still hard to get into the swing of things again" She said, not really saying that in any way to be comforting, but maybe it would be, anyway. "Not that I am not a nervous wreck sometimes on the best of days..." She had said, her voice going low and her frowning, but immediately stopped herself and got herself back on track. "But it gets better, once you settle in" She quickly said, getting away from her burst of negativity. She still seemed momentarily distant, though. "There is no escaping some of the school insanity, but that is to be expected. But it still gets better. Especially if you simply stay out of all the drama. I have done fairly well at keeping a mostly low profile, so" She shrugged her shoulders.

When Seth had asked about class, she simply gave him an answer with no judging apparent. "Oh, we are going to chemistry first. We are almost there" She told him with a small smile. She didn't seem to particularly care that he didn't appear to know his own schedule, simply chocking it up to his first day and not really being fully organized yet on everything that he needed for the day. Which she understood perfectly, as she could get pretty disorganized at times like that. Not all the time, but sometimes. And the first day was the perfect time for such a thing, so no judgment from her.

Ella Birkett
"Yuuup" Ella said, in a tone of voice that made it pretty clear she wasn't sure what to think of it. There was almost a...worried tone in her voice, but it seemed exaggerated on purpose. Mostly that she was just...unsure how that would play out. And little did she know how that would end up going. "Pretty sure you're right. At least likely the case. Hopefully she doesn't fit the cliches shown in television, though" She added, though she had her doubts. But she wanted to give her roommate the benefit, and not make assumptions just yet. She seemed okay so far, but she hadn't seen much of her. "Should be an interesting year, anyway" She continued, though if you were the observant sort, you would see that a flash of worry crossed her face at those words, and a bit of sadness, but it very quickly went away and went back to a more happy smile from her.

Jimmy walked down the hallways of the Male Dormitory's, moving with purpose. His cowboy boots thumped on the floor with every long striding step, and he whistled as he went. He wore ratty old jeans that were just a bit too long for him, which he had rolled up, and a a shirt that proudly displayed Macho Man Randy Savage on his chest with the sleeves torn off. Around his waist he had a belt, with a belt buckle that had a big green crocodile inlaid on it, and an old flannel shirt tied around his hips. Jimmy whistled as he walked, and ran his hands through his hair, before looking down at the little piece of paper in his hands. He was trying to juggle it between his duffel bag, two jackets, phone and various papers and leaflets that had been given to him when he had arrived. Eventually he simply gave up and just let all of his things drop to the floor in a heap. Some other students looked over at him, and he looked up to stare back.

"What?" he said incredulously. Most of them looked away, except for one student who just continued staring. Jimmy gave them the finger, and they gave him the finger right back before walking away. Jimmy watched them go, before looking at his little piece of paper. It said his room number, and supposedly told him how to get there but to him the directions just looked like mismatched liens leading him nowhere. The secretary who had written this for him had the handwriting of a preschooler.

Jimmy looked back up again, and picked out a face from the students in the nearby common room. He walked over to them, and said, "Hey, could you tell me how Im supposed to get to this room? The lady who wrote this has shit handwriting." Jimmy spoke with a southern accent, and a few students seemed to take notice. The boy he asked for the directions nodded at him, before pointing him down the hallways and explaining to him how to get to his dorm room.

"Thanks," said Jimmy, before going to gather up his things again and setting off back down the hall's. He passed many other doors, and eventually found himself on the exact other side of the building he was in and up on the second floor. He looked at the door in front of him, which had a black ROOM 10 inlaid on it. Beside the room number is said "Aaron Hunter," and on the other side it said, "James Bartley." He could hear muffled voices of people talking inside, but couldn't tell what they were talking about.

Jimmy sighed, looking at the door handle. He crouched, and tried to get a grip on it with his hands, but they were full. He then turned around, and tried to use his ass to open it, but had similiar luck, before giving up and lifting his foot up and pushing the handle down with his foot, before kicking the door open with a loud bang. He looked around the room, and saw the source of the talking he could hear outside. Three or four people all sat clustered around one person, who seemed noticeably wetter than the others.

Jimmy stepped forward, kicking the door back shut with his foot before throwing his possessions into a free corner of the room haphazardly and extending his hand out to the people in front of him. "Howdy y'all," he said. "Named Jimmy, and one of you is my new roommate."

Mickaël

Mickaël jumped when he heard the door get kicked open, he quickly put Aaron behind him so Aaron would be protected. However when he saw it wasnt Emilia or her gang, he eased up a little, but he still was keeping a close eye on the new comer, "Bonjour Monsieur Jimmy..." he quickly looked Jimmy up and down with suspicion and a bit of hostility in his eyes, he looked over to Aaron "Mon Amor, your...roommate is here now..." a glimpse of sadness went to Mickaël's eyes but he only let Aaron see. He quickly composed himself, and turned back to Jimmy, "Your room mate is Aaron...he's been though a lot today... " Mickaël was still very tense and a bit cold to Jimmy.

"Uh oh."
Aaron poked his head up behind Mickaël.
The furry waved awkwardly. "I'm Aaron. Hey!"
He whispered into Mickaël's ear. "This is gonna be awkward to explain..."
He glanced over at Mickaël's things around the other bed.

Christian McGraw

As they were about to leave, Christian got up and shouldered his assault pack as he got closer to the door "Gentlemen we are wasting daylight-" Christian was caught off guard as the door was opened, he was about to grab the door to open it until it was kicked open, snagging his hand Christian was able to maintain his balance by attempting an elbow strike to the person who had entered, he'd assumed it was a phase 2 of what happened to Aaron earlier today. But upon seeing who it was he redirected his elbow towards the door frame, when bone and wood came into contact the sound produced was just a simple this, loud enough to probably disturb the immediate neighbors.

"Sorry, sorry, mistook you for someone else." Christian said as he retracted his right arm back. Upon hearing the introduction of the individual who was named Jimmy, he was surprised to learn that one of them (primarily Aaron and Mikaël) were not supposed to be bunking here "Wait... So one of you guys are tresspassing so to say." Christian looked around for clues, he saw Aaron hiding behind Mikaël, whispering something, he couldn't quite make it out, the modulization was too soft, so he was about to take a bet until he saw Aaron glancing at someone's belongings, seeing how Aaron used the bathroom inside and that both Mia and Christian had brought nothing but small bags, it only left one person, but before he could point a finger, his identified "suspect" had already informed him.

"Mikaël, what are your things doing here anyway?" Christian asked as friendly as possible while retaining some concern in the statement "Anyway, names Christian, sorry about awhile ago, I thought you were someone else." He introduced himself.

"Speaking of the devil...", Edward muttered slowly as he had walked just a little distance when this... guy with outlandish attire came up and passed him. "Look at who's late. First a furry... and then... someone. Mhhh... Wait... what..."

BANG!

The newcomer just smashed down the door with a kick, as if he is a SWAT commando trying to rescue hostages. In this case he could have knocked, but oh well...

"The time's fleeting...", he thought. "Just a few more minutes... Chemistry is near to start. Perhaps it already did. Or not...? Pfft. Nevermind, I better check."

He walked back to room 10 with a slow stride, as if... stalking someone. He would take a small peek, and hear the words from Christian, "I thought you were someone else..."

Slowly, but surely, he crept around the door way(but not before reading the names on the door), and looked at the spectacle with a piercing gaze.

"Oi, man.", he beckoned from the door's left side. "Look's lkke... someone's late... Nah, jas kidding. Name's Edward... and I know you are... James Thomas Bartley. The name's right here," he said while tapping the door.

Gracy Cunningham
After all the turmoil of the assembly, and the surprise ending, it was finally time for class. For that, Gracy could only be thankful for. She sort of lead Julie to their next class together, as she was worried for the petite girl as it is at times. ("Gracy, who do you think is going to be our first teacher?" She said in French as she walked with her to the next classroom.

Coach Karen Sweggler

"Hello there, miss."

Karen says, glancing back to see Yuki inquiring as to the status of Casey, and offering a reassuring and disarming smile to her. In Karen's mind, it would make sense for Casey's apparent roommate to be rather anxious regarding Casey's condition. While the presumption would be that something serious had occurred, and understandably so, the fact is that Casey had just suffered a relatively insignificant faint from her own anxiety - relative in the sense that some denote health issues.

"She's feeling a lot better, but you can help by keeping an eye on her and making sure she drinks plenty of water and gets some rest throughout the day."

Karen then glanced down at her wristwatch to check on the time, and then looked back up to Casey and Yuki. Karen knew she had a history class coming up soon, though had it taken care of with a substitute. Karen had planned to remain alongside Casey for as long as it required, let it be for just an hour or less or even beyond to the end of the school day. Karen recognized the fear that such a student would have, a young one like Casey in particular, on her first day of the school year - and thus was quick to volunteer to making Casey's already quite-eventful first day a bit less of a tumultuous and stressful occasion. Karen contemplated reminding Casey about her option to just simply save going to class for tomorrow, but thought it best given the additional sudden audience of Yuki at this time. Karen paused for a moment, focused on Casey, and then proceeded to speak as she looked back up from her wristwatch.

"Well, ladies, I think now would be a good time to get going if you want to make your next class. I'll gladly walk you over to your classrooms if you are still unsure as to where you need to go."
