My only comment is that for a lot of the skills, any character should be able to use them, even if we haven't put points into them. Like with pistols, shotguns, driving, and rifles, those are all extremely easy tasks to get a basic understanding of, so even if I don't put skill points into them I object if that means my character can't shoot or drive a car.

Of course, you can DO anything. Having no points in a skill doesn't show a lack of skill it just shows a lack of making those skills advanced. If for example, you have zero pistol skill and you shoot at a main enemy as he is running away there is no way that it's gonna hit. However, if a bunch of generic baddies are rolling up and you shoot them down with your pistol, so long as you don't write it make your character sound like an expert, it's all good. When doing actions that will actively play a large role in the continuation of an arc there will be attempts. It could be an attempt that I've crafted specifically like, for example, if a main bad guy was trying to flee out a window as we enter the room he's in and you make a post along the lines of,

As Bob tries to flee I raise my pistol and fire at his chest...

Since you shooting Bob would affect the plot drastically there would be a set pistol skill you'd have to reach to make this particular shot. If you reach it I will post about Bob taking 3 bullets straight to the mid-section, if you don't reach it I'm gonna post about Bob quickly clambering out the window before he could get hit.

For driving it could be that for whatever reason you need to make a killer drift and if you don't reach a certain driving skill level you spin out. You can, however, operate an automobile completely fine under ordinary circumstances.

As for PvP, since no character wants to lose, it would be decided by who has the better skills and how well they utilized them against their enemies weaknesses.

RIP I ended up being busy all weekend with school stuff anyway. I don't know when I'll actually have time to write out more than 3 lines of text. Maybe today since today is the day I have my last difficult exam, but I might still be busy what with my brother's graduation and a lot of friend's graduation and a lot of different family and social and other end-of-the-year things going on.
