THE BASTION OF DESPAIR - THE NTH DIMENSION - MALZORG THE DEVOURER'S OFFICE

-OOC-

"As I gaze upon thee fairly, I abstain from contemplating life in your absence, the thought is crippling" said Malzorg blissfully. Of course, this bliss was a complete pretense he only kept up in the presence of others. Malzorg held eye-contact with his Snotling as it made him uncomfortable to look the minions of the Ascendants in the face, he didn't know what they understood, they were so.... unnerving, them and their mechanical expressions. Of course Malzorg had really been scolding the Snotling for relieving itself in his shoes, but when an uninvited Descendant had walked into the room, he had panicked and started reciting poetry a la bullshit.

A smile flickered upon the face of the young Snotling, however this could just as easily have been down to flatulence. There was no denying the innocent beauty which permeated through the personality of the Snotling, its simple-minded nature was often a blessing to many an owner. Not to Malzorg though, no, never to Malzorg. To Malzorg they were dastardly little imps, specializing in the art of twattery. However, to most they were welcome companions. Of course all of this was in Malzorg's head, his Snotling hadn't peed in his shoes on purposes, they had the cognitive capacity of an aggressive 1 year old, in the body of a diminutive goblin. As a matter of fact, on Malzorg's home planet they were known as Pygmy-goblins, the fashion accessories of the rich and powerful. Malzorg couldn't see why, now that he had one of his own. But this is a digression, the anger which was being displaced unto the innocent Snotling was really down to how paranoid he had been as of late. The last few months had been a wild ride for Malzorg to say the least. A better description would probably have been something to the tune of a trippy, surreal, multiverse-altering, crack mirage.

Malzorg hadn't always been this on-edge, it had all started when he had revived a dormant civilization of interdimensional Genghis Khans with space bridges. Malzorg could never remember what they were called, Quantum something or others. He did this all in one day out, whilst haphazardly traversing the jungles of Psi Algira 4 in search of help. He had crash landed on the jungle planet on his way back from his galaxy's casino planet. Broken in spirit and out of money, he had forgotten to refill his tank in his half-inebriated stupor. This would prove to be a determining factor in the imminent obliteration and enslavement of all kinds of deities spanning the multiverse.

Soon after having crash landed on the jungle planet of Psi Algira 4, amidst his anxiety and drunken confusion he took solace in the discovery of shelter; a grand cave which looked like it had been carved by the jungle itself to an almost surgical precision. Unfortunately for Malzorg, and even more unfortunately for all living organisms in the multiverse, it had.

Malzorg hadn't always gone by this name, truth be told, he found this name to be ridiculous. It was an amalgamation of every sci-fi and fantasy cliché he had ever heard, but it was the first thing which had popped into his head and it had potentially saved his life. His birth name was Tom Sheridan, he liked to see himself as the loveable misfit which everybody needed in their life. He would frequently get into shenanigans and was no stranger to the inside of a cell on Compound Aleph-090. In fact, he had been in trouble with the law so much - on account of his antics, that he acquired the nickname "The Hooligan of Harrisonburg". How he detested this nickname, he preferred "Captain Tom Sheridan", that's what he pretty much was, he had his own INTERGALACTIC VESSEL! Contrary to popular opinion it wasn't a space-dinghy, it was an ANGEL X35 and he would cruise the galaxy in it.

Back in the cave, Tom had quickly realized that this was no work of nature, it was quite visibly a spaceship. A gargantuan vessel, which had established itself as a part of the local ecosystem, it must have been sitting there for centuries, of not millennia. Cautiously, Tom tiptoed around the ship's various chambers and bays in search of essentials, everything looked almost untouched on the inside, a stark contrast to the vines coating the exterior of the vessel.

Sheridan must have only cleared a couple of rooms by the time he had reached what resembled some sort of grand, sleek yet ornate antechamber. It was adorned with etchings of planetary alignments and various constellations, none of which Tom recognized. However, this was not the room's main attraction. There were seven translucent, cylindrical pods which beckoned the eye. Floating around in some sort of viscous liquid were what looked like humanoids with significantly elongated foreheads. Initially, Sheridan had been startled by their presence, however he came to realize that they were in some sort of stasis. Keen to inspect them more closely, he took a few steps forward. Amongst other mistakes he made that day, Sheridan hadn't bothered to tie his laces after they had come undone, and as you can imagine this issue would present itself at the worst possible time. Mid-stride Sheridan's clumsy nature shone through as he tripped over his laces onto some kind of control center. At once, a multitude of buttons began to flash and as Sheridan had gotten himself off of the floor of the antechamber, he became aware that the fluid from the pods was draining. Not thirty seconds later, these figures were sprawled across the bottom of their pods with various tubes and wires coming out of them.

Then it started. The voices had begun to penetrate Sheridan's mind in an interrogative fashion. One voice had muttered something about having to make an emergency landing, and the necessity to go into immediate stasis. According to the numbers emblazoned across the pods, it had been nigh 50,000 years. Sheridan was about to express this information to these "Ascendants" as they had introduced themselves, but their first question was "Who are you?".

"Uhhhh.... Ummmm.... Mal-Zorg, Malzorg."
"The Devourer"
"Malzorg the devourer, yeah, I'm Malzorg the Devourer"

And so, the ensuing conversation was had in similar vein, with the Ascendants thanking "Malzorg" greatly and promising him great fortune and power in return for his co-operation in their rejuvenation.

Malzorg snapped out of his almost hypnotic trance upon the realization of a sharp pain in his shin, the Snotling had jabbed him with some sort of metal implement and Malzorg yelped in kind, kicking the Snotling. It was at this point that Malzorg had been escorted to the great conference room to discuss ideas of multiversal domination with the Ascendants. In short, at this assembly of the Ascendants, when the question was posed as to how their group could capture the all-powerful beings of countless universes which would all but inevitably oppose the Ascendants’ rule, Malzorg would suggest "Umm…A Big Cannon?" As they usually did, the Ascendants celebrated this magnificent wisdom and revered him once more.

This spur of the moment idea, resulted in the construction of not only "a big cannon", but a huge fucking cannon. This vast weapon of brobdingnagian proportion, almost planetary and in the shape of some kind of tuning fork, would later become: The Abrogator, abductor of gods. With this weapon in the hands of the Ascendants, they began their multiversal conquest by trapping the only people who could contest their reign in alternate dimension, known to few as the Asphodel Meadows. Where gods are rendered mortal.

One thing which the Ascendants didn't anticipate though, was that their reawakening would cause great interdimensional disturbances. Re-establishing their millennia old constructs; the Quantum Conduits, which would manifest themselves in various ways across countless universes…

The Hub Corridor
Act One: The Awakening
W.D Gaster: The Father

"ENTRY NUMBER 17:
Dark Darker Yet Darker, The Darkness Keeps Growing, The Shadows Cutting Deeper,
Photon Readings Negative,This Next Experiment,Seems, Very, Very Interesting...
What Do You Two Think?"

"I just want to come back..." A voice echoed in the darkness of Gaster's mind. At this, the former Royal Scientist opened his eyes to see nothing more than the darkness of The Void around him, an endless vantablack darkness that held no ray of light within it's endless maw. "What is this?" Thought out W.D Gaster as he peered into the darkness of his Void. It took only mere moments for the darkness to part like the mighty Red Sea, revealing a sight all too familiar Ex-Royal Scientist, there he stood on the other side of the dreamscape, his knees on the ground as he stared down in hopelessness of his situation "Is that..." Gaster stopped as he came to notice another form standing before Gaster's knelt down body, eyes of ice staring down at him with pity "Sans..."

"This isn't the way to do it G." The smaller skeleton stated to his father softly, while it was true that the two stood against each other, with Gaster seeking to absorb the soul of the young Frisk while his son was held steady in his conviction to defend the seventh child, the pacifist child who had in a timeline before this one attempted to strike down Gaster's beloved son. "I'll do whatever necessary." The vision of Gaster spoke in defiance, the black ooze that had surrounded the two rising up like a spear in a vain attempt to retrieve the soul for himself, the vision abruptly coming to an end as the elder skeleton was thrown back into reality of his situation.

Shooting up from the cold hard surface of the Corridor floor, Gaster gripped his soul tightly and scanned his surroundings diligently. How had he come here? Why was he here? The last thing that he remembered was staring at the setting sun of the surface world before he had attempted to teleport back to The Core... That has been the last memory that Gaster recalled before he found himself in this situation "Calm yourself Wing Ding, you got yourself into this mess, you'll get yourself out." The Royal Scientist assured to himself, wiping his cloak clean of the dust that had collected on it before he continued to scan the environment around him. The corridor was nothing more than a dreary color of grey, the power of the station seemingly offline from years of misuse. Gaster hypothesized that this place, wherever it was had been abandoned to time and neglected "What is this place?" Gaster asked to himself.

"There should be a directory somewhere." Gaster deduced, walking forward in search for anything that could help lead him into the direction of anything. It took a few moments of walking to notice a directory a few feet ahead of him. Making his way towards this directory, Gaster searched for anything pointing towards a Generator Room that could restore the power to the complex "Where is the, aha! The Generator Room!" Gaster smiled to himself, he was making some progress after aimless walking around the complex "Let's try and get some light in this station..." With that, the Ex-Royal Scientist made his way to the Generator Room.

Uzgrod
Somewhere
Uzgrod was stomping through the small town with his boys, unloading his shootas at the fleeing guardsmen and townsfolk. The only feeling he could really feel was boredom, the imperials had no tanks, no heavy weapons only flashlights to fight back with. He stop for a moment to survey the area, he saw a group of slugga boyz standing outside of some tall building, it had some golden statue on it. "What in Gorks name do ya boyz think yaw doing, stop standing around and get to fighhting". "There's sumethin in there boss", "Then get out of me way". Uzgrod lifted up his power klaw and sent it flying through the door splintering it into pieces

Stepping through the broken doors he saw it, a vestige of Mork and Gork at the other end of the church. Uzgrod walked towards it had another ork been here before. He put his hand up towards it and felt the power resonating off it. He looked at his boys they felt the same thing, the pounding in his suit meant that Snum had to feel it as well. He heard something faint in the sky that broke him from his trance, then the world around them exploded. Imperial artillery fire wracked through the building, and Uzgrod was sent through the vestige by the blasts.

When Uzgrod woke up he was inside some kind of tight corridor, Uzgord look around a few minutes before finding the way out. He looked around then began to explore.

Revan and Bastila
The Ebon Hawk

There was an uneasy silence in the cockpit of the Ebon Hawk as it hurtled towards the area of space where Revan and Bastila had earlier sensed a strange disturbance. To what, if anything, this disturbance might lead them to was unknown, but if whatever was responsible for abducting the Council was in the area, it was certainly cause for great concern. That had been part of the reason Bastila had returned Revan's famed Mandalorian mask to her husband; she knew that if they were to stand a chance against whatever entity was powerful enough to abduct the entire Council they would both need to be at their best. But at the same time it was more than that. Though neither of them said anything, they could both sense that it was more than just the Council that had been abducted, and that whatever other entity or entities were no longer present in the Galaxy had a far stronger presence in the Force than even the combined Council members. The silence was suddenly broken as HK-47 stated:

"Report: Sensors are detecting an unknown anomaly nearby, master."

Looking out at the empty space in front of her, Bastila replied "Are you certain? I'm not seeing anything."

"Explanation: That is likely because your liquidious meatbag eyes are inferior to the ship's sensors."

Bastila turned around to give HK the angry eye, and was about to respond when Revan stated "Hold on a moment" and pointed out the cockpit's viewscreen at a peculiar looking construct in the distance "I think that might just be what we're looking for." Revan turned the Ebon Hawk towards the construct, and as the ship approached, the occupants could see a large, metallic structure with a heptagonal shape. It was a large structure, though too small in depth to be a space station, and with a massive gap in the middle it had the appearance of some sort of gateway.

"The...structure doesn't appear to be of either Sith or Republic design" Bastila stated. "Is it Rakatan, perhaps?"

"If it is, it's unlike any Rakatan technology I've ever encountered" Revan replied "HK, what are the sensors showing?"

"Answer: The structure does not correspond to any known technology. Shall we destroy it to ensure it is not a threat, master?"

"Let's hold off on trying to destroy anything until we know a little more about it. I'm bringing us in for a closer look."

As Revan piloted the Ebon Hawk closer to the large structure, lights suddenly began to flicker on as the station quickly powered up. Within seconds, a large blue pool of unknown energy appeared at the center of the structure, and as it grew exponentially larger, it began to pull the Ebon Hawk in. Revan quickly threw the Ebon Hawk into reverse, but even at full thrusters it wasn't enough to evade the strange energy's pull.

"Everyone hold on, I'm activating the hyperdrive!" But that too was in vain.

"Statement: The energy field has disabled the hyperdrive. Can we please destroy it now, master?"

"It's too late!" Bastila exclaimed, as the Ebon Hawk began to be engulfed by the blue energy field. She grabbed Revan's hand as the ship slipped into the unknown; the eerie silence which oft preceded a seemingly certain encounter with death, perturbed when HK informed his crewmates:

"Exclamation: I have a bad feeling about this..."

Alt-Gensokyo
Underground Rotary Particle Accelerator Complex

It had been three days, and Razan was still missing.

She hadn't exactly said anything about her absence; all Enari could remember was her saying that she could feel something reaching out to grab her, heading out above ground to investigate, and then never returning. Once a day had passed, Enari started asking people around Gensokyo for information; unfortunately, things were much worse than they seemed. Reimu brushed her comment aside with "The damn Hakurei Border's going to collapse and you're worried about a selfish, incident-causing god?" Marisa was more tolerant, but still responded with something along the lines of "Sorry about your master, but we've got much bigger problems than that." Evidently, others in Gensokyo had disappeared as well, and as a result, things started... destabilizing.

Today she simply wandered around her master's accelerator - a preposterously huge construction encircling Youkai Mountain - looking for any sort of evidence or guidance. The vast banks of computers placed on both sides of the accelerator tunnel were all turned off, and not even a single flying yin-yang manned the controls. However, it seemed something was off. Walking along the floor (rather than flying), Enari could feel that it felt slanted slightly in one direction. Nothing seemed to actually be moving in that direction, but perhaps it was worth investigating.

Heading in the direction of the slant, Enari found herself walking down a rocky tunnel winding its way through Former Hell, and finally ending up at a platform over a gigantic pit of lava. Hovering no more than four feet above the platform was a pulsing, glowing, spherical object that rippled the air around it. The perceived slant seemed to intensify; she found herself getting a little nauseous, despite being used to being thrown around through the air in various danmaku battles.

There was no mistaking it; this was a dimensional portal. Where it led, she had no idea. What would happen on the other side, she also had no idea. At this point, though, anything she could try to find Razan with might help.

Taking a deep, somewhat shaky breath, Enari stepped towards the conduit and found her vision going white.

Monarch
The Frozen World of Leonov

Beings of harsh iron-steel alloy and delicate circuitry stood strong against the high winds and low temperatures on the deadly planet, their fearless leader struggling to move against the snow, crawling ever so slowly toward a distant chain of polar mountains. They arrived at a small cave at the base of a gargantuan peak, the cavern seemingly out of place and entirely unnatural in it’s shape and structure. Bound in warmth providing clothing, the man known as Monarch began to strip out of his cloaks and coats, revealing his sleek and sturdy armored form beneath. Following close behind were his robotic servants, scanning and observing their surroundings for potential threats as their leader pushed on forward.

Monarch began to speak, and since his robots were pre-programmed rather than housing sophisticated artificial intelligence, he was basically talking to himself. “The Gods are dying, or disappearing.” He firmly stated, “I’ve kept watch on them now and again but they’re suddenly gone. Why?” He pondered, pushing deeper into the system of tunnels under a snow peak, artificial light guiding his way. “Curiously, at roughly the same time, this wonderful little mountain began to pulsate with energy. Coincidence? Hopefully, but it seems that we’re about to either discover where these Gods are going, or just go deeper into the rabbit hole.”

Rocks and permafrost began to give way to strange, metallic walls and floors, Monarch observing the shift with keen interest. He touched his gloved hand to the wall as he walked on, feeling the soft, cold metal and it’s groves and symbols, as well as sending out a pulse to map his immediate area. “We’re coming upon a chamber.” He declared, the single hallway leading him to nowhere but a large domed structure, it’s ceiling made of a carved, metallic tapestry unknown to damn near any man. “This central complex seems… Ominous, to the say the least.” A steady, persistent humming began to sound throughout the complex, Monarch’s battlebots taking up position to attack. “And that sound doesn’t seem like it’s friendly.”

As Monarch shifted his gaze and scans all across the room and above him, a feeling of weightlessness and floating began to affect him. Shocked, Monarch glanced at the floor to discover a giant, pale blue whirlpool forming beneath his feet. “It seems that we’ve found ourselves a portal chamber. Recording coordinates, preparing for unplanned exit of the underground complex.” Monarch opened a display with his wrist and began to type furiously into the holographic keyboard, trying to figure out where he would land in a split second, but always running into a location error. “Expected destination…” He began somberly, “Somewhere outside of this reality.”

In a flash, the dimly lit metallic room was replaced by another, this one seemingly more forgiving and recently occupied, but otherwise, fairly lifeless. Rather than drop off in the middle of the Hub, Monarch was dropped in it’s armory, though he knew none of that information. Not only that, but it seems his fire support did not make the journey with him. “Location coming online, establishing connection with prior universe…” He said to himself, typing into his wrist with his off-hand. “Connected.” As he secured his way out, Monarch began to look at his surroundings more closely. “Area appear to be an abandoned space station. I’m in what should be the weapons’ quarters.” He stated, picking up a large, long abandoned and non-working rifle from a nearby table. “It’s fairly advanced, so why is it abandoned?”

“I swear,” He suddenly declared, “There better not be any goddamn space bugs that ate the entire crew walking around. I will blow this place in half and from top to bottom.” As he began to explore the large room in greater detail, finding it to be in serviceable shape and entirely operational, if it had power. “Back-up generators located.” He said, igniting a tall generator that roared to life after years of dormancy, “Enough for…” He sighed, “Twelve minutes of routine operation.” Monarch began to dig into his pockets and release little orbs that hovered close to him, the scientist dumping a code into their hardware and assigning jobs, two were to explore and two were to scan technology and weapons.”

As his little drones went about their business, Monarch touched the walls and produced a hallway map of the station, vaguely able to discern what was where and such. He exited the armory and walked a few feet down the hall, a stand-alone computer directory for the station sitting right where his map said it would be. Barely clinging to life, the directory threatened to blink off as it’s reserve power was quickly fading. Monarch pulled a cord from his belt and pried off the protective covering for the computer, disconnecting the old power supply and splicing on his own with a quick arc flash.

Monarch powered the computer up, dumping his own operating system to act as a proxy between any viruses that may be present and his computerized suit. Monarch set up a crawler to rapidly acquire the information on the directory, finding the maps of the station and trying to decode the alien language that was in use. As he was finishing his data collection, to Monarch’s surprise, the lights turned on across the hallway he standing in. Monarch disconnected himself and backed away from the directory, noting, “I’m not alone.”

Undisclosed Location, Northern Arctic, North Western Territory UASR.

"Get up troopers! We have no time to lose!" Commander Ivanov, appointed leader of Security Squad 9, yelled at his currently idle and half-drunk squad.

"What the fuck is up now?" Dominic, the Squad's resident experimental weapon's trooper replied, still dizzy from a rather arduous and boring day listening to scientific banter by the local research center's staff. Lab coats, the lot of them. Dominic couldn't, and didn't feel like understanding the jargon that everyone else seemed so interested in studying. Two more months in this hell hole and he was out.

The other 3 members of Squad 9 were equally disoriented and exhausted, although their reasons varied (Howes and Amir were recently involved in an extensive radiological warfare drill, while Huang had spent too much time studying for his doctorate's degree). To them, today was just another day at work, and one day closer to the date they would be transferred from their remote outpost to a more suitable location.

"Listen up comrades, it seems that the scientists in Sector U-235 have something of interest they need us to inspect. Orders are simple: pack up everything and act as if you're going into combat."

"Yes sir..." all 4 squad members replied in their half asleep moods.

"WAKE UP YOU SHITS! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!"

"YES SIR!"

Sector U-235

Prior to today, Sector U-235 of this unspecified scientific facility had largely been dedicated to researching new forms of energy storage, particularly that of anti-matter. In total, Sector U-235 had produced a few grams of the material, which was stored in a small number of vacuum containers located in undisclosed areas. However, it appeared that a recent anomaly / machinery malfunction had seriously altered the atmosphere of the sector, which was now abandoned.

On the far side of one of Sector U-235's particle accelerators was what appeared to be a bright slash in space: some sort of void that led to whoever knew where. And it turns out that being members of lab security usually gets you sent to deal with these type of situations. Squad 9 had no clue about what it was going on, but it's not like anyone particularly cared. After all, there were always more soldiers available.

As Squad 9 entered the abandoned sector, a number of warning lights went off, and before they knew it, everything went dark. Later news sources would record the incident as a minor reactor failure which led up to a small nuclear explosion, but nevertheless conspiracy theorists would be all over the case.

In reality, Squad 9 found itself inside what appeared to be a large, empty hallway. Doing what they knew how to do best, the members of Squad 9 collectively decided (not including the commander): "screw it, we're lost, better attract some attention". It was Dominic who suggested that they play the Soviet anthem at max volume, and wave around the duel Soviet and UASR flags. Apparently that idea stuck, and Squad 9 proceeded to march down the hallway blaring patriotic music from their helmets' built in loudspeakers while waving the UASR and USSR flags. Ivanov was more than a bit disappointed with what he would describe as "utter stupidity", but then again, he simply wasn't in the mood of correcting his troops just yet.

Rift

An Old Man sat at a table in a small bar amidst the ruins and waster that was Calia. In his hand was a glowing cyan drink, which he seemed to be enjoying throughly. He was clean shaven, despite the enviroment he lived in. A bartender stood behind the Bar, catering to patrons as they ordered various drinks from across the universe. Several ships flew over head, and people entered and left as they saw fit, paying or not. Calia had been an anarchy for the past 1,000 years and that didn't seem to be changing soon. The bar's patrons were from all over the universe, tentacled, furry, slimy, non coporeal. Yet all of them stared as a new group that had enetred. They were made of some unknown metal, with no discenible face. Two of them carried guns, while the other two seemed to have weapons mounted on their wrists. They approached the old man, asking him "You are the eldest here?" In a robotic voice. The Old Man looked at them and said "You seem to know." The Robot continued "You are the eldest?" The old man spat, "Sure, whatever you want." The Robot questioned him "We are looking for a being named Falon." The entire bar erupted into laughter.

The robot asked "What is amusing" To which the old man answered "You're about 16 billion years late for her my friend, the closest you'll find here is the Malice" The Robot asked "The Malice? Where can we find this being?" The Old Man said "You're either stupid or suicidal if you go looking for him. If you're lucky he will find you." Suddenly the swinging doors to the bar slammed open. In them stood a large humanoid in black and red armor. He held a large gun in his right hand. Several people at the bar recoiled away from him as he slowly walked forward. Stopping in the middle of the bar, he ordered a drink, calling it his 'usual'. The Robots gathered around him. Their leader asked him "You are the eldest one here?" Rift simply answered "Well, if someone else was I would be pretty suprised."

The Robots seemed to tense up in Rift's presence. The leader of the robots said "Perhaps you do not understand. We are members of the Descendant Army. We are seeking a being for the safety of everything. It is imperative you take this seriously." Rift simply answered "Look here Bolts, I know your species, you've been around here long enough, even if you do hide off towards the Edge of Everything. I'm not scared of you and I'm certainly not scared of whoever your hunting Rustbucket. Now if you could relax, have a drink, and fuck off, I'm sure we would like each other much more." The Robots pulled their weapons on the Warden of Malice. The leader said "Answer the questions or be eliminated." Rift turned around and said "Oh geez, two plasma cannons, an EMP blater, and anti-magic, I'm already dead." The Robots said "Where can we find the one known as the Malice." Rift burst out laughing. He slapped his knee and said "Fellahs, have I got the best news for you" In a flash Rift had picked up his Gravity canon and imploded the leader, the anti-magic unit. Rift laughed maniacally at the rest of them "He's right in front of you"

The Heavy attacked rift first, opening with a plasma barrage. Rift jumped aside, allowing the plasma to tear through the bar. The various patrons began to run from the bar. Rift grabbed the EMP Descendant and smashed him into the ground, crushing the metal in the machines body. Sparks flew, but the machine keeped oving, trying to punch rift. The Heavy Weapons machine kept fighting, blasting out walls as Rift continued to teleport around, dealing various blows to the descendants. Finally Rift said "EVERYONE WAIT!" He cleared his throat and said "This is boring, Any last words?" The Descendants looked at each other before Rift ripped one of them in two and stomped a third into oblivion. The Heavy, the only one remaining, continued trying to hit Rift, before Rift made a flying lunge at the Machine, ripping off it's head and smashing through the front wall of the bar.

Rift suddenly heard a Crashing noise behind him. The Bar building collapsed into dust. Rift stared at it a moment, before yelling "FALON DAMMIT!" The various spectators began to shuffle away. Rift kept yelling "THEY BLEW UP THE BAR. THE WHOLE FUCKING BAR. THE PIECES OF SHIT. WHO THE FUCK ATTACKS ME? ME! THE FUCKER WHO HAS MORE KILLS TO HIS NAME THAN ANYONE ELSE IN KNOWN HITORY. THE FUCKING SEEK OUT ME AND BLOW UP MY FAVORITE FUCKING BAR. THIS IS THE LAST AND ONLY STRAW. COMPUTER, GET MY SHIP OVER HERE." A small one person craft appeared. Rift pulled himself into it, before saying "Computer, set course for the Descendant Homeworld." Rift closed his eyes and prepared mentally for the coming fight.

The ship arrived an hour later in Descendant space. Angled above the robotic captiol factory, the computer set off an alarm before ejecting Rift into Orbital Drop. Rift woke up a minute later. "Fucking shit, I fucking hate that. Can't a guy sleep in his own ship without getting dropped from orbit." Rift activated his mech suit, before smashing through the roof of the compound. A few Descendant workers stared at Rift for a few seconds, before everything started shooting at him. Rift sighed, and used his gravity gun to throw several Descendants into each other. He grabbed one by the neck and pointed the robotic weapon at his head. Rift dragged him down the hall and opened an elevator. Several other robots were within. Rift said "Do nothing or he gets it." The robots for someone reason replied and even dropped their weapons. Rift entered the elevator. The old music played. Rift turned to the robot next to him "Good weather today huh?" The robot stared at him as though he was insane. The elevator stopped on the bottom floor. Rift nodded to the robots, "This is my stop." Rift then dropped a grenade and hit the door close button, blowing up everyone inside after her jumped out.

Rift walked into a massive circular chamber, housing what appeared to be a humanoid in the center. This appeared to be some higher form of the Robots. Rift yelled at it "Hey, Central Intelligence, what the fuck do you want with me." A voice wavered from the walls itself, "You are Falon?" Rift replied "I'm as close as you are going to fucking get shit head." The being laughed "You have brought yourself right to me. My masters will take you. The Ascendants will rise!" Rift asked "Wait, there is more of you I have to kill." The Vicar laughed "There are infinite of us, you will nev-" Rift blasted a gravity wave, knocking the Vicar into the opposite wall and shutting him down. Just then, Rift noticed something glowing blue near where he blasted the Vicar. Flying over, the tried to grab what looked like a small sapphire set into a frame on the wall. Suddenly he felt like he was a worm.

Rift found himself on a space station nowhere he recognized. "WHERE THE FUCK AM I?!"

"You can step down..."
"Fighting is all I know..."
"I don't want to fight you..."

There was a blinding flash, and then nothing...

Darkness. Swirling. Nothing felt real. Everything felt weightless. She was falling...she felt sick. She was cold, then hot, then shivering. Her stomach dropped. She heard a scream; her sister's scream. She heard...no she didn't...she didn't hear her heart...She felt her blood run cold. She felt her chest seize. An impact rocked her...

She faded in...then out...then in again...she heard voice. She heard familiar voices. Was she dreaming? She felt anxious, scared. Why couldn't she wake up? She was dead. Maybe. She wasn't dead. She saw only darkness. A dark, silent, never-ending oblivion. She was dead. She was scared. Her heart began to race. Her heart began to race.

A bright flash.

Torii's upper body thrust forward. She flopped onto the ground, coughing. She coughed and hacked, then gasped. She gasped for air. Her head was so light, her vision blurry. Her heart was pounding. It was struggling. She pounded at her chest, pain firing through her nerves. Her heartbeat began to race again...and then slowly, it relaxed....

She sighed and collapsed onto the floor. She'd heard other items falling around her. What had happened? Where was she? Had she been revived? Was she on the beach? Or at home? Where had she been? She didn't remember.

meanwhile...

Tora
Baku, Azerbaijan

The sun was still rising, basking the town in its light. A soft breeze blew through the streets of Baku, cooling her skin to the touch. She was loading into one of those planes today, to go back home to Kalmykia. The Airman moved along, dufflebag and rucksack all neatly packed, and not at all as heavy as they would appear to be. She would have her rifle and sidearm loaded on already, she noted, standing and waiting for the doors to open. Ivanov and Dima had planned to meet her soon, and the Commander would even be giving them a nod off, which she thought was nice. She was just happy to be heading back home. Azerbaijan was nice, surprisingly moreso than East Germany, but nothing beat Kalmykia. She'd have to be sure to show the guys around Elista.

"Oi! Comrade Dimitrov!", called a man. It was Ivanov! Tora turned to greet the man. "Ivan, hey.", She replied, her mood brightened. The two were good friends, drinking buddies actually. The two often spent nights after duty hours socializing, and both were as thick as thieves. She was glad he was going to be with her in Kalmykia.

The two decided to spend the hour traversing the airport, checking fast food places and grabbing some soft drinks, and when the announcement came that the flight was nearing its takeoff time, the two decided to head back. The way back wasn't too crowded, as the two made their way down the corridors. They were chatting, like normal, and the airman wasn't too concerned at all with her surroundings, when suddenly...

woosh

She closed her eyes. Dust and wind, or just..just wind...but that was a strong breeze? What the hell? She was indoors! She opened her eyes to see what was happening, when suddenly...she was in a totally different corridor. She caught a shadow. Her rifle came falling towards her! She caught it, though she wasn't as lucky with her sidearm, the thing popping her in the head before falling to the floor.

A barrage of angry Russian reverberated down the corridor.

Space: The Search

Jason drifted through the empty void of space in search of his friend: Otis. One day, after they agreed to meet and go to what amounted to a space bar, and never showed up. Otis wasn't the type of person to not show up when he said he would. To make matters even more interesting there were readings of "unknown energies" and the data Jason received from the Collective indicated that whatever weird energies were detected were not native to the universe and shouldn't even be possible according to the laws of physics. Then again, he had records of no less than four reality altering entities. After scanning tiny rocks that happened to pass by the area, Jason had just about enough of looking into an endless black nothing and looking at the material makeup of space rocks that he decided to try something else. "Log Date: It has been 62 minutes and 37 seconds since I started search for the guy and I ain't found shit. Which is weird, because he normally makes my sensors light up like a friggin' Christmas tree. I've come to the numerically sound conclusion that either I've been stood up, or he's been kidnapped. Neither of which are good- IDEA."

Jason's ship, unlike most every other ship in existence, didn't have controls or computers. Instead, it was synced directly to his body and neural mapping, allowing him to control his ship with a thought and made it borderline impossible to hack. "Alright. I'm gonna try something. Gonna go over... Here." He spoke to the recording device on his ship and slowly repositioned it to where he was getting the strongest readings. "I'm gonna overclock my wormhole generator, and try to open a wormhole into any place that matches this energy signature. 87.97 percent chance this does something awesome. 10.03 percent chance nothing happens. 2 percent chance I explode. If I explode. I died fighting a star ship. I won. Blast from the main gun damaged my personal reactor and it broke free of it's containment and crushed me into quantum strings. Damn." He snickered to himself as his wormhole generator cracked a hole in reality. "No explosion. Sweet. Uncharted territory. Record all data and stream back to the Collective. If I wasn't basically second in command, I'd totally get a promotion. Also. Otis. If you stood me up, I swear, I will kick you in the dick. If you were kidnapped. Then you bet'cher ass that I'm-a find a way to rescue you."

He took a metaphoric deep breath and his ship flew into the wormhole. The recording devices picking up as much detail as they could from the surprisingly short ride. Out he popped and arrived at what appeared to be some decently large space station. A quick scan revealed a handful of lifeforms all in one section of the station, with the rest being completely devoid of any life whatsoever. Which was definitely an odd sight. Most stations of that size were bustling with people. He found what appeared to be a hanger. "Welp. Prepare to be hacked you oversized garage doo-Oh nevermind." He stopped when the hanger door opened for him. "Welp. Here goes first contact with some possible inter-dimensional beings. If somehow I wind up dying in a hilarious fashion, delete the videos. I don't care how hilarious it is. If you don't I will seriously find a way out of whatever afterlife there may be and haunt you for the rest of your lives! End stream to body." He commanded and floated into the station.

His body picked up numerous gases... Oxygen, nitrogen, and various other gases typically used for breathing. Being completely mechanic in nature, he didn't actually need any of that, but it was clearly designed by people who would. He grabbed his blaster and slung it over his back with his swords already sheathed also across his back. "Alright. Here goes nothing..."

Location Unknown.

"So what your saying, Lt. is we haven't the fainted of ideas were the hell we are?" The Anger in the older man's voice range out over the still air of the bridge of the ship. He wasn't upset at the young officer in charge of navigation, rather at the grim situation. Stuck in a strange location in space, completely lost, all do to his choice to motor through the Ion nebula.

Yes Si-" The officer cut him self off due to a strange event: The appearance of a women, with pointed ears, a strange suit of what he guessed to be armor, a sword of unknown makes, and what appeared to be a pistol of some sort on her hip. Her eye fell on his and their gaze locked as they both sat motionless. With in seconds the whole room went quiet as every one in the room stopped in their tracks, as if frozen in time.

"Call Security!" He sprang up from his chair and drew the side arm with one swift motion. The women seemed to leap off the console, using the poor helmsman's face as a spring board, doing a small back flip in the process with grace that astonished Sean. He raised his pistol when the unholy screech hit him like a train. Dropping the compression pistol he grabbed at his ears and groaned in pain, as did most of bridge crew.

He saw her move from the corner of his vision as she dashed from the front of the bridge in seconds making it to the turbo-lift just as it opened to reveal a squad of fully kitted out MACO Marines. The soldiers leveled their guns on her and fired, a crack of rifle fire sending 10mm slugs in her direction. Alas, she had already rolled to the side and drew the sword to bring it down in an arc on the nearest soldier when a flash range out from the corner of room and an orange bolt of energy hit the intruder dead center on her back.

She yelped a alarmingly cute yelp before crumpling on the floor out cold, the stun bolt doing it's job. The Marines stripped her of her weapons and bound her hands with magcuffs when his Second in command, Lia, pulled him to his feet, her own pistol still warm from her crack shot. HE turned to the squad. "Lock her in the brig, full containment, only thing going in or out be ing air, under-"

He was cut off by his helmsmen. "Captain, unknown object ahead, looks similar to a trans-warp gate, but i'm getting strange readings from it." The whole of the crew turned to look out of the view port at the massive ring moved closer.

"What the hell..." Then there was a flash, then nothing.

Golbat Cave
Alfred hurried down the secret stairwell that led into the Golbatcave. He had an urgent message for Master Bruce. His eyes scanned the cave until he settled his eyes on Master Bruce, wearing his Golbatman suit without the mask. Master Bruce was sitting in front of the Golbatman computer.

"Master Bruce, the Golbat Signal is in the sky," Alfred announced. "Shall I alert Miss Gordon, Master Dick, and Master Thomas?"

"Just a little Team Rocket activity, Alfred. I can handle it. I'll contact you if I do," Bruce replied. He snatched up his mask from it's stand and put it on. "Just monitor the coms." With that, he climbed into the Golbatmobile. A door in the cave opened, disturbing all the Zubats, Golbats, and Crobats in the cave. They flew past the Golbatmobile as it sped out of the cave.

W.D Gaster
The Hub, Engine Room

"I think that did it." Gaster remarked, the hum of the generators bouncing off of the walls of the engine room and the lights beginning to flicker to life. While the design of the room would be normal to many, Gaster was blissfully unaware of Universes that had this type of technology at their fingertips, the sheer size of the room making the Ex-Royal Guard appear as if he were nothing more than an ant on an Ant Farm "I have got to journal this information down at some point, this is too good to just let pass by on it's own." As a Scientist, Gaster enjoyed discovering new things that he could research, this was show when he was the lead designer of The Core, the Project of building it offered a challenge to the Skeleton that he was all too eager to meet and now? Now Gaster had the chance to find more meaningful innovations and technology aboard this space station that could benefit both Humanity and Monster Kind in the long run!

As his red and blue eyes illuminated within the dull light of the engine room, Gaster made his way out of the power room and back out into the long corridor of the station, the lights now making it easier to traverse the station and locate anyone who may have been aboard at the time. The first person within his sight was an ocean blue clad masked man who too was staring down at one of the many directories on board the Space Station. At the sight of the man backing away, Gaster tensed up slightly, he was weary of anyone he would come across at this point since he had no idea where he was or where here was at all, It wasn't that he was nervous, it was just that Gaster didn't expect to be walking into someone by this point "He senses me, but he isn't acting out yet? Maybe I can approach him." Gaster reasoned to himself. Moving forward through the hall, Gaster walked towards Monarch with a rather blank expression on his face, his hands clasped behind his back and illuminating with dimly lit SOUL Magic in preparation for anything that this person would throw at him.

"Hello?" Gaster called out to Monarch calmly, coming to a stop about a few feet from the masked man "Excuse me, I don't mean to intrude but do you have any clue as to where I am at?" The Ex-Royal Scientist seemingly had a puzzled expression on his face, it was one of slight confusion. Yes, Gaster was still trying to exactly determine why he would end up here of all places, he had never teleported to this location before and would thus be impossible for him to do this of his own accord. All Gaster knew right now was that he wanted an answer and he would eventually find it. Gaster had no idea about the fate of two children Sans and Papyrus and this is what concerned him the most because if he had ended up in such a mysterious location, what would have happened to them?

The world came back in to focus after the flash, with him and every single crew member. "Status report." The helmsmen stuttered for a moment before speaking. "Sir, we've been transported...some where, no energy readings I can find and...tractor beam has us!" He yelled out just before the Ship lurched, nearly sending Sean on his ass. "Report!" The crew of the bridge cringed over their respective stations. "Sir, engines unresponsive, weapons offline, shields are still up but other then that we'er sitting ducks here."

He turned to the view port and sat back down on his chair. "Scanners, i want to know what has us."

Emryn Erye, Farseer

She was floating, or at least if felt like it. Was she dead? No, if she was, then surly She who Thirsts would have taken her by now? She heard a distant hum, the mumble of voices. Oh Gods, the Mong-Keigh, she was on a ship full of Mong-Keigh. She felt her self reach out through the warp, something she did not do often.

She saw her self floating over a strange bed, naked to her utter embarrassment, With a mong-keigh women close to her with some device in her hands. When she reached out to touch her mind, she noticed how faint the connection felt, but she made contact. She nearly re-coiled back, this Mong-keigh were unlike any she had met before. She harbored...no ill feelings. There was a small bit of anxiety, which she could under stand, but she sensed no anger, no hatred. It was if this Mong-keigh didn't know what floated in Front of her.

"Amazing.." She looked back down at the device. The women looked back up to her body and grimaced. Emryn became aware of a burning sensation on her back, just bellow her shoulder blades. She saw the women turn to her left and reach out to her body with a device in hand and a flash of panic ran through her as she felt the women press it against the burning spot, heard a strange sound, and suddenly the pain began to dissipate.

Had the women just healed her? She gave out a small yelp at the injection, her body uttering a soft groan as well. She wanted to stay out more, to observe these strange Mong-keigh but she felt her body pulling her back. "No, no no!" Alas, try as she could, she felt her form returning to its mortal coil.
Her senses felt muddied, as if she were surrounded in a field of goo. She felt her self gently lay on the bed, with who she assumed being the Women, she wagered a doctor of some sort, pulling a blanket up over her. She wanted to wake up, to spring up out of bed and demand to know what's going on, but...she was tired, so...so very tired.

Even as she tried to force her self awake, she rolled on to her side and wrapped her self in the blanket as the feeling over came her and she drifted off in to sleep.

The 6 man Hazard teem stood around him in a tactical formation, each in fully combat gear and lugging a rifle. The TR-116 originally started life out as a special application weapon for environments were Standard Phaser Weapons were rendered useless. How ever as of late it was adopted by MACO as their standard Service rifle after its effectiveness against the Borg, and later the Undine, became appearance. Sean him self carried a Sniper variant slung on his back. His standard uniform didn't have a mag point were the rifle could be stored, so he opted for an old fashion rifle sling instead. On his right hip hung the Phaser Compression pistol, and on his left hip hung the Romulan Saber he always carried on away team missions. "Coms check." The squad leader called out. Each member of the team responded, including him self.

He turned to the Women in in MACO issue Combat gear. "Alright, here's the plan. We transport in, wait a few seconds for personal shielding to recharge, then proceed down the hall way and to the left to the Data Terminal we discovered on the scans. Once we learn just what the hell is going on, we get us much Data back to the Prince as possible and exvil, questions?" One of the Marine nodded his head. "Any Idea what we might be facing, sir?" He shook his head. "Not the faintest of ideas." With that, he heard every Marine load a fresh magazine in to their rifles and nod to him.

He turned to the Ensign behind the transporter console. "Energize."

Command Center
Main Bridge
Aboard the Desolation
Orbit of Dantooine

Vader began to consider the events which had brought him to this point. To the point where he relied on a small droid army to run his ship and keep it functional. To the point wherein he was on the run from both the Galactic Republic (which had strengthened, by far, since the end of the War and their treaty with the Empire) and what was once his Empire, but was now known as the Galactic Empire, run by oligarchs he could not depose nor could he trust. Not easily, anyways. At least he succeeded in purging the galaxy of slavery and the Hutts. Disgusting, vile and worthless creatures.

Nonetheless, Vader considered all these events and began to wonder if this was his destiny. If it was his destiny to, all along, bring order to the galaxy not by conquest, but by unification of a sort in a common goal. Yes, that goal may have been finding and killing him, but... yet, it was unity, of a sort. Vader also considered his long-dead master, Sidious. Wondering what he would have done differently. Wondering if he could've done better and then Vader could've made a move and deposed him after. Vader wondered these things, contemplating them. There was no need to, but he often did look back on his failures out of habit from when he was under his master.

Lord Vader, ships are entering the system. Imperial and Republic in design. What are your orders?”, a masculine voice spoke. It was Vader's Command Droid, which Vader simply referred to as 'Commandant'. The droid looked on Vader, who sat in his throne / command chair in the bridge. Vader knew he had to leave this system - he should've killed those bounty hunters, but he didn't want to risk giving away his position when he was hiding behind an asteroid near here. Now, he paid the price for it - the bounty hunters had given his location to the Empire and to the Republic. Just wonderful. Vader sighed slightly, his cybernetics made it sound a bit more mechanical than intended.

“Commandant, take us into hyperspace now - set the coordinates for as far as we can go.”, Vader ordered. He wanted to fight; to kill the Imperials and Republic-based forces. Oh, he so wanted to. But he knew that it would end in his death, and preservation came first. He still hadn't found an apprentice, but he needed one to replace him - to continue the Sith's existence - in the event he died. Or they killed him. The Commandant saluted, nodding and dispatched necessary orders. The Desolation prepared to enter hyperspace, when - the ship shook, it was coming under fire.

“Commandant! Get us out of here, now!”, Vader roared; “But, Lord Vader, the computer hasn't-” “I gave you an order! GET US INTO HYPERSPACE!” “Right away, m'lord.” The conversation was brief, but the Desolation entered hyperspace. All seemed well as it did so, and the Commandant sat down in his own chair aboard the bridge. However, suddenly, alarms began going off and the Commandant seemed concerned - the ship started shaking. The Desolation's artificial intelligence, which ran the hyperdrive and helped keep all systems in check and answered to the Commandant, appeared before him in holographic form. The artificial intelligence, designated 'The Lady' by most droids and sometimes Vader himself, spoke.

Lord Vader. Something has gone... terribly wrong. It seems the Hyperdrive took us into Deep Hyperspace - by my calculations, unless I pull us out right now, we will be destroyed by the hypermatter cores aboard this ship exploding from overload. Your orders, Lord Vader?”, the Lady spoke. Vader ground his teeth - this is why he hated the Republic and Empire so badly. Or maybe it was the Jedi. Vader didn't care right now; someone was going to pay for this. Vader simply nodded at the Lady, a short “Do it” exiting his lips. With a powerful shudder and shake, the ship began slowing down until it violently began spinning; Vader almost being thrown from his chair. A ship of this size, spinning like this... not good. The spinning stopped, meaning the Lady had regained control just as the Desolation finished exiting hyperspace...

Lord Vader, some systems are damaged. Automatic repairs have begun, but... one moment. It appears we are no longer anywhere galactic maps can register. I believe we left the galaxy,
Sire.
”, the Lady informed him. Vader held back a gasp - he had... left the galaxy? Was that even possible? Vader stood from his chair, walking to the front of the bridge and gazing out the window. What happened? Where was he? Vader's gaze out the window - searching for something, anything to be in sight - was hopefully to be rewarded with something. He needed to get a sense of where he was. But, the important thing was, the Republic nor the Empire would ever even consider entering Deep Hyperspace to catch him... let alone leaving the galaxy. So, for now, he was safe... hopefully.

Aplairus - Isolated island
“This isn’t fair.”
“I know, but we must remain strong Jane. We will get through this, I promise you.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“I… I don’t know; call it a feeling if you will.”

Jane sighed at Marcus, who was levitating beside her as she sat on the beach of this island that was now her hiding place. “So I’m just supposed to trust your ‘feeling’?” She asked the Psymorph, who nodded. “How often have I steered you wrong Jane?” He asked her. Jane remained silent as she thought it over. She could think of many times where her Psymorph friend and guardian Marcus had put her in uncomfortable situations, but he had never done anything that got her hurt. Finally she let out a defeated sigh. “Never.” She said.

Marcus floated down to sit beside the young girl, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. Jane leaned her head against his body. “Why did this have to happen Marcus? Who were those people?” She asked the Psymorph. She was referring to those men in black suits who came to take her away somewhere. Marcus had told her to run while he dealt with them. All she could hear while she ran was the screaming of those said men, and all she could feel was her own panic and Marcus’s anger.

As much as she liked Marcus, his fury scared her, and she would hate to be on the receiving end of his anger. Marcus shook his head in response to her question. “I know not who they were, but I’m willing to bet that we’ve not seen the last of them.” He said to her. A jolt of concern shot through Jane, and of course Marcus could feel it. He looked down at her comfortingly. “But I will protect you from them should they find us.” He assured the girl, making her smile at him.

She couldn’t see any emotion written on the Psymorph’s face, as it was impossible for their face to make any expressions, but she could tell that if he could he’d be smiling at her too. “Thanks Marcus.” Jane said, hugging her alien guardian and friend, who quickly returned the hug. “You’re welcome Jane.” He replied.

This happy and comforting moment was abruptly interrupted by a strange wooshing sound, and Marcus looked behind himself to see a strange shimmering light. Jane saw it too, and she looked at Marcus with concern. “What is that? Is it the men?! Are they here for us?!” She asked the Psymorph, who shook his head. “I think not. But…” Suddenly the light expanded outward, engulfing the two figures.

Marcus grabbed onto Jane tightly as she shut her eyes tightly and screamed. And then they were both gone.

???
The next moment, both of them were sitting in the exact same position as they were on the beach, only this time they were in a long metal corridor of sorts. Marcus looked around cautiously, while Jane slowly opened her eyes to see where they were. “What happened? What is this place?” Jane asked meekly, making Marcus simply shake his head. “I’ve no clue where we are, but this appears to be a structure of some kind.” He answered.

Marcus stood up, then helped Jane (who was considerably shorter than him) to stand as well. “Come. We should find out where we are.” He told the girl, who gave a cautious nod in response. Then the duo began to walk down the corridor, hoping to discover just where it would lead them.

Padme Naberrie

Padme sat meditating within the Jedi Temple. She felt everything around her, the masters glowing like stars, to the younglings, barely visible like a reflection of the masters, but still there. She meditated on the feelings she had bottoled up this cycle, and she let them go, allowing them to drift back into the force. Her mind was clear, and she could begin her work once more. Turning around, she said "All right class, meditation is over, back to the lesson." Today she was teaching the oldest younglings, the ones who were about to become Padawans, about the most holy sites to the Jedi order, that were kept under wraps until they were sure the younglings would continue to progress. Suddenly, the entire Temple shook from beneath them. The younglings asked "Padme, what should we do?" Padme replied simply "Wait here, I'll hopefully be back soon or someone else will help you." Padme then unsheathed her lightsaber, a dual-phase white blade, before running off to see what was happening.

Padme reached the bottom of the temple. There she found various Jedi Knights and members of the council watching a strange glowing blue rift. Master Yoda stood, ready to address them. The little master said "This portal open minutes ago. As sure you can sense I am, it tears through the force itself. Behind this, we must find out what is. Able, one of you must volunteer for a mission to the other side and return as soon as you are." Padme instantly said "I will go master!" The crowd parted before her. Padme walked up to the rift. Yoda said "Be brave, young Naberrie. And may the force be with you, find out what this thing is. Hmmmmmm." Padme told him "I will Master." She then reached forward and stepped through the rift.

Padme found herself in a small room, with a strange device holding a small glowing blue... singularity in the air behind her. Where was she.

INS Ave Maria
6301876.M41
Keck System

"What a colossal waste of time," grumbled Commissar Raege. She took another swig of her recaff - tasted like runny mud, and it was hard to hear much of anything in the officer's galley. Which was pretty massive on its own - it had to feed an entire Imperial Navy Cruiser's worth of officers on its own - and thus cacophonous.

And it was! In a way. The Maria had been called out to the Granber system at the insistence of Inquisitor Levy to investigate signs of Heresy among the lower classes of the rather stratified agri-world's population (at request of the planetary governor). As it was soon revealed (thanks largely to Lancaster and Boone), there wasn't a drop of heretical blood on the entire planet as far as the lower class went.

No, the planetary governor himself had been the damn heretic, as they found out. He wanted them to clean out the lower classes so nobody would have the strength of character or physicality to oppose him - not that they could before, but the governor was a paranoid man. After tearing through a third of his personal guard, the sniveling little shit had the audacity to beg for his life.

It felt very satisfying to send the bastard to the Emperor's judgement.

"Well, we did eliminate a dangerous heretic and prevented an insurrection before it could even start," said Boone in as helpful a tone as she could. She was right, but it didn't improve the commissar's mood. She merely hrmph-'d in reply.

And then there was this new assignment, which seemed like something more fit for the Imperial Navy: The Keck system, a world that was at once close enough to be a quick trip through the Warp away, and far enough to worry about missing the target. An unidentified object had appeared in the asteroid belt of the system that wasn't human, Tau, Eldar, or Necron - and it certainly wasn't Ork in origin. Keck may have been a simple feudal world, but its tithe of Imperial Guards was always on time, they always served the Emperor with loyalty and skill, and the asteroid belt itself was always chock full of precious resources needed to fuel the eternal war machine - enough so that the system's largest asteroid featured a space station of its own. They couldn't determine where the object came from, and that was always a bad sign. It could be ancient human, it could be xeno, it could even be pre-human for all they know.

<<Commissar, we are approaching the object now. You'd better come to the bridge.>>

Raege stood up with a bit of a groan, rubbing the small of her back. It was about time to get that de-aging supplement again. Or maybe she had just taken enough of a beating over the years that even it wasn't able to fix every injury. Boone looked at her in concern, but she shook her head - it was nothing she couldn't handle. She'd been in far worse pain far too many times to count.

Well. That was certainly... something.

Raege, Boone, Lancaster, Captain Toullemonde, and a handful of techpriests were on the bridge, along with a few servitors. Raege always found it rather odd that despite the gargantuan size of Imperial Navy ships, the bridges were never nearly as large - rarely more than 200 square meters on anything smaller than a battlecruiser at least, and even the Emperor-class dreadnoughts rarely had more than 500 for their bridge.

Before them, on the massive set of view screens that served in place of glass, was an enormous heptagonal ring, some twenty-eight kilometers across while the bars were only about 700 meters thick in either direction. It was a solid grey color, not unlike Necron metal but at the same time it was clearly not Necron in origin.

Toullemonde ordered the ship closer to one of the edges to inspect it. Upon closer inspection the edges of the rings were covered in a seemingly random pattern of overlapping square and rectangular grooves, covering all but four sides - the inner side was black as the void apart from fourteen meters on either side.

"Well, what do you make of it, Toullemonde?"

The captain scratched the side of his head, just under his augmented eyes. "Well, with so many multiples of seven, you'd think Nurgle had at least something to do with this."

"There's a 'but' you're leaving out, isn't there?"

"It's sterile. Completely so. Not even so much as a speck of dirt, despite it being clearly ancient."

"Anything else?" There's a bit of noise elsewhere on the bridge, but the commissar doesn't notice - or doesn't care. Bridge noise always fades in and out of volume.

"No, commissar. Our sensors can't penetrate it any more than our eyes can. For all we know it could be full of grox dung." Odd, it's getting noisier. What are all the servitors so excited over... ah.

"I see. And did you deliberately order the ship to drift towards the center while I wasn't looking or was that accidental?"

"Drif-wha-WHAT?"

The panic in his voice was unexpected, and in that moment all hell broke loose. The black of the inner edges of the heptagon shifted to a brilliant glowing blue, and an enormous swirling vortex of terror swept across the 'surface' of the heptagon's interior.

It was a Warp Gate of some sort - an ancient one, an unstable one, and, oh dear, a hungry one.

<<Attention all personnel! We are being sucked into a Warp Gate - grab onto something!>>

You didn't need to tell Raege twice. She grabbed onto the nearby iron railing, Lancaster practically wrapped herself around it with all four limbs, Boone grabbed onto Raege while making the mixture of screaming and crying she made whenever she got frightened like this, and Toullemonde gripped the controls as hard as he can.

The whole ship shuddered and rocked as it was pulled in...

And as soon as it had begun, it was over. The ship was rattled, but not broken.

<<Report!>> called out Raege and Toullemonde, almost simultaneously.

<<Sir! Warp drive and weapons are offline! Sensors and engines are damaged but functional, no other damage.>>

Boone sat up and sniffled, but she too seemed unhurt. Lancaster unwrapped herself from the railing and stood up.

"Ho-"

"SIR! Unidentified ship directly in front and below us! We're on a collision course!"

"Pull UP, dammit, PULL UP," howled Toullemonde as he practically threw himself onto the helm-servitor in an attempt to provide as much assistance as he could. Just narrowly, the two's combined strength managed to avoid collision, the underside of the Ave Maria passing over the top side of the strange ship by just a few dozen meters. The Maria entered a sideways slide in space as it used its own maneuvering system to pull itself to a stop, broadside to the nose of the ship and about five kilometers distant.

It was an odd ship, consisting of a saucer and a tube-like hull beneath it with two glowing pontoons above it. It was also tiny - it couldn't have possibly been over a kilometer in length.

"Scan it," the captain ordered. Boone was spooked, but no worse for wear at least. So was Raege, but she rarely showed fear to begin with.

"As I was saying, how are we, Lancaster?"

[[Nobody's hurt seriously as far as I can tell. But we have a problem.]]

"Besides being lost?"

[["We're not just lost. We're about as lost as we can be. I can't sense the Astronomican.]]

"Try-"

[[I am telling you, Commissar. It isn't there. Wherever we are, the Emperor's light does not shine on it. We may not even be in our own galaxy, or if we are, we could be millennia in the past. Perhaps ten, perhaps ten thousand.]]

"So what you're saying is..."

[[We are right and proper fucked.]]

Vader had seen nothing for a long while. Then, he had spotted it - a large space station or construct of some sort. So, wherever he was, it was inhabited by an advanced species. Vader had the station scanned... no technology was detected that was similar. Another important observation: he wasn't just not in his own galaxy, but somewhere with advanced alien species that used different bases of technology, meaning they could be more effective than standard weaponry Vader was used to. It could also mean they were weaker, but that may be unlikely. Vader continued to stare at this strange construct, before...

Lord Vader, I have run a full system scan and diagnostics to ensure the scanners were functioning properly. It appears we are not the only ship here. Two other ships are in this system, wherever this system is. They are not like the station, so I presume them to be of different origin as well. What are your orders, Sire?”, the Lady spoke up. Vader frowned slightly. Two other possible species or civilizations with single ships in this system? Had they suffered a similar failure of their Hyperdrives, or the equivalents? Very possible. In fact, it may even be probable. But what could cause such a thing on such a massive scale... Vader narrowed his eyes. Perhaps, the Force had brought him here. But for what purpose?

After running further scans, Sire, it seems that one ship is smaller than ours - not by a huge margin, but smaller still. And the other is... five kilometers, perhaps more or less, long.”, the Lady informed. Vader's eyes widened - five kilometers? Vader knew of dreadnoughts in his home galaxy that were near that size. Heavy Dreadnoughts or even Battlestations more than they were dreadnoughts. But someone had built an actual ship that was five kilometers? Vader decided that he should concern himself with the larger ship. It posed a much larger threat than one of roughly equivalent size. At least, as far as he knew, but he had to work with what he knew. There was no other option.

“Attempt to hail the larger ship on all channels. I must determine their hostility, first and foremost, as well as what happened. Do it quickly.”, Vader stressed. He did not want to die in some foreign star system in some foreign galaxy after just escaping death from the hands of those in the Empire and the Republic. He refused such a fate. The Lady confirmed his orders and began sifting through comms channels, attempting to open audio communications with the larger ship - and, if they were determined to be even further compatible, perhaps holocommunications could be opened. Vader sighed, rubbing his temple; frustrated, rage coursing through him. Why did this have to happen to him? Why did the Force, if it was the Force's will to do this, choose him? Couldn't it have chosen a Jedi? Unless... unless this was a mission or destiny far too mighty for a Jedi to handle. Yes, that could be it. Vader nodded to himself, reassured. Meanwhile, the Lady continued attempting to hail the ship.

[[Attention alien craft, attention alien craft. This is the Control Intelligence, designation 'Lady', of the ship designated as the Desolation. My master, Lord Vader, has ordered me to contact you in hopes we can open communications.]], the Lady's message said in her feminine, vaguely human but still mechanical voice. The Lady repeatedly sent this message on every channel she knew. Vader just hoped the message got through, or they didn't deem him hostile. Vader sighed slightly. Perhaps, even, he would dock with the larger ship to meet those in command of it. Perhaps, he could forge an alliance - yes, that could be beneficial. The Empire and the Republic wouldn't dare attack him again if he had an ally such as that. Then again... it may look weak to rely on a stronger ally. No matter; that could be settled later. Vader waited for a response, or for them to open communications.

USS Black Prince NCC-2552-C
Unknown Location | Stationary in proximity to unknown station
Lt. Cmd Lia Obrenen
Second in Command.

Lia sat in the con. The brunet blew a strand of loose hair out of her vision as the bridge crew went about their business, though she was monitoring the progress of the away team through bridge crew. It had been nearly 10 minuets of silence as the team moved through the hallways and she had honestly gotten bored. Well, it was a sort of on edge boredom, similar to a soldier waiting in a trench for something to do.

Her boredom was shattered how ever by the navigation's officer suddenly yelling. "Energy spike, un-known type but its hug-" She was cut off by the helmsmen, "Object coming out of..something, high speed, it's going to hit us!" Shit! "Hit the maneuvering thrusters!" As the ship got closer, the notoriously slow working maneuvering thrusters of the Black Prince ( a little known trait shared with all Sovereign class ships) begin to force the ship downward. "Brace for impact!" She yelled and gripped the chair.

The whole bridge held it collective breath as the massive unknown ship sailed over head, it's own maneuvers causing it to barely miss the top of the bridge by a few meters at most. It turned and seemed to bleed of inertia before coming to a stop broad side on to the Prince and roughly 5 klicks out. "Have the fighter and gunboat crews ready to launch, and I want that thing scanned now!"'
It took only a moment before the crew got back to her. "Ma'am, it appears to be a ship of unknown origin and make, reading strange shielding, strange weaponry- we'er being scanned!" She grimaced. "Weapons status?" The tac officer piped up. "Phaser arrays offline, blown circuit, torpedo tubes are up and running." She nodded.

They should still have a set of 4 standard quantum warheads loaded, if the repair crew hadn't unloaded them, which she hoped they hadn't. She stared at the monstrous thing of a ship, it couldn't have been less then a kilometer long. "Hail them." The coms officer looked at her. "The signal is weak ma'am, still haven't gotten it fully repaired yet." "Can we still do audio?" The officer looked down at the console, hit a few keys, and looked back up to her and nodded. She pressed the key on the control pad of the captain's chair, opening a channel over open frequencies.

"Unidentified vessel, this is the captain of the USS Black Prince, we harbor no ill will and are likely as lost as you are." She paused. "We ask you identify your selves be fore further communication can take place."

Tora

They were playing the national anthem.

What the hell was happening? And Would she have to salute, or scorn whoever was doing it? She grumbled, picking her sidearm up, and holstering it. She grabbed her rifle sling and raised her weapon, and made her way down the hallway carefully. Her gear was a bit awkward to move with, but she wasn't sure if she would need to abandon it or not.

She reached a corner, and peeked around....

Torii

Was she back home? She wouldn't be surprised if she was. It seemed too different to be home, though. She got up, and ahead of herself she saw what the other falling noises her. Her rifle! She thought she'd lost it. Then there was her handgun, and even...

It had to be the work of God. Her guitar? She was confused now, even more...

She didn't know what was happening, but she didn't feel too put off, at least not yet. She was still nervous, though, for some reason. She gathered all of her items and began to walk down the corridor, looking for anything that could tell her about where she was.

INS Ave Maria

??? System

Jonquil "Cuddles" Lancaster had never been more sure of anything in her life (besides the certainty of the Emperor's might, that is) - they were as lost as they could possibly be, cast by the strange Warp Gate into the great unknown where or when beyond the reach of any part of the Imperium of Man, possibly with no chance of returning home.

And she didn't want to admit it, but she hadn't told the entire truth to Raege - they could have also been sent into the far future. However, a future without the Emperor, without the Imperium, was not an idea she liked to entertain, and she imagined the commissar (and the rest of the crew) would like it even less. So she was silent on that notion, though the way Boone was looking at her, she suspected she could tell what she was thinking. Or maybe she'd figured it out herself - Boone was a smart girl, smarter than most of the people on this ship.

The vox crackled to life with little warning, and a picture came on the screens ahead - another ship was communicating with them. It was hard to make out (the sensors were still on the fritz), but this one was very much unlike the one they had nearly rammed. It was shaped like an arrowhead, for one thing, with a much more distinct tower-like bridge.

<<Attention ali... ft.. .this is Contol Intelligence, designation 'Lady', of the ship designated as the Desolation. My master, Lord Vader, has ordered me to contact you in hopes we can open communications.>>

Cuddles turned to Raege, who turned to Toullemonde, who turned to Boone. The psyker shrugged. "Never heard of him."

[[Worth a try,]] Cuddles 'said', shrugging. [[If anything, that proves my suspicion. We definitely aren't in the Imperium, and probably not in the galaxy. I've never heard of a ship having AI.]]

"Scan the Desolation."

The scan, oddly enough, went much faster despite the Desolation being both bigger and further away. It still took a few minutes, and in the meantime, the ship they had nearly collided with contacted them. And they hadn't even finished that ship either.

<<Unidentified vessel, this is the captain of the USS Black Prince,>> spoke a brunette Human female in a very unusual (and plain) uniform. <<We harbor no ill will and are as likely as lost as you are. We ask you to identify yourselves before further communication can take place.>>

Toullemonde paused.

"What were the results of our scan of the 'Black Prince'?"

"Largely human, a handful of xeno signatures - one Eldar, a few of unidentified species."

"Xenos? On a human ship? Are they with the Ordo Xenos as well?"

"Doubt it," Raege commented. "Never heard of a 'Black Prince' as a prince or a ship, and that's not an Imperium ship prefix they're using."

Toullemonde sighed audibly. "I'd really rather not cohort with heretics, but until we get engines and weapons back online we're sitting ducks. Hail them both, all Vox channels."

<<This is captain Joachim Toullemonde of the INS cruiser Ave Maria. I'll probably regret this later, but with our situation, c'est la vie. For now, we are willing to cooperate with any ships in the area to determine our location.>>

The Lady informed Vader of the response message that came from the larger ship and seemed to also be sent to the smaller one. An open audio communications line, then. The presumed communications officer of the foreign ship identified themselves as Jean Toullemonde. Not a human name he'd ever heard before. And, based on what he saw, the Ave Maria was not a ship he could recognize; nor did its name have any significant meaning to him. They were also wondering what happened here. That means they didn't understand it either, then. Good; at least he wasn't alone with lack of knowledge. The Lady said visuals were also possible, so Vader decided to reveal himself by joining the open channel.

“I wish to establish a formal greeting to my... fellow men. I am Lord Vader. And...it seems we all share a universal situation of not knowing where we are. If we aren't in my galaxy, nor either of yours, that means we are all in an alien galaxy with no knowledge of the natives, their threat, nor their technology... and there seems to be an observation station or something of that sort of theirs orbiting a planet nearby based on the Lady's scans.

I am not sure how you all arrived here, but I was under attack from some... criminal scum, some were even aliens themselves, from my native galaxy. I had to jump to hyperspace - the form of faster-than-light travel my ships use - to escape. Something went horribly wrong and I entered Deep Hyperspace, which apparently took me out of my galaxy and dropped me... here. I am not sure what systems of travel you use, but am sure something of a similar nature brought you here.

Now, I believe our first order of business should be to investigate that observation station I noted earlier. We need to determine who or what the natives are, how powerful they are, and whether they pose a threat to our immediate survival. Further talks between us should occur in the meantime while the Lady can continue scans of the station to determine if... physical investigation is necessary.”, Vader finished his greeting speech; his voice somewhat mechanical due to the cybernetics in his lungs. He wasn't sure of the humans or aliens in the smaller ship, but it seemed the humans of the larger ship spoke Basic.

That was good. It at least returned some sense of familiarity. Vader muted his communications for now, his face still on screen as he turned to speak to the Lady; asking her to keep track of the weapons on both ships to make sure they weren't preparing to fire. Vader then unmuted himself, and looked forward at the people before him. Vader's yellow-orange eyes were somewhat narrowed; his hands, while he was wearing armor, folded behind his back. Vader began to consider something; sensing something aboard their ships. They felt... not wrong, but different, in the Force than what he was used to. As if they were connected, and yet... not. Vader, curious, decided to use a probe; reaching out with the Force to try and feel their signatures to get a better sense of what he was dealing with. He didn't do an invasive probe, yet; he didn't want to alarm the other humans, nor engage hostilities. He simply reached out to... touch their presence.

Uzgrod reached into his the compartment on his torso he opened the small door and, a snotling came crawling out and quickly made it's way to the side of Uzgrods head. "Get uf me hed befor I punt yah Snum", the snotling quickly moved to his shoulder instead. Uzgrod wandered around for several more minutes completely lost, he knew he should've read that big map. Then he heard something, loud blaring music that sounded human. "Yah hear that too snum, wez got sum hummies with us let's giv um a proper ork greeting."

Uzgrod quickly began to follow the sound of the musicm maybe they could tell him what in Gork's name was going on. Or maybe they would just try to shoot him either way he's going to have his fun.

She let out a breath and let her grip on the char loosen. The secondary scans of the ship came up. "Ma'am, detecting Human signatures in to the thousands." She frowned. "Great." She looked to the tac officer. "Report?" The Young Trill women piped up. "Ma'am, Anti-proton arrays are up, both omnidirectional bays are still offline, and we have four torps loaded." She nodded. Finally, some good news. "Load Tri-colbalt warheads in to tubes 5 and 6, set them to arm only when launched."

She turned back to the screen. She keyed in the horn and spoke. "I am Lieutenant Commander Lia O'brennon, acting captain as of late. TO be quite honest, we have no idea what's going on either..., though the help would be appreciated."

Farseer Erye
Mong-keigh ship
Med bay

Few things if any could escape the senses of a Farseer, especially one trained for centuries on the craft world of Ulthwé. She had noted a lack of connection to the immaterial realm while aboard the ship, even while asleep her mind began to reassert it self. What ever she gave me must have put me to sleep as well.

She had been trying for some minuets now to awaken enough of her mind to allow for her to leave her coil and explore when...something touched her mind. This put a shot of adrenaline through here system, so to speak, and her mind ripped it self free of her body with the sudden communication. Her spirit snapped towards were the hand had come from, something out side of the ship, another ship most likely. She almost held a bead of hope, perhaps it was one of her kind come to save her. But...the more she observed the mental probe the more she found her hopes falling.

It was...cold, cold as the void of space and seethed with rage, sorrow, anger, oh Eisha so much anger. This was not Eldar, nor was it Mong-keigh...this was almost...demonic, as if a demon spawn had possessed some other creature. With her spirit fully awake and her body (presumably) safe she focused her mind, pooling her collective energy and refined it. Who ever dared touched the mind of a far seer would know that their intrusion would not go unnoticed.

She returned a probe of her own.
