The death of his Wife an son on Kholo only depend his depression and mental health problems but he is stable now thanks to several years of mental help. At this time Jackson is stable but still deals with several mental health issues including depression.
Dr. Erik Small

BIOGRAPHY:

In 2520 in a small homestead outside Glasheim, Harvest, Jackson was born to a farming and rebellious family, his father was a farmer by day and a terrorist by night, his brother was two years older than him and his best and really only friend his mother taught him love while giving him an education suitable for his life as a farm boy. On February third a covenant ship was spotted above Harvest in the following weeks the planet exploded into action, killing thousands, A couple weeks later on February 23rd Jackson with his family were assembled in Utgard with 250,000 other civilians evacuating the planet during this process he was separated from the rest of his family and boarded the Withering Flame a civilian cargo freighter evacuating the planet his family was on another. During the evacuation he spotted his family's ship before it was torn apart by covenant aircraft... there were no survivors.

He was adopted by a family on Kholo and had a lonely and unimportant childhood, during his early teen years after constant bullying and depression about his family he attempted to slit his wrists and kill himself, he was found by his adopted mother and rushed to the hospital where they saved him. After this event he underwent psychiatric evaluation and therapy to no avail later on he attempted to commit suicide again this time he almost succeeded in drowning himself in his houses bathroom before again his mother stopped him. A year later when he was 16 he tried again to shoot himself in the head with a stolen pistol, the shot missed his skull by centimeters and left him with a terrible scar on he left side of his face near his temple still depressed, he tried again but stopped when he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, Susan Kris. Susan brought him to the hospital and was his support for his third time in psychiatric treatment, after this event the two forged a deep and loving relationship until at the age of 17 Susan became pregnant with Jackson's son and nine months later Ryan Anderson was born between the still in love teenage couple. When the two turned 18 on the day of Susan's birthday, jack proposed and she accepted and the two were wed later though only for two months before he enlisted in the UNSC Marine Corp.

During basic Training he emerged as a prominent soldier and expert level field medic for fast moving units and volunteered to undergo training for the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper units as a field medic and doctor. After this he was allowed leave to see his family again and asked them to leave Kholo for a safer, closer to earth planet his wife denied him stating that she would not move away from her birth planet and away from her parents and other family. He left his family for the front lines two weeks later received news that the two had been killed when the Covenant glassed the planet, upon receiving the news of this he immediately broke down and has never fully recovered. After this event his depression was the worst it had been leading him to become almost emotionless and not able to find friends or fit in with regular society any more.

Over the years after this event he had served in half a dozen major battles with at least 100 confirmed enemy kills in about 14 operations most of these were when he was stationed with an Airborne regiment on Llanelli, Sargasso, and Imber, during the fighting on Imber his unit came under heavy fire and in spite of his best attempts most of his brothers were slaughtered. He has been on leave and guard duty after this event and has not been in any major contact with covenant forces afterward and no notable events beside treatment for his mental instability.

After about a year of inactivity Jackson was transferred to unit QUASAR in ONI's black initiative.

NAME: BRADLEY, Thomas
BIRTHPLACE: New Barbados, Emerald Cove
SEX: MALE
AGE/DoB: 24 - 1/14/2525
FAMILY:
  • BRADLEY, Maxwell (Father, ALIVE)
  • BRADLEY, Rachel (Mother, ALIVE)
  • BRADLEY, Simon (Brother, ALIVE)
  • BRADLEY, Eric (Brother, ALIVE)
  • BRADLEY, Morgan (Brother, ALIVE)

APPEARANCE: Thomas is described as standing at around 5'10 and weighing in at exactly 150 lbs when not in full combat gear. Thomas is known to have a lean build, albeit more fit due to exercise, despite his rather slim size and body weight. Thomas has messy, usually unkempt black hair and green eyes, with facial hair comprising of a slight beard, and a mustache. Skin is a fair tone, though can be considered pale in comparison to others akin to someone with excessive time spent indoors or on a starship. Ensign Bradley is also known to possess a medium sized tattoo of the number "7" on his right forearm - the purpose and meaning behind this is unknown.

RANK: Ensign
PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENT:
UNSC NAVY: UNSC Taipei, Communications Officer - [TRANSFER]
ONI SECTION I; UNSC PROWLER CORPS: UNSC I Spy - [TRANSFER]

SPECIALTY: Technician (Software Specialist)
BDU DESIGN: RECON
MODIFICATIONS: Standard Recon spec ODST BDU issued to BLACK Initiative Operatives. Additional customizations made include a TACPAD and computer dock on right forearm for ease of access into computer systems. Recon helmet itself is equipped with a hardened uplink (HUL) module for MILINT acquisition, and Command Network Module attachment. Any and all other computer hardware, data pads, and power supplies are carried in a standard-issue ODST rucksack, while a portable blowtorch is carried on a side holster should the physical access of computer systems be necessary. A toolkit containing screwdrivers, wires, and other pertinent equipment is strapped onto the rucksack. In order to compensate for the moderate increase in weight due to the amount of computer systems and equipment carried, Thomas has requisitioned an additional holster exclusively for carrying his primary weapon, a M7S Silenced SMG, to be placed on his free hip, while his M6C SOCOM will remain on an ankle holster.

SKILLS:
+ Hackerman - Ensign Bradley has displayed extensive knowledge of technology and computer systems, and possesses hacking skills that far outclass any civilian or ONI hacker the UNSC has ever seen. The only feasible opponent to his skills would be, of course, an A.I. Unlike most hackers, however, Ensign Bradley has had limited experience with Covenant computer systems, something that the BLACK Initiative has been longing for. (see Biography)
+ Meticulous - Thomas almost always takes the time to leave virtually no traces or "bread crumbs" behind in preserving his anonymity, esp. in computer work.
+ Resourceful - Thomas will work - usually with a degree of success - around a variety of issues with only the bare minimum at times, provided that it is somewhat technology based in nature.
    - Limited combat experience - Compared to most others on the roster, Thomas is not a frontline soldier, nor is he especially skilled with a rifle. He can shoot, of course, but for the most part has replaced raw combat experience and skill with his intelligence.
    - Negligible leadership skills - Ensign Bradley has never himself led a squad; most of his work in the UNSC Navy and Prowler Corps was either under the command of a captain or semi-independent in nature, respectively. A marine NCO could honestly lead a squad better than him.

PSYCH EVALUATION:
Evaluation carried out by: UNSC Dr. Joseph Eden, UNSC Do No Harm.

Reserved, quiet, and distrustful of nearly everyone he comes across, Ensign Bradley fits the description of your typical "hacker" that you would expect - someone who keeps to himself and keeps himself higher over all others. When I asked the question, "Who would you save: Yourself or your team?", to him, Ensign Bradley almost immediately answered "myself", to my surprise. When asked about his rationale for his answer, Ensign Bradley gave the response: "It's human nature. I grew up as the youngest child in my family and always got the short end of the stick. If it comes down to it, I'm prioritizing myself over everyone else at this point - what's the point in trying to save someone that's already dead? I've watched millions of people die from just a window up in orbit when the Covenant glassed those worlds, but what could we do to help them? I'm honestly desensitized to this shit at this point. It's only a matter of time until they find Earth, which they will find at some point. Luckily, I'll be far, far away when the apocalypse finally does happen."

According to an anonymous crewmate in a previous interview, Ensign Bradley has been described as "a good guy - doesn't have a lot of problems, follows his orders, but there's something definitely wrong with him in the head. He just doesn't come out as normal to me." Reports indicate that Thomas rarely comes out of his quarters, if at all, according to crew reports during his service onboard the UNSC I Spy - except, of course, when he is needed immediately. He has been asked in previous Evals if he is struggling with depression or any other mental health issues, to which he replies plainly with "No." every single time. When asked about his experience with computers, Ensign Bradley has shown great enthusiasm and skill with operating computer systems, and displays exemplary behavior as his role aboard the I Spy, even when under pressure. Ensign Bradley has been asked whether or not he feels that he is on the autism spectrum - but no formal reply has been given as of now, though interview with his family has suggested that he is most definitely not.

Ensign Bradley has almost always shown acceptable behavior in following orders and cooperating with colleagues when transferring to different deployments, though lacks interaction with most colleagues for the majority of his deployment. Despite his almost perfect conduct record (Barring that one particular incident), I would recommend that Ensign Bradley take the time to interact more with others. Prolonged solidarity has decreased mental stability in some individuals, and we are both well aware of how the ground forces treat those who like it be "lone wolves". I have faith that Ensign Bradley's most recent deployment, wherever it may be, should be especially interesting this time.

No further examinations reported.

- Dr. Eden

BIOGRAPHY:
Report Compiled by ONI Field Agent, CODENAME: KILROY
AUTHOR'S NOTE: It has come to my attention that ONISTO is in need of a report on Ensign Thomas Bradley in light of his recent redeployment to Division Quasar. It's a harder job than you might think - this department just loves to use up all their black ink over information that's practically useless. Anyways, most of the intel here is from Bradley's original file - at least, the intel that wasn't covered up in seven layers of black ink. Anything that was covered up is instead coming from my own dossier on him, for your eyes only.
-K.Roy

Thomas Bradley was born in New Barbados, Emerald Cove, on January 14, 2525. He was the fourth son to Maxwell and Rachel Bradley, both settler colonists to the Emerald Cove colony. Though spying on kids isn't my job, I do know the following from interviewing his family: As the youngest son out of three other brothers, the older Bradley brothers often teased and made fun of him for his awkward behavior, which included obsessive use of electronics and a lack of regular interaction with others. Thomas had a fairly normal childhood on New Barbados, notably earning exceptional grades in mathematics and the sciences, but for the most part remained unremarkable. That was, of course, until 2542, when Thomas began to pique ONI's interest - and my own interest - suddenly.

Thomas's search history pre-2542 indicated that he was especially gifted in the technical field and computer sciences, impressive for a 17 year old growing up in a somewhat rural area, at the time. Such searches included advanced mathematics and UNSC history, among other topics. While he initially had no intentions whatsoever on joining the UNSC, he was far from oblivious to the ongoing war that the UNSC was waging against the Covenant in the outer colonies. Most colonies far away from the fighting assumed this to simply be made-up stories of fighting the Insurrectionists to boost morale and the UNSC's public appeal, but Thomas knew from the start this was a ruse. No normal "insurrection" could simply hop from planet to planet in an instant and wipe out UNSC fleets and defenses alike just as quickly. And somehow, a 17 year old on a mostly irrelevant Colony knew about the Covenant well before it became an issue to him.

I was not tasked on INCIDENT: HYPERBOLE in 2542, as I was dealing with further investigations into the Insurrection of Mamore at the time, though I do know that in this incident in question, a cyber security breach was detected by Section I on Emerald Cove briefly, before mysteriously vanishing soon after. Although these were mostly useless files and reports with little confidentiality, ONI knew that even little files like these, leaked to the public, could have severe consequences. Further investigation into this incident, well after Thomas had joined the UNSC, had revealed that he in fact was the hacker in question, whose intent at the time seemed to be cracking the lies of the UNSC's "victory" at Harvest by looking at photos from the battle himself. By then he had admitted that he was the only person in possession of these photos and intelligence, which has now been confirmed. This clearly showed us that Thomas knew about the Covenant well before they began to become ubiquitous in the Outer Colonies - he was in possession of otherwise sensitive information that no normal 17 year old could acquire without having an extensive knowledge in hacking and our own computer systems. Yet this teenager, an otherwise unremarkable "script kiddie" and UNSC Naval cadet, could almost effortlessly access the files of our Emerald Cove wing and point out our system's vulnerability. We had to admit: the kid was a genius. You could even call him gifted. While we were considering suspending him at first due to the obvious repercussions of having such files, the Office instead brushed this incident off his academic record and let him off with a warning so long as he agreed not to discuss this or do anything of that degre again - he had a spotless conduct record, after all, and essentially helped us pinpoint various vulnerabilities in our own cyber security grid. Our rationale was that Thomas, and his talents could be used later for our advantage in the war.

Thomas partook in the evacuation and abandoning of Emerald Cove in 2542, when he and his brothers finally decided to enlist in the UNSC. Simon and Eric went on to become Army and Marine Corps NCOs, respectively, while Morgan enlisted in the Air Force elsewhere. This left Thomas, fresh out of the Academy, to enlist in the Navy, taking up the recently vacant spot of Communications Officer onboard the Destroyer, the UNSC Taipei, which had also partook in the evacuation effort.

I actually first came to know about Thomas personally when I was tasked with investigating a peculiar incident on the UNSC Taipei in September of 2546. During the fleet battle over Imber, a remarkable victory against a Covenant fleet occurred, after Bradley intercepted important Covenant transmissions that allowed forces on the ground to decimate Covenant forces and reinforcements, as well as allowing the UNSC fleet to outmaneuver the disoriented Covenant fleet, so much so that the Covenant abandoned their campaign on Imber entirely following this. Following his promotion to Ensign, I personally interviewed Thomas as to figure out how such a feat was possible. Said information has already been documented in another report of mine, but Thomas has expressed that "it's easier to hack them than you may think." Section I personally recommended that I recruit Ensign Bradley into the Prowler Corps immediately following Imber to be tasked with espionage and communications interception against the Covenant, onboard the Prowler UNSC I Spy.

While under the Prowler Corps, Ensign Bradley completed all his regular reports and missions, but notably was much more reclusive and lacked major interaction with the other crew, to my surprise. The I Spy had been crucial in the evacuation of millions of civilians and colonies, but also had been too late on multiple occasions, unable to keep up with the accuracy and speed of the Covenant Navy's advanced slipspace technology. Despite witnessing millions die from the Covenant glassing campaign, drops in morale notably did not appear on Ensign Bradley's regular psychiatric exams, suggesting that the sight of these attacks no longer would have had a lasting effect on him.

I received reports back in 2548 of the UNSC I Spy's continued work in the field, especially during the campaign at Meridian. It was Bradley's work once more which allowed the defending Air Force garrison and the Orbital Defense Grid, in coordination with the Prowler, to hold off against the attacking Covenant - a campaign which is still going on as of now. Bradley's work in intercepting Covenant communications and assessing enemy computer systems had once again showed his prowess in the field, which - might I add as a personal note - ONI was literally dying for at this point.

The last bit of Intel I have on Ensign Bradley was a documentation on his recruitment into ONISTO's BLACK Initiative: a new special operations task force which, officially, does not exist, but has gained quite a reputation for many successful missions, including the recent victory at Paris IV. Because of the apparent lack of someone with Bradley's set of skills in the the BLACK division known as Quasar, Ensign Bradley was promptly assigned to Quasar, serving onboard the UNSC Salt the Earth, currently stationed in drydock at Aszod, Reach. Ensign Bradley arrived at Reach and the UNSC Salt the Earth a month after the Battle of Paris IV, where he will await further deployment as one of Division Quasar's newest members.

Any and all pertinent information, including updated information on Ensign Bradley, will be posted on this document as necessary.

I assume Thomas was still on his home planet when he hacked into ONI, which would be impossible unless the systems were based on that planet (or passing through via ship) as no interplanetary system exists. Otherwise, ACCEPTED.

My primary issue would be the mental instability. Since the previous suicide attempts happened during his teenage years, well before he enlisted, that's no problem, but the fourth attempt and his instability would likely get him discharged or, at the very least, remove him from consideration for any spec-ops unit as that could well prove fatal to the entire team. If possible could that be changed?

That was my intention - I forgot to put that in my app. Sorry.

I'm assuming the roster will be updated soon, so you're fine with me posting later?

Minor thing so it's fine. Regardless, feel free to start posting.

Alright. Tomorrow's gonna be busy for me because of my exams, but I should be good to post afterwards.

No rush. Don't plan to start the next mission yet anyway.

Just wanted to let you know I'm still here. Have had a bit of writers block and a bit busy with an overtime work week. That and I didn't see anything tangential to post after the combat scenes that was necessary for further plot development. Just making sure because I didn't see my name in the Roster.
